[OVERVIEW]
* Palafin-Hero boasts the highest Attack stat in the game, exceeding those of even the previously seen Restricted Pokemon such as Groudon and the now nerfed Zacian-C. It has good defenses and a helpful base 100 Speed Stat which lets it outrun popular Pokemon such as Gholdengo, Hydreigon, and Ceruledge.
* Palafin-Hero keeps Pokemon such as Lycanroc and Ground Tera Garchomp in check while possessing strong priority in Jet Punch for most other Pokemon. Palafin loves being paired with Pelipper which sets rain for it, allowing it to wreak havoc with Tera Water-boosted attacks. However, Palafin-Hero struggles against dual screens and smart Intimidate cycling which makes use of Pokemon that resist its attacks such as Amoonguss so one should bring appropriate countermeasures. Meowscarada piloted under Tailwind can also give Palafin-Hero issues and one should, therefore, account for it when using Palafin.

* Flip Turn does good damage thanks to the Choice Band boost and serves as a great positioning tool for Palafin, allowing it to switch to an ally such as Pelipper which sets rain, powering up Palafin when it comes back in its Hero forme later, allowing it to clean up more easily.
* Ice Punch serves to hit Dragon- and Grass-types such as Hydreigon and Meowscarada. Close Combat is used alternatively to have a good way of hitting opposing Water-types and Steel Tera Hydreigon.
* Choice Band shoots up Palafin's already phenomenal Attack stat to astronomical levels, allowing it to OHKO or near OHKO even resists such as Rotom-W and Meowscarada.
* The HP and Defense investments allow Palafin-Hero to always survive Jolly Meowscarada's Flower Trick. 124 Attack EVs achieve the same Attack stat as that of 132 after the Choice Band boost due to the latter resulting in an odd number and the rest are put into Special Defense.
* The Water Tera type greatly boosts the power of Palafin-Hero's already strong Water-type moves. This, combined with rain and Choice Band, makes it a threat demanding a lot of respect on the field.

* Flip Turn is a useful move to reposition the board state, switching Palafin out and activating Zero to Hero.
* Choice Scarf gives Palafin the jump on faster Pokemon such as Meowscarada and Kilowattrel, allowing it to heavily damage them or chip them and switch out via Flip Turn.
* The Speed EVs coupled with the Choice Scarf allow Palafin-Hero to outspeed Kilowattrel and thus, other key Pokemon such as Meowscarada. The HP EVs optimize chip damage from sandstorm and the rest are poured into bulk.
* The Water Tera type heightens the power of Palafin-Hero's Water-type moves, allowing it to deal immense amounts of damage, especially under rain.
