Only Revolutions - a shitty HO sun RMT
_______________________________________________________________________________
Dear lord, this team is bad...
Aight, sup smogon it's ya boi Stockings/Gosick here with my first RMT and probably my first real post. I made this team late at night after my internet d/c'd, meaning that this was made without: the calc, marriland, frens to help, viability rankings, threatlists and so forth.
Anyway, bored out of my mind from playing too much VSAV I got off my lazy ass and on to the PO teambuillder where I decided to Innovate Lilligant sun, something I dabbled with a bit in bw2 OU. You're Generally always gonna be running some kind of offense with a mon like Lilligant, I mean, seriously, it's a rather blatant glass cannon. So I guess I'll show you guys this abomination. It's barely even HO, its just 'O'. After playtesting (on ladder albeit...) I find that this team is fun af, but not as good as it could be.

TEAMBUILDING PROCESS:
______________________________________________________________________________
So, I'm P bad when it comes to building, but I find it fun so w/e.
I started off with Lilligant, as it's my favourite 'mon and I wanted to build around it, despite how bad it is.
Next I wanted a physical fire 'mon to accompany Lilligant and make a 'core' so I chose bulky zard X,
knowing that people would think it's zard Y as this is obviously a sun team, which can let me set up a DD or bag a free kill by my opponent making a wrong prediction.
I added Keldeo for my next 'mon because f/w/g makes ladder kids cry and a f/w/g offensive core is actually a decent thing to have on your team, I chose it over gren because bisharp is a dick and gren is prob gettin B& soon anyway.
Obviously I needed some sun-setters, it's a sun team after all, and ninetales was really always gonna be on the team anyway, it's one of the most reliable sun-setters in the game, and almost every sun team will run it, I just added it at this point cuz I had forgotten beforehand.
Latios and drill were just to patch holes in the team while keeping it as offensive as possible, Latios covers a few type weaknesses and gives me another sun-setter, as well as giving me a mon off of the ground because EQ is bork-tier and Exca lets me spin, fuck gengar, hax kids with iron head and kill shit like tflame w/ rock slide.

THE TEAM: (Red = Changes)

Help Me Sing (Lilligant) (F) @ Life Orb
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 208 HP / 252 SAtk / 48 Spd
IVs: 0 Atk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Quiver Dance
- Giga Drain
- Solar Beam
This Is basically standard for a LO Lilligant setup/bulky sweeper; 48 speed EVs allow you to outspeed scarf Lando and most other scarf threats, as you hit 456 speed under sun. I invested the rest in to HP as liligant is an incredibly frail mon due to it's weakness pool and even small chip damage will do a fair amount to you with 186/186 defenses. You could alternatively run lum berry and petal dance if you wanna style on some kids, but if you do intend to try using Lilligant at a decent to high level of play, I would recommend against it.
Somebody help me sing
Can anybody hear me?
Liars and lovers combine tonight
We're gonna make a scene
On And On (Charizard) (M) @ Charizardite X
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Outrage
- Will-O-Wisp
Zard X is Zard X, it hit's hard, it sets up, there's really not much to it really, it's simply one of the best pokemon in the ou metagame as it stands. I chose WoW + bulk as it gives the team another defensive option and you can catch stuff easily on the switch with it. My advice on using WoW is to look at your opponents team and see what you want to sleep w/ Lilligant, (innuendo 100% intended.) because correctly statusing your opponents pokemon can give you dumb advantage.
'Cause it goes on and on and on and on
It whistles, let go, let go
'Cause it goes on and on and on and on
It whistles, let go, let go
Acid Queen (Keldeo-R) @ Leftovers
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Justified
EVs: 52 HP / 252 SAtk / 204 Spd
IVs: 0 Atk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Secret Sword
- Scald
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
Y'all don't even kno about subCM lefties Keldeo... I got exposed in a mini tour by a set like this and decided to test it out on a few teams, it's a dumb and surprisingly effective set that can destroy 1/2 of teams after set up, and if you're behind sub, +1 scald will always ohko tflame, provided they're not
behind screen, which is cool, (banks on high roll in sun tho.) it also takes out a bunch of common ou threats without taking a harsh trade. The 52 HP EVs are just for a tiny bit more bulk and they let you hit a lefties number, which is p good since you're subbing quite often.
I've been counting on the wrong things
To make life feel alright
You could be my acid queen
Until the end of time
Hit Me Hard (Ninetales) (F) @ Heat Rock
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Drought
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SAtk / 252 SDef
IVs: 0 Atk
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Solar Beam
- Fire Blast
- Roar
I hate ninetales, it's hard to get out safely and it gets bopped by like 1/2 of OU, so I had to make it some kind of bulky utility 'mon. SolarBeam & Fire Blast are just obvious picks for what it's offensive moves are, good coverage and high power, I liked roar for stuff like heatran or anything that might try to read my switch with a CM/DD/SD etc, CroCune is a good example. Despite this use, Ninetales is still booty, but it's a reliable af sun-setter that doesn't have to rely on spending
a turn on suny day.
When we collide we come together
If we don't we'll always be apart
I'll take a bruise; I know you're worth it
When you hit me hit me hard
Alone Again (Latios) (M) @ Life Orb
Shiny: Yes
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
IVs: 0 Atk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Sunny Day
- Roost
Latios was an obvious choice for me, as I said before, it covered weaknesses and gave me another sun-setter, It's basically the normal defog set, but with sunny day instead of defog. I considered running thunderbolt over roost, but I ultimately decided to run roost, as I decided I preferred the longevity over the coverage. Latios also gives me a switch in to a lot of threats, such as rotom etc.
Who's the hippy now?
I cut it off to make you proud,
abuse my limbs until the sun goes down
I don't want to be alone again.
My Horizon (Excadrill) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Slide
I just like Excadrill, he's got a lovely movepool, provides spin support and acts as a good revenge killer. Altough he gets eaten by some common threats, he also has the ability to put a lot of chip damage on the opponents team, as well as providing a gengar check in earthquake to get around being spinblocked. He has amazing coverage, patches a couple weaknesses and most importantly, he has hax.
I wrote a note to the jungle and
They wrote me back that I was never crowned
King of the jungle so, there's an end to my horizon

Wok Oban/Wolohan - You're the biggest (BAN ME PLEASE) I know, but you're an innovator & a decent OU/UU player/fren so I'll give you that.
Praj.Pran, Reymedy (I think) & anyone else I played when trying for SPL - You played like, a bunch of games vs me in the #stayclassy IRC in ORAS/ADV OU, I feel I improved so much just from being able to play serious games vs decent players that aren't ladder badkids. Thanks.
Ben Gay - you dk me, but you make cool teams and I draw inspiration from them; did you ever stand up in front of your class on professions day or w/e and just say: 'when I grow up I wanna be an innovator, ye.'
The LC Room - What's ur fav kind of squash?
