Weavile @ Life Orb

Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Tailwind

Hi everyone, this is a hyper offensive core that takes advantages of these mons' raw power, speed, priorities and good movepool to intimidate lead mons, take a good chunk/KO unsuspecting "checks", contain runaway boosters or clean up late game. As you can see, Latios takes cares of the SR problem and can handle steel quite well with EQ for Heatran and HP fire for those Mega Scizors and Ferrothorns. Draco is the main damage dealer here. Weavile preys on those pesy x4 weak to ice mons such and Landrous-T and Dragonite while also carrying capable weapons to down fairies and heavy fight weak mons such as Tyranitar with Knock off always a safe option. Talonflame completes the monster trio by doing what he does best, Bird Spamming such that even Landrous-T with slight prior damage cannot switch in more than twice and severly punishing switch ins.

As you can tell from now, this core loves a water type pokemon such as Azumarill, Volcanian or Keldeo and pokemon that can boost and take advantage of their relentless attacks.

"Opposites attract"

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Flamethrower

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Flare Blitz
- Outrage

What happens when you add an S-Tier mon to one of the best megas around? Trouble, and make it double! Boosting Clefable is no stranger to these parts, using it's new gifts to set up and sweep paying no attn to any status or entry hazards. However, our cute friend does not like steels, let alone magma freaks such as Heatran, and this is where Charizard X comes into play. Clefable handles the Dragons, Charizard X throws the steels into the trash bin, one sweeps, the other supports, nice eh? EQ is a nice lure movement against Heatran and saves you the trouble of getting locked/unnecessary self harm against Tyranitar, Volcanian, etc. Ofc the sets themselves are not set in stone, feel free to switch and adjust as your team needs.

Fast, hard hitting mons such as Talonflame could spell trouble, a scarfer type with intimidate or rock typing would do wonders here. SR is also a concern for pre-post mevo Charizard so make sure you have rapid spin/defog as well.

So i after taking a few months break (yes that long) from building ive decided to post a core!

Specs Kyurem + Bulky Mega scizor

+

This has been a really fun core to use recently. Specs kyurem has become slightly more noticed recently and i decided to build with it. Specs kyurem is great at weakening pokemon and dents a large majority of the metagame with stab ice beam alone. Capable of safely 2hkoing clefable, (something which kyu-b cant do) as well as doing massive damage to normal ice resists such as keldeo. Hell even Azumarill takes almost 50% from ice beam. With that said Kyurem struggles to deal with pokemon faster then itself such as the latis and is weak to a ton of common priority moves. For this reason i decided to pair kyurem with a bulky mega scizor to form a solid core. Not only does ice/dragon+Steel/bug have great defensive synergy with scizor handling faster dragons and fairy types but it also likes massive holes dented in the opposing side to make up for its loss of power. Some other benefits are that kyurem removes fat ground types such as landorus which very commonly carry SD and Hp fire landot is seeing some usage recently as a lure just for scizor/ferro so having kyurem remove them is a great boon for scizor while it takes on the things that threaten kyurem. Good teammates to this core include pokemon that can take on heatran and the zards. Defensive starmie and keldeo work well for this reason because they both take on heatran. On the other hand Rocky helmet landot and latios take on zard-x and zard-y respectively. Latios also can take on volcanion to a extent while scizor handes Weavile, bisharp and tyranitar while providing great offensive synergy with kyurem. Nasty plot thundy-t also works well here due to its great speed tier and power can clean after kyurem has punched enough holes. Last stealth rock clefable can be a useful partner for setting rocks up vs stall which will help kyurem in the long run thanks to the amount of offensive pressure and switches it can cause. Threats to this core include fire types like mentioned above, Hp fire Mega Diancie, Hp fire Latios and Mag+mon that likes scizor gone cores are also threats. Enjoy!

Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Ice Beam
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Focus Blast
- Earth Power

Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 44 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Notes: focus blast can be run over Hp fire if you decide to use Magnezone with this core.

Offence core:

Alakazam-Mega @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Protect

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Fire Blast

They goes on so well. Zam needs rock and phasing support to put things into OHKO range. Garchomp can provide that.

Zam need something to take care on Bisharp and Scizor. Garchomp is perfect in that role.

Zam doesn't want to fight with scarfers. Most scarfers are psychical (and you can scout for uturn with protect)

Garchomp doesn't want strong special attackers around. Zam can beat any special attacker in tier, including Latios, Keldeo, Starime, Torn-T.

Weavile kills Garchomp while Zam is among offensive checks to Weavile.

Loppuny and Medi is huge problem for Garchomp. Zam can easily take care of both.

Garchomp don't take sand well. Zam can revenge kill Drill and OHKO Ttar.

Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
So whilst this may just seem like two of the best Pokemon in OU thrown into a core together, there's actually a surprising amount of synergy here which makes this a pretty excellent core for bulky offensive builds. HP Ice Landorus-T is a fantastic partner for Mega Charizard X, reliably luring and weakening opposing Landorus-T which can pave the way for Charizard to sweep at a later stage in the game. Landorus also sets up Stealth Rock, and checks a variety of threatening Ground- and Rock-types such as Sand Rush Excadrill, Garchomp, Terrakion, and Tyranitar. In return, Mega Charizard X covers Landorus against some the more frustrating Pokemon for it to deal with, namely problematic Steel-types such as Defensive Swords Dance Mega Scizor or Spikes Skarmory, which can both use Landorus as setup fodder in one way or another, as well as just generally being a very threatening wincon that thrives with the support that Landorus provides for it.
Sableye-Mega @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Foul Play / Knock Off
- Fake Out
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover

Dugtrio @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 20 HP
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Reversal
- Screech
I was honestly pretty surprised not to find this one in there. Mega Sableye + Dugtrio has been a popular core for a variety of stall and semistall archetypes for a lengthy period of time now. Thanks to its Arena Trap ability Dugtrio is a fantastic supportive partner for Mega Sableye, being able to trap and remove problematic Pokemon for Mega Sableye such as Heatran and Mega Diancie. Dugtrio's job at trapping is made significantly easier by Mega Sableye's Magic Bounce, which often allows it to keep entry hazards off of Dugtrio's side, allowing it to, more often than not, utilise its Focus Sash. Screech has been a popular 4th moveslot on Dugtrio over recent times, and also gives Dugtrio the potential to trap and remove Clefable, which only works to better cement it as a good partner for Mega Sableye.

Cobalion @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 24 HP / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash Cannon
- Focus Blast
- Substitute
- Calm Mind

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
This is just recycling an old core I posted in the core building thread, but Calm Mind Cobalion + Rotom-W is a really cool core. Rotom-W is great support for a setup variant of Cobalion such as this, as it lures in Pokemon such as Tangrowth, Amoonguss, Ferrothorn, and Clefable: Pokemon that are all easy setup fodder for Cobalion. This coupled with Rotom's ability to also act as a reliable answer to some of the bigger threats to Cobalion such as Sand Rush Excadrill, Choice Scarf Landorus, or Talonflame is what makes this core so effective to use.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 240 HP / 72 SpD / 196 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Protect

Tyranitar @ Chople Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Stealth Rock
In my opinion this is by far the most interesting of the four cores I've listed. VinCune is a really cool set that I've actually been trying out a bunch recently (if you don't know what it is or what it does, feel free to check out the post that was written about it here), and I've found Adamant, Chople Berry Tyranitar to be an excellent partner. Adamant Tyranitar pressures or Pursuit traps a number of problematic Pokemon for Suicune such as the the likes of Latios, Starmie, Mega Manectric, Kyurem-B, and Thundurus. An Adamant nature further aids Tyranitar's ability to support Suicune as it allows it to sufficiently threaten Clefable 252+ Atk Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 172 Def Clefable: 193-228 (48.9 - 57.8%) -- 56.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery as well as a number of other somewhat troubling defensive Pokemon such as Calm Mind Slowbro 252+ Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Slowbro: 204-240 (51.7 - 60.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage and Leftovers recovery. The utility of this Suicune set allows it to reliably beat Steel- or Grass-types such as Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn and Tangrowth, whilst also throwing out Scalds to cripple bulky Waters such as Rotom-W, all thing that Tyranitar appreciates. Both Choice Band and Choice Scarf Tyranitar are also viable choices instead of the offensive Chople set that I've listed here, especially if you don't require Tyranitar to act as your Stealth Rock user. Choice Band is a slightly more reliable Pursuit trapper of bulkier Pokemon such as Slowking and Slowbro, whilst also not having to worry about damage rolls when hitting Clefable with Stone Edge. Conversely, Choice Scarf Tyranitar works better against more offensive teams, more reliably dealing with Starmie, Gengar, Thundurus, and Kyurem-B.

Update time~ The cores in bullets below are being added to the archive. Some cores were skipped because they were already in the archive, such as Weavile + Bisharp. There are a few other cores we like and feel would be good to add after some small modifications, too. I will be contacting the posters of these cores soon to discuss some possible changes to their cores and then update the archive accordingly.
  • by dmw (link) - Straightforward core. Rotom-W and Heatran are super common together and provide near unrivaled utility for the teams they are on. They compress various roles between one another, contributing SR and an answer to notable threats like Mega Scizor, Talon, Clefable, and Exca, respectively. Bringing so much to the table in only two slots gives plenty of flexibility and breathing room for the remainder of the team. All in all, these two do a good job gluing together many teams used nowadays. The core's popularity speaks for itself and earns a position in the archive as such.
  • by BlazeLatias (link)- The archive lacks a core with Specs Kyurem. It's been receiving some attention lately, and this core is a good one to add to reflect this. Kyurem is very powerful, possesses a beautiful STAB combination, and exploits the popularity of Pokemon like Lando-T, Rotom-W, and so on. It's also rather bulky and sports valuable resistances to types like Water, Electric, and Grass. Because of this, there are several opportunities for Kyurem to come in and nuke something afterwards. Mega Scizor facilitates this process, packing U-turn to bring Kyurem in for free versus common switch-ins like Lando-T, Skarm, and many more. In addition, Mega Scizor checks various Pokemon Kyurem is threatened by, examples being Mega Diancie, Mega Gross, etc. The core has seen success on teams like Posho's, which can be found here and had a good run during OLT.
  • by Seth_ (link) - Mega Zam has issues with Pokemon like Mega Scizor and Bisharp, both of which Chomp checks well. Mega Zam also often attracts U-turners like Lando-T and Jirachi to come in. Priority in general is also annoying. Chomp can punish all of this with Rocky + Rough Skin residual damage, helping to wear certain threats down through the course of a match for Mega Zam. All in all, Chomp does a nice job supporting its partner here, and the synergy they share is a good example of how a core works together to accomplish certain goals.
  • by False. (link) - Another core with nice synergy. HP Ice Lando-T helps lure and weaken opposing ones. This goes a long way in helping Char-X accomplish a sweep after setting up a DD. Aside from this, Lando-T also helps Char-X by providing SR and keeping Pokemon like Exca, Terrak, and Tar in check.
  • by False. (link) - This core needs no introduction, being seen on teams like Wonder Trio and the stall team roaming around OLT this season (Mega Sableye, Dugtrio, Zapdos, Skarmory, Suicune, Clefable). The way the core works is simple. Mega Sableye helps block hazards to preserve Dugtrio's Sash. In return, Dugtrio can trap Pokemon like Heatran, Mega Diancie, and several other threats Mega Sab appreciates having removed. This core has been central to the success of some of ORAS OU's most known teams and deserves a place in the archive.
  • by False. (link) - Sub + Protect Suicune is a recent and effective innovation, originally posted here by Vinc2612. It's been receiving a good amount of attention lately and is a very potent threat. Basically, this particular Suicune aims to Pressure + PP stall regular checks like Amoonguss and Ferrothorn, all while still functioning as a win condition with CM. Tyranitar supports Suicune by trapping nuisances like Mega Manectric, Latios, and several other threats. After these Pokemon have been trapped by Tyranitar, the way is paved for Suicune to do its thing more comfortably. Overall, this core has great synergy and showcases a set that's been on the rise since its introduction.
Contributing some cores myself below:

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Iron Head
- Toxic
- Fire Punch

Lopunny-Mega @ Lopunnite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Ice Punch
- Fake Out
Sub Toxic Jirachi lures in and poisons Pokemon like Hippowdon, Slowbro, Lando-T, and so on. With these Pokemon poisoned, they are worn down more quickly, making them easier for Mega Lopunny to ultimately break through. In addition to this, Jirachi does a good job exploiting other Mega Lop checks like Clefable, Mew, and Amoonguss by setting up a Sub on them and proceeding from there. Aside from benefiting from Jirachi's ability to steadily wear down several Pokemon, Mega Lop helps by checking Pokemon like Weavile and Bisharp. It's also able to threaten Jirachi's #1 nemesis: Heatran. Similarly to how Jirachi can weaken Ground-types via poison damage and flinches, Mega Lop can do the same for its partner by using Ice Punch to chip down Lando-T and Chomp. As far as EVs on Jirachi go, max HP prevents Seismic Toss from breaking your Sub and provides you with solid bulk. The speed make you faster than Kyurem-B and neutral base 100s like Mega Cham. The speed also means you are faster than WoW Talon, allowing you to use Sub / Toxic before they can harm you.

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Flash Cannon

Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
Specs Hydreigon is something else people have been recognizing as strong given its limited number of switch ins. Dark STAB is insanely good offensively after all, especially when backed by Draco Meteor and other coverage moves to threaten resists. One of the main thing Hydreigon likes is the opportunity to come in for free. Mega Scizor provides this with U-turn, bringing Hydreigon in versus common switch ins like Skarm, Rotom-W, Heatran, and defensive Lando-T. From there, Hydreigon can threaten to nuke something and apply serious offensive pressure on the other team. As with any wall breaker + sweeper core, SD Mega Scizor can always potentially clean up the scraps after Hydreigon has softened up the opposing team. Mega Scizor is also helpful as a partner because it's a good check to several Pokemon Hydreigon dislikes running into, examples being Weavile, Clefable, Mega Diancie, Mega Lop, and more.

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Bolt
- Earth Power
- Roost

Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Protect
Strong offensive core, seen on teams like cosine180's here. Mega Diancie is bothered by defensive threats like Amoonguss and Mega Venu, both of which Kyurem-B has no trouble breaking through. Kyurem-B is also a useful partner because it's able to threaten many threats Mega Diancie is struck by super effectively and unable to kill in one blow, examples being Rotom-W, Lando-T, Hippo, Slowbro, and Manaphy. In return for the help, Mega Diancie gives back by providing some hazard control with Magic Bounce. This is helpful in preventing SR setters like Heatran from laying down the rocks Kyurem-B dislikes so much. Another thing worth mentioning is how these two can offensively pressure Steel-types for one another. For example, Kyurem-B muscles through Skarm for Mega Diancie and can use Earth Power to deal a good sized blow to Jirachi. Mega Diancie can run HP Fire to pressure Ferro and Mega Scizor, two annoying Pokemon for Kyurem-B. Depending on the route you're taking with building around these two, this core is open for customization. For instance, Clefable can be a headache for this core. To tackle this, Kyurem-B can viably use Iron Head to lure in and weaken Clefable for its partner. Likewise, Mega Diancie can do something similar by investing in max Attack to pressure mixed Clefable more easily for Kyurem-B.

Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast / Hidden Power Fire

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Defog
- Roost
- Psyshock / Surf / Hidden Power Fire
Specs Kyurem breaks through nearly all of Latios' checks. For example, Specs Ice Beam is a clean 2HKO on Ferrothorn, SpD Skarmory, and Clefable. Kyurem's other coverage moves (Earth Power, HP Fire, and Focus) can also nail other Latios checks like Jirachi, Mega Gross, and Tar, who also all take a good chunk from your STABs alone. Once Kyurem has killed or weakened these Pokemon, Latios has an easier time doing its thing or picking them off by itself. Aside from this, Latios supports its partner here by using Defog to remove SR, which otherwise limits Kyurem's opportunities to switch in and wall break.

Duggy cores incoming. Sorry for the mostly limited descriptions, but yeah these cores are extremely self explanitory and basically boil down to the same kinds of things so I don't see the need to be overly detailed with these:

Dugtrio @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Screech
- Memento / Stealth Rock

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast / Flash Cannon
- U-turn
If you've not heard of or seen this core yet you are living under a rock. With Dugtrio being able to trap and deal with troublesome Pokémon like Chansey, Mega Diancie and Clefable for Hydreigon, it is almost natural that this duo would pair well together. Like, I'd explain more but honestly that is how the core functions and it's mostly self-explanitory honestly. Hydreigon runs U-turn>Flash Cannon to bait stuff in and trap them with Dugtrio.

Dugtrio @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Screech
- Memento / Stealth Rock

Latios @ Choice Specs / Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psychic / Psyshock
- Surf / Thunderbolt / Defog
- Roost / Defog / Hidden Power Fire / Sleep Talk
Same kind of deal as Duggy+Hydreigon. Dugtrio traps Chansey, Tyranitar, Mega Diancie, Heatran, Clefable etc. for Latios, Latios blasts shit back with it's good STABs, good coverage and high firepower. That said, it lacks the access to U-turn that Hydreigon has, so it needs to be a big more aggressive and should use it's chosen coverage wisely.

Dugtrio @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Screech
- Memento / Stealth Rock

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Roost
Yet another case of the same concept. Dugtrio traps Chansey, Tyranitar, Heatran etc. for Charizard, Charizard blasts anything else with it's disgustingly strong STABs. Note that Latios beats this core one-on-one, but this is easily worn down anyway so I wouldn't get too hung up on it. Defog/spin support is mandatory here 'cause Dugtrio wants to retain it's sash wherever possible while Charizard is 4x weak.

Dugtrio @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Screech
- Memento / Stealth Rock

Volcarona @ Lum Berry / Passho Berry / Coba Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Bug Buzz
- Giga Drain / Hidden Power [Rock]
Dugtrio traps Chansey, Heatran etc. for Volcarona and it also uses Memento to provide setup opportunities. Passho eases the Azumarill and Crawdaunt matchups whereas Coba Berry+HP Rock does a nice job of easing the Talonflame matchup faced by this core, although generally speaking Lum Berry is better for it's ability to protect it from prankster T-wave or to provide setup opportunities vs. Toxic users. From here, Volcarona sets up Quiver Dance and swiftly tears teams apart. Fiery Dance is also of note for it's higher accuracy and ability to snowball Volcarona's SpA stat, but be aware that the power drop is extremely noticeable when it doesn't snowball (165 BP vs. 120 BP) and as such makes it more dependent on the opposing team being sufficiently worn down before allowing Volcarona to sweep, and if you want a reliable STAB you still have Bug Buzz in the back anyway which should be your primary cleaning tool.

Alakazam-Mega Calm Mind + Ferrothorn Choice Band (Replays will be added later)

So yeah, this could be qualified of "stupid geemick set" but i will explain why that's false. Alakazam-Mega is stupidly good against balanced, especially Calm Mind set. The common answer to Zam-Mega(and almost the only) is the broken mon' Sableye-Mega. And it's here Choice Band Ferrothorn comes because it is able to lure Sableye-Mega (252+ Atk Choice Band Ferrothorn Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 112 Def Mega Sableye: 195-229 (64.1 - 75.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO). Ferro can also chip damage Revenge Killer of Zam like Lando-T Scarf or Priority users and can be used as Set-up fodder for Zam which can set-ups on Magnezone / Heatran. The core really needs answer to Fire (Talonflame, Both Zard Etc..), and to Physicall Attackers (Excadrill Life Orb, Scizor-Mega, Lopunny-Mega, Gliscor Etc..) so Heatran / Landorus Phys Def / Keldeo / Slowbro / Rotom etc... Fits well. Hope you have liked. :p

Alakazam-Mega @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Ferrothorn @ Choice Band

EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD

Hello there, i will admit the fact that i didn't check if someone already posted that core before but since it worked perfectly fine for me across the past months i'm gonna give it a shoot.

First i thought about that core with my friend Cicada , we originally made that core around Fairy/Dragon Spam as they both share offensive synergy in being walled by Steels-type, which also means that Magnezone is the pokemon you need since it has an incredible ability in Magnet Pull that allows you to trap Steels-type such as Skarmory / Ferrothorn / Jirachi / Scizor / Metagross as they can threaten our sweepers.

We wanted to make that core the least passive possible hence why we chose Choice Spec Latios instead of Life Orb compared to many other DragMag teams, indeed Choice Spec Latios fits perfectly well here mainly because it works as an incredible wallbreaker as well as providing way more offensive pressure than Life Orb variant, Latios can 2HKO Clefable / Altaria with psyshock even though the latter might need Stealth Rock on the field depending on the spread he's running and also lure out Chansey with Trick which means it's not going to be hard walled in any way, it's for me the best you can do especially against defensive archetype who usually doesn't care about Latios. It's simple all you have to do is baiting the most Steels-type so Magnezone can trap to give Azumarill and Latios an easier sweep.

But why these 2 pokemon in particular (i mean there are plenty of Dragons/Fairy-type)? You can notice that outside of being walled by steels-type in general they both have another checks, per exemple in case of Latios you can have Weavile / Tyranitar which are both set up bait for Azumarill while in the other side you have Rotom-W / Celebi / Amoonguss / Venusaur which are all bait for Latios, these 2 simply share both offensive, defensive synergy and that's what make them so good when paired with Magnezone.

Concerning sets i won't talk much about that, Latios and Azumarill are both classic spreads while Magnezone has chople so you can trap and cripple Metagross / Offensive Scizor with Thunder Wave and Hidden Power Fire.

I hope you liked and have a nice day. :toast:

This core is well known and I'm honestly really surprised it's not in the archive. Kyurem and Kyurem-B's biggest headaches come from Steel-types, and as such having a way to eliminate them easily is a huge boon for their wallbreaking potential. Magnezone does a really nice job of trapping these steels with it's Choice Specs set, but I feel that the best set to partner with Kyurem is the Chople Berry set. This is because it allows it to trap Scizor with complete consistency, taking on fast variants by eating a Superpower with it's Chople Berry and KOing back with HP Fire. Aside from this, it does a nice job of trapping stuff like Metagross, Ferrothorn and any other steels that give it a headache. From here, Kyurem wallbreaks. Pretty simple stuff.

Offensive Core.

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Knock Off

Honestly I don't know why this isn't already up there (if it is mb i just couldn't find it). Gengar + Azumarill is a fantastic core and is very solid on HO. Due to Gengar's dark weakness, and tendency to be pursuit trapped, azumarill makes for an excellent partner. After Gengar gets pursuit trapped / crunched / knocked off from scarf ttar, or weavile Azumarill is free to belly drum up and potentially win the game. Pokemon such as Latios, Manaphy, Breloom, and Serperior all stop Azumarill from winning a game since it cannot kill these pokemon with aqua jet and in return gets killed by one of their coverage/stab moves. (In Latios' case it needs 19% prior damage to kill with psyshock 100% of the time after a BD) Gengar can deal with all of these pokemon, weakening manaphy, ohkoing serp, breloom, and latios. But gengar is forced to win a speed tie vs Latios so pairing this with something that can outspeed and put it in range of a +6 Aqua Jet (37%-) also works very well.

Offensive Core (Didn't see this in the archive so please don't kill me if my ctrl+f is broken)
Manaphy @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tail Glow
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Psychic

Thundurus @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 68 Atk / 188 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Knock Off
- Superpower
- Grass Knot
Description: This is a very potent and fun hyper offensive core that I find myself using all of the time. These two have excellent offensive synnergy, putting a ton of pressure on the opposing team and complimenting each other very well. Manaphy has trouble breaking through Unware Clefable and Chansey while being threatened by Choice Specs Keldeo and Latios. Thundurus helps a ton here because it cripples Chansey by Knocking Off its eviolite, allowing Manaphy to break through it, or just destroying it with Superpower. Additionally, Thundurus essentially nets a 2HKO on Clefable with Thunderbolt, pressuring it and forcing it to use up its healing while also OHKOing Latios after Stealth Rock with Knock Off and obviously OHKOing Keldeo with Thunderbolt. Since Manaphy is running Psychic, it can easily break through Mega Venusaur and Amoonguss, who are some of the best Mixed Thundurus answers on bulkier builds. Since Manaphy is forgoing Energy Ball, Grass Knot on Thundurus allows it to lure in and OHKO seismitoad on the famous "shed stall team" and Knock Off allows it to lure in Shedinja, who usually walls Thundurus as well as Manaphy, paving the way for Mana to sweep through bulkier teams. The core has solid defensive synergy too since Thundus can take some Grass type attacks. that smack Mana while Mana can switch into and beat bulky Ground types like Garchomp and Landorus-T for Thundurus. Overall, this is a really fun offensive core that can easily overwhelm defensive teams and fits very well into Hyper Offensive builds.

Other Options: These are the two main sets that I usually run with this core, but you can run HP Fire to deal with annoying Ferrothorns or Energy Ball so that you don't have to rely on Thundy to deal with Water types, but the current set is what I think works best with this core. Additionally, you can run TWave+3 Attacks/2 Attacks NP Thundy if your team requires speed control, but the Mixed set is really nice for OHKOing Latios and crippling Chansey right when they switch in. Lastly, you can run a stallbreaker Manaphy set with Rain Dance if you choose to take the 3 attacks Thundy route, but the lack of coverage really hurts vs more offensive teams.

Potential Partners:
-
Mega Metagross is probably the ideal mega to run with this core and is the one that I run the most option. Metagross offers a check to both offensive Fairy and Dragon types, which is really important for this core since offensive fairies like Mega Garde and Diancie threaten the core and my Lati switch in is lol. Additionally, Metagross offers a Pokemon that has a really good matchup vs standard bulky offense, smashing the common Keldeo/Lando-T/Latios cores that are flooding ladder currently. Going through the top offensive mons in terms of usage, Metagross can deal with; Lando-T (Ice Punch), Latios, Excadrill outside of sand (Hammer Arm), Clefable (Meteor Mash), Garchomp (Ice-Punch), Heatran (Hammer Arm), SpD Talonflame (Thunder Punch), Keldeo, and Tyranitar. Obviously Meta struggles with common fat balances and stalls since they pack shit like Gastro, Quag, etc. but the two members of the core smash those types of teams, so Meta is a pretty solid partner to the core.

- Landorus-Therian is another really good partner to the core and can do multiple things to help out the core. First of all, the core gets absolutely smashed by Electric types and neither member of the core really switches into Excadrill in Sand very well, so Lando-T adds a much needed pivot to the team. Additionally, Lando-T has the ability to run Yache Berry in order to lure in Electric types that run Hidden Power Ice as coverage options, eliminating the annoying Elecs for the core. Additionally Lando-T offers a rocker and a pivot that can get the two wallbreakers in with relative ease, which is really nice, especially since these two mons force a ton of switches and Stealth Rock can really capitilize on that. Lastly, Lando-T can potentially be a scarfer that checks elecs as well as landing surprise kills vs the Lati twins if you run Knock Off while also dealing with common Anti-Offense mons like Mega Alakazam and Mega Lopunny. There's more partners than the two that I provided that work well with the core, but I just wanted to give a couple of general examples so that its easier to build as opposed to building a team for you guys lol.

This is one of my favorite cores to pack on HO and its ability to pressure fat teams is really nice to deal with all the stall nerds running around on higher portions of the ladder, which is really nice. Overall, this core tends to struggle with Elecs and Strong Special Attackers, so adding blanket checks to those is highly appreciated. I hope you liked my core and have a nice day :]

Soz for double post :/

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off/Superpower

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Ice Punch
- Hammer Arm
- Zen Headbutt/Thunder Punch/Bullet Punch
Overall, this is a pretty fun core that works really well in general. Metagross tends to struggle with bulky grounds, and Azumarill destroys every bulky ground in the tier with relative ease. Additionally, Azumarill helps by beating other annoying mons like Gastrodon and it lures in Slowbro with Band Knock. Metagross helps out Azu a ton by beating Amoong/Venu with Zen Headbutt/Meteor Mash, potentially luring in Skarmory with Thunder Punch if you choose to run it. Additionally, these two have solid defensive synergy with azu checking grounds, darks, and fires for meta while meta checks grasses for azu. This core mainly aims to pressure physical tanks like Rotom-W that can check both members of the core and wear them down to the range that they can't switch in anymore, which is really nice. This core struggles with elecs, but pairing it with elec checks/lures like yache and scarf landot can really help with that weakness. Not including a partners section since I don't wanna MS Paint every partner, but thundy, lando, etc. all work pretty well with this core. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Hello there, i would like to make a suggestion. I think that you guys should include pictures or sprites of the cores on page one, where the cores are gathered and sorted. Although some might agree that this will change or not change anything i m under the opinion that being able to actually see the pokemon and not just their names will help people that scroll down trying to find something to build around but dont know exactly what to build around decide easier because when you see just the pokemon names it is pretty boring and it is discouraging some people from actually clicking and viewing the cores. I really do think that this would make this thread more cool and by the way, i would like to congratulate you guys for the good work so far! Keep it up :)

I remember a previous iteration of the Good Core thread, or something similar from the XY days, having its sprites next to the cores. The main issue was that this forum engine is kinda janky when it comes to a high concentration of pictures, and makes the page load slowly and in a jarring way - especially when there were lots of pictures packed into hide tags. While it does make the launch page more visually pleasing, previous attempts at doing the same were sort of a wash, and were eventually reverted.

Offensive Core: Hydreigon + Dugtrio

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- U-turn

Dugtrio @ Custap Berry
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
IVs: 21 HP / 0 Def / 0 SpD
Hasty Nature
- Endure
- Earthquake
- Reversal
- Stone Edge / Memento / Stealth Rock

Specs Hydreigon is seeing some more use, along with things like Specs Latios for more immediate wallbreaking strength. The standard answers to Hydreigon revolves around special walls like Chansey or fairies like M-Diancie/M-Gardevoir. U-turn takes advantage of that fact, and lets you pivot into Dugtrio to take them out. Timid on Hydreigon lets you pivot out faster and outspeed things like Kyurem/Kyurem-B, Medicham and max speed Lando-T, but you can still run Modest if they power is really worth the loss in speed. Duggy is the standard Custap Endure set, and the last slot can be tailored for what you want to take out, whether it's Volc/Zard-Y with Stone Edge, SR for fast setup, or Memento to help out a sweeper like Power-up Punch M-Lopunny, Serperior, or Double Dance Lando-T.

Core still loses to Clef unless you can sacrifice a moveslot on Hydreigon for Flash Cannon, which isn't recommended for this particular core (it's great in most other scenarios), and still isn't that great against things that Duggy can't drop, like Keldeo at full HP. Things like Jirachi help in this regard, whether it's through Scarf to more reliably beat Fighting-types like Specs Keldeo, or by setting its own SR and beating fairies with a SDef spread. Sweepers that appreciate certain walls gone enjoy this core, such as M-Scizor when Heatran's gone, M-Lop when Slowbro/Rotom-W/Tangrowth are gone, and M-Metagross if Slowking/Suicune/Mew/Reuniclus are gone.

I posted this a bit further up the page. Just a note, but Custap Berry Dugtrio is irritatingly situational relative to Sash and doesn't really fit the needs of this core very well (Screech is a big part of why it's considered a good partner, as it allows it to both elimintate Chansey and significantly weaken Clefable to the point where you can force it out with whatever comes out after Dugtrio while also ensuring that it can no longer switch in on Hydreigon).

HailFall

my cancer is sun and my leo is moon
just saying if youre running u-turn on hydra your coverage move should be flash cannon always since that actually expands your coverage to let you kill faries (unlike fire move which just lets you ohko a couple more things) and prevents you from being a 100% free switch for the best mon in ou.

we talked about this when we added the "old cores" section awhile back, and we decided not to because of what OverlordDerp said basically- it makes the thread very laggy and slow to load. i do agree that sprites would look a lot nicer, but it doesn't really help with making things easier to find considering you can simply do "ctrl + f", type in the name of the pokemon you're trying to find a core with, and go from there :p. i mentioned that with the old cores section, so i'll edit it into the current cores section for clarity n_n. thanks for bringing this to our attention :).

Nedor and i will probably update this soon; if we go through the stuff posted and believe it isn't enough for an update, we'll just wait a little longer though. like always, if we think your core is good for the archive but needs a few changes, we'll just mention that either with the update or privately ^^.

on another note, we're probably not gonna be adding anyone to the "group" for picking the cores because it's just unnecessary.

Nedor and i went through the cores and decided to add the following:
  • +
    /
    /
by Martin. (link): there were like zero dug cores in the archive, and these three are all pretty standard and common at this point. hydrei + dugtrio has been seen a lot lately, dug + latios is pretty straightforward, and dug + volcarona has been around forever.
  • by Leftiez (link): pretty fun core where each member breaks everything down for one another. azu and magnezone can break all the steels latios hates, magnezone can break the steels both latios and azu hate, and if latios gets trapped by pursuit, azumarill can come in and set up easily. thanks anon user for selling this one to me ^^.
  • +
    /
by Martin. (link): pretty self explanatory core; both of these hate steels a lot and magnezone traps and kills steels.
  • by Littlelucario (link): mixed thund can muscle past chansey and latis for manaphy, manaphy can handle grasses for thundurus with psychic and ice beam, and both can overwhelm clef.
  • also added the cores infernal posted here. i thought they were added already, but considering she was the OP of this thread & nedor and i approve of them, there isn't much explanation needed on those being added other than what's in her post :p.
sorry for the double post lol. Littlelucario, Nedor and i talked it over and agreed that the megagross + azumarill core sorta seems like two strong mons added together that work together nicely. it doesn't make much sense as something to jump off of to build around. we think it'd be a better addition with watmel azumarill to lure mega scizors for metagross. this adds another aspect making it more interesting to build around while maintaining the positive points about their synergy mentioned in your post.

thanks for the submissions everyone! be sure to inform me or Nedor if there are any issues with the archive or w.e n_n.

I COULD BE BANNED!
Ferrothorn Oras cores (what I used):
Ferrothorn + Diancie-Mega Balanced Core
Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 8 Atk / 248 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Earth Power / Hidden Power Fire
- Protect

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers

EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Relaxed / Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock / Spikes
- Gyro Ball / Power Whip
- Protect

A strong common core that works well which use the very powerful Diancie-Mega with Ferrothorn to help it behind. These two Pokémons have a good offensive and defensive synergy.

Ideal partners:
Landorus-Therian is a really good pokémon to run with this core because it can set up Stealth Rocks, which permits you to run Spikes on Ferrothorn. It has a useful ground immunity and a nice fighting resistance.
Slowbro is a good pokémon in general with Ferrothorn ; it have Scald to burn, a useful fighting resist, a lot of regeneration with Regenerator and Slack Off, which excels with Slowbro's huge Bulk.

Ferrothorn + Talonflame + Starmie Balanced Core
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Relaxed / Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed

Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 16 SpA / 240 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Recover
- Rapid Spin
- Psyshock

This is a pretty cool Fire/Grass/Water hazard control core using Ferrothorn to set Stealth Rock or Spikes, specially defensive Talonflame, and Starmie to Rapid Spin.

Ideals partners:
Tyranitar checks everything that the core is weak like Manectric-Mega.
(Therian form does not exist in M-PDM) The twos mains sets of Landorus-Therian run effectively with this core.

Power Whip Ferrothorn + Slowbro / Slowbro-Mega Defensive Core
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe

Slowbro-Mega @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 240 HP / 80 Def / 180 SpD / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Psyshock / Flamethrower
- Calm Mind

Really solid stall core with a perfect defensive synergy which stops or slows down the 95% of the Oras OU metagame.

Ideals Parnters:
Specially defensive Talonflame is a good partner because it checks Breloom, Heracross-Mega and Charizard-Mega Y, forming a Fire/Grass/Water core and adding a Ground immunity by the way. You can lure Bisharp with Flare Blitz too.
The three main versions of Garchomp check all threats to the core.

Ferrothorn + Azumarill (Choice Band) Balanced Core
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Relaxed / Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock / Spikes
- Gyro Ball / Power Whip
- Protect

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet

Strong core with a good defensive and offensive synergy. Azumarill hits Fighting and Fire-types for Ferrothorn, which can set up Entry Hazards to help Azumarill to kill some Pokémons, and checks Grass-Types and Poison-Types like Venusaur-Mega and Amoonguss (without Hidden Power Fire) or Tangrowth (without Hidden Power Fire again).

Ideals Partners:
|
Eon Pokémons are pretty good with this core, checking threats like Volcanion.
Heatran is a good pokémon with this core because it can beat Pokémons like Ferrothorn and Scizor-Mega. By the way, Heatran forms a Fire/Grass/Water core.

Latias + Mega Lopunny
+

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish
- Defog/ Roost

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch

Mega lopunny is a great physical attacker, but it gets worn down easily with status, High Jump Kick missing, rough skin, rocky helmet, iron barbs, and sand. Latias fixes this with healing wish, allowing Lopunny a second shot at sweeping. Latias is also able to pivot into threats such as scarf keldeo, breloom, tangrowth without knock off, mega venusaur, amoonguss, and Thundurus. Lopunny in turn is able to beat dark types such as tyranitar, bisharp and weavile.

Core kinda loses to clefable and stall in general, so good partners include Stallbreakers like gliscor or mew.

Offensive Core: Mega Lop + Torn-T
+

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch / Baton Pass

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 76 Atk / 180 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hurricane
- Taunt
- Heat Wave
- Superpower / U-Turn

Mega Lopunny is a magnet for Pokemon like Tangrowth, Slowbro and Clefable which can be pressured with Taunt + Hurricane.(beware of Thunder Wave!). Heat Wave is a nice move to quickly take down Ferrothorn, Skarmory and Scizor which gets in the way of a Mega Lopunny clean-up. In return, Mega Lopunny can help to chip away at Garchomp or Landorus-T to put them into Hurricane KO range. It is also faster and can threaten the likes of Weavile and Bisharp who can KO Tornadus-T otherwise. There is also the option of running Baton Pass or U-Turn on these Pokemon to generate more momentum if required.

Offensive Core: Mega Lop + Nidoking
+

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Return
- Fake Out
- Ice Punch / Baton Pass

Nidoking @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam / Thunderbolt

As stated above, Mega Lopunny attracts Clefable, Tangrowth and Skarmory. Nidoking can completely counter Clefable and threatens Tangrowth, Skarmory and Scizor with Flamethrower. Ice Beam can be used to get rid of Lando-T and Zapdos although Thunderbolt can be considered to hit Suicune and Slowbro hard. Meanwhile, Mega Lop can help against Offensive teams that Nidoking struggles against. Again, Baton Pass can be used to allow Nidoking a free switch but the utility of Ice Punch is hard to pass up.

Many people are familiar with the Keldeo + Reuniclus core because it's been around since BW. Reuniclus dislikes pokemon such as Mega Scizor, Tyranitar, Weavile, Gliscor and Jirachi and Keldeo can check all of those. The unusual thing about this core however is the Keldeo set. Taunt enables Keldeo to annoy switchins such as Latios, Clefable (usually switches in after leftovers is shown), Amoonguss, MVenusaur and Slowbro. In many matches you spread burns early game, get hazards up (spikes skarm / rocks heatran / bulky exca works really well with this core) and then either use Keldeo as mid game annoyance with Taunt and Reuniclus as a cleaner, or use Keldeo as your cleaner with Calm Mind. A list of the most common (non-Specs) Keldeo switchins and what Taunt does to them:
Latios/Latias: prevents them from recovering which can be really annoying with burns+rocks+life orb recoil, also prevents defog so your Spikes will stay longer (Spikes+Reuni can really break some bulky offenses apart)
Clefable, Slowbro and Slowking: prevents Thunder Wave and Calm Mind so Reuniclus can switch in safely and always win the CM war
Amoonguss and PDef Tangrowth: prevents Spore / Sleep Powder so Reuniclus can switch in without risking the sleep
Mega Venusaur: prevents recovery so loses to scald burn + spikes (Reuniclus also beats this easily)
Mega Altaria / Dragonite / Gyarados: Prevents recovery and Dragon Dance
Azumarill / Tornadus-T / AV Tangrowth: don't really care about Taunt, but at least Torn-T can't Taunt and Azu can't Belly Drum
Starmie: prevents recovery and the uncommon twave/toxic
Gastrodon: prevents recovery and curse / toxic, Reuniclus beats Curse Gastro if Gastro gets Taunted on the switchin
Calm Mind is kinda like a filler on Keldeo, but it's still a nice option so you still have a nice cleaner if Reuniclus gets Pursuit trapped. Other options include HP Grass, Toxic (+ FBlast on Reuniclus) and Icy Wind. Toxic is a good alternative because you can beat Setup MLati / Slowbro / Gastro / Unaware Clef with Reuniclus [without Shadow Ball]. Also a great option to cripple Tangrowth and Alomomola (other Keldeo checks like Torn-T and Azumarill should get scald burned instead of poisoned if possible)

Other Options: Life Orb on Keldeo is decent on bulky offensive teams. Calm Mind Cresselia is a decent alternative over Reuniclus because the metagame is really offensive, so the extra bulk and speed is really nice, but I'll go more in depth on Cresselia in another post.

I have returned, frens. And this time I'm here to give you all some more cancer.

Gliscor + Starmie Bulky Offense/Balance
Basically the core is centered around Gliscor stopping Stall and Balance from doing their obnoxious shit while Starmie makes the offensive threats that beat Gliscor (not named Weavile and KyuB, they make you both cry) not want to come in, for fear of being countered, burned, and having their hazards removed. It's pretty simple, in all honesty. Gliscor comes in on things like Gengar, Clefable lacking Ice Beam, Breloom, Mega Diancie, Tyranitar, Mega Sableye, Zapdos, Ferrothorn, Amoonguss, Chansey, and other stally mons, set up, and give Stall teams a lot of trouble due to his inability to be statused and his pretty good bulk and surprising power with a Swords Dance or two (Or three if you're a man), while Starmie provides answers to things like Keldeo, Mega Metagross, and Jirachi with Ice Punch, for example, the ability to burn threats such as Terrakion and Skarmory, the latter of which completely shuts down Gliscor. Make sure to bring a good check to Weavile and Kyurem B, specifically Mega Scizor as he can come in on both freely (Aside from the dank HP Fire KyuB)
