  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

SV Ubers: Bobsican vs emoxu9 / emoxu appears to be a dominant force in the ubers realm with a ndubers open win as long with a 5-2 UPL although bob is no slouch with meta knowledge, ladder peaks, and a solid outing in the ndubers adjacent TPP format so far. Slightly favor emoxu

SV OU: Lameflame vs Suzuya / suzuya results dating back to last ndpl have been pretty dominant, and i dont think that will stop here since hes a rly good pilot and has refreshing meta takes on structures whether its him/ryuji suggesting it. LF's recent 5-2 NDWC suggests he is still able to hang and I think can win here in builder though if he can really catch whats coming and use suzuya's massive scout from invitational to his advantage

SV OU: Oculars vs avarice / mainer vs pilot saga continues...Despite the insane degree of mu fishing, it works out for oculars so ill ride the wave here

SV OU: Skyiew vs Ryuji / close one, both r good ingame id say to about equal amounts but i favor ryuji builds over whatever smashers cook

SV UU: awyp vs Micciu / trust phoenix uu builds more, cant rly comment much as players

SV RU: Thiago Nunes vs Dlanyer / THE MVP...with teams from The Big Chungus IRL i think nunes plays better here and shld take it

SV OU: Separation vs zioziotrip / this shit is a blockbuster must-see tv type match, incredibly close and both sides have solid SV support although I believe both prefer to build their own? Zio's HOs could be easily punished by sepa who is a major ladder frequenter and id assume knows the meta inside out despite not much play in actual natdex officials. Ill slightly lean zio because ive seen more from him at this level with last NDPL and this NDWC, and i think sep is more prone to bringing something jank

SV OU: Nashrock vs hidin / nice lil mainer mu. Hidin recently defeated nash on the ol mobile device in ssnl as well and i think has a better prep mind, so i favor him a bit

SV UU: Elfuseon vs dunoks / D1 Dunoks glazer reporting for duty- he wins these.

SV RU: Leni vs jawabarat / if this was UU id say jawa but ndru seems like one of those what the fuck tiers leni would go hard in. He does have seth support tho which is rly unfortunate, prayers up

SV DOU: Akaru Kokuyo vs Voltix / Im not a doubles genius but uhhhhh uhhhh akaru is really good uhhhh and voltix is also good so probably a GOOD matchup. Akaru Nakamura wins, I guess?

SV OU: Mimikyu Stardust vs omarsgarciav / love omar but for someone who will go undrafted...idk. Heat mu as long as mmq doesnt rain for the billionth time, could go hard either but gut tells me omar might overcommit on rain in prep and lose to smth more standard possibly

SV OU: LBN vs ARTYMASION / Dont think a single mon in this game will be above B on VR

SV UU: Seasons vs Runo / no one i trust more in a clefable meta

SV RU: sasha vs Velcroc / im not sure if velc's ingame is on starter level quite yet ngl but he does have better meta knowledge and experience

SS OU: Isza vs TPP / TPP is good but isza went for 40 Point 5 Thousand Dollars and will probably win these due to money buff despite being in debt from invitational

SS OU: Tenebricite vs Boomenheimer / mind tells me tene with isza support farms...but my heart tells me BOOMENHEIMER till I die
 
SV Ubers: skimmythegod vs entrocefalo (60-40) I only know skimmy as a name, but they have quite the reputation. I remember watching them demolish UPL (Entro did as well) while SMPL has been a mixed bag. I'm a lot more familiar with Entro and root for him in just about any tournament he enters. Entro is slightly favoured here as NDUbers is a builder friendlly tier and even if Entro doesn't build much the familiarity with the tier tips the scales. NDUbers is kind of like USM Ubers + DLC, but I'm not sure whether skimmy has any experience in the tier nor am I sure if skimmy's support does, though there are a lot of good players. NDUbers isn't a hard tier to learn, but I wouldn't be shocked if Skimmy has to deal with a learning curve for a couple of weeks.

SV Ubers: Bobsican vs emoxu9 (49-51) This is the only pairing where I'm reasonably familiar with both players. Emoxu9 is a great player that has had some very good recent results. Bob didn't enter the open, but nonetheless is a great player / builder. I'm interested to see what type of teams Bob decides to load as he has been running more or less the same core, if not team for a while now and how both players factor that in.

This game will likely be decided in the builder as I don't think either players are likely to make many if any mistakes in game. I'd give Emoxu9 a slight edge in game and Bob an advantage in the builder. I helped Emoxu9 a bit for Grand Slam playoffs and have seen their teams from the Open. A recurring theme is that while the 6 may be solid, there are often some EVs spreads or move choices that indicate emoxu9 is still getting used to certain parts of the metagame and may rely on their support to help point some things out. Emoxus in-game advantage cancels out Bob's builder advantage.

SV Ubers: Mashing vs Fogbound Lake I only know both of these players from replays. I'm frankly not sure how many players on either team have recent experience in the tier. I'm not sure that playing NDUbers in NDPL last year helps all that much given how different the metagame was due to the presence of Koraidon and Xerneas. Go with what someone else says. I'd flip a coin, but given how much Kate hates NDUbers (and is wrong), I'll root for Mashing.

SV Ubers: shieldpoke vs Eledyr - Adem said shieldpoke is a very good player. That may well be true, but they don't have cute wooloo pics and gifs. Also they're weighed down by Adem and her false claims about discovering [redacted]. More seriously, I don't know shieldpoke and have never seen a game of theirs. Obviously I'm going to support Eledyr and probably would even if he wasn't my teammate.

skimmythegod vs entrocefalo- this is a 50/50 imo but the degree of entros luck will be the decider of this mu. both extremely good but unfortunately skill will not be the reason either of them win

bobsican vs emoxu9- many things will play into this mu. i think xu9 is the better player, but bob def knows this tier inside out. i think if both brings standard its a coinflip but i have a good feeling were gonna see something unconventional/jank, which might turn the tides.

mashing vs fogbound lake- mashing is my goat and they get freelo win

shieldpoke vs eledyr - only seen shieldpoke replays in mono so unsure ab ubers ability, ill take my chances on the wooloo user.

these arent predictions and more like prophecy. if you want your players to win dm me with your compensation methods.

SV DOU: eragon vs bagel - same as ubers, better player but still could go either way
SV Monotype: Splash vs style.css - this match is not getting played lmao
SS OU: Luthier vs Fc - already happened, woulda bolded luth tho just cause of how much hype he's been getting
SS OU: kDCA vs Stareal - better player

These teams are my #1 and #2 slots in my personal pr so it's no surprise that all of these matches feel super close. Crazy series to start the tour with, whoever wins here may end up riding first seed till the end.

SV UU: awyp vs Micciu - seen more outta micciu in uu but I have really liked how awyp has been playing recently
SV RU: Thiago Nunes vs Dlanyer - I'm not sure nunes has the best support possible here but he's still the better player
SV DOU: xqiht vs Enzonana. - better player but nana might pull this off with better support
SV Monotype: Big Chungus irl vs crash - do not know the other guy
SS OU: Unowndragon vs ChrisPBacon - better player
SS OU: chansey and lulu vs devin - devin struggles sometimes vs people he doesn't know

Much less close imo, a lotta the mus where I have smashers winning could swing toward phoenix but idt the same goes the other way around. Smashers are last on my pr but I've been really wrong about teams before so maybe they'll prove me wrong again.

I have both of these teams on the lower end of my pr but starmies have more potential, tbh the fact that they rounded out their draft decently well after blowing their load so early is kinda impressive. Again interested to see if unmons make me eat my words.

Don't usually do predicts but thought I'd start for this PL, at least for the SS slots :pimp:

Luthier vs Fc - Luthier by predict after game already took place
kDCA vs Stareal - Stareal is no slouch but I'm confident kDCA's prep will help him bag a win this week

Unowndragon vs ChrisPBacon - hard not to pick Chris here but I expect a competitive game between these two
chansey and lulu vs devwin - is it alright if i just add a w to his name? Great matchup though and I think it could go either way but I'm leaning more towards devin.

yonmd vs Kate - yonmd is a solid player and maybe with Batzi/Gewwge support he could pull it off but [insert Kate glazing here]
Irene vs Tempo di anguria - not familiar with Irene's game but TDA was getting bolded regardless of who they played

ubers dicts

SV Ubers: skimmythegod vs entrocefalo close match but ultimately i think entro is the overall better player + significantly more experience in the tier, but wouldnt be surprised at at an upset by The God, closer than some people might think. 40/60 entro.

SV Ubers: Mashing vs Fogbound Lake gonna be a fun watch, both of them are established ubers players with lengthy ubers experience. However, both are relatively new to the tier, and i think its going to be down to the prep. Fog loads some nasty shit and somehow gets away with it, and i know him much better than mashing, so rooting for him, but could go either way. 49/51 fog.

SV Ubers: Bobsican vs emoxu9 emu has been dominating ubers as of late, doing well in slam and open, winning both tours convincingly. they also have a lot more ubers experience and overall tour experience. bob on the other hand, while he does have a good hold on the tier build wise, is still severely lacking in tour experience for the tier, at least compared to emu. 20/80 emu.
 
SV OU: Lily vs Mada mada is a very experienced player, think if the mu is winnable I favor mada. I don’t know lily too well so :/

SV OU: sealoo vs Kayzn fighting for the top of the food chain, should be interesting. I think sealoo is a great builder but he stinks + carried in trios

SV OU: Lameflame vs Suzuya I’m pulling for LF but I think Suzuya is a top 3 sv player rn. Wouldn’t be surprised if either won

Gengars forgot the UU mainer to help build so curious to see what kind of comps Saurav loads after a year away from the meta. Rache also hasn't touched this tier since last PL but Sealoo and Rafadude have so I expect them to load something well-rounded/good and click their way to victory.

SV RU: Micaiah vs feen
Idk I don't think Rafadude + Sealoo?? support is gonna be as valuable as they think without any previous tier experience from Micaiah despite probably being a better clicker? Feen + Adriyun support sounds really scary I can't lie.

The meta that awyp was used to in NDFL changed significantly so it's going to be interesting to see how they adapt but he is probably clicking better than Micciu anyways. Lupla support will go a long way here to get him acclimated fast. Good luck to Ryuji for having to build for multiple lower tiers probably.

Idk I think its kinda wasted potential to put your highest priced player in NatDex RU when they blatantly stated that they need teams, nitpicking aside Lupla and Big Chungus are nice supports for the slots though so just don't screw anything up in prep and Tnunes prob wins. Dlanyer and Gorex...main RU metagames! Just wish it could've been this one #stop the NDphobia

Sidenote but can Pheonix load 8 more great mus vs the shell smashers again? I just think that would be really funny.

The only UU support on the Absols looks like Seth. Victinis have TBIC, Danbear, Hidin, Jawa probably around to produce quality builds for dunoks. I would've probably bolded Dunoks anyways cuz I think they play in-game better but without that extra support for Elfus this doesn't seem like a good slot for the Absols (sack slot vibes).

SV RU: Leni vs jawabarat
Seth needs to be like Ryuji and build for every lower tier, but this is a meta he's very familiar with more than I wanna say all of the guys on the Victinis. That + Leni as the pilot probably secures this.
