As this weeks pokémon of choice is Breloom, and it so happens that I have built a really recent Breloom team that I have been getting really good success with on the ladder, I'll share it with y'all.
The team, of course, is built around Breloom. It has a twist, however, as this Breloom set is a Swords Dance Poison Heal set featuring Facade instead of a grass stab. Pairing it with the support of Mega Alakazam's offensive prowess was the second step for creating this team. In fact, this Mega Alakazam has future sight to further support this Breloom set in breaking teams much faster. As this Swords Dance Breloom is unable to tatch ghost type pokémon whatsoever, a pursuit user was mandatory, so Weavile was added. With it's incredible speed tier, ability to use Knock Off and priority in Ice Shard, it was the best option amongst the pursuit users in the tier. Slowbro makes a return from last weeks team, with the same item and all! Besides letting Weavile in scot-free, it also lets Breloom activate its Toxic Orb without coming in on undesired Knock Offs or any other attacks that would do big damage. As a bonus, it also lets in Mega Alakazam, who will have trouble coming in on attacks as well. The last two pokémon from here were quite clear, as I needed both a ground type, a rocks setter, a hazard removal, and a ground immunity. So Excadrill and Thundurus made their way into the team. Excadrill is the ground type of choice because it can both set up rocks and remove them from your side of the field. Thundurus, on the other hand, is my ground immunity of choice because of mainly two reasons: it is really good at grabbing momentum for the team, and most important of all, it spread paralysis, a really useful status for Breloom to be even more dangerous, as one of the best ways to deal with it is to revenge kill it.
