Passimian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Receiver
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Earthquake / Gunk Shot

Passimian has managed to find a place for itself in NU following its recent departure from PU, separating itself from other Fighting-types in the tier due to its ability to pivot out against common Fighting checks in Slowbro and Golbat, its access to solid coverage options in Knock Off, Earthquake, and Gunk Shot, and its ability to outpace and offensively check major threats such as Sneasel and Toxicroak when holding a Choice Scarf. U-turn is a major part of what makes Passimian so threatening, as it allows Passimian to bring wallbreakers like Guzzlord and Vanilluxe in for free against Passimian's defensive switch-ins. Passimian's high Attack, hard-hitting STAB Close Combat, and previously mentioned coverage options are important to note, since they give Passimian an easier time forcing switches. Passimian also boasts decent bulk for an offensive pivot, allowing it to take hits from Pokemon like Steelix, Scrafty, and Gigalith before retaliating. However, Passimian's middling Speed leaves it vulnerable to certain faster Choice Scarf users such as Delphox and Scyther, so pairing it with Pokemon that can take advantage of them such as Slowbro and Rhydon is ideal.

Passimian has managed to find a place for itself in NU following its recent departure from PU, separating itself from other Fighting-types in the tier due to its ability to pivot out against the tier's most common Fighting checks in Slowbro, Palossand, and Golbat; access to solid coverage options in Knock Off, Earthquake, and Gunk Shot; and ability to outpace and offensively check major threats such as Sneasel, Heliolisk, and Whimsicott not a necessity but might want to add croak here, revenging it is really valueable rn when holding a Choice Scarf. U-turn is a major part of what makes Passimian so threatening, as it can make use of its naturally high Attack, hard-hitting STAB Close Combat, and previously mentioned coverage moves to force numerous switches and very easily pivot into dangerous wallbreakers such as Venusaur and Guzzlord that can take advantage of Passimian's defensive switch-ins and appreciate not having to directly switch into attacks. this whole sentence is kinda convoluted, at first you make a point about how u-turn is one of the contributing factors as to why passimian is so good, however, you then go onto to talk about its naturally high attack and hard hitting close combat (just a fyi i get the point you're trying to convey here, its just kinda jumbled up). make a point originally about u-turn and how it allows wallbreakers to come in more easily, then you can go onto talk about high attack stat and hard hitting close combat Passimian also boasts decent bulk for an offensive pivot, allowing it to stomach neutral attacks from Pokemon like Steelix should it predict incorrectly. last part doesn't fully make sense to me; "should it predict incorrectly" seems kinda fluff, just mention it can come in on a surprising amount of pokemon thanks to its natural passable bulk, such as lix, scrafty, gigalith etc However, Passimian's middling Speed leaves it vulnerable to certain faster Choice Scarf users such as Delphox and Scyther, so pairing it with Pokemon that can take advantage of them such as Slowbro and Rhydon is ideal.
this is really well written, 1/1 once implemented
