Ogerpon-W may look gentle, but her Leech Seed strategy is very vicious. Thanks to her great speed tier allowing her to effectively use the combination of Leech Seed and Substitute, as well as general good matchups into Skeledirge and Manaphy, Ogerpon-W, proves to be a defining threat in the 1v1 tier. Power Whip can be used make the matchup versus Primarina better, as Primarina can Encore Ogerpon-W and then beat it with Moonblast. Ivy Cudgel can be used as an alternate attack, as it threatens the aforementioned Skeledirge, as well as Donphan. For the last moveslot, you should use Spiky Shield, which makes it easier to stall out opponents with Leech Seed. This also allows Ogerpon-W to protect itself from any potential CustapBerry attack. The defense EVs allow Ogerpon-Wellspring to live Psychic Fangs from Choice Band Metagross, while the Special Defense investment allows Ogerpon-W to live the combination of Blood Moon and Vacuum Wave from Ursaluna-B. Ogerpon-W's weaknesses to Flying and Poison allow it to get checked by Pokemon such as offensive variants of Corviknight, as well as Volcanion's Sludge Wave. As such, Pokemon like Raging Bolt and Zapdos may make for good partners. Ursaluna is also a great partner, as it beats both Goodra-H and Sylveon, two Pokémon that are bad matchups for Ogerpon-W.

- Spiky Shield / Ivy Cudgel (spoke about it in qc, there's literally no point in running dual stabs sub seed without spiky, you just kinda lose so there you go)

Ogerpon-Wellspring shows everyone is boss... by spamming Substitute over and over again! (this line feels super out of place because its kinda supposed to be telling everyone what Ogerpon-W does, but in a more positive way possibly, I'd probably replace this with "Ogerpon-W's leeches can throw you for a spin!" or something along those lines, and then go on and explain the substitute + seed combo and why it is so efficient in 1v1) Thanks to her great speed tier allowing her to effectively use the combination of Leech Seed and Substitute, as well as general good matchups into Volcarona (asterisk, Passho Berry Volcarona has been a common variant, and it allows it to beat pokemon like Primarina and especially Ogerpon-W, just add Skeledirge) and Manaphy, Ogerpon-Wellspring proves to be a defining threat in the 1v1 tier. Power Whip can bed to use make the matchup versus Primarina better, as Primarina can Encore Ogerpon-Wellspring and then beat it with Moonblast. Ivy Cudgel can be used as an alternate attack, as it threatens the aforementioned Volcarona, as well as Entei and Landorus-T (i see very little point to this, i need to see pokemon that Ogerpon-W needs to beat with just Ivy Cudgel or maybe some combination of substitute and Ivy Cudgel, some good examples of these could be Donphan [if it misses a gunk shot, which is likelier to than not], and Skeledirge [since sound moves go through substitute]). For the last moveslot, you should use Spiky Shield, which makes it easier to stall out opponents with Leech Seed. Otherwise, Ivy Cudgel can be used if you chose Power Whip in your third moveslot. The defense EVs allow Ogerpon-Wellspring to live Psychic Fangs from Choice Band Metagross, while the Special Defense investment allows Ogerpon-Wellspring to live the comboination of Blood Moon and Vacuum Wave from Ursaluna-Bloodmoon. (the cuts ended up making the spotlight kinda short, so in order to lengthen it up, i suggest that you look into partners for Ogerpon-W, like checks that can beat other checks, example: "Ogerpon-W's weaknesses to Flying and Poison allow it to get checked by Pokemon with such coverage such as offensive variants of Corviknight, as well as Volcanion's Sludge Wave. As such, Pokemon like Raging Bolt and Zapdos may make for good partners")

Alternatively, (AC) Ivy Cudgel can be used as an alternate attack, as it threatens the aforementioned Skeledirge (RC) as well as Donphan. For the last moveslot, you should use Spiky Shield (RC) which makes it easier to stall out opponents foes with Leech Seed (RP) This also and allows Ogerpon-W to protect itself from any potential CustapBerry attack Custap Berry-boosted attacks. The Defense EVs allow Ogerpon-Wellspring Ogerpon-W to live survive Psychic Fangs from Choice Band Metagross, while the Special Defense investment allows Ogerpon-W it to live survive the combination of Blood Moon and Vacuum Wave from Ursaluna-B. Ogerpon-W's weaknesses to Flying and Poison weaknesses allow it to get be checked by Pokemon such as like offensive variants of Corviknight (RC) as well as Volcanion's Sludge Wave. As such, Pokemon like Raging Bolt and Zapdos may make for good partners. Ursaluna is also a great partner, as it beats both Goodra-H Hisuian Goodra and Sylveon, two Pokémon Pokemon that are bad matchups for Ogerpon-W.
