New OU Team, please help

I've been rethinking my team lately, and I need some help with a few things.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Relaxed/Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/128 Def/128 Atk/4 Spe
IVs: 0 Spe
-Gyro Ball
-Hypnosis
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake

My starter. His Gyro Ball does incredible amounts of damage to all kinds of pokemon. Anything that wouldn't take much damage from Gyro Ball would probably be hurt by Earthquake. Anything that Gyro Ball or Earthquake doesn't work on or that I think would be threat to the rest of my team, I can put to sleep with Hypnosis, but use Stealth Rock next turn. The reason I give it 4 EV points in speed is because if I go up against another Bronzong, my Bronzong will be faster. And the reason I invest in DEF instead of Sp. Def is because I already have a Special Wall, so I need a Physical Wall, which is what Bronzong can be.

Electivire @ Expert Belt
Jolly/Motor Drive
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
-Cross Chop
-Earthquake
-Thunder Punch
-Ice Punch

My Physical Sweeper. With his four moves covering 13 of the 17 pokemon types, it's hard to bring in something against it without it taking a great deal of damage. I'm not 100% sure about Electivire, mainly because of his defenses. Got any better ideas?

Dugtrio @ Life Orb
Jolly/Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spe/6 HP
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Aerial Ace
-Sucker Punch

My ace in the hole. If I time it right, he might take out at least two pokemon without hardly even trying. His Earthquake will kill anything that doesn't resist it. Anything that does resist it, I'll use either Rock Slide or Aerial Ace. And if something happens to be faster than it or I think they'll survive my attack and then they'll try to kill me, I'll use Sucker Punch and get in the first hit.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Calm/Natural Cure
EVs: 254 Def/80 SpA/176 SpD
-Toxic
-Softboiled
-Seismic Toss
-Protect

My Special Wall. No special attacks are getting through this thing. Then I just poison the pokemon with toxic, and then keep using softboiled and protect in order. And if it's a poison or steel type that I'm up against, then I'll use Seismic Toss every other turn then. It's a great switch in, and goes really well with many of my other pokemon.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid/Natural Cure
EVs: 160 HP/132 SpA/216 Spe
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Recover

My Special Sweeper. Fast, its attacks cover a good amount of types, and has good recovery. It works great with Blissey. Those two just go hand-in-hand for me, and it's hard for something to get through it.

Gengar @ Life Orb
Hasty/Levitate
EVs: 136 Atk/252 Spe/132 SpA
-Explosion
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Thunderbolt

I'm not really sure about this last pick. So I could really use help with this last pokemon right here. Should I stick with what I've got here (please give me a good reason why I should stick with Gengar, if so)? Or go with something else? And if so, what pokemon?

Thanks in advance for you help. I can really use it.

Just by looking at the EV spread and nature of your bronzong I can tell you are going to need help already, in order to get the maximum potential of gyro ball you must make it sassy nature with 0 Speed IVs, this ensures your gyro ball does more damage. and if you really want to outspeed other zongs just change the IV to like 3 or something. >__>

Why don't you switch in a Choice Band Dugtrio? It will provide you with more power and with a counter to the common TrickScarfer Leads, such as Metagross (that you can annihilate with EQ and the only thing he can do is Trick you back, that's useless) and Gengar (that you can force to switch out, he has levitate but when you get in he can only Trick you back if he don't switch out). Anyway that locks you in just one move and it can be limitative, but i don't think you need to chose the attack because the foe is trapped and you can chose the right attack without fear (saving flying types, that would probably switch out). It depends on how scared you are by the new Trickers.

Blissey:
Ice Beam > Protect, Aromaterapy > Toxic. ;D
Gengar:
EVs: 64 Atk/174 SAtk/252 Spd, Timid, Focus Sash. 8D
Starmie:
Rapid Spin > Recover. :)

Standard, but put 2 IV to outspeed other bronzong and hypnosis < Explosion (60% accuracy)

Maybe a thunderbolt over thunderpunch to hit those bulky water and skarm harder and make it lonely.

CB > LO

Thunder wave > Toxic and Ice beam > Protect... U r set is completly walled by gengar.

If its a sweeper use LO or expert belt but i see that u dont have a rapid spinner so why not rapid spin in place of ice beam...

Nice set but dont invest so much attack just for explosion...

Thanks in advance for you help. I can really use it.

This is a solid team but i see a big agility life orb metagross. The only one that can stop him is bronzong but he wont last for late game... He can come in on any of ur pokes agility and sweep easily... Meteor mash scores OHKO on gengar, blissey and dugtrio. As does earthquake on electivire and EQ is a 3HKO (i think) on starmie but gross is bulky and \can take lots of hits from strmie since he has weak attacks and leftovers...
Hope I helped! B-)

Just a little tip: Seeing as 1 IV = 4 EVs, you can take away those 4 EVs in Speed on Bronzong and use a 1 IV in Speed for the same result. It also allows you to put those 4 (now spare) EVs into another stat.

I would definitely consider Heracross over Electivire. It means you can take on Cresselia easier, without getting Thunder Waved / Psychic'd as you go to Gengar. Choice Band Heracross hurts, a lot, especially if it picks up a Guts boost.

Also, Gyarados causes big, big problems for this team. I suggest using Vaporeon over Dugtrio, to help counter Gyarados (Use Hidden Power Electric), which will stop it from sweeping your team.

Also, with Toxic and Protect, Wish is (generally) superior to Softboiled, due to it working generally well with Protect, as well as providing good team support. It provides good "synergy" with Gengar, using Wish, going to Gengar to avoid the Fighting attack, then gaining the HP Gengar lost through Life Orb.

Maybe try this set out on your Gengar:

Gengar@Focus Sash
Timid Nature: 252 Speed/252 Special Attack/4 HP
IV Notes: Defense and Special Defense = 0
Counter
Destiny Bond
Shadow Ball
Explosion

I battled someone with this set on Pokemon Battle Revolution, and it took down my Blastoise and Charizard (back when I used them, that is.) The reason for the IVs and use of Counter is to get your HP down to 1, so you can have Gengar sacrifice itself with either Explosion or Destiny Bond. I know it's redundant, so if you were to get rid of either Explosion or Destiny Bond, I'd say have Focus Blast or HP Fighting in it's place (which you already have listed.)

Then again, that's just me - It's entirely up to you. Hope you find this helpful. ^^

It already has O IVs in speed. Sassy would increase it's Special Defense, and I don't want that. I want to increase it's Defense, while decreasing speed. And that's what Relaxed nature does. But I think I will change those 4 EVs on speed to 1 speed IV.

Because then I'm stuck using one move over and over again. If I use Earthquake, and then they bring in something that's immune to ground attacks after I've killed something, I'm screwed. I'd much rather have the ability to use whatever move I want and have pretty good power over a really powerful attack, but only having one move that could be avoided.

Blissey:
Ice Beam > Protect, Aromaterapy > Toxic. ;D

Toxic, Softboiled and Protect works extremely well for my Blissey. It's hard for anything to break it, especially Special attackers.

Gengar:
EVs: 64 Atk/174 SAtk/252 Spd, Timid, Focus Sash. 8D

Should I go with Gengar? Because I have absolutely no idea what to add for a sixth pokemon. I just added Gengar in there so I could put my team thus far up and get some suggestions as to a sixth pokemon. I could really use some help with it.

Starmie:
Rapid Spin > Recover. :)

That kind of hinders it's recovery ability then.

Standard, but put 2 IV to outspeed other bronzong and hypnosis < Explosion (60% accuracy)

I'm good with 1 IV.

It's actually 70% accuracy. And it usually works for me. If it doesn't, his defenses are good to take at least one more hit and allows me to get off one more hypnosis.

Maybe a thunderbolt over thunderpunch to hit those bulky water and skarm harder and make it lonely

Possibly.

*shrugs*

X1.5 and only one move vs. X1.3 and all four moves.

Tough choice, but I lean towards LO.

Thunder wave > Toxic and Ice beam > Protect... U r set is completly walled by gengar.

I'd be willing to change Seismic Toss to Ice Beam.

If its a sweeper use LO or expert belt but i see that u dont have a rapid spinner so why not rapid spin in place of ice beam...

Because then I don't have a special Ice move.

Besides, is a rapid spinner even necessary?

This is a solid team but i see a big agility life orb metagross. The only one that can stop him is bronzong but he wont last for late game... Well then what should I add as a sixth pokemon to counter such a threat, instead of Gengar?

Also, Gyarados causes big, big problems for this team. I suggest using Vaporeon over Dugtrio, to help counter Gyarados (Use Hidden Power Electric), which will stop it from sweeping your team.

My Gyarados counter is Starmie. Thunderbolt ought to kill it in one hit, and it's quite faster.

Well like I said, I don't know if I really want Gengar on my team. Should I keep him or add a new pokemon that would be better suited for my team?

And I don't have Wish because I spend a lot of my battles on Shoddy Battle. And they took away Wish from Blissey's moves.

Well like I said, I have no idea with I want Gengar. I just added him so I could put my team thus far up here and have people suggest a sixth pokemon.

Thanks for the advice everyone. It's great received. Please keep it coming.

I'm pretty sure that u should get rid of gengar to make place for forry he can spin away spikes toxic spikes and SR. And he stes up spikes that will help ur team to sweep. Plus bliss + forry is an excelent combo, and its only counter (infernape) is countered by ur starmie.
Hope I helped! B-)

That could work very well. However, if I do that, I'll have to get rid of Bronzong, because they both have a fire weakness and both function as a physical wall. However, I could think of a better starter. Thanks.
