NU Swiss Tournament​
Rules:
  • Standard SS NU
  • Double Elimination
  • All rounds will be best of three, you may switch teams in between games
  • Any changes to the tier that occur in the middle of a round will not apply until the next round
  • You are expected to know and follow all general tournament rules
  • VMs are only thing that matters for activity. Use this guide to ensure you don't lose via activity or coinflip.
  • Replays are NOT required until the later rounds.

This is a Type A tournament for the official NU circuit.

This will be a Swiss format tournament in the standard Sword and Shield NU metagame. A Swiss tournament is a two-part tournament where everyone starts in a sort of round-robin. After Round 1, instead of being eliminated or advancing to a higher part of a bracket, you are paired with someone that has the same record as you. After a few rounds (depending on number of signups) the players with the best records will advance to a playoff bracket. Therefore, you will play every week until playoffs are established.

shiloh and myself decided to end the signups early and start R1 now. We were aiming for 128 ppl, but that was starting to look more and more unlikely. The first 96 ppl to signup, you're in the bracket above. For the other 5 ppl that also signed up, don't fret. You are subs for this round and will be assigned per the usual method. Keep an eye on this thread for your chance.
