PU Leader
[OVERVIEW]

On account of its incredibly high Speed, which is only further supplemented by Speed Boost, Ninjask is the fastest Pokemon in PU. This, alongside its access to U-turn, lets Ninjask serve as both a capable revenge killer and an effective offensive pivot. Swords Dance adds to the list of roles that Ninjask can fulfill, turning it into a sweeper that can be annoying to play around thanks to Speed Boost. However, despite having fairly powerful STAB moves, Ninjask is not particularly strong before setting up due to its mediocre Attack. Ninjask's bad bulk and weakness-laden typing tend to limit its setup opportunities to forced switches, and it is vulnerable to priority users like Sneasel and Lycanroc. Finally, Ninjask faces tight competition from Scyther, which, while slower, is stronger and usually sets up with greater ease due to its better bulk.

move 4: Dual Wingbeat / Acrobatics
item: Heavy-Duty Boots / No Item
ability: Speed Boost
nature: Adamant
evs: 152 HP / 252 Atk / 104 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Protect lets Ninjask scout for potential coverage moves or Choice Scarf users and gives it a free Speed boost. Dual Wingbeat lets Ninjask run Heavy-Duty Boots, thus making pivoting easier and safer. It's worth noting that the move hits foes twice, though, making Ninjask more susceptible to contact abilities and items like Iron Barbs and Rocky Helmet. Acrobatics is a stronger and more accurate alternative, notably always OHKOing offensive Charizard and Galarian Articuno at +2. However, opting for Acrobatics essentially requires Ninjask not to hold any item, leaving it crippled by Stealth Rock. 104 Speed EVs allow Ninjask to naturally outrun Ribombee, the fastest common Pokemon in the tier.

Ninjask fits best on offensive teams, which aren't held back too much by its defensive shortcomings and take advantage of the momentum it generates. Ninjask lacks the coverage and strength needed to deal with bulky Ground-, Rock-, and Steel-types like Quagsire, Regirock, and Aggron, so it should be paired with wallbreakers like Jellicent and Gallade. In return, Ninjask provides these Pokemon with much appreciated pivoting support, and it offensively checks threats looking to revenge kill them, such as Scrafty and Ribombee. Spikes support from the likes of Garbodor and Qwilfish gives Ninjask an easier time wearing down its grounded switch-ins and securing a sweep. Garbodor can also weaken softer checks to Ninjask, such as Ferroseed, if it runs Corrosive Gas. If Ninjask chooses not to hold Heavy-Duty Boots, then pairing it with entry hazard removal from the likes of Comfey and Eldegoss is a must to keep it as healthy as possible.

On account of its incredibly high Speed, which is supplemented by Speed Boost, Ninjask is the fastest unboosted Pokemon in PU. It is this fact alongside access to U-turn that lets Ninjask serve as both a capable revenge killer and an effective offensive pivot. Swords Dance adds to the list of roles that Ninjask can fulfill, turning it into a threatening sweeper that, thanks to Speed Boost, can be difficult for teams to reliably stop late-game maybe tone this down since staying out of ninjask (weak) range isnt too bad. However, despite having fairly powerful STAB moves, Ninjask is not particularly strong before setting up due to its mediocre Attack. Ninjask's bad bulk and weakness-laden typing tend to limit its setup opportunities to forced switches and give priority users like Sneasel and Lycanroc an easier time revenge killing it. Finally, Ninjask faces tight competition from Scyther, which, while slower, is much stronger, can always afford to use Heavy-Duty Boots, and is better at making progress against teams thanks to Knock Off could include mentioning bulk for easier SD too.

Protect lets Ninjask scout for potential coverage moves or Choice Scarf users and gives it a free Speed boost. Dual Wingbeat allows for Ninjask to viably run Heavy-Duty Boots, thus extending its longevity and allowing it to more easily pivot. Acrobatics is a stronger and more accurate alternative, notably always OHKOing Charizard and Galarian Articuno at +2. However, the move virtually requires Ninjask not to hold any item, which leaves it vulnerable to Stealth Rock. 104 Speed EVs allows Ninjask to naturally outrun Ribombee, the fastest commonly used Pokemon in the tier. Ninjask lacks the coverage and sheer strength to reliably deal with bulky Ground-, Rock-, and Steel-types like Quagsire, Regirock, and Aggron, making powerful wallbreakers like Jellicent and Gallade useful partners to have. In return, Ninjask provides these examples with much appreciated pivoting support and offensively checks threats looking to revenge kill them, such as Scrafty and Ribombee. Spikes support from the likes of Garbodor and Qwilfish gives Ninjask an easier time wearing down its grounded switch-ins and securing a sweep. Garbodor can also weaken softer checks to Ninjask, such as Ferroseed, if it runs Corrosive Gas. If Ninjask chooses not to hold Heavy-Duty Boots, then pairing it with removers like Comfey and Eldegoss is a must to keep it in as prime condition to switch in as possible.

not sure if by the inital dwb mention or the garbodor but i think you should include ninjask hating helmet/togedemaru iron barbs

i think jask is the type of pokemon where the style of team is worth a mention. it kinda forces you to run a more offensively, pivot and control focused team, jask balance is pretty difficult to work out
