Scheduling
Scheduling should be done on Smogon user walls, plain and simple.
If there is no communication on a users walls and a game goes undone, it will be left to the RNG to decide the winner.
If there is communication on only one user's behalf, the win will go to them. Feel free to call activity in this thread beforehand.
If there is a very healthy back and forth regarding potential times and one user is a no-show, a captain may take the opportunity to sub out the no-show competitor; if this is not done, the user that showed up responsibly will be awarded the win.

TL;DR: PM your opponents, schedule your matches, and be reliable. If you're not reliable, let your captain know so they can sub you out ASAP.


Sportsmanship
Exhibitions of unsportsmanlike conduct with regards to Other Metagame World Cup VI will be met with an infraction at the discretion of the hosts. This is unlikely to include interactions within a team's private chat unless there is reason found to make an exception.

  • Inappropriate nicknames: Games in which a player uses nicknames that break PS! rules will be forfeited, and the player will be removed from the tour. Replays are required for this tour, so it is important that PS! and Smogon rules are followed in these games.
  • Toxic Behaviour: Insulting, flaming, and intentional timer stalling are some examples of toxic behaviour. Instances of toxic behaviour will be reviewed, and the appropriate punishment will be handed out at the discretion of the hosts and OM forum moderators.
These rules are meant to protect other users from being publicly flamed/bashed/provoked by another competitor for the duration of and following the tournament, as well as keep it a safe site for all.

All players must complete their matches by the given deadline. Any incomplete matches by that time may be subject to activity decision (MAKE SURE YOU POST ON YOUR OPPONENT'S WALL); otherwise, they will be decided via !pick publicly in the Other Metas Room. All matches should ideally be done on your most notable alt (the one you registered for OMWC VI with) to avoid confusion and the replay must be saved and posted in this thread. The replays will be archived in a separate thread, and will be used to calculate usage stats.

Substitutions
Captains, if you wish to make any substitutions, you must post here tagging both the player you're subbing out, the player you're subbing in, the captains of the opposing team, the substitute's opponent(s), and myself. This is to assure that everyone is in-the-loop and that the OP is updated accordingly to reflect the new match-up.


Weeks Format Explanation & Rules
  1. There are two groups, each group has 4 regions.
  2. Every week each region will face a different one till every region has fought each other, top 2 regions within a group advance to playoffs.
  3. In the event of a tie, total number of individual wins will decide which regions progresses.
  4. It is a best of 1 for every single tier but the best of 3 category.
  5. Best of 3s game order is decided by !pick on Pokemon Showdown for game 1, loser decides game 2 and 3.

MNM predicts :

db vs Tempo di anguria : db has more experienced in MNM but after seeing what he brought in week 1, imma bold Tempo because hes decent at clicking and Clas will give him something solid too (or try to luck your opp like Clas did)

TKYSZL vs Dragonillis : ily Drago but TKY is unpredictable. We do not know what kind of teams he likes and TKY plays really carefully (unlike zas). Tho i guess Drago can still win with some aggressive plays.

PociekMociek vs abriel : Imma go with Placu cuz Ivar + Sammy + Placus + Bonk in mnm is crazy ngl. Assuming QT is the one who builds for abriel, Pociek and their friends can try to counterteam/build some heat stuff since QT often loads standard (not sayin its bad but still)

zastra vs Mom Lover : better player wins
BO3 but i will talk only about MNM :

Kinetic vs Clas : should be highlight of MNM games this week but i dont like Clas anyways

Nashrock vs Osake : i guess TKY can build team for Nash but Osake is more experienced and also better support here

Ivar57 vs Glory : better clicker + better support but Glory is a tough opp so

what the fuck is this most one-sided mu of all time :worrycargo:, teamo did do like decent in hpl and all but they are by no means better than sevag, think sevag will just clean this up if they prep decently well for cheese teamo please cook an actually functioning team :>

This is probably the best bh game (besides our own) this week imo, both of these players do know the current meta well enough to cook some heat but chess did have a really good ompl run, but im still gonna root for my french goat damflame

Test Rex vs Quantum Tesseract
tbh i dont know how "good" test rex really is in g9 cause i really havent seen them play much, but they do have a lot of great support in europe, still i think qt is the favourite to win here due to their consistent structures rex u should totally bring mega beedrill

AAA: O1V7O2X9O vs GlalieGoesBoom - absolutely horrible and horrific team by Glalie last week I hope I don't see this again, O1V on the other hand played a nice game vs Jrdn and he's my goat
BH: rightclicker vs TTTech - ik rightclicker had a rough season in OMFL and TTTech is still the goat but it's BH so I don't rly know
GG: Fluore vs AM - Fluore struggled the whole game to break mola x skarm while AM brought Mola Arc balance = they understood the meta and will win
Inh: Velcroc vs zioziotrip - Velcroc brought a solid team while ziozio skipped turns.. zioziotrip still the better player imo but if they don't focus they can lose that
MnM: zastra vs Mom Lover - Gliscor is both terrible and a goated pick, zastra's team was nice so I'm giving them the edge but Mom Lover did a rly good game last week
PiC: Idyll vs HiZo - HiZo team was funny continue like that champ
STAB: Kaif vs seth - cool teams and nice games last weeks for both but Kaif got more experience in stab
Bo3: Lana vs Andyboy - ngl both bo3 last weeks were quite nice and I'm pretty hyped by this MU, I've been more convinced by Andy though but this could go either way

AAA: DeepFriedMagikarp vs Jrdn - rly interesting building by DFM last week and I expect some nice teams from them throughout the whole tour, Jrdn can def cook interesting teams though (maybe with another tech that slow strong grass breaker)

GG: DragonPhoenix333 vs Racool - funny rain but not breaking alomomola is tough, I'm guessing Stareal used Racool's team and while Alomomola balance shows once again that they understood the meta, Clod with Zac-c Atk is so criminal that I can't bold her

AAA: Lily vs MZ - Lily is less scoutable than Atha and seems to have good support and she always perform really well in OMs and I think she'll show it once again

GG: SammyCe123 vs TPP - if TPP doesn't load into weird TR built by a madman I think they can get the upset here (+ Alomomola player = goat)

PiC: Frixel vs zoe - I teamed up w/ Frixel once so they will win
STAB: xdRudi.exe vs Hacker - solid game by Rudi last week and USS seems to not have a solid Stab player (maybe tell ur player to not say "rain is broken" in the stab chan 3 days before the game next time :p)
Bo3: Ivar57 vs Glory - BRO SOUNDPROOF RMOON no fuck off you deserve to lose every single game for your entire life and it was ROCK SLIDE TOO no pls Glory take down that fraud or I'll have to do it myself (I'm a coward)

O1V7O2X9O vs GlalieGoesBoom

O1 proved me wrong by beating jrdn, and glalie brought a very odd team last week, so I think that if the trend continues then O1 can get another win. This could be a good watch if glalie is able to bring something that isn't incredibly fish, and still somehow loses when the team does get the mons it wants, wabs registeel and klutz bliss were interesting ideas but the team didn't really have the cohesion to actually beat what it set out to.

DeepFriedMagikarp vs Jrdn

Two goats, I can't even really tell who will win this one tbh. They both have great builds and their play is also good. Ahhh if I had to say I'd say jrdn bc he's coming off a loss and will want to put in the work ya know.

Wss vs Atha

Of all the teams Wss chose to take from my OMPL/ssnl dump they chose the one I like the least/wasn't even the version that should've been brought (the tran one was right there!!). Atha is Atha, he builds strong teams and has very solid play, not much else to add.

Lily vs MZ

MZ got the runback on atha which is nice to see, but I think Europe has stronger build support here. Either way this will be another great match and MZ can easily get the win after beating a very strong opp last week.

AAA BO3 (if they do play it):

Lana vs Andyboy DNP

Really liked Lana's build from last week and her play was quite solid, Andy also brought a nice build and played the game really well so either way this is going to be a great watch for not just aaa but the whole series.

Kinetic vs Clas

Kinetic had an uncharacteristic loss in AAA last week, if the zam was slam instead of edge it would've been a bit diff tho and he still played it alright so I think as long as the building is a bit stronger this time it'll be chill. I thought Clas would use the jrdn and racool support that had been gifted from the heavens and then I see a message from him like 20 mins before his game asking what he should use/if this looks good... please don't do that this week lmao

Nashrock vs Osake DNP

Osake is a strong builder/player and has Atha support. Nash played last week well despite being against a very strong opp so this will be another interesting one for sure.

Ivar57 vs Glory

I think Ivar can prep well for the offensive types of teams that glory brings, and I believe Ivar to be a bit stronger of a player in general, though Glory is still very good here and if they can come in w some nice techs I can see it being difficult for Ivar.
