In Depth:
Empoleon
Modest / Torrent / Chople Berry
EV: 156 HP / 100 Speed / 252 SpA

Role: Empoleon is my lead. He has been doing quite great, actually, being able to 2HKO most other lead Pokemon with 2 Hydro Pumps. I equiped him with a Chople Berry so leads with Fighting-type attacks won't be able to take him down (and so that he stands a chance against those annoying Infernapes). Aqua Jet is very handy to finish off Pokemon with only a little bit HP left or to do one final attack before his inevitable demise. Ice Beam comes in handy when I need an attack with a bit more accuracy than Hydro Pump.
Tyranitar
Adamant / Sand Stream / Life Orb
EV: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
Role: Three Pokemon in my team are immune to Sand Storm, making his Sand Stream ability quite useful. Whenever I manage to pull off one of two Dragon Dances Tyranitar becomes an unstoppable monster, being able to OHKO most Pokemon with one Crunch or Stone Edge. I usually try to switch him in whenever I predict a Psychic attack and know that the Pokemon doing that attack has no significant means of threatening Tyranitar, giving me the opportunity for at least one Dragon Dance.
Alakazam
Timid / Synchronize / Choice Specs
EV: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 SpD

Role: Alakazam's high Special Attack and versatile movepool make him a great Special Sweeper. Even without the Choice Scarf Alakazam is able to outspeed a lot of Pokemon and the extra boost from Choice Specs gives his Special Attack the boost it needs to be able to OHKO a lot of Pokemon. I tried running a Scarf set and it proved to be a lot less useful, so I decided to stick with this. Alakazam is equiped with Hidden Power Fire so that he can easily take down those annoying Steel-types.
Scizor
Adamant / Technician / Life Orb
EV: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
- Brick Break
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor
Role: Scizor has always been my favourite Pokemon, so when I noticed that he is a great physical sweeper I did not think twice about putting him in my team. I always try to pull of a Swords Dance when I think it is possible. This combined with Technician, Life Orb and a STABed Bullet Punch makes Scizor capable of OHKOing a lot and 2HKOing nearly everything. Should I be able to pull off a second Swords Dance I probably already won the fight. Steel types that resist most damage of my Bullet Punch get killed off with Brick Break.
Salamence
Naughty / Intimidate / Life Orb
EV: 232 Atk / 252 Spe / 24 SpA

Role: A Dragon Danced Outrage can 2HKO almost everything and if I can manage to pull off a second Dragon Dance before my Outrage Salamence could sweep an entire team (it has done so before). Weavile's equiped with Ice Shard are my main problem though. Their STABed priority move combined with Salamence's 4x weakness to Ice ensures its demise by the hand of any Weavile, so that is usually my cue to switch out Salamence (as long as he isn't stuck in his Outrage, that is).
Weavile
Jolly / Pressure / Expert Belt
EV: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
- Ice Shard
- Ice Punch
- Brick Break
- Pursuit
Role: My own Dragonslayer. Should Salamence's Outrage for whatever reason fail to take down any Dragon, I will still have Weavile and his Ice Shard to finish the job. Pursuit works great against Psychic types trying to switch out and Brick Break is useful against Normal types. Overall Weavile is a great revenge killer and he even won a 3-vs-1 match for me once. However, I only put Weavile into the team in the first place because I could not think of a suitable 6th member to compliment the rest of the team. So I am more than willing to listen to any suggestions for a 6th member.
