Hi, I'm Precipice for those of you who don't know me I enjoy listening to music, sports, writing, watching tv, pokemon and art. I've been doodling loads ever since I was a kid and although most of them are 5 minute sketches occassionally i will find myself spending much longer on certain pieces. Only recently, however, have I started using computer programmes with my art.

I know some of the other artists on smogon draw their art straight onto the computer, I myself can't do this a mouse just isn't versatile enough for me and it limits my drawing.
Instead I draw my original sketches onto paper before colouring them in on the computer on GIMP. i know GIMP isn't necessarily as good as photo shop but it is free and easy to use, and I'm used to it. I will be taking a maximum of three requests at one time. Please bear in mind I'm a busy guys and they can take me quite a while to do- its a lengthly process as im still learning.

I also do signatures and icons using graphics made by other people, however, you aren't allowed to create threads for such things here so unfortunately I cannot display them. However i am open to requests for these if you'd like me to try.

So far the only acceptable piece I have managed to produce is the Yoshi (above.) However I feel that now I have grasped the concept and basics techniques i can only move forward and progress.

I constructed Yoshi using the exact technique I explained In the second paragraph and I've created this to display the steps I took in creating him

More to come...

Nice work there! I totally sympathize with love of doodling and trying to transition to coloring on the computer, that's how I started out. Mouses are a pain.
If I may suggest that you darking your lines on the paper with pen it will scan easier and be easier to trace in Gimp. Lookning forward to future projects!

The Slaking is quite intimidating. Really fits what you're trying to draw... I think. Anyway, I also do sketches on paper but I haven't tried colouring them in on a computer yet. Seeing what you have done with Slaking makes me curious about whether I should try it or not. Great work you got here, I'm anticipating the final product of 'Girl on swing' =)

Thanks for the comments ^^

You should give computer colouring a go its fun, for me anyway =P
As for girl on a swing that is the final product, i wanted to give a more childish and simplistic style.

Oh that IS the final product! It's simple and cute =) I'll try computer colouring later, I'm not very good with shading. Chibi Cresselia is brilliant!

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you liked cresselia I don't usually do chibi style ^^

On another note:

I will now be accepting a maximum of three requests at a time, please be patient with me as I'm a busy guy and they can take a while to do as im still learning.

Should probably update my thread more often...(chew)

I'm not particularly proud of this caricature but its the only decent one I've done....guess who?
