[OVERVIEW]
Mega Tyranitar is the most powerful Rock-type in ORAS 1v1. Its huge natural bulk, defensive typing, Special Defense boost from sand, and extensive movepool let it reliably counter some of the top threats in the metagame, such as Mega Charizard X, Porygon-Z, Victini, Kyurem-B, Aegislash, and Timid Choice Specs Greninja. Mega Tyranitar also has excellent utility, with Rock Tomb and Dragon Dance for speed control and Taunt to prevent opposing setup. Its enormous base 164 Attack gives Mega Tyranitar freedom to invest EVs defensively and still OHKO and 2HKO many Pokemon.

[SET]
Rock Tomb + Taunt (Tyranitar-Mega) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 240 HP / 48 Atk / 84 SpD / 136 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Tomb
- Taunt
- Fire Punch
- Crunch / Earthquake

[SET COMMENTS]
Set Description
========

Rock Tomb simultaneously damages and slows down foes like Mega Charizard X and Kyurem-B, acting as a reliable 2HKO move, and allows Mega Tyranitar to outspeed Taunt users like Mew in order to break their stall. Taunt shuts down Substitute + Leech Seed strategies from Whimsicott, Jumpluff, and Mega Venusaur, unless the former has Protect and Taunt too. Fire Punch breaks through Genesect and Ferrothorn. Crunch is a spammable STAB move that makes quick work of Ghost- and Psychic-types like Aegislash, Mega Gengar, Meloetta, Mew, Victini, Jirachi, Deoxys-S, Mega Latias, and Mega Latios. Alternatively, Earthquake improves Mega Tyranitar's matchups against Magnezone and Heatran.

EVs
========

136 Speed EVs let Mega Tyranitar outspeed non-Choice Scarf Kyurem-B after Rock Tomb. 84 Special Defense EVs ensure Genesect and Porygon-Z get an Attack boost from Download instead of Special Attack before Tyranitar Mega Evolves. This special bulk also lets Mega Tyranitar survive Focus Blast from Timid Mega Gengar and Timid Choice Scarf Hoopa-U, as well as Hydro Cannon from Timid Choice Specs Greninja. 240 HP EVs give Mega Tyranitar the best odds against Kyurem-B — using Rock Tomb twice beats any variant reliably except Adamant Choice Scarf — while allowing Mega Tyranitar to tank four Seismic Tosses from Chansey and similar walls. 48 Attack EVs and an Adamant nature help Mega Tyranitar find essential OHKOs and 2HKOs versus Genesect, Mega Charizard X, and Kyurem-B.

Strategy & Support
========

Rock Tomb lets Mega Tyranitar outspeed the majority of the unboosted metagame on turn 2 of a battle. Fire Punch is a good first move to use against Timid Greninja, since Mega Tyranitar will OHKO after it uses Grass Knot. If Greninja uses Hydro Cannon, Mega Tyranitar can use Crunch on the recharge turn. Using Taunt on turn 1 versus stall Pokemon is generally best unless they, like Deoxys-S and Kee Berry Mew, also carry Taunt. In this case, Mega Tyranitar should slow them down with Rock Tomb first, then use Taunt once their Taunt wears off, which can force Struggle or at least prevent stalling tactics. Steel-, Fairy-, and Water-types are all very popular in the metagame; it's important to include checks to each alongside Mega Tyranitar. Mega Mawile, Mega Metagross, and Aegislash help cover Mega Tyranitar's crippling Fighting weakness. In return, Mega Tyranitar beats Mega Charizard X, Heatran, Choice Specs Genesect, Ferrothorn, Babiri Berry Whimsicott, and Victini. Mega Gardevoir and Togekiss are excellent checks to most Fighting-types, covering Mega Tyranitar's biggest weakness, and deal with Mega Gyarados. In return, Mega Tyranitar covers Mega Charizard X, Kyurem-B, Magnezone, and Victini.

[SET]
Defensive Dragon Dance (Tyranitar-Mega) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 200 HP / 44 Atk / 252 Def / 12 Spe
Impish Nature
- Rock Tomb
- Dragon Dance
- Low Kick
- Crunch

[SET COMMENTS]
Set Description
========

Rock Tomb slows down Gyarados and forces it to eventually Mega Evolve, which makes Low Kick super effective. It's also useful versus Mew, Mega Charizard X, Kyurem-B, and most other Pokemon that outspeed Mega Tyranitar. Low Kick 2HKOes Magnezone and makes quick work of Rock Tomb-chipped Mega Gyarados once Dragon Dance neutralizes the Intimidate Attack drop. Crunch is a stronger STAB move and nails threats like Aegislash, Mega Gengar, and Jirachi.

EVs
========

200 HP EVs and 252 Defense EVs with an Impish nature give Mega Tyranitar the best odds against Gyarados, as it survives two Waterfalls. 44 Attack EVs let Mega Tyranitar OHKO Mega Gyarados with Low Kick after Rock Tomb, Dragon Dance, and sand chip damage. 12 Speed EVs, after Rock Tomb and Dragon Dance, outspeed any foe invested to outspeed Jolly Mega Lopunny.

Strategy & Support
========

Against Gyarados, Mega Tyranitar should use Rock Tomb first to slow it down and force an eventual Mega Evolution. Dragon Dance on the second turn lets it outspeed Mega Gyarados and neutralize the Attack drop from Intimidate. Low Kick will then KO it. Be sure to include checks to Greninja and Focus Blast users on your team, since Impish Mega Tyranitar can't withstand their attacks. Specially defensive Mega Metagross, specially defensive Mega Charizard X, and Choice Scarf users like Victini, Porygon-Z, Dragonite, and Haxorus are all good teammates, since they either outspeed or survive hits from Choice Specs Greninja and encourage an opposing Mega Gyarados pick.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Stone Edge is generally not worth using over Rock Tomb, since it sacrifices utility and accuracy, but using both moves on the same set can be surprisingly effective, since Stone Edge deals heavy damage and can threaten walls with critical hits. Screech can bypass walls like Counter Chansey. Counter is a great option in many cases, since Mega Tyranitar can survive most physical attacks, even from Pokemon like Mega Gyarados and Choice Band Garchomp. Ice Beam can 2HKO Donphan and Golem without fear of Counter. 248 HP and 68 Defense EVs let Mega Tyranitar survive Choice Band-boosted Earthquake from both. Avalanche OHKOes Garchomp, but 200 HP and 164 Defense EVs are required to survive both Jolly Choice Band-boosted Earthquake and Rough Skin damage. Earthquake with 144 Attack EVs and an Adamant nature 2HKOes specially defensive Mega Mawile. Dragon Dance and Iron Head give Mega Tyranitar a winning matchup versus Magnet Rise Mega Diancie.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: A 4x effective STAB Fighting-type move from a Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny, Mega Heracross, Sawk, Conkeldurr, or Terrakion is guaranteed to OHKO Mega Tyranitar.

**Fairy-types**: Mega Gardevoir, Mega Altaria, Mega Mawile, Sylveon, and Clefable can absorb hits from Mega Tyranitar and often quickly OHKO or 2HKO either set with STAB moves.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-types can take hits from Mega Tyranitar and KO it with their super effective STAB moves. Manaphy, Azumarill, Mega Blastoise, and Taunt Torrent Greninja will all generally come out ahead versus Mega Tyranitar.

**Grass-types**: Grass-types without a 4x Fire weakness can make quick work of Mega Tyranitar. Mega Venusaur and Serperior can beat it easily with HP investment and their choice of offensive Grass-type attacks. Whimsicott's Leech Seed and Substitute can effectively stall Mega Tyranitar, but against Taunt sets, Whimsicott uses Protect to scout the Taunt and then must block with its own.

**Mega Metagross**: Despite a weakness to Crunch, Mega Metagross can outspeed Mega Tyranitar, absorb any of its attacks with its 150 base Defense, and threaten to OHKO or 2HKO with Tough Claws-boosted Hammer Arm and Bullet Punch.

Hello n_n
+ is add
- is remove

Overview.
+ I'd just say Rock / Dark typing at the beginning.
+ I'd reword and add two sections talking about the importance of the type, defensively: tanks normal-type pokemon like PZ and fire-type moves from Tini and offensively as you said zard x, zard y, kyub, mew to name a few.
- I mean crunch isn't really relevant to defense drop since its rng
+Examples of things Spdf can bulk
+Mention that fairy, steel, and water are popular in the metagame.

Set Description: FAST MEGA TTAR
+Mention things Rock Tomb slows down
+Mention Mega Venusaur in taunt

EVs:
+Mention what Bulky Dragons

S&S:
-Second point is fluff

+You need to write TWO strategy and support, one for each set.
+ONLY OO and Checks and Counters are written once. OO Should be moved down, but above checks and counters.
Write these so I can check the second set, tag again.

Here I go again!!

Overview:
Forgot to remove Crunch, it's not really a reliable way to drop defense
I mean Tyranitar doesn't really lose to coverage fairy and stuff, it loses if the opposing pokemon gets STAB from them, so IDK how to reword that. Maybe you can mention that its typing leaves it weak against prominent Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon, and more.

Set Description:
Give examples of Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokemon that Ttar beat w/ Crunch that it can't beat w/out it.

Strategy & Support:
Wait how does Tyranitar checks relevant steel-types, it's iffy vs Metagross and love vs maw. + the teammates you mentioned all lose to both of these (fairy, flying...) I'd suggest putting Zard X or Y as a singular good teammate.

SET 2:
Just remove crunch>eq cause I don't see EQ slashed, just say what crunch do on this set. I'd mention what Rock Tomb do again as it can help people figure out that you check gyarados + other pokemon w/ that set and not only dos.

EVs:
Add KOs w/ Low Kick
Speed creep max speed jolly lopunny or what?

Strategy & Support:
Either add counter as a Slash or add it in OO.
Add more here just like set 1, it needs to be as detailed specially when talking about teammates.

OO:
Mention why RT+SE is effective
Mention which move is good as OO on which set?

C&C:
Taunt ttar can beat tauntless torrent greninja in general.
Grass-types, Venu loses to ttar most of the time if ttar runs taunt, don't mention SM whims vs ttar only ORAS.
Mention metagross-mega?

If you have a question DM me on discord qc 1/2 after this.

Mega Tyranitar is the most powerful Rock type in ORAS 1v1. Its huge natural bulk, extensive movepool, and Rock / Dark typing can reliably counter some of the top threats in the metagame such as Charizard and Kyurem-Black. Huge defensive stats and strong defensive typing let Mega Tyranitar bulk hits from powerful attackers like Porygon-Z, Victini, Kyurem-Black, Aegislash, and Timid Specs Greninja. Excellent utility with Rock Tomb and Dragon Dance for speed control and Taunt to prevent opposing setup. Sand Stream increases Tyranitar's Special Defense enough to take on opposing super-effective hits with proper investment. Enormous base 164 Attack gives Mega Tyranitar freedom to EV defensively and still find KOs. Weak to Ground, Water, Fairy, Steel, and Fighting-type Pokemon. (I'm not gp but think this section can flow better)

Set Description
========

Rock Tomb allows Mega Tyranitar to simultaneously damage and slow down foes like Charizard and Kyurem-Black, acting as a reliable 2-hit KO move. It also allows Mega Tyranitar to outspeed Taunt users like Mew in order to break their stall. Taunt shuts down Leech Seed + Substitute strategies from Whimsicott, Jumpluff, and Mega Venusaur. Fire Punch breaks through 4x weaknesses like Genesect and Ferrothorn. Crunch is a powerful and spammable STAB that makes quick work of Ghost and Psychic types like Aegislash, Mega Gengar, Meloetta, Mew, Victini, Jirachi, Deoxys-Speed, Mega Latias and Latios. Alternatively, Earthquake improves Mega Tyranitar’s matchups with Magnezone and Heatran.

EVs
========

136 Speed lets Mega Tyranitar outspeed non-scarfed base 95s like Kyurem-Black after Rock Tomb. 84 SpD ensures Genesect and Porygon-Z Download an Attack boost instead of Special Attack when they come out versus Tyranitar's non-mega form. This special bulk also lets Mega Tyranitar absorb Focus Blast from Timid Mega Gengar and Timid Scarf Hoopa-Unbound, as well as Hydro Cannon from Timid Choice Specs Greninja. 240 HP gives Tyranitar the best odds against Kyurem-Black, Rock Tombing twice beats any variant reliably except Adamant Scarf. This HP investment also allows M-Tyranitar to tank 4 Seismic Tosses from Chansey and similar walls. 48 Attack EVs and an Adamant nature help Tyranitar find essential 1- and 2-hit KOs versus Genesect, Charizard-X, and Kyurem-Black.

Strategy & Support

Rock Tomb lets you outspeed the majority of the unboosted meta on turn two of a battle. Fire Punch is a good first move to use against Timid Greninja since you will KO them after Grass Knot. If they Hydro Cannon, you can use the recharge turn to Crunch. Using Taunt on turn one versus stall is generally the best option unless the stall Pokemon is also carrying Taunt, like Deoxys-Speed or Kee Berry Mew. In this case, you should slow the faster Pokemon down with Rock Tomb first, then Taunt once your Taunt wears off. You can force Struggle or at least prevent healing or protection moves as you knock them out. Steel, Fairy, and Water are all very popular types in the metagame, it's important to include checks to each of them on a team with Mega Tyranitar. Mega Mawile, Mega Metagross, and Aegislash are three Steel types that help cover Tyranitar's crippling Fighting weakness. In return, Mega Tyranitar beats both Charizards, Heatran, Choice Specs Genesect, Ferrothorn, Babiri Whimsicott, and Victini. Mega Charizard-Y and Togekiss are excellent checks to most Fighting types, covering Mega Tyranitar’s biggest type weakness and dealing with Mega Gyarados. In return, Mega Tyranitar covers Mega Charizard-X, Kyurem-Black, Magnezone, and Victini.

Set Description

Rock Tomb slows down non-Mega Gyarados and forces an eventual Mega Evolution. It's also useful vs Mew, Charizard-X, Kyurem-Black, and most other Pokemon that outspeed Mega Tyranitar. Dragon Dance increases Mega Tyranitar's speed and powers up Attack for the rest of the battle. Low Kick 2HKOs Magnezone and makes quick work of Rock Tomb chipped Mega Gyarados once Intimidate's Attack drop is neutralized. Crunch is used as a high-powered STAB against threats like Aegislash, Mega Gengar, and Jirachi.

EVs
========

200 HP and 252 Defense with an Impish nature give Mega Tyranitar the best survival odds against Mega and non-Mega Gyarados, surviving 2 Waterfalls.
44 Attack lets Mega Tyranitar KO Mega Gyarados with Low Kick at +0 after Rock Tomb, Dragon Dance, and Sandstorm chip.
12 Spe lets Mega Tyranitar outspeed anything trying to speed creep Jolly Mega Lopunny after Rock Tomb and Dragon Dance.

Strategy & Support
========

Against Gyarados, Rock Tomb first to slow it down and force an eventual Mega Evolution. Dragon Dance turn 2 will let you outspeed Mega Gyarados at +0 Speed and neutralize the attack drop from Intimidate. Low Kick at +0 Attack with 120 base power will then KO Mega Gyarados.
Be sure to include checks to Greninja and Focus Blast users on your team since Impish Mega Tyranitar is unable to withstand their attacks.
Specially defensive Mega Metagross, specially defensive Charizard X, and Choice Scarf users like Victini and Porygon-Z (i would say bulky charizard y and a scarf dragon like dragonite or haxorus instead of spdef zardx and scarf vict) are all good teammates for Impish Mega Tyranitar since they outspeed or survive hits from Choice Specs Greninja and encourage an opposing Mega Gyarados pick.

Requires 200 HP and 164 Def so you don't KO yourself on Rough Skin after surviving Jolly Band Earthquake. Earthquake with 144 Attack investment and an Adamant Nature lets Mega Tyranitar 2hko specially defensive Mega Mawile. Iron Head combined with Dragon Dance gives Tyranitar a winning matchup vs Magnet Rise Mega Diancie.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting types**: A 4x super effective High Jump Kick, Close Combat, or Hammer Arm coming from a Fighting type is guaranteed to take out Mega Tyranitar before it can put up a fight. Mega Lopunny, Mega Heracross, Sawk, Conkeldurr, and Terrakion are all good options.

**Fairy types**: Mega Gardevoir, Mega Altaria, Mega Mawile, Sylveon, and Clefable can absorb hits from Tyranitar and quickly KO it with Fairy STABs regardless of Mega Tyranitar's defensive investment.

**Water types**: Bulky Waters can take hits from Tyranitar and threaten to knock it out with their super-effective STABs. Manaphy, Azumarill, Keldeo (keldeo unmon, i wouldnt mention), Mega Blastoise, and Taunt Torrent Greninja will all generally come out ahead versus Mega Tyranitar.

**Grass types**: Grass types without a 4x Fire weakness can make quick work of Mega Tyranitar. Whimsicott's Leech Seed and Substitute can effectively stall Mega Tyranitar provided Whimsicott Protect scouts Mega Tyranitar’s potential Taunt and blocks with its own.

**Mega Metagross**: Despite a type weakness to Crunch, Mega Metagross is able to outspeed Mega Tyranitar, absorb any of its attacks with 150 base defense, and threaten to 1- or 2-hit KO with Tough Claws boosted Hammer Arm and Bullet Punch.

Whimsicott's Leech Seed and Substitute can effectively stall Mega Tyranitar, but against Taunt sets, Whimsicott uses Protect to scout the Taunt and then must block with its own.

(Whimsicott does not technically need Protect to win if it Taunts turn 1, but the safest option is to scout Mega Tyranitar's Taunt with Protect.)

Rock Tomb lets Mega Tyranitar outspeed the majority of the unboosted metagame on turn two 2 of a battle. Fire Punch is a good first move to use against Timid Greninja, since Mega Tyranitar will OHKO after it uses Grass Knot. If Greninja uses Hydro Cannon, Mega Tyranitar can use Crunch on the recharge turn. Using Taunt on turn 1 one versus stall Pokemon is generally best unless they, like Deoxys-S and Kee Berry Mew, also carry Taunt.

Set Description
========

EVs
========

(made this all one paragraph)

Strategy & Support
========

(you just said this in the evs seciton - might be worth removing one mention of this) Be sure to include checks to Greninja and Focus Blast users on your team, since Impish Mega Tyranitar can't withstand their attacks.

Other Options
=============

===================

**Fighting-types**: A 4x effective (RC) STAB Fightying-type move from a Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny, Mega Heracross, Sawk, Conkeldurr, or Terrakion (RC) is guaranteed to OHKO Mega Tyranitar.

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Tyranitar is the most powerful Rock-type in ORAS 1v1. Its huge natural bulk, defensive typing, Special Defense boost from sand, and extensive movepool let it reliably counter some of the top threats in the metagame, such as Charizard (do you mean Mega Charizard X here? just saying charizard implies regular), Porygon-Z, Victini, Kyurem-B, Aegislash, and Timid Choice Specs Greninja.

[SET]
name: FAST MEGA TYRANITAR Rock Tomb (i'd change set name here - you don't need the pokemon's name in it and its hard to call it "fast" when its running 136 speed evs - feel free to change to something more descriptive)
move 1: Rock Tomb
move 2: Taunt
move 3: Fire Punch
move 4: Crunch / Earthquake
item: Tyranitarite

evs: 240 HP / 48 Atk / 84 SpD / 136 Spe

Set Description

Rock Tomb simultaneously damages and slows down foes like Charizard (same as overview comment) and Kyurem-B, acting as a reliable 2HKO move, and allows Mega Tyranitar to outspeed Taunt users like Mew in order to break their stall. Taunt shuts down Substitute + Leech Seed + Substitute strategies from Whimsicott, Jumpluff, and Mega Venusaur, unless the former has Protect and Taunt too. Alternatively, Earthquake improves Mega Tyranitar's matchups with against Magnezone and Heatran.

EVs
========

136 Speed EVs let Mega Tyranitar outspeed non-Choice Scarf Kyurem-B after Rock Tomb. 84 Special Defense EVs ensure Genesect and Porygon-Z get an Attack boost from Download instead of Special Attack before Tyranitar Mega Evolves. This special bulk also lets Mega Tyranitar survive Focus Blast from Timid Mega Gengar and Timid Scarf Hoopa-U, as well as Hydro Cannon from Timid Choice Specs Greninja. 240 HP EVs give Mega Tyranitar the best odds against Kyurem-B—using Rock Tomb twice beats any variant reliably except Adamant Choice Scarf—while allowing Mega Tyranitar to tank four Seismic Tosses from Chansey and similar walls. 48 Attack EVs and an Adamant nature help Mega Tyranitar find essential OHKOs and 2HKOs versus Genesect, Mega Charizard X, and Kyurem-B.
