Necturna is an excellent spinblocker on hyper offense teams, as it can take advantage of the common Rapid Spin Equilibra and Excadrill and set up against them. It also has easy setup opportunities against Seismitoad, Hippowdon, and non-Brave Bird Corviknight. Additionally, it can be awkward to revenge kill because it can survive Choice Band Syclant's Ice Shard and is immune to Conkeldurr's Mach Punch. However, it is rather difficult to set up when the opposing team has a Tomohawk or Choice Scarf Hydreigon. Power Whip is used over Horn Leech, as it can actually 2HKO physically defensive Toxapex and OHKOes Clefable and Equilibra. Stone edge is crucial not only for OHKOing Mandibuzz and chipped Hydreigon at +2, the only two Pokemon that resist its stabs, but also for healthy Rotom-H, Kyurem, and Mollux, which could tank a +2 Shadow Claw. 8 HP EVs allows Necturna to survive Choice Band Aegislash's Shadow Sneak if Necturna has taken no prior damage, while the rest of the EV spread and nature maximize its offensive capabilities.

Bisharp is required for these kinds of hyper offense teams, as it deters opposing teams' Defog users. It can also soft check Choice Scarf Hydreigon, Necturna's most reliable revenge killer. Mew can reliably set Stealth Rock and multiple layers of Spikes, while lead Excadrill can get Stealth Rock up and provide Rapid Spin support. From there, Necturna's best teammates are strong setup sweepers. Sweepers like Necrozma, Aegislash, and Zeraora pair well with Necturna because they pressure Tomohawk, one of Necturna's hardest stops. Terrakion and Hawlucha can take advantage of Dark-types that can revenge kill Necturna like Choice Scarf Hydreigon, Sucker Punch Bisharp and Sucker Punch Colossoil. Other strong sweepers like Dragapult, Cawmodore, and Naviathan can be used on these kinds of teams as well.

Necturna is an excellent spinblocker on hyper offense teams, as it can take advantage of the common Rapid Spin Equilibra and set up against it. You might as well explicitly mention Excadrill here too. Even though Iron Head does 2HKO, if you switch in on Rapid Spin, you typically do get a good opportunity to use Shell Smash. It also has easy setup opportunities against Seismitoad, Excadrill, Hippowdon, and non-Brave Bird Corviknight. Additionally, it's quite hard to revenge kill because it survives Choice Band Syclant's Ice Shard and is immune to Conkeldurr's Mach Punch. Power Whip is used over Horn Leech, as it can actually 2HKO physically defensive Toxapex and overall makes Necturna less vulnerable to chip damage by OHKOing Clefable and Equilibra.

The general tone here is definitely a little too positive. Necturna typically struggles to find opportunities to set up. Beyond that, it really does tend to fall flat against teams with Tomohawk or Choice Scarf Hydreigon.

Dragon Dance Dragapult or Swords Dance Aegislash provide additional spinblocking pressure against other Rapid Spin users like Mollux and Tomohawk. Rapid Spin Mollux hasn't been relevant in a minute. Other sweepers like Swords Dance Terrakion, Cawmodore, Necrozma, Naviathan, and Cloyster appreciate Necturna's spinblocking. Cloyster's a mediocre sweeper and I really don't think it mandates inclusion.

There should definitely be some explicit mention of Pokemon that can take advantage of Tomohawk here, as it's the single hardest thing for Necturna to deal with. Pokemon like Necrozma, Aegislash, and perhaps Zeraora too could be mentioned. I would also like to see an explicit mention of Dark-resistant Pokemon like Terrakion and Hawlucha, the extra layer against Choice Scarf Hydreigon and Sucker Punch users like Bisharp and Colossoil is really useful.
