I have a few sets cooked up for this week, Salazzle is a pretty cool mon. That being said... here is

Salac Belch Salazzle

Salazzle (F) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Nasty Plot
- Belch
- Flamethrower

After Salac's speed boost, this Pokemon outspeeds practically every mon in the metagame outside of interesting picks like Scarf Dragapult. You achieve the speed boost with 3 subs, hopefully forcing a switch in the meantime to allow for a free Nasty Plot. With a Nasty Plot up and the berry eaten, Belch becomes a powerful nuke to deal massive damage. Not as a coverage move like with the Belch Hydreigon set, but a raw STAB boosted nuke. Flamethrower allows you to deal with any pesky steel types, but Belch, even resisted should be enough to deal with most Pokemon after hazards or a bit of chip. Timid was ultimately chosen over Modest to ensure you outspeed base 110 Pokemon before the boost. Though Modest does net some cool KOs, including a much higher chance to OHKO Hippo with stealth rock at +2.

Obviously this set is not very good into Pex, so you need a 2nd Pokemon on the team to deal with it. Ideally a lure, so you can secure the kill early into the battle. Do not setup if Pex is still a factor in the game, this set is for sweeping, which is near impossible with Pex around. I'll test this over the week (once I get reqs) and add additional thoughts and replays.

Here's a pokepaste of the 6 sets I came up with if you want to play around with any of them

Utility Salazzle

:ss/Salazzle:

Salazzle @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 44 HP / 212 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Sludge Wave
-Taunt
-Knock Off
-Toxic

This variant is meant to be more supportive than the standard set. Salazzle forgoes breaking power by dropping Nasty Plot; however, 212 SpA retains a guaranteed 2HKO against Teleport Clefable after lefties recovery. The remaining EVs are used to slightly improve bulk. Toxic is self-explanatory. Knock Off and Taunt are used so Salazzle retains utility after badly poisoning mons like Toxapex and Seismitoad. Knock Off is broken in this meta and removes lefties and other items from whatever might come in on it, while irritating offensive checks such as Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Terrakion. Taunt prevents Toxapex and Hippowdon from recovering, preventing them from using Salazzle as a free switchin to heal once they have been badly poisoned.

Offensive WoW Salazzle

Salazzle @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Toxic
- Sludge Wave
- Flamethrower
- Will-O-Wisp

General idea

This Salazzle is a little different from the standard set because it drops Nasty Plot in order to use WoW as additional support move. With this unexpected WoW coming from such a fast pokèmon, you can punish hard offensive checks such as Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Terrakion.
Also, WoW can be used to soften the switch-ins of our teammates because Salazzle can't really tank with that low bulk, so it is forced out easily anyway. This is exacly why Heavy-Duty Boots is picked over everything else: Salazzle is forced out very very often.
Toxic is the superior choice towards the special and bulky attackers, but otherwise WoW is superior.

Choice Specs Salazzle

Salazzle (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 16 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 236 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Toxic
- Sludge Wave
- Overheat
This set is an attempt to utilize Salazzle's fairly decent 111 base Sp.Atk without using a standard NP set. With this combination of moves, Salazzle is capable of hitting the entire tier for at least neutral damage. For EVs, max Sp.Atk maximizes damage output, while 236 speed with a Modest nature allows Salazzle to outspeed base 100s like Jirachi and Mew, with the remaining EVs in HP to improve its bulk slightly. (200 speed with a Timid nature could also be used to outrun Gengar, which is OHKO'd by Overheat.) Additonally, Dragon Pulse has a 50% chance to OHKO Hydreigon from full, can pick off standard 252HP Kommo-o at 74%, and kills Kyurem after rocks. It also OHKO's Dracovish. Overheat is a nuke coming off Salazzle's now 529 Sp.Atk, dealing a minimum of 47% to Defensive Seismitoad and having an 81% chance to OHKO Hippowdon (97 min roll). It also nets a guaranteed OHKO against Zeraora. Sludge wave is Salazzle's second spammable stab, punching holes in things that could otherwise live two hits such as Rotom-H (71% min), as well as dealing a minimum of 90% to Sp.Def Clefable. Lastly, toxic is used to cripple things like Tyranitar, Toxapex, and AV Reuniclus, which could otherwise sponge hits relatively easily. (It's worth noting that these all get worn down easily by Salazzle's other moves, especially after a Toxic.) With proper wish support and hazard control, this set is capable of functioning as an extremely strong breaker that puts its checks on a timer.

(I know this was a bit calc-heavy. TLDR: You 2HKO/OHKO most switchins, and those you don't, toxic to wear down more easily)

Pelipper @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Weather Ball
- Hurricane
- Scald
- Defog

We all know that the fish is getting banned. With Seismitoad and Gastrodon gone, this monster will tear throught teams. Yes, it relies a lot in the surprise factor, of people believing that Pelipper is an extremely passive pokemon that only scalds and U-Turns. Most players usually see this and go to their Clefable for a free pivot or a nice Wish pass. Well, not in his watch.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Weather Ball (100 BP Water) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Clefable in Rain: 252-297 (63.9 - 75.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Just the shock factor of the massive damage on OU's most well known and used special tank can make most players tilted and make them go for more aggresive and reckless plays. This does not end here, thought. Hurracaine is a great nuke for other things in stall.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Toxapex: 175-207 (57.5 - 68%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Pelipper Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Ferrothorn: 210-247 (59.6 - 70.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Scald is there over Ice Beam because of the hippo and Ttar. You don't want to hit them with a rocky Weather Ball. You can, and should, use this on non weather teams, or bluff weather teams. It also helps disrupt the Hippo & Excadrill core we all know and love.

The point of Next Best Thing is that you showcase a unique set for a specific Pokemon at hand, followed by a vote to decide on which one is the most effective/creative. The current cycle is on Salazzle, not Pelipper.
If you'd like to showcase a cool, creative set in general, head over to the heat thread. However, Choice Specs Pelipper is already a pretty well-known set and is featured on its analysis.

Banned deucer.
:ss/Salazzle:
Salazzle (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Wave
- Flame Charge

the general idea of this set is to outspeed pretty much every scarfer in the tier with the addition of flame charge to boost its speed by 1 stage. due to the high speed-tier salazzle offers naturally it is capable of outspeeding pretty much every scarfer in the tier after the flame charge boost. salazzle can act like a deadly set-up-pokémon due to flame charge and nasty plot. furthermore when salazzle is in the position with a +2 in spatt and +1 in speed it can act like a deadly pokémon which is hard to revenge kill.

Eject Pack Pivot

Salazzle (F) @ Eject Pack
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic
- Disable / Encore

Salazzle can use Overheat for a powerful way of maintaining momentum, guaranteeing you can catch any switches. Toxic with Corrosion is a useful tool for any team to poison Toxapex, Ferrothorn, Corviknight, etc. After the Eject Pack is consumed, Salazzle can still put in work with dual stab attacks and the utility move of your choice.
