Kommo-o's decent bulk and useful typing allow it to set up Stealth Rock against common Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Heatran. Kommo-o can also pressure Defog users like Tornadus-T and Zapdos once it has set up with Clangorous Soulblaze. Clanging Scales is a powerful STAB move that is required to use Clangorous Soulblaze. It also bypasses Substitute, so Pokemon such as Serperior and Kyurem can't attempt to take advantage of Kommo-o. Close Combat is crucial for hitting Steel-types like Heatran and Magnezone, which resist or are immune to Kommo-o's other moves, Magearna and Celesteela, which would otherwise beat it one-on-one, and Dark-types like Ash-Greninja and Tyranitar that can survive an unboosted Clanging Scales. Poison Jab hits Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable for decent damage when boosted, as they'd otherwise wall Kommo-o, and it also OHKOes Tapu Bulu and Tapu Lele at +1. Flamethrower is an option to hit Mega Scizor, which can easily take a +1 Close Combat. It also hits Steel-types like Mega Mawile and Ferrothorn and Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tangrowth while avoiding the Defense and Special Defense drops from Close Combat and Clanging Scales. However, giving up Poison Jab leaves Kommo-o walled by Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable.

Set Details
========

Kommonium Z turns Clanging Scales into Clangorous Soulblaze, which can be used to help break through troublesome defensive Pokemon such as Gliscor and Reuniclus. It also gives Kommo-o a +1 boost in each stat, making it a potent late-game sweeper as well as a Stealth Rock setter that can pressure Defog users like Tornadus-T and Zapdos. Bulletproof grants Kommo-o an immunity to moves such as Ferrothorn's Gyro Ball, Blacephalon's Shadow Ball, and Tangrowth and Amoonguss's Sludge Bomb, giving it a safer opportunity to set up against these Pokemon. A bulkier EV spread can be used to better take hits from Ash-Greninja and Heatran. An EV spread of 208 HP / 56 Atk / 244 Spe gives Kommo-o the bulk to survive two Hydro Pumps from Ash-Greninja while maintaining the Speed to outpace Mega Alakazam at +1, although this reduces its damage output. A Hasty nature is used instead of Naive, as it allows Kommo-o to better take Hydro Pump and Dark Pulse from Ash-Greninja and Magma Storm from Heatran.

Usage Tips
========

Kommo-o should attempt to set up Stealth Rock early-game, and Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran give it a good opportunity to do so, as they're unable to do much damage to it. Kommo-o can also switch directly into offensive Pokemon like Ash-Greninja, Heatran, and Tyranitar thanks to its typing and decent bulk. However, this wears it down quickly, so if Kommo-o's goal is to sweep late-game, this is not always the best option. Kommo-o also has to be cautious of coverage moves like Heatran's Corkscrew Crash and Mega Tyranitar's Ice Punch. Once Stealth Rock is up, Kommo-o can attempt to weaken its checks such as Magearna and Tapu Fini with Close Combat and Poison Jab, respectively; this can help its teammates and give it potential to clean late-game. Kommo-o must be wary of the Defense and Special Defense drops from Clanging Scales and Close Combat, as they leave it more vulnerable to Pokemon it would usually check. Clangorous Soulblaze is best used against Pokemon that Kommo-o forces out, ensuring that it sets up safely without being put in range of attacks from faster Choice Scarf users such as Landorus-T using Earthquake and Kartana using Sacred Sword. Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze if the opponent still has a Fairy-type that can switch in or a Pokemon that can be sacrificed to entry hazards, as this will waste Kommo-o's Z-Crystal and prevent its boosts. Status conditions will often leave Kommo-o unable to sweep due to it being worn down quickly or having a lowered Speed or Attack stat, so be cautious against Pokemon like Toxapex, Gliscor, and Rotom-W that could potentially inflict them. If Kommo-o's goal is to keep hazards up, then the Z-Move can be used against Tornadus-T and Zapdos as they attempt to remove them.

Team Options
========

Kommo-o fits best on offensively oriented teams with Pokemon like Serperior and Ash-Greninja that make it easier for Kommo-o to sweep late-game by weakening its checks. Since Kommo-o needs the opposing team to be weakened before attempting a sweep, strong wallbreakers like Mega Mawile, Kartana, and Ash-Greninja are useful partners; they also appreciate Kommo-o setting up Stealth Rock. Another way to weaken the opposing team is with Spikes. Ash-Greninja forms a good hazard-stacking core with Kommo-o while wearing down Tapu Fini and Magearna. Protean Greninja also sets up Spikes and can lure and KO Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable with Gunk Shot. Ferrothorn is also able to set up Spikes while switching into some of the offensive Psychic- and Fairy-types that Kommo-o dislikes. Kommo-o struggles against offensive Psychic- and Fairy-types like Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele, and Mega Mawile, especially when unboosted. Steel-types such as Magearna and Celesteela can take on Psychic-types, and the former can also switch into Tornadus-T; both of them appreciate Kommo-o's ability to switch into Fire-types. Heatran can switch into Mega Mawile and take a hit from Tapu Lele as long as it's cautious of Focus Blast; it appreciates that Kommo-o can switch into Ash-Greninja if needed. Kommo-o can act as a check to Ash-Greninja and Heatran, although it gets worn down quickly, so an additional check to these Pokemon is needed. Toxapex, Tapu Bulu, and Assault Vest Tangrowth can check Ash-Greninja, while Pokemon like Gliscor and Mega Alakazam can switch into Heatran if needed. Kommo-o is unable to take down Toxapex, which can also remove its boosts with Haze. Therefore, Pokemon that can deal with Toxapex such as Mega Alakazam and Tapu Lele are useful partners.

Banned deucer.
Does this pokemon not have a 4 attacks set? I believe if Kommo is considered viable in this meta with a Z+rocks set then 4 attacks should still be a viable option, as the extra coverage makes it even more of a bastard to face and means it wont be offensively checked by something like D Gleam Koko, or annoyed as much as something like Clefable or Tapu fini as it can afford Poison Jab to fuck em up. Drain Punch is also a very good pick on this set because healing is always good on something that aims to stick around while it can (you can negate toxic damage + weather if it comes to that too) , and its strong enough at +1 to justify using over unreliable focus blast and its good enough vs ttar/gren/tran which is all you want it for anyway.

To p2's point, if this became mixed and Drain Punch replaced Focus Blast, 32 Attack EVs and a Hasty nature guarantees an OHKO on Ash-Greninja after rocks. It also has a 90% chance to 2HKO SpD Heatran after one round of rocks and leftovers recovery (45 - 53.3% ). If you're aiming for a more longevity-focused one like the bulky spread, it's not too much of a change to swap Focus Blast for Drain Punch. With a spread of 208 HP / 32 Atk / 24 SpA / 244 Spe Hasty, you still 2HKO Ferrothorn with Flamethrower after Rocks, the aforementioned OHKO on Ash-Gren after Rocks, 2HKO SpD Tran 90% of the time after Rocks, Guaranteed 2HKO offensive Tran without Rocks (which Focus Blast would too, dealing 78.6 - 92.8%), and can really smack things like Tyranitar hard. For bulky specifically, Drain Punch seems like an interesting option. Hasty sucks though...

  • Clanging scales is a powerful STAB attack that’s required to use Clangorous Soulblaze. It also bypasses Substitute, so Pokemon such as Serperior and Kyurem can't attempt to take advantage of it.
  • Focus Blast is crucial for hitting Steel-types that such as Heatran, who is immune to Flamethrower, as well as Magnezone and Excadrill who can take an unboosted Flamethrower. It also allows Kommo-o to OHKO Dark types like Tyranitar as well as Ash-Greninja who can live an unboosted Clanging Scales.
  • Flamethrower is Kommo-o's best option against Steel-types that are neutral to Fighting such as Magearna, Mega Mawile, and Celesteela. They do practically the same damage, make sure to specify its superior accuracy. I also think you should add Mega Scizor. It also allows Kommo-o to hit Tapu Bulu who would otherwise wall it, as well as other Grass-types like Tangrowth and Amoonguss for slightly more damage while being the safest option against Ferrothorn and Kartana.
  • Kommo-o's decent bulk and useful typing allow it to set up Stealth Rock against common Pokemon such Ash-Greninja and Heatran. The threat of Clangorous Soulblaze and the boosts that come with it allow Kommo-o to pressure Defog users like Tornadus-T and Zapdos.
  • Poison Jab. I'd argue this could even be slashed, because it's quite nice to hit Tapu Fini.

  • Add Hasty for Poison Jab variants.
Usage Tips
========

  • Kommo-o should attempt to set up Stealth Rock early-game, Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Rotom-W give it a good opportunity to do so, as they're unable to do much damage to it or cripple it, apart from a rare Thunder Wave. Kommo-o can also use Stealth Rock against offensive Pokemon like Ash-Greninja, Heatran, and Tyranitar as it resists their main STAB moves and effectively forces them out.
  • Kommo-o can also switch directly into these Pokemon thanks to its typing and decent bulk, although this wears it down quickly, so if Kommo-o's goal is to sweep late-game this is not always the best option. Kommo-o also has to be cautious of coverage moves like Heatran's Corkscrew Crash and Mega Tyranitar’s Ice Punch.
  • Once Hazards are up, Kommo-o can attempt to weaken its checks such as Tapu Bulu and Assualt Vest Magearna with Flamethrower, this can help its teammates or give it potential to clean late-game. However, if the opponent has a Pokemon that completely walls it such as Clefable or Tapu Fini, then switching into a teammate who can take them on is a better play. I'd specify that Kommo-o shouldn't even attempt to set Stealth Rock against Tapu Fini, because it simply cannot touch it.
  • Clangorous Soulblaze is best used when forcing out a foe that is Choice locked into a resisted move such as Greninja's Dark Pulse or Kartana's Leaf Blade, this ensures that Kommo-o sets up safely without being put in range of attacks from faster Choice Scarf users such as Kartana or Landorus-T, nor in range of priority moves like Water Shuriken from Ash-Greninja or Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile. Kommo-o at +1 is far too resistant to these priority moves for it to actually matter 99% of the time. Also, I'd probably specify what move from Kartana or change the example, because you also mention it as bait earlier on.
  • Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze if the opponent still has a Fairy-type that can switch in, as this will waste Kommo-o's Z-Crystal and prevent its boosts.
  • Status conditions like Poison and Paralysis will often leave Kommo-o unable to sweep due to it being worn down quickly or having a lowered Speed stat. For this reason, be cautious against Pokemon like Toxapex, Gliscor, and Mega Latias that could potentially inflict Kommo-o.
  • If Kommo-o's goal is not to sweep, then the Z-move can be used to help keep up hazards against Tornadus-T or Zapdos as they attempt to remove them. Clanging Scales into Clangorous Soulblaze can also take out Pokemon like Reuniclus and Slowbro to help a teammate.
Team Options
========

  • Since Kommo-o needs the opposing team to be weakened before attempting a sweep, strong wallbreakers like Mega Mawile, Kartana, and Mega Medicham are useful partners; the latter helps form a strong Fighting-spam core where they help each other pressure bulky Psychic- and Fairy-types. These Pokemon also appreciate Kommo-o setting up Stealth Rock.
  • Another way to weaken the opposing team is with Spikes. Ash-Greninja forms a good hazard-stacking core with Kommo-o. Protean Greninja also sets up Spikes and can lure in Fairy-types like Tapu Fini and Clefable with Gunk Shot or Specially Defensive Pokemon like Assault Vest Magearna, Toxapex, and Chansey with Tectonic Rage and All-Out Pummeling respectively. Double Z-Move :blobthinking: Ferrothorn is also able to set up Spikes, while also switching into some of the offensive Psychic- and Fairy-types that Kommo-o dislikes.
  • Kommo-o struggles against offensive Psychic- and Fairy-types like Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele, and Mega Mawile, especially when unboosted. Steel-types like Magearna and Celesteela can take on Psychic-types, the former can also switch into Tornadus-T; both of them appreciate Kommo-o's ability to switch into Fire-types. Heatran can switch into Mega Mawile and can take a hit from Tapu Lele as long as it's cautious of Focus Blast, it also appreciates that Kommo-o can switch into Ash-Greninja if needed.
  • Kommo-o can act as a check to Ash-Greninja and Heatran, although it gets worn down quickly, so an additional check to these Pokemon is needed. Toxapex, Tapu Bulu, and Assault Vest Tangrowth can take off the pressure against Ash-Greninja, while Pokemon such as Gliscor, Mega Latias, and Mega Alakazam can switch into Heatran if needed.
  • I'd add consistent Toxapex measures.
  • I'd also consider adding Pokemon that can consistently wear down Tapu Fini, though Greninja already somewhat covers that, so I'll leave it up to you.

  • Add a Flamethrower mentions in move. Not slashed though.
Usage Tips
  • Mention something about being careful with the drops in Defense and Special Defense from Clanging Scales and Close Combat, as they can make Kommo-o a lot more vulnerable to Pokemon it would otherwise wall.
Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze if the opponent still has a Fairy-type that can switch in, as this will waste Kommo-o's Z-Crystal and prevent its boosts.
  • Mention it doesn't work on sacks either.
Excellent job friend!

Kommo-o's decent bulk and useful typing allow it to set up Stealth Rock against common Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Heatran. The threat of Clangorous Soulblaze and the boosts that come with it allow Kommo-o to pressure Defog users like Tornadus-T and Zapdos. (I get what you're trying to say, but be careful about how you mention torn-t here; uninvested hurricane is doing 85% min before set up, so clarify to say that kommo pressures these, or at least torn-t, after setting up) Clanging scales is a powerful STAB attack that’s required to use Clangorous Soulblaze. It also bypasses Substitute, so Pokemon such as Serperior and Kyurem can't attempt to take advantage of it. Close Combat is crucial for hitting Steel-types like Heatran, as well as Magnezone and Excadrill. (everyone knows you hit these super effectively and these mons really don't pressure you much / normally wouldn't stay in, so I don't think this line alone captures CC's importance. add a sentence about it hitting other steel-types like magearna and celesteela for a good chunk of damage after a boost as otherwise they would wall/beat it easily) It also allows Kommo-o to OHKO Dark types such as Tyranitar as well as Ash-Greninja who can live an unboosted Clanging Scales. Poison Jab can be used to hit Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable for decent damage when boosted, as they'd otherwise wall Kommo-o. It also OHKOes Tapu Bulu and Tapu Lele at +1. Flamethrower is an option to hit Mega Scizor, who can easily take a +1 Close Combat. However, giving up Poison Jab leaves Kommo-o walled by Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable.

Set Details
========

Kommonium Z turns Clanging Scales into Clangorous Soulblaze which can be used to help break through troublesome defensive Pokemon; as well as Defog users like Tornadus-T and Zapdos. (same applies here to torn-t as before) It also gives Kommo-o a +1 boost in each stat, making it a potent late-game sweeper. Bulletproof grants Kommo-o an immunity to moves such as Ferrothorn's Gyro Ball, Blacephalon's Shadow Ball, and Sludge Bomb from Tangrowth and Amoonguss, giving it a safer opportunity to set up against these Pokemon. A bulkier EV spread can be used to better take hits from Ash-Greninja and Heatran. A spread of 208 HP / 56 Atk / 244 Spe gives Kommo-o the bulk to live two Hydro Pumps from Ash-Greninja, while maintaining the speed to outpace Mega Alakazam at +1. (but reduces its attacking power) A Hasty nature is used as it allows Kommo-o to better take Hydro Pump or Dark Pulse from Ash-Greninja and Magma Storm from Heatran.

Usage Tips
========

Kommo-o should attempt to set up Stealth Rock early-game, Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Tangrowth give it a good opportunity to do so, as they're unable to do much damage to it. (Tangrowth's HP Ice is doing a respectable 33% to it so replace it with Heatran from the following sentence) Kommo-o can also use Stealth Rock against offensive Pokemon such as Ash-Greninja, Heatran, and Tyranitar as it resists their main STAB moves and effectively forces them out. (try to condense the previous two sentences into one) Kommo-o can also switch directly into these Pokemon thanks to its typing and decent bulk, although this wears it down quickly, so if Kommo-o's goal is to sweep late-game this is not always the best option. Kommo-o also has to be cautious of coverage moves like Heatran's Corkscrew Crash and Mega Tyranitar’s Ice Punch. Once Hazards are up, Kommo-o can attempt to weaken its checks such as Magearna and Tapu Fini with Close Combat and Poison Jab respectively, this can help its teammates or give it potential to clean late-game. However, Kommo-o must be wary of the Defense and Special Defense drops from Clanging Scales and Close Combat, as they leave it more vulnerable to Pokemon it would usually check. (nitpicky but remove however from this sentence because it doesn't directly translate from the next one and this is better off as a general point) Clangorous Soulblaze is best used when forcing out a foe that is Choice locked into a resisted move such as Greninja's Dark Pulse or Kartana's Leaf Blade, this ensures that Kommo-o sets up safely without being put in range of attacks from faster Choice Scarf users such as Landorus-T or Kartana using Sacred Sword. (make this more general just to say against Pokemon it forces out) Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze if the opponent still has a Fairy-type that can switch in or a Pokemon that can be sacrificed to hazards, as this will waste Kommo-o's Z-Crystal and prevent its boosts. Status conditions will often leave Kommo-o unable to sweep due to it being worn down quickly or having a lowered Speed or Attack stat. For this reason, be cautious against Pokemon like Toxapex, Gliscor, and Rotom-W that could potentially inflict Kommo-o. (add these examples in the previous sentence to condense this paragraph, it's a bit long) If Kommo-o's goal is not to sweep, then the Z-move can be used to help keep up hazards against Tornadus-T or Zapdos as they attempt to remove them. (honestly just rephrase not to sweep to keep hazards up) Clanging Scales into Clangorous Soulblaze can also take out Pokemon such as Reuniclus and Slowbro after prior chip damage to help a teammate. (this can apply to more pokemon than these two & they're not particularly common + usually always paired with stuff like clef so remove this line)

Team Options
========

Since Kommo-o needs the opposing team to be weakened before attempting a sweep, strong wallbreakers like Mega Mawile, Kartana, and Mega Medicham are useful partners; the latter helps form a strong Fighting-spam core where they help each other pressure bulky Psychic- and Fairy-types. These Pokemon also appreciate Kommo-o setting up Stealth Rock. (I'd replace mmedi with mzam or ash-ninja, double fighting sounds too prone to stuff like torn-t) Another way to weaken the opposing team is with Spikes. Ash-Greninja forms a good hazard-stacking core with Kommo-o and can chip away at Tapu Fini. (magearna too) Protean Greninja also sets up Spikes and can lure in Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable with Gunk Shot. Ferrothorn is also able to set up Spikes, while also switching into some of the offensive Psychic- and Fairy-types that Kommo-o dislikes. Kommo-o struggles against offensive Psychic- and Fairy-types like Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele, and Mega Mawile, especially when unboosted. Steel-types such as Magearna and Celesteela can take on Psychic-types, the former can also switch into Tornadus-T; both of them appreciate Kommo-o's ability to switch into Fire-types. Heatran can switch into Mega Mawile and can take a hit from Tapu Lele as long as it's cautious of Focus Blast, it also appreciates that Kommo-o can switch into Ash-Greninja if needed. Kommo-o can act as a check to Ash-Greninja and Heatran, although it gets worn down quickly, so an additional check to these Pokemon is needed. Toxapex, Tapu Bulu, and Assault Vest Tangrowth can take off the pressure against Ash-Greninja, while Pokemon like Gliscor, Mega Latias, and Mega Alakazam can switch into Heatran if needed. (remove Mega Latias, can't see these two on a team together) Kommo-o is unable to take down Toxapex, who can also remove its boosts with Haze. Therefore, Pokemon that can consistently deal with Toxapex such as Mega Alakazam and Reuniclus are useful partners. (again, can't see it fitting on a team with reuniclus so remove that from here)

unless we decide to give 4 attacks a set, I'd also like to see a sentence or two about it fitting on more offensively oriented teams with stuff like serperior and mgyara due to its good coverage + z boost being scary to face late game after its offensive teammates weaken its checks

Kommonium Z turns Clanging Scales into Clangorous Soulblaze which can be used to help break through troublesome defensive Pokemon. What troublesome defensive Pokemon specifically? Give me an example or two. It also gives Kommo-o a +1 boost in each stat, making it a potent late-game sweeper, as well as a Stealth Rock setter that can pressure Defog users like Tornadus-T and Zapdos. A Hasty nature is used as it allows Kommo-o to better take Hydro Pump or Dark Pulse from Ash-Greninja and Magma Storm from Heatran. Specify that it's preferred to a Naive nature because of this.

Usage Tips
========

Kommo-o should attempt to set up Stealth Rock early-game, Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran give it a good opportunity to do so, as they're unable to do much damage to it. Kommo-o can also switch directly into offensive Pokemon like Ash-Greninja, Heatran, and Tyranitar thanks to its typing and decent bulk, although this wears it down quickly, so if Kommo-o's goal is to sweep late-game this is not always the best option. Once Hazards are up, Kommo-o can attempt to weaken its checks such as Magearna and Tapu Fini with Close Combat and Poison Jab respectively, this can help its teammates or and (Lets it do both, not just 1 or the other.) give it potential to clean late-game. Kommo-o must be wary of the Defense and Special Defense drops from Clanging Scales and Close Combat, as they leave it more vulnerable to Pokemon it would usually check. Clangorous Soulblaze is best used against Pokemon that Kommo-o forces out, this ensures that it sets up safely without being put in range of attacks from faster Choice Scarf users such as Landorus-T or Kartana using Sacred Sword. Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze if the opponent still has a Fairy-type that can switch in or a Pokemon that can be sacrificed to hazards, as this will waste Kommo-o's Z-Crystal and prevent its boosts. If Kommo-o's goal is to keep hazards up, then the Z-move can be used against Tornadus-T or Zapdos as they attempt to remove them.

Team Options
========

Kommo-o fits best on offensively oriented teams with Pokemon like Serperior and Mega Gyarados that make it easier to sweep late-game by weakening Kommo-o's checks. I'm not sure how I feel about the Mega Gyarados mention here considering just how awkward it is to fit on teams, especially because it doubles up with Kommo-o so much in defensive utility. I feel like Greninja would be a suitable replacement. Since Kommo-o needs the opposing team to be weakened before attempting a sweep, strong wallbreakers like Mega Mawile, Kartana, and Ash-Greninja are useful partners, they also appreciate Kommo-o setting up Stealth Rock. Another way to weaken the opposing team is with Spikes. Ash-Greninja forms a good hazard-stacking core with Kommo-o and can chip away at Tapu Fini and Magearna. Protean Greninja also sets up Spikes and can lure in Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable with Gunk Shot. Toxapex, Tapu Bulu, and Assault Vest Tangrowth can take off the pressure against Ash-Greninja, while Pokemon like Gliscor and Mega Alakazam can switch into Heatran if needed. Kommo-o is unable to take down Toxapex, who can also remove its boosts with Haze. Therefore, Pokemon that can deal with it such as Mega Alakazam and Tapu Lele are useful partners.

Clanging Scales is a powerful STAB move which that is required to use Clangorous Soulblaze. It also bypasses Substitute, so Pokemon such as Serperior and Kyurem can't attempt to take advantage of it Kommo-o (Jordy said this 'it' refers to Kommo-o). Close Combat is crucial for hitting Steel-types like Heatran and Magnezone who ,(AC) which resist,(RC) or are immune to Kommo's Kommo-o's other moves, and Magearna and Celesteela, who which would otherwise beat it 1v1 one-on-one, and as well as Dark-types like Ash-Greninja and Tyranitar who that can live an unboosted Clanging Scales.(I replaced all of the semicolons in this sentence with commas, so make sure to implement with the traditional GP implementation method) Poison Jab can be used to hit hits Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable for decent damage when boosted, as they'd otherwise wall Kommo-o, and it also OHKOes Tapu Bulu and Tapu Lele at +1. Flamethrower is an option to hit Mega Scizor, who which can easily take a +1 Close Combat. It also hits Steel-types like Mega Mawile and Ferrothorn, as well as Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tangrowth while avoiding the Defense and Special Defense drops from Close Combat and Clanging Scales. However, giving up Poison Jab leaves Kommo-o walled by Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable.

Set Details
========

Kommonium Z turns Clanging Scales into Clangorous Soulblaze,(AC) which can be used to help break through troublesome defensive Pokemon such as Gliscor and Reuniclus. It also gives Kommo-o a +1 boost in each stat, making it a potent late-game sweeper, as well as a Stealth Rock setter that can pressure Defog users like Tornadus-T and Zapdos. Bulletproof grants Kommo-o an immunity to moves such as Ferrothorn's Gyro Ball, Blacephalon's Shadow Ball, and Tangrowth and Amoonguss's (consistency with the other examples) Sludge Bomb from Tangrowth and Amoonguss, giving it a safer opportunity to set up against these Pokemon. A bulkier EV spread can be used to better take hits from Ash-Greninja and Heatran. A spread of 208 HP / 56 Atk / 244 Spe gives Kommo-o the bulk to live two Hydro Pumps from Ash-Greninja,(RC) while maintaining the speed Speed to outpace Mega Alakazam at +1, although this reduces its damage output. A Hasty nature is used instead of Naive,(AC) as it allows Kommo-o to better take Hydro Pump or and Dark Pulse from Ash-Greninja and Magma Storm from Heatran.

Usage Tips
========

Kommo-o should attempt to set up Stealth Rock early-game, and Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran give it a good opportunity to do so, as they're unable to do much damage to it. Kommo-o can also switch directly into offensive Pokemon like Ash-Greninja, Heatran, and Tyranitar thanks to its typing and decent bulk,(RC) however .(AP) However,(AC) this wears it down quickly, so if Kommo-o's goal is to sweep late-game,(AC) this is not always the best option. Kommo-o also has to be cautious of coverage moves like Heatran's Corkscrew Crash and Mega Tyranitar's Ice Punch. Once Hazards entry hazards (if you just mean Stealth Rock, then it's probably better to just state that and change 'are' to 'is') are up, Kommo-o can attempt to weaken its checks such as Magearna and Tapu Fini with Close Combat and Poison Jab,(AC) respectively,;(RC, ASC) this can help its teammates and give it potential to clean late-game. Kommo-o must be wary of the Defense and Special Defense drops from Clanging Scales and Close Combat, as they leave it more vulnerable to Pokemon it would usually check. Clangorous Soulblaze is best used against Pokemon that Kommo-o forces out, this ensures ensuring that it sets up safely without being put in range of attacks from faster Choice Scarf users such as Landorus-T or and Kartana using Sacred Sword (if you're gonna use an example of a move Kartana can use to revenge kill Kommo-o with, then do the same for Landorus-T). Avoid using Clangorous Soulblaze if the opponent still has a Fairy-type that can switch in or a Pokemon that can be sacrificed to hazards, as this will waste Kommo-o's Z-Crystal and prevent its boosts. Status conditions will often leave Kommo-o unable to sweep due to it being worn down quickly or having a lowered Speed or Attack stat, so be cautious against Pokemon like Toxapex, Gliscor, and Rotom-W that could potentially inflict it them. If Kommo-o's goal is to keep hazards up, then the Z-move Z-Move can be used against Tornadus-T or and Zapdos as they attempt to remove them.

Team Options
========

Kommo-o fits best on offensively oriented teams with Pokemon like Serperior and Ash-Greninja that make it easier for Kommo-o to sweep late-game by weakening Kommo-o's its checks. Since Kommo-o needs the opposing team to be weakened before attempting a sweep, strong wallbreakers like Mega Mawile, Kartana, and Ash-Greninja are useful partners,;(RC, ASC) they also appreciate Kommo-o setting up Stealth Rock. Another way to weaken the opposing team is with Spikes. Ash-Greninja forms a good hazard-stacking core with Kommo-o while wearing down Tapu Fini and Magearna. Protean Greninja also sets up Spikes and can lure Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable with Gunk Shot. Ferrothorn is also able to set up Spikes,(RC) while switching into some of the offensive Psychic- and Fairy-types that Kommo-o dislikes. Kommo-o struggles against offensive Psychic- and Fairy-types like Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele, and Mega Mawile, especially when unboosted. Kommo-o is unable to take down Toxapex, who which can also remove its boosts with Haze. Therefore, Pokemon that can deal with Toxapex such as Mega Alakazam and Tapu Lele are useful partners.
