Welcome to NU classic playoffs! This year, NU classic is part of the NU circuit as a Type C tournament, meaning it counts towards circuit playoffs. For playoffs, here are a few guidelines participants should remember:
  • General Tournament Rules: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/tournament-rules-and-general-guidelines.3642760/
  • Each round is a best-of-five match, and playoffs are single elimination.
    • The way generation order is picked works like this: the higher seed will pick for game 1, and from there the loser of the previous game will pick which generation is played next.
  • All tournament games must be played on Pokemon Showdown!, and replays are required for all rounds. It is preferable to play on Smogtours and if players disagree on which server to play on, Smogtours is the default.
  • Each round will last one week, and extensions will be given if necessary. Dropping out of playoffs will result in an infraction for unsportsmanlike conduct
