Resource ORAS OU Team building Competition

I wanted to try with Donphan bc it's a spinner that can bother ghost types with knock off while and setting up rocks on drill. I went on a fat to make the best use of Donphan, as it is worn down pretty easily due to toxic or wow. That is why I use a cleric Chansey and MVenusaur to take care of the water, grass and electric types with hp ice.
Cm clef with focus blast is here to make the team less passive and to threat the steel types that could think they're actually safe. Skarm's purpose is to check physical attackers like drill and punishing uturner while being able to set up spikes for Clef and phazing set up mons.
Slowbro completes the team as I needed some MMedicham and MLop counter while spreading paralysis.

Congrats to RufflesPro for winning the week!

Time for the next one...

The goal of this week is to build a team using any of the above Pokémon (let's be real though, Phione and Meloetta are here out of formality). As you can see, there are some very obvious restrictions as some Mythicals are banned;

Hopefully we can see some life breathed into these lesser legendaries. Happy posting!

Hey guys, you will be ffed up with me by the end of this lol! But today I'm here to officially tell you that puck.42 is wrong, and that Meloetta is based as fuck.
Anyways, Meloetta it is, and what a better set to use than Substitute + Calm Mind? With its stellar special defense and speed, Meloetta is able to set up against threats like Rotom-Wash. The speed itself it's great because Meloetta outspeeds max speed Excadrill. Moreover, Clefable's existence is rendered a missery by this Meloetta. One of the most problematic pokémon for this Meloetta is Weavile, and the second part of this core is here just to punish Weavile's Pursuit. Mega Gyarados is a really dangerous threat on its own right, and more so if it takes advantage to have a turn to set up freely.
Now that the core of the team has been established, it is time to fill its gaps accordingly. First off, Serperior was added as the primary water resist (don't ever count on Gyarados to resist Scalds for crying out loud), as well as to paralyze key threats like Tornadus-Therian which Meloetta takes huge advantage of.
Gyarados and Meloetta suffer a lot from hazards, so a good removal was in order, so Excadrill, as always, made its way into the team. This time it is the Toxic set, as Mega Gyarados and Meloetta do worse against certain threats that when badly poisoned they become set up fodder for them, and having a Clefable switch in is good as well.
Last but not least, you might have noticed that the team really hates facing ground type pokémon, and you would be right. However, the last two pokémon are chosen to deal with them. On the one hand, we have Landorus-Therian, the rocker of the team. It has Knock off as well, because using a team without Knock Off is bad. And on the other hand, we have Thundurus, which is really good at spreading paralysis for our good gal Meloetta to sweep. These two pokémon also form a really annoying votl turn core.

Can we use one of the shit mon mythicals with the good ones?

https://pokepast.es/3c9e7904e4dc0785

The shitmon mythical I decided to choose was Shaymin.

Shaymin is a pretty interesting grass type since it has a very powerful stab signature move and earth power which is a pretty good coverage move since gamefreak rarely gives grass type coverage. Shaymin can sort of larp as some sort of lati+serp hybrid providing good team utility with healing wish and being to chase out a bunch of annoying pokemon and has the added benefit of being a revenge killer that does not care about thundy twave or serp glare since natural cure is a thing

Went with a sand core of mega ttar as its my moth answer and driller for hazard control and a sand abuser alongside ttar, both these mons benefit greatly from healing wish and appreciate Shaymin switching in and chasing out annoying pokemon like waters, mega diancie, and thundy

Sp.def Zapdos is great for being able to handle special attacker and being and emergency check to something like gross or lop

Keldeo is used as the secondary breaker and crucial offensive weavile check which is a pokemon this team hates

Landorus is needed to keep up the momentum and annoy gross and lop

---------------------------------------

Edit: So I just remembered Keld was a mythical . Here is the new team

https://pokepast.es/0416be3dd53d61bd

Shaymin, Driller, Mtar, and Lando stay for the same reason as before

The 2 new team mates are Latios and Rotom-W
Rotom-W is an electric that annoys fliers while also being able to switch into weavile and Latios is a very strong breaker that can switch into serp leaf storm and can give ttar a free dd if it gets pursuit trapped by weavile.

Victini TrickRoom

Peace be upon y'all. Today, I'd like to present a team I've put together for this week's teambuild challenge, which features Victini.
Victini is the coolest mythical Pokemon, and it hits hard with stab V-create. I'm using Trick Room Victini this week because I believe Trick Room in general is underexplored.
Crawdaunt is the next companion because this Pokemon is a slow wallbreaker and a no-brainer in Trick Room.
Mega Abomasnow is the mega of this team because he hit extremely hard under Trick Room and completes the fire/water/grass core with Victini and Crawdaunt. I'm utilizing Rock Slide on this set since it allows you to directly Ohko Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y.
Conkeldurr, the team's fourth member, is yet another slow wallbreaker.
Uxie and Cresselia are two of the remaining Pokemon. These Pokemon set up Trick Room, and let our wallbreaker do their job.

Possible change:
1) Mega Venusaur over Mega abomasnow.
Mega Venusaur covers the Keldeo and Serperior matchup, and it also absorbs toxic spikes.

This week I'm gonna participate with a Diancie Trick room. As soon as I've seen the theme, I knew I would go for a Diancie TR bc I pretty like this archetype, an archetype that I've practically never seen since I'm playing oras.

The Trick room core is compounded of a Diancie with a normal gem explosion set with Moonblast and Diamond Storm to check sub volca (the ev are to ohko a lop after rocks) ; a pretty classic Cresselia w/ magic coat as a way to control hazard a little ; and finally a Bronzong, pretty classical.

The offensive core was originally built around MCamerupt, but I finally change it bc it's not really reliant, and the lack of water resist was a death sentence. So I went for MAmpharos, one of my fav mega, whose weakness is completely covered by trick room, as it does not really have a safe switch in bar Chansey and Quagsire shenanigans. Also, Mampharos allows a better match into the likes of Rotom and Zapdod, bc it resists both stabs. That's why I put a band crowd crawdaunt for instant raw power, instead of a SD set that takes a bit of time to set up. And to finish, I added Conkeldurr, a pretty no brain pokemon that will punish every team without a great fight resists.

That's it, special thanks to the one's who helped me with trick room building
