With its ability to spam FuturePort like crazy thanks to all the opportunities it gets to come in and significant defensive utility always being appreciated. How will you defeat our latest Victim?

Zarude is a counter to Slowking. Zarude simply does not care about anything Slowking has to throw at it whatsoever (at least from the usual sets). From being immune to Future Sight, to healing off status from Scald and Thunder Wave with Jungle Healing while not taking any significant damage from the former. Zarude, however, must be careful of the rare offensive Trick Room set that carries Fire Blast. Although, Fire Blast does not KO unless the Slowking has used Nasty Plot first.

0 SpA Slowking Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Zarude: 45-53 (12.8 - 15%) -- possible 7HKO

252 Atk Zarude Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 56 Def Slowking: 416-492 (105.5 - 124.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Slowking Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Zarude: 228-270 (64.9 - 76.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Fun thing to use on stall. Use for it is you come in future sight, do whatever then let it switch out, and Protect to nullify the incoming damage and Future Sight.
Only a check since Pursuit exists and you have to check if a hippo or like ice cream is coming in.

Self explanatory mostly, it's got great defensive stats, resists future sight, doesn't particularly care about burns for the purpose of taking on slowking, super effective STAB ghost move, and slowking hates to take a toxic.
