Natu 1/2

[OVERVIEW]

Natu is LC's best dual screens setter, providing invaluable support to dangerous setup sweepers such as Scraggy and Tyrunt on dual screens offense. A phenomenal ability in Magic Bounce makes Natu immune to moves like Taunt and Spore from threats such as Mienfoo and Foongus, keeps foes from setting entry hazards, and prevents opposing Defoggers such as Vullaby from removing its dual screens. However, while 17 Speed allows Natu to outspeed much of the metagame, it also causes Natu to Speed tie with Pokemon such as Onix and Mienfoo, which can severely damage or OHKO it. Natu is also weak to Stealth Rock and has a poor matchup against common setters, which can leave it at a disadvantage in certain matchups. Finally, the nature of dual screens causes Natu to give foes multiple free turns, which can be exploited by certain Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Onix.

Moves
========
Reflect and Light Screen provide extra bulk, giving Natu's teammates an opportunity to set up. Thunder Wave provides useful Speed control and a 25% chance of generating a free turn, punishing Pokemon attempting to take advantage of the free turns given by setting dual screens. Teleport allows Natu to safely bring in another Pokemon, typically a setup sweeper such as Scraggy, without taking damage. Natu can also opt to run an attacking move over Teleport; Psychic is its strongest STAB attack, while Dazzling Gleam allows it to hit Dark-types such as Vullaby and Scraggy super effectively. However, these attacks are weak and lack utility when compared to Teleport.

Set Details
========

The given EV spread with a Timid nature maximizes Natu's Speed and optimizes its bulk, allowing it to hit 17 Speed, survive Mienfoo's Knock Off from full health, and prevent Download Porygon from receiving a Special Attack boost. Light Clay increases the duration of Reflect and Light Screen, giving setup sweepers extra turns to set up. Magic Bounce is a terrific ability, providing Natu with immunities to common status moves such as Taunt, Thunder Wave, and Spore. It also prevents opposing Defoggers from removing Natu's dual screens.

Usage Tips
========

Set up dual screens based on the opposing Pokemon. if facing a physical attacker, use Reflect first. If facing a special attacker, use Light Screen first instead. Natu has a much easier time setting up dual screens against an opposing Pokemon slower than it; paralysis support helps ensure this is the case. Use Teleport to safely bring in a setup sweeper to take advantage of screens. Because Teleport moves last, you can pick a setup sweeper with an advantageous matchup against the opposing Pokemon. However, using Teleport requires Natu to take a hit, which may prevent it from setting up dual screens later in the match. Finally, be careful not to let an opposing sweeper such as Nasty Plot Vullaby or Dragon Dance Onix set up on Natu.

Team Options
========

Setup sweepers like Scraggy, Swords Dance Grookey, Tyrunt, and Magby are Natu's best partners and form the basis of the dual screens offense archetype with it. All of these Pokemon appreciate the extra bulk provided by dual screens to set up and sweep teams. Teams featuring Natu typically run two or more setup sweepers. A Focus Sash lead such as Pawniard or Ferroseed, which can set Stealth Rock and paralyze foes, also makes a good teammate; the Speed control provided by paralysis makes it much easier for Natu to get screens up, while Stealth Rock helps sweepers using Natu's dual screens score more KOs.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Natu can run an offensive set making use of its good special movepool and access to moves such as Calm Mind and Sucker Punch, but it is outclassed by Abra and Galarian Ponyta, both of which are stronger and faster than Natu. Natu has access to other support options such as Tailwind and Defog, but it typically can't afford to use a moveslot for these.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Onix**: Onix Speed ties Natu, is immune to Thunder Wave, and can OHKO it with Rock Blast. Its Dragon Dance set can set up on Natu with impunity and OHKO it through Reflect with Head Smash.

**Setup Sweepers**: Certain setup sweepers such as Scraggy and Nasty Plot Vullaby can set up on and threaten Natu, but these can be crippled with Thunder Wave.

**Knock Off Users**: Knock Off does significant damage to Natu, even with Reflect active, and reduces the duration of future screens. With the exception of Mienfoo, which it speed ties, most common Knock Off users in LC are slower than Natu, which lets it use Reflect before being hit.

[OVERVIEW]

-Natu is LC's best user of Reflect and Light Screen and is the crux of the screens offense archetype. this is fine but pls don't use "crux" or gp is gonna riot. also explain how the defense boosts make it easier for sweepers to set up
-A phenomenal ability in Magic Bounce makes Natu immune to Taunt and Thunder Wave and also prevents opposing Defog users from removing its screens. you need examples here, whos potentially taunting/twaving/defogging natu? be specific
-Natu sits in the crowded 17 Speed tier, making it vulnerable to common Pokemon such as Onix and Mienfoo which speed tie it. mention the positives of 17 speed, you set up screens on a lot of slower stuff p comfortably
- The nature of dual screens causes Natu to give opponents multiple free turns, which can be exploited by certain Pokemon. which pokemon? how? i get what you mean but new readers might not
make a bullet on being weak to rocks, ideally you're bouncing them off but natu doesn't have a great matchup against rockers and if they do get them up its hella annoying
mention screens being its only niche and outclassed at other stuff

Moves
========

- Reflect and Light Screen double the Defense and Special Defense, respectively, of Natu's team for eight turns with Light Clay equipped, providing invaluable support. you don't need to explain this b/c you've already gone into detail in the overview. also its mostly just dex info
- Teleport allows Natu to safely bring in another Pokemon, typically a setup sweeper such as Scraggy, without taking damage and ensuring screens are still up. mention negative priority can be annoying if ur trying to preserve natu
- Thunder Wave provides useful Speed control and a 25% chance of generating a free turn, punishing Pokemon attempting to take advantage of the free turns given by setting screens.
-Psychic is Natu's strongest STAB attack and prevents it from being completely passive. Dazzling Gleam hits Dark-types. like what?

Set Details
========

- The given EV spread with a Timid nature maximizes Natu's Speed and physical bulk, allowing it to hit the useful 17 Speed tier and to survive Mienfoo's Knock Off. The leftover EVs give Natu an extra Special Attack point if it opts to run an attacking move.
- Light Clay increases the duration of Reflect and Light Screen from 5 to 8 turns, giving setup sweepers extra time to set up.
-Magic Bounce is a terrific ability, providing Natu with immunities to common status attacks such as Taunt, Thunder Wave, and Spore. It also prevents opposing Defog users from removing Natu's screens.

Usage Tips
========

- Set up screens based on the opposing Pokemon; if facing a physical attacker, use Reflect first. If facing a special attacker, use Light Screen first instead.

- Use Teleport to safely bring in a setup sweeper to take advantage of screens. Because Teleport moves last, you can pick a setup sweeper with an advantageous matchup against the opposing Pokemon. mention that u don't always want to teleport cause you need to preserve it to set screens later
- Be careful not to let an opposing sweeper such as Nasty Plot Vullaby set up on Natu, especially if not running Thunder Wave.
make a bullet of when to use magic bounce if u predict a defog/twave/whatever. v good if u predict correctly but risking natu isn't always worth

Team Options
========

-Setup sweepers like Scraggy, Swords Dance Grookey, Tyrunt, and Magby which appreciate the extra bulk provided by screens to set up are Natu's best partners and form the basis of the screens offense archetype with it. expand on these a bit more. the screens abusers are fine but only having 2 bullets is pretty barebones so just include more or go more in-depth on the ones u have
-A lead which can set Stealth Rock and paralyze the opponent makes it much easier for Natu to get screens up. Ferroseed is a good example; it can do both of these things and use Explosion to ensure Natu gets in safely. mention pawniard as an alternative here

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Natu can run an offensive set that can beat Ferroseed with Heat Wave, but it is outclassed by Abra, which is faster and stronger than Natu, in this role.
-Air Slash is a STAB attack that lacks an immunity, but it invites opposing Onix in and is noticeably weaker than Psychic.
-Natu has access to some other support options such as Tailwind and Defog, but it typically can't afford to use a moveslot for these.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Onix**: Onix speed ties Natu, is immune to Thunder Wave, and can OHKO it with Rock Blast.

**Knock Off users**: Knock Off does significant damage to Natural even with Reflect active and reduces the duration of future screens. With the exception of Mienfoo, which it speed ties, most common Knock Off users in LC are slower than Natu, which lets it use Reflect before being hit.

you mention it can be taken advantage by some pokemon in the overview cause its pretty passive. might wanna include those here too

-A phenomenal ability in Magic Bounce makes Natu immune to status moves like Taunt and Thunder Wave from threats such as Onix and Ferroseed, keeps opponents from setting hazards, and prevents opposing Defog users such as Vullaby from removing its screens. (I'm not sure these are the best examples tbh. Why would Onix even try to taunt you when it can just KO you? Taunt Mienfoo makes more sense and Spore from Foongus instead of Twave Ferro, since it would just Knock you anyways.)
-Natu reaches 17 Speed, allowing it to outspeed much of the metagame and get screens up.
-While 17 Speed is good, it causes Natu to speed tie with Pokemon such as Onix and Mienfoo which threaten it.
-Natu is weak to Stealth Rock and has a poor matchup against the move's most common users, which can leave it at a disadvantage in common lead matchups. (Most people don't lead with Natu or SR setters, so cut that part out.)
- The nature of dual screens causes Natu to give opponents multiple free turns, which can be exploited by certain Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Onix.
-While Natu is good at setting screens, it is outclassed by Pokemon such as Abra outside of this small niche. (I dont think this comparison is relevant.)

Moves

- Add a short description of Reflect and Light Screen (something along the lines of "Reflect and Light Screen enables its teammates to set up.)
- Teleport allows Natu to safely bring in another Pokemon, typically a setup sweeper such as Scraggy, without taking damage and ensuring screens are still up. Because Teleport always moves last, Natu will almost always take a hit when using the move, potentially making it tough for it to set screens later in the match.
- Thunder Wave provides useful Speed control and a 25% chance of generating a free turn, punishing Pokemon attempting to take advantage of the free turns given by setting screens. (Switch orders with Teleport)
-Psychic is Natu's strongest STAB attack and prevents it from being completely passive. Dazzling Gleam is another option for the final moveslot, allowing Natu to hit Dark-types such as Scraggy super effectively.
- I think dropping Twave is very bad. Most of the targets for Psychic and Dazzling Gleam are for targets that you can't Twave, so it makes more sense to drop Teleport. I also think that Psychic and DGleam should be move mentions and not full slashes.
