I finally did it! I got number one on the ladder soloing taurosless + laxless! When I started playing tauroless + laxless I didn't know if it was possible. The only other laxless + tauroless teams I had ever seen were ones posted by peasounay and leader of the rockets in the rby discussion thread, and they were not very good, no offense! :') So I was all alone in trying to experiment and make laxless + tauroless work and I did it!! Idk what else to say except that I am happy that I have laid the foundation for anyone else who wants to try this. I hope this is the start of opening the door for anyone else who wants to try. My main hope is that someone picks up tauroless + laxless and takes it farther than I did.
Idk what to say about the team without saying far too much. I feel like I could write a vveeerrryyyy disorganized book about it P: The main thing with tauroless + laxless is getting rid of/crippling tauros and not letting chansey die while she is needed. Tauros can be intimidating, but take solace in the fact that tauros cannot come in for free and once he has been taken care of, things are far easier :) On Kang vs Jynx. I did most of the ladder climb with the Kang variation but I felt in the end that maybe jynx was more consistent. pros and cons *shrugs* . Kang will give you more hitting power, while jynx will give you more special power/easier sleeps/more special defense. The special defense is actually why I put her on the team. Specifically for chansey ice beams. I really didn't like my opponents throwing ice beams at me, so Jynx is there to come in on chansey ice beam and then lk. Ka ching!
On getting number 1 on the ladder. What I learned is that you need an account for playing consistently and another account for experimentation. Do not experiment with your main ladder-climbing account! I know that sounds obvious but it took me a while to learn :') I used "hold up big dawg" (woof woof!) as my main account and "slop ai" for my experimenting account to try new things on. ggs to all the good games everyone gave me.
