Wait I can still submit!
They said Raptors are the closest relatives to the birds...
Name: Dromeopard (Dromaeosaur + Leopard)
Original Pokemon: Walking Wake
Typing:
Abilities: Pressure / Water Absorb | HA:
Storm Stalker
Stats: 99 HP / 77 Atk / 87 Def / 117 SpA / 71 SpD / 109 Spe [560 BST]
New Moves: Air Slash, Acrobatics, Air Cutter, Aerial Ace, Roost, Feather Dance, Tailwind, Defog, Taunt, Aero Burst*, Thunderbolt, Meteor Beam
Removed Moves: Flip Turn, Hydro Pump, Chilling Water, Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Surf, Liquidation, Water Pulse, Whirlpool, Scald
Custom Effects:
Aero Burst - 80 BP | Special | 10 PP | 100% Acc | Lowers target's Special Defense by 1 stage if used while harsh sunlight is active.
Storm Stalker - Under the effects of Rain, this Pokémon's Water, Flying and Electric moves deal ×1.2 damage. (Bro 1.3 is too nuts)
Role: Fast and powerful multi weather abuser! Dromeopard enters as a fast Dragon type wallbreaker with powerful Flying type secondary STAB and access to respectful coverage that allows it to punch holes in a lot of standard defensive cores. Like Walking Wake of old, Dromeopard is a Mon built to abuse one Weather but has the means to abuse another, in this case it's a Rain sweeper that can be ran on Sun with its two signature moves benefiting. Make no mistake though, Dromeopard primarily breaks Pokémon with its high BP STABs, particularly Hurricane which gets boosted in rain thanks to its signature ability Storm Stalker, making it much harder to switch into.
Immoveable wall in front an unstoppable object...
Name: Ceraleo (Ceratopsian + Leo)
Original Pokemon: Gouging Fire
Typing:
Abilities: Pressure / Inner Focus | HA:
Blistering Rage
Stats: 109 / 105 / 115 / 87 / 51 / 91 [560 BST]
New Moves: Flash Cannon, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Will-O-Wisp, Gyro Ball, Heavy Slam, Hard Press, Steel Beam, Metal Burst, Metal Claw, Iron Defense, Meteor Beam
Removed Moves: Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Cheer, Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Scale Shot, Breaking Swipe, Dragon Dance
Custom Effects:
Blistering Rage - While this Pokémon is confused, it's Attack is raised by 1 stage at the end of the turn. Immune to self inflicted confusion damage (but not the turn skip).
Ceraleo is a powerful tank with very high physical defense, held in check by it's abysmally low SpD. Still, it's defensive typing let's it switch into many threats and reliable recovery will always be useful for it. Swords Dance also helps keep it as a potential offensive threat as well, as Heat Crash and Heavy Slam are both very powerful moves.
Will you hear him or see him first...
Name: Brontotigre (Brontosaurus + Tigre)
Original Pokemon: Raging Bolt
Typing:
Abilities: Pressure / Volt Absorb | HA:
Defiant
Stats: 139 / 113 / 73 / 107 / 69 / 59 [560 BST]
New Moves: Close Combat, Superpower, Heat Crash, Boomburst, Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, Bulk Up, Seismic Toss, Vacuum Wave, Iron Defense, Meteor Beam
Removed Moves: Draco Meteor, Calm Mind, Outrage, Dragon Cheer, Dragon Tail, Breaking Swipe, Dragon Hammer
Custom Effects:
Thunderclap - 75 BP | Physical | 8 PP | Sound Based | +1 Priority | 100% Acc | Move fails if target used a status move this turn.
Role: I played the game, and realized that my favourite Pokemon to use (that Ground/Ghost) has very little reason to be seriously ran in comparison to other Electric checks. I also noted that, if you don't have a scarfer, revenge killing alot of prominent Pokémon is a pain. This right here, is the solution. Brontotigre introduces the classic bulky Bulk Up user to our esteemed metagame, with two fun signature moves to compensate for not having a signature ability like it's two friends. Thunderclap is the existing signature reworked to being physical, to better reflect it's status as a physically inclined Pokemon.
