Welcome to OM Swiss!

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • 2021 OM Circuit information can be found here.
  • The banlists for this tournament are the same as the ladder of each format of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown.
  • Two stages
    • Stage 1:
      • Swiss-style
      • Each week is a best-of-3 of a different metagame randomly decided by !pick (listed later in this post)
      • All players with a positive record after the 5th week (3-2, 3-1, or 3-0) move onto Stage 2
    • Stage 2:
      • Best-of-3 non-seeded single elimination
      • First game of each week chosen by !pick, second (and third) game(s) picked by the loser of the previous game
      • You only earn points for the circuit from this
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
  • Sw/Sh cartridge win conditions are in place; there are no ties.
  • Replays are recommended to prevent disputes.

But first I'd like to congrulate the qualifiers, especially TTTech and MAMP, I didn't trust in you and you made an impressive 3-0, wp mates. (gz TectonicDestroyer too... no jk I'm mad)

Pairings:

(winner of Derpeddeath vs Eggs)  vs  Ren Ren's level is far away of his opponents in my opinion, tho Eggs play AAA decently so there is a chance.
Beka  vs  in the hills go back to sleep beka
(winner of tf vs Fc)  vs  Dr. Phd. BJ Interesting pairing between good players, if I had to choose I would bold Dr. Phd. Bj
XxSevagxX  vs  Akashi pretty pretty cool pairing, I’m still impressed by Akashi since the bo3 we had, but I’ll bold Sevag cuz his voice is amazing
queso  vs  berry I haven't seen berry played a lot but I think he's slightly better than queso, esp in AAA
a loser  vs  The Immortal interesting pairing again between two players not playing in their main, I'll bold a loser cuz he's my favorite cap, and I hope he'll bounce back after the Camotour
Ryuji-Sempai  vs  Quantum Tesseract Ryuji is cool yea, but QT is like really strong and I don't think he can beat QT
tlenit  vs  Andyboy damn all of these pairings are really cool, kinda the same as between a loser and TI, I'll bold Andy for the perf at the AAALT
Redflix  vs  Dragonillis no game Redflix is bad... More seriously, I think Redflix is probably a little bit better in game but Drago knows AAA very well and I think the experience will win here

(loser of Derpeddeath vs Eggs)  vs  Chazm again, I think Eggs would have a little chance (and not derpeddeath), but Chazm is really good too (even tho he hates regenerator.. )

beauts  vs  AnnaMyers beauts can be really good sometimes, and I don't know the opp at all
cityscapes  vs  damflame 3 good players but damflame is good everywhere when I don't think city plays AAA at all
alaserdolphin  vs  The Dragon Master :(((((
(loser of tf vs Fc)  vs  PA Fc played AAA during OMPL and tf is decent in I think, but it will be an interesing bo3
King Leo V  vs  Mr.Bossaru My man King Leo will win this for me
ItsChew.  vs  5Dots Finally Chew's main, when 5Dots won by AW so no game here
