And we're back! With my vote, dingbat takes week 10! Congrats, your set will be added to the hall of fame.

On a second note, A Cake Wearing A Hat will be helping me run the project so we can continue to put out more weeks with consistency, welcome!

For week 11, we'll be looking at a UU mainstay for the past two generations, Mega Aerodactyl!

With its lightning fast speed tier and wide options for coverage and utility moves alike, it's sure to have great potential. I made Pursuit Maero for an old gen 6 Next Best Thing almost four years ago, so it holds a special place in my heart there.

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Hone Claws
- Taunt / Aqua Tail
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Honestly this set should be blacklisted but it isn't so here we go. Hone Claws was something that saw a lot more popularity in Generation 6 but has been on the decline in USUM. However, Mega-Aerodactyl uses its fantastic speed tier to force switches and create set-up opportunities. Aqua Tail is used to hit Hippowdon harder while still OHKO'ing variants of Gliscor at +1. Stone Edge+ Earthquake is almost mandatory coverage as it allows Mega-Aero to hit most of the tier at least neutrally. However if you want to put a little twist on this set you could use Taunt over Aqua Tail, which would allow Aerodactyl to set up freely on most variants of Hippowdon and Gliscor, and stop stuff like Swampert or Aggron from setting up Stealth Rocks on the expected switch. This set is mainly used to clean teams after removing common checks such as Scizor and Mega-Aggron.

Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 96 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Stone Edge / Aerial Ace
- Earthquake / Toxic

This was a set back in Gen 6, but you don't see it so much now. Designed as a stall breaker, it's job is to muscle through weak walls. Taunt shuts down defensive walls, while Roost keeps Aero healthy. Stone Edge is a strong STAB, but if you don't like the accuracy you can run Aerial Ace instead. Earthquake has great coverage with either STAB, or you could run Toxic to cripple stuff like Hippowdon. The EVs give you enough Speed to outrun Crobat, with max HP and the rest in Defence for more bulk.

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sleep Talk
- Roar
- Whirlwind
- Rest

The general consensus on M-Aero is that it is a bit one-dimensional. It does what people expect it to do. However, this set leverages the fact that M-Aero is the only Pokemon with access to Roar and Whirlwind, in combination with respectable speed.

This set works best with a heavy Hazard-Stacking lineup and preferably a Hippowdon for the 1.5x SpD multiplier. Roar and Whirlwind both have a priority of -6, but Sleep Talk has neutral priority. Once M-Aero is asleep (through Rest / Spore), you use Sleep Talk to activate Roar/Whirlwind and phase through the enemy team before they can touch you, racking up Hazard damage. After your sleep turns have expired, rest and heal up, then resume Sleep-Talking.

Major inhibitors of Maero are Alo Swampert Seis and Hippo. All these Pokemon don't appreciate Toxic. Maero forces out many threats making Sub a terrifying move to face. It can throw out toxics from behind the Sub and tear through opposing cores. Over all a semi viable and fun set to play. Enjoy!

Bulky Reflect Support Mega Aerodactyl

Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Reflect
- Rock Tomb
- Rest
- Toxic

Here we have a defensive variant of the classical Mega Aerodactyl.
Reflect support is really valuable, even taking in account the EVs spread that is defensively oriented and allows us to use Rest with a little more ease.
Toxic is here to put a timer on most pokemons (checks included) whereas Rock Tomb is STABbed and supports the team really well with the Spe drop.

248 HP is here to stomach another layer of Stealth Rock; 252 EVs on Def + an Impish nature is here to increase the physical side of the spectrum.

For week 12, we've got a bit of a surprise!

That's right folks, it's a Slowbro double header! With both forms being viable (moreso the Mega), we've decided to open up the slate for both of them. Sets are due Friday Night EST! Please only post a set for one or the other, not both.

Slowbro @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Hydro Pump Scald/Surf
- Psychic
- Ice Beam

Well let's go with the good ol' OTR Slowbro. Slowbro can come in on a a fair amount of mons in the tier and scare them out (Tenta, Infernape, Cobalion, non-SD Gliscors, etc). This set takes advantage of the switches it forces to set up a Trick Room and then smack something. Regenerator is a great way to heal off some of the Life Orb damage as well as any chip you take while hard switching in. The third attack on this set is flexible depending on what you need to hit. Want something more reliable than Hydro for Sciz? Run Flamethrower. Want to have a chance against Blissey? Psyshock does 40% minimum. Really hate Jellicent? Shadow Ball is an option. And of course Focus Blast can be used to hit Empoleon. Because of the two popular Dragons in the tier that resist/are immune to your STABs (Lati and Hydreigon), I'd run Ice Beam. But the point is that this set can be made to do some serious damage to a lot of the tier.
