Also known as Sheep by some, Parroting is a simple game. The aim is to match your answer with as many other players as possible without discussing anything with them, picking answers that you think everyone else will pick. There is no such thing as an incorrect answer, so if I ask "the strongest Pokemon" and everybody replies "Bananas," then that was the best parrot answer. Points are determined by how many people parroted an answer; if 13 people answered "ajhockeystar," then those 13 people get 13 points each; if 7 people answered "Rufflet" then those 7 people get 7 points each, and so on.
Questions are asked in sets of 10; after four sets I'll call the game and the person with the most points will be declared the winner. There is no talking to other players about your answers at all. People will send me their responses by PM, either here on Smogon or on Discord (I’m in the Circus Maximus discord).
If you wish to play, simply send me the answers to the first round of questions! Once you do I will put your name on the playerlist. Here's Round 1, with the category of Pokémon:
1. What is the coolest OU Flying type?
2. Name a Unova gym leader.
3. If you were making a team of Pokémon that was only one Pokédex colour, what colour would you pick?
4. Name a Dragon-type move.
5. Which starter would you pick in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?
6. Name an Ultra Beast.
7. Name an ability that starts with U.
8. Which choice item is the best?
9. Name a Pokémon from Gen 4 which is an evolution of a Pokémon introduced in a previous generation.
10. If you were a Pokémon, what type would you want to be?
The deadline for the first round will be March 2nd at 6pm EST, unless I don't get enough answers. And remember, no discussing answers with anyone else!
Also, there is one change to the rules that I haven’t instated before. It’s more fun if the game is played organically, so if I see anyone trying to submit “non-real” answers that they want others to piggyback off of, I’ll disallow the submission. For example, submitting “Bananas” for everything with the hope that everyone will answer “Bananas” for all their Round 2 answers takes away from the spirit of the game imo.
