NFL WPC '11 WINNER: Mercy

I believe I went 8-6 last week? Not a bad way to rebound from the 2-Alot performance of the horrendous week.

Green Bay @ Detroit Look back at the games from last year. There is a strong possiblity the Pack gets swept.
Miami @ Dallas Only easy one.
San Francisco @ Baltimore Home team, but the 49ers would win in San Fran.

Buffalo < NY Jets (Sorry Buffalo, DM, all the fans, and all the injured players... Seriously, what's going on during those games?)
I'm pretty sure they are using snipers in the stadium to pick off our players one by one.

Definitely not the Bills this week. Away, at a team they match up HORRIBLY against.

The good news is the Bills are garunteed to have improved from last year's 4-12 record.

Green Bay @ Detroit (***Thursday***) (Earlier in the season I might have been tempted to take the upset here but Detroit hasn't been consistent enough as of late to be worth the risk)
Miami @ Dallas (***Thursday***) (As much as I'd like to see Miami win Dallas is the better team and finally has things figured out, or at least it seems so)
San Francisco @ Baltimore (***Thursday***) (49ers just keep rolling along)
Houston @ Jacksonville (They couldn't beat the Browns, how will they deal with the Texans?)
Buffalo @ NY Jets (Buffalo has lost whatever made them so good early on)
Cleveland @ Cincinnati (Great opportunity for a bounce-back game after two tough weeks against the best teams in the division)
Minnesota @ Atlanta (Let the passes fly!)
Arizona @ St. Louis (Hopefully being at home will help the Rams)
Carolina @ Indianapolis (The Panthers are playing one of the few teams that can't stop their offense AND can't threaten their defense. Surely they can win.)
Tampa Bay @ Tennessee (Toss-up here, potential injury to Hasselbeck gives it to TB for the time being)
Chicago @ Oakland (The loss of Cutler won't hurt the Bears too much, but I think it'll tilt this match in Oakland's favor)
Washington @ Seattle (Both teams suck but Seattle's at home)
Denver @ San Diego (Fuck it, Tebowmania! Also Rivers throws 7 picks and fumbles.)
New England @ Philadelphia (No 6-0 finish for you Philly)
Pittsburgh @ Kansas City (Poor, poor KC)
NY Giants @ New Orleans (As much as I hate to predict against the Giants they're coming off a bad game in Philly and playing against the Saints coming off a bye. Not a recipe for success.)

Just getting Thursday out of the way for now:

Green Bay > Detroit - I really hate making this one, as Lions at home have the best chance to stop the Packers from going undefeated. That being said, the Lions are still too reliant on Megatron to carry them, and without much of a running game, if you can contain Megatron to an extent, they should lose. Unless Suh finds a way to "remove" Rodgers from the equation, so to speak...

San Francisco > Baltimore - Tough one especially since the Niners are playing away, but they've been decent so far in away games. Raven's inconsistency in scoring (expecting another 50+ passes from Flacco never hurts either since there's no way the Ravens will be able to run the ball effectively with Ray Rice against the Niners) is worse than the Niners ability to score quite frankly, so unless the Niners defense really lets up...

Dallas > Miami - Fuck Dallas, but they're still a better team than Miami, who are now taking themselves out of the Luck race apparently; maybe they're gonna roll on another QB prospect instead

i might edit some of the non thursday matches but i wont cheat i SWEAR
You can swear in caps all you want, but if you want to edit your thursday picks after the thursday games start, make a new post!

The Rules said:
5. This should be obvious, but no editing your post at all after the games for that week begin. If you feel the need to make your picks at different times (ie wait until monday to pick monday's games) that's fine, but make a new post! This applies to changing picks as well; if games have already taken place that week and you want to make changes, make another post with the changes!
This is why I highly recommended making your thursday picks in a separate post!

Standings updated, I'll keep it brief:

Upset picks this week were the Denver Tebows, the Seahawks, the Browns, the Dolphins, and the Eagles. A few people picked the Hawks/Browns/Fins, but only Stylish Interval picked the Eagles and only ShakeItUp and BrazilianGuy got Denver correct.

Lots of people went 10-4 this week, but only Steeler and Steamroll went 11-3. That means Steeler expanded his lead to three wins over second place kd24 and Yondie.
