Tornadus-T is one of the best pivots in the ORAS OU metagame, sporting a high Speed tier, fantastic ability in Regenerator, and access to great utility moves in U-turn and Knock Off. While holding an Assault Vest, it is able to check an abundance of special attackers in the tier such as Keldeo, Latios, Mega Alakazam, and Serperior and threaten them out. Tornadus-T can choose to run Heat Wave to hit Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Bisharp, Superpower to threaten Tyranitar and Heatran, or Hidden Power Ice to nail Gliscor. Excadrill is a great teammate for Tornadus-T, as it provides Rapid Spin support that aids Tornadus-T in reliably checking threats. Other Ground-types such as Gastrodon, Gliscor, and Garchomp are able to switch into Electric-type attacks for Tornadus-T. Finally, Pokemon such as Mega Medicham and Keldeo appreciate Tornadus-T bringing them in safely via U-turn.
