Let's move onto the next one, this week's Victim will be none other than Rhyperior!

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 180 SpD / 60 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

The goat is back and better than ever. Swords Dance takes great advantage of common defensive staples in Moltres and Salamence to propel Stone Edge and Earthquake to terrifying heights, threatening to leave nothing but destruction in the wake of the new wrecking ball Rhyperior.

How will you beat this Solid Rock?
Deadline is March 11th 10pm GMT +8, Good luck.

Tangrowth @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Hidden Power Ice
- Synthesis

This is a counter as it can easily pressure rhyperior with giga drain to instantly any damage rhyperior done or synthesis to recover any hp it lost and slap it with giga drain the next turn. Knock off also makes it so rhyperior is worse at dealing with other pokemon

16+ Atk Rhyperior Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth: 100-118 (24.7 - 29.2%) -- 99.9% chance to 4HKO
+2 16+ Atk Rhyperior Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth: 198-234 (49 - 57.9%) -- 96.1% chance to 2HKO
+4 16+ Atk Rhyperior Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tangrowth: 297-349 (73.5 - 86.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
0 SpA Tangrowth Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 180 SpD Solid Rock Rhyperior: 327-387 (75.3 - 89.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Even if rhyperior gets to +4 you can easily giga drain to make sure you are out of range of stone edge even after several rounds of stealth rocks and at +2 it isnt even doing 60.

:Breloom:
Breloom @ Life Orb :Life Orb:
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Swords Dance

Rhyperior is just setup fodder because of Spore and even if it does wake up, it's doing nothing to Breloom.

:Breloom: -> :Rhyperior:
252+ Atk Technician Breloom Bullet Seed (3 hits) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 486-576 (111.9 - 132.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Technician Breloom Bullet Seed (2 hits) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 636-756 (146.5 - 174.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
:Rhyperior: -> :Breloom:
16+ Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Breloom: 96-114 (36.7 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
16+ Atk Rhyperior Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Breloom: 96-114 (36.7 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Decided to bring the Don. Great for removing any hazards that Rhyperior attempts to set up because he's the absolute god and is to be feared.

Donphan @ Soft Sand
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 180 Atk / 76 Def
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Rapid Spin
- Odor Sleuth

180+ Atk Soft Sand Donphan Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 231-274 (53.2 - 63.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
16+ Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Donphan: 136-162 (35.4 - 42.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Goat. EVs let you win. Odor Sleuth to spin on ghost types if they try and spinblock, but that's not possible because its the Don. Thank you.

:ss/tapu-bulu:

Tapu Bulu @ Life Orb/Rockium Z
Adamant Nature
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Horn Leech
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

252+ Atk Tapu Bulu Horn Leech vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior in Grassy Terrain: 423-498 (97.4 - 114.7%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
16+ Atk Rhyperior Stone Edge vs. 32 HP / 0 Def Tapu Bulu: 144-169 (49.8 - 58.4%) -- 68.4% chance to 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

Bulu switches in on eq for free and can take 2 stone edges well enough as horn leech + terrain heals a decent amount unless you're clicking it into a 4x resist. If you invest some bulk or drop a move for synthesis/leech you're basically walling rhyperior for the whole game.

anyways

:ss/zarude-dada:
Zarude-Dada @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Darkest Lariat
- Power Whip
- U-turn
- Jungle Healing

Due to natural bulk, Zarude eats up Earthquake's and can actually avoid a 2HKO from unboosted Stone Edge most of the time. Power Whip is also a guaranteed OHKO (unless you miss kek).

:zarude-dada: 252 Atk Zarude Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 444-525 (102.3 - 120.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO :rhyperior:

:rhyperior: 16+ Atk Rhyperior Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zarude: 154-183 (43.8 - 52.1%) -- 14.1% chance to 2HKO :zarude-dada:

reserving washtom

:bw/rotom wash:
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp

Hydro Pump always OHKO rhyperior and you live a +2 Stone Edge, if you miss Hydro Pump well......

+2 16+ Atk Rhyperior Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Rotom-Wash: 229-271 (75.3 - 89.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Rotom-Wash Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 180 SpD Solid Rock Rhyperior: 459-543 (105.7 - 125.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Noticing a bunch of haters who are too narrow minded to consider the power that Donphan brings. In addition to being the strongest spinner in the tier with a massive 120 base attack and 120 defense, its prowess in the hazard control departement with access to both stealth rock and rapid spin allows it to enable the strongest Mega in the tier, Mega Beedrill. Due to the hefty restrictions being placed upon me, I am refusing to vote for an inferior option. I want my teams to only have the BEST Rhyperior answers. I have no need to prove the power of the elephant for a bunch of simple minded fools who don't know a good check when they see one. I'll see you all at 1100 ELO on the NDUU ladder.

With a majority on Tapu Bulu for Check and Tangrowth for Counter, congrats to R1C3M4N and HydreigonTheChild for winning this weeks' round! Your submissions will be added to the Hall of Fame shortly.

Let's move onto the next one, this week's Victim will be none other than Nihilego.

:ss/nihilego:
Nihilego @ Power Herb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 80 HP / 176 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Meteor Beam
- Sludge Bomb
- Grass Knot
- Thunderbolt

Nihilego's Meteor Beam set has proven itself to be extremely threatening lately, utilising its unique typing and solid special bulk against common Electric- and Flying-types to get going and cause havoc, even outright sweeping unprepared teams lacking sustainable priority or a durable Steel.

How will you take out this monstrous Meteor Beam sweeper?
Deadline is March 17th 10pm GMT +8, Good luck.

Reserving Aegislash

:ss/aegislash:
Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute
- Toxic
- King's Shield

Its your boi Aegislash, can't really go wrong with it in most matches. As a Steel type that's not fake it prevents Nihi from throwing out Meteor Beam and if it does then any potential of sweeping weakened teams is over and even +1 Tbolt

+1 176 SpA Nihilego Meteor Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Aegislash-Both: 102-120 (31.4 - 37%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 176 SpA Nihilego Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Aegislash-Both: 102-121 (31.4 - 37.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Aegislash-Both Shadow Ball vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Nihilego: 120-142 (31.6 - 37.4%) -- 88.4% chance to 3HKO

the damage may seem low but considering the fact that Slash prevents MBeam from being used and the healing it will get via leftovers + king shield and the potential drops on sball making it easier to kill it or leave it unable to come in with rocks up means you will be able to handle it.
