★ Pet Mods Halloween Calendar (Prompt 7)

1790886237920.png

Name: Buckeller
Typing: :steel:
Abilities: Iron Barbs / Weak Armour / Sturdy
Stats: 100/90/115/65/75/55 (500)
Competitive Moves: Rapid Spin, Spikes, Iron Head, U-Turn, Shell Smash, Gyro Ball, Iron Defense, Knock Off, Earthquake, Body Press, Spiky Shield, Seed Bomb

Weight: 30 kg
Height: 0.4 m
Colour: Brown
Role/Justifications: One of my favourite things to do in the autumn when i was a kid was to play Conkers, so I thought a conker mon might be interesting, the idea is that the spiky outer shell is like some kind of metal armour, while its true body is on the inside. Buckeller is a bulky hazard setter and physical tank / shell smash set-up mon. Iron barbs allows it to punish foes if they try to use contact, while sturdy is great to make sure it can get a shell smash up, or you could alternatively just use its great natural bulk to tank a hit for shell smash, and instead run weak armor to hopefully get that speed boost and sweep.
Rapid Spin, Spikes, Iron Head, U-Turn, Shell Smash, Gyro Ball, Iron Defense, Knock Off, Earthquake, Body Press, Spiky Shield, Seed Bomb, Protect, Rest, Round, Snore, Substitute, Endure, Sleep Talk, Facade, Steel Beam, Swagger, Frustration, Hidden Power, Return, Confide, Double Team, Rock Slide, Flash Cannon, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Secret Power, Attract, Magnet Rise, Rock Smash, Sunny Day, Rock Tomb, Metal Sound, Sandstorm, Tackle, Screech, Rain Dance, Bulldoze, Headbutt, Metal Claw, Steel Roller, Aerial Ace, Body Slam, Brick Break, Natural Gift

Dex entry:
It is a spirit that puppeteers a pile of dead leaves. It is said that it hides in the forest, waiting for an unsuspecting victim to pass by so that it may suck the moisture out of them and turn them to stone.

Blurb:
Litturne is inspired by the leaf litters that you'd find all over the place during autumn. I took inspiration from Gourgeist and Trevenant when making this mon, and I think it turned out pretty well. It's designed to be like a spooky creature that you'd find deep in the woods who makes sure you're never heard from again.
Its shiny is Leaf Green.
Litturne is rock/ghost type rather than grass/ghost because the leaves that it puppeteers are dead. Like Lurantis, Litturne is actually one type of creatrue masquerading as another type of creature. Might've gone a bit overboard with the movepool.

Design loosely based on :equilibra:, art was drawn by me (i suck at art) during a statistics class so sorry about the lack of color and the poor quality
Pokemon: Clereqal (Clear + Equal, pronounced Clerical) - Two Forms: Clereqal and Clereqal-Corrupted (if possible, does not revert on switchout)

1790971289063.png

Design: Crown connected by branches to a leaf face, body is a tree stump, arms are tree branches that hold something like straw baskets, somewhat in a balanced fashion like Equilibra or a balance scale in general.
Other: weighs 100kg, 1m tall, Genderless, Egg Group is Undiscovered

Clereqal-Corrupted:
Type: :poison::dark:
Stats:
108 HP / 96 Atk / 48 Def / 132 SpA / 60 SpD / 120 Spe / 564 BST
Equinox - :poison: / Special / 75 BP / 100% Acc / PP 16
Effects: Cures the foe's party of all status conditions. For each foe cured, +25 power. Changes form to Clereqal.
1790971315000.png

Design: Crown is broken, eyes are now red, and stump is broken, giving it legs. Branches are broken off and gunk is coming out, roughly forming arms.
Other: Weighs 25kg, 1m tall, Genderless, Egg Group is Undiscovered

:grass: Aromatherapy, Bullet Seed, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Grass Knot, Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Leech Seed, Seed Bomb, Strength Sap, Stun Spore, Synthesis, Absorb, Branch Poke, Forest's Curse, Frenzy Plant, Grassy Terrain, Ingrain, Leafage, Magical Leaf, Mega Drain, Razor Leaf, Solar Beam
:fairy: Alluring Voice, Moonblast, Moonlight, Nature's Madness, Dazzling Gleam, Disarming Voice, Fairy Wind, Floral Healing
:poison: Clear Smog, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Acid Spray, Poison Sting, Purify, Venom Drench, Venoshock
:dark: Dark Pulse, Foul Play, Lash Out, Night Slash, Pursuit, Sucker Punch, Taunt, Brutal Swing, Payback, Power Trip, Punishment, Snarl, Torment,
Other: Calm Mind, Curse, Destiny Bond, Disable, Earth Power, Hex, Protect, Psychic, Rest, Shadow Ball, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Tera Blast, Wish, Astonish, Bestow, Endure, Infestation, Natural Gift, Nature Power, Safeguard, Scary Face, Spite, Sunny Day, Worry Seed
Clereqal are typically found as peaceful rulers of the forest, rarely engaging in direct combat. As a ruler, it must be able to deal with any miscreants, so it uses its scales to judge Pokemon and deal with those judged to have done wrong. Usually though, it just helps other Pokemon by healing them.
However, when a Clereqal is attacked and harmed, it can easily lose control. With this loss of control, it transforms into a vengeful, twisted entity that is nearly the opposite of its usual state. As this occurrence became more and more common with humans venturing deeper into forests, these enraged Clereqals became known as Clereqal-Corrupted. For a long time, once a Clereqal transformed into a Clereqal-Corrupted, it was completely permanent, and with its aggressiveness, humans could not tame it.
This all changed when a Clereqal was first befriended and caught by a human, and afterwards became corrupted. Through the bond between the trainer and the Clereqal, the Clereqal was able to regain its senses after rampaging in its corrupted form. Eventually, more trainers were able to adopt this method, and the corrupted form started being used in trainer battles. Although this method is considered unethical, certain trainers are willing to use this method in order to be victorious.
In base form, Clereqal can easily fulfill the role of a cleric (hence the pronunciation "clerical"), which I think is amazing for a format since clerics are honestly limited in most formats and getting one in early opens up flexibility with the status game. It is able to be a fatass that just sits there and clicks Strength Sap or Aromatherapy or Leech Seed or Nature's Madness or whatever it wants. It can also setup with Calm Mind while still being bulk. This can be used to synergize with the corrupted form, in which Clereqal is a lot frailer in exchange for becoming much faster and stronger. The signature move Equinox is built around curing status conditions, where the base form version is similar to Aromatherapy while the corrupted form version is similar to Purify or Venoshock.
Clereqal represents change, just how seasons change into autumn, which acts also as a kind of transition between summer and winter. Specifically, I themed Clereqal around the autumn equinox, where daytime and nighttime are equal. I reflected this in the typing, with Fairy and Grass representing the light and life of daytime and Dark and Poison representing the, well, darkness and dangers lurking at nighttime. This balance was also represented in the stats, where 108 (HP, the only stat that doesn't change across form change) represents balance. The rest of the stats are also all multiples of 12, which are generally very balanced numbers. The scale-like balancing of the straw baskets in the base form also keeps with my theme of equalness and balance. Lorewise it also rules forests, which makes sense for autumn.

Random Battle Sets (as a two form Pokemon, there are many viable sets and many niche sets, so this can easily be changed)

Prompt:1
Pokemon: Ternfall-The Migatory Pokemon
Rarity: Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon
Typing: Flying|Ice
Evolutionary Line: Fully Evolved, Two Pre Evos that are unnamed and it evolves at lvl 54 into ternfall
Abilities: Endurance
Stats: 95 hp|105 atk| 85 def|110 SpA|85 SpD|120 Spe Total = 600

Description | Dex Entry (for both red and green) : Rarely seen throughout the year, this Pokemon only shows itself in the earliest fall weather to mate and then migrates, leaving a few red-orange feathers behind.
Special Ability: Endurance | The Pokemon receives a 1.5x Spe boost when exposed to Weather or Stat Nerfs
Movepool: Acrobatics, Aerial Ace, Agility, Air Cutter, Air Slash, Blizzard, Brave Bird, Body Press, Drill Peck, Double Edge, Fly, Freeze-Dry, Gust, Hurricane, Haze, Hone Claws, Ice Beam, Ice Spinner, Icicle Spear, Icy Wind, Magical Leaf, Powder Snow, Protect, Quick Attack, Rain Dance, Razor Leaf, Roost, Snowscape, Sunny Day, Safeguard, Sky Attack, Tailwind, Trailblaze, U-turn, Weather Ball, Whirlwind.
Egg Moves: Defog, Dual Wingbeat.

Sets:
Ternfall @ Heavy Duty Boots
Evs: 252 SpA | 4 SpD| 252 Spe
Ability: Endurance
-Snowscape
-Blizzard
-Tailwind
-Air Slash
Ternfall @ Sharp Beak/Heavy Duty Boots
EVs: 252 SpA| 4 Hp| 252 Spe
Ability: Endurance
-Brave Bird
-Freeze-Dry
-Protect
-Roost

Info:
Weight: 34 Kg
Height: 5'1
Wingspan: 11 feet
Gender Ratio: 75% male 25% female
Color: Grey
Egg Group: Undiscovered, Flying

Lore: Ternfall migrate by themselves, where they only meet up in early September to mate with females and to rest. People have made up a sport of seeing them during this time since they are so rare, there are only a few recorded sightings and people who have seen them have a few red and orange feathers that the Ternfall left behind as proof, if startled they attack fast with their sharp beaks and claws, leaving pokemon and humans alike injured. During their migrations they travel up to 34,000 meters south to warmer climates and they can carry up to 3x their own body weight.

Competitive role: Fast Physical Sweeper. Its a fast mon with high SpA, pretty easy. also it can control weather.

Flavor: When I think of autumn I mainly think of migration, thanksgiving, leaves, and Halloween, all of these were taken except for migration so I made a migration mon based off a Arctic Tern ( A bit winter themed ik) and I like made it a blind mon cause i like blindness for some reason. I like birbs and migration so I did this stuff. Pretty cool right.
So basically, the reason why it can control weather is because of its migration theme, when you migrate you change climates, meaning that you live constantly in different areas with different weathers, now this mon goes to sunny places in the winter and cold places to mate.

Notes:
Also my drawing is like not as detailed so the wings are supposed to be larger and some other stuff but eh
And I wanted to do the level up moves stuff but im lazy
Lastly my spoilers didnt work smh

every time this pokemon is hit by a move it permanently removes 0.1x from the stab multiplier of that move ex. after being hit by a fire type with overheat the fire type pokemon now has 1.4x on its stabs, if the fire type pokemon used dark pulse, no stab reduction would happen, for dual types the stab reduction happens to both stabs even if only hit by a move of one type of stab (if this is impossible to code id be fine with ability also just being removing on taking damage from corresponding stab move while its in)

The Headless Horseman is a staple of many myths and horror stories, with varying abilities and appearances. The Pumpkinhead comes from a lighter version of a Horseman carrying his head with him, while some simply have them entirely headless. Its movepool is mostly based on its haunting Ghost and Fire abilities, while also leaning into its Dark side. Some folktale consider the Horseman's horse to have thunder power.

Watching (Prompt 2)

Typing: :steel::psychic:
Stats: 132/84/84/108/84/48 BST: 560
Abilities: Levitate, Insomnia, Countdown
Weight: 999kg (The weight of your sins are impossible to carry)

CUSTOM ABILITY
Countdown:
Future Moves have 1.5x base power.

Boomburst, Future Sight, Recover, Doom Desire, Aura Sphere, Calm Mind, Automize, Shift Gear, Healing Wish, Wish, Iron Defense, Light Screen, Protect, Teleport, Stealth Rock, Thunder Wave, Trick Room, Cosmic Power, Gravity, Flash Cannon, Psychic, Psyshock, Substitute, Life Dew, Psychic Terrain, Expanding Force, Dazzling Gleam, Meteor Beam, Psychic Noise, Steel Beam, Thunderbolt, Protect, Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Meteor Mash, Gear Grind, Earthquake

A bulky mon with access to future moves! Able to reliably heal, allow other Pokemon to hit the field, set up trick room and Wish Pass, this mon has a little bit of everything! Also adds in hazards and T Wave to help slow down matches while threatening switch ins with high power Future Sights or Doom Desires.

Have you ever sat around the campfire and thought of what story to tell? You didn't want to tell one about a fictional monster so instead you told one about yourself, a memory the you held dear or want that you want to go away? Didn't you want to tell stories of the past or what you wish for in the future? No? Or maybe you have and just don't remember, that sounds like a nice story to tell at a campfire.

Watching is inspired by a small clock that you would use to tell the time! With elements from different periods of time and obvious gears sticking out next to the chrome coloring, this mon feels... out of place. Inspired by the idea of telling stories about your past or future by a campfire, Watching gives an overall creepy vibe to whatever you may have spoken about.

Dex entry in Pokemon Snaqoween Purple: Come one dearie, its time to wake up. You can't stay sleeping in the past forever, no matter how scary the future may seem. Fine, but only 5 more minutes. Then it's time for the future.
Dex entry in Pokemon Snaqoween Orange: Do not wish your life away my child, you may miss out on what's important. The bell doesn't chime for anyone, its time to stop reaching into the future and to look back into the past.

Prompt 2 Submission:
1790984513302.png

Will this one be colored? Who knows! I present to you all: Hauntmare

Name:
Hauntmare
Type:
1790984701254.png
1790984724368.png

Base Stats: 100 HP / 130 Atk / 75 Def / 60 SpAtk / 75 SpDef / 110 Spe / 550 BST
Abilities: Scrappy, Iron Barbs, Justified (hidden)
Custom Item: Old Hunter's Blade
  • Item Description: The chipped remnants of an old hunter's blade crafted from a Moon Stone. Adept hunters are said to hear the blade speaking to them, providing insight and warning of that which lurks in the night—even if that might be a fellow hunter.
  • Item Effect: When held by Hauntmare, their Fighting-type and Steel-type moves have 1.2x power. Once per battle, if Hauntmare is targeted by a Fighting-type move, they will add the Ghost-type to the attacker (similar to Trick-or-Treat) and avoid the attack by immediately using Phantom Force. Phantom Force will strike at the end of the following turn. This item cannot be removed under any circumstances.
Important Moves: Close Combat, Iron Head, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Throat Chop, Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Ruination, Zen Headbutt, High Horsepower, Triple Axel, Endeavor, Extreme Speed, Bulk Up, Destiny Bond, Taunt, Parting Shot, Agility, Magic Coat, Spikes, Swords Dance, Disable, Universal moves (Protect, Rest, etc.)
Counter, Final Gambit, Reversal, Low Kick, Superpower, Brick Break, Low Sweep, Rock Smash, Focus Blast, Aura Sphere, Steel Roller, Metal Claw, Steel Beam, Flash Cannon, Phantom Force, Night Shade, Shadow Ball, Bitter Malice, Hex, Punishment, Lash Out, Payback, Night Daze, Dark Pulse, Dream Eater, Psychic, Psyshock, Psychic Noise, Stomping Tantrum, Double-Edge, Take Down, Headbutt, Quick Attack, Scratch, Feint, Spike Cannon, Detect, Coaching, Quick Guard, Iron Defense, Metal Sound, Curse, Grudge, Spite, Nightmare, Torment, Cosmic Power, Gravity, Skill Swap, Speed Swap, Mean Look, Focus Energy, Foresight, Helping Hand, Leer, Psych Up, Scary Face
Pokédex Entries:
  • Senescent Red: Hauntmare turn up when Full Moons shine bright. They are known to extirpate local populations of Ghost-types wherever they appear.
  • Forever Green: Since ancient times, these Pokémon have aided humans in hunts for mighty beats. They are highly skilled at their craft and almost always successful.

What's a more compelling campfire story than walking nightmares that hunt the stuff of nightmares? Not much, which is why I believe that Hauntmare fits the prompt.

Hauntmare is heavily inspired by the video game Bloodborne. They have a torso resembling the Hunter's attire and a large spiked and bladed arm resembling one of the starting weapons: the Saw Cleaver. Hauntmare's head relates to the cosmos, specifically the Horse Head Nebula, which is also a reference to one of the game's bosses and to the "mare" part of Hauntmare's name. This same boss is the inspiration for the stylistic aspects of Hauntmare's custom item, the Old Hunter's Blade. There is also some minor inspiration from marionettes.

Of all my submissions for Halloween Calendar, this one will likely be the most important. If they get voted in, Hauntmare will be the Great Tusk / Landorus-Therian of Halloween Calendar. Fighting and Steel is an amazing type combination both offensively and defensively for any meta, but especially so for Hallowen Calendar. Unsurprisingly, there will likely be many Ghost, Dark, and Grass-types as we have already seen. It wouldn't surprise me if we also see some Fairy and Dragon-types as these are all fantastical and related to monsters and myth—perfect for the Halloween season. Hauntmare can launch powerful Close Combats into Dark-types and can also hit Ghost-types thanks to Scrappy. Iron Head deals with Fairy-types offensively. Defensively, Hauntmare shrugs off hits from Dark, Grass, Dragon, and Fairy-types. Although all of the Random Battles sets have Scrappy as their ability, Justified will have a niche in the builder-based format to better deal with Dark-types and especially Knock Off users. The Old Hunter's Blade cannot be removed by Knock Off, which makes Hauntmare an exceptional Knock Off absorber for the team. Given that Hauntmare will mold to so many teams, they need a way to deal with the mirror as speed ties will otherwise be annoying and uncompetitive. This is where the Old Hunter's Blade comes in. The Phantom Force effect is specifically meant to deal with opposing Hauntmare once per battle, forcing them out so that a speed tie that could seal the fate of the game can be avoided. Of course, this also aids Hauntmare against any other Pokémon with Fighting-type moves. Their great set diversity means that opponents won't know what is coming their way until Hauntmare already makes their mark—they will truly be adept at hunting this format's nightmares.
EDIT: Added a few more moves to the movepool (High Horsepower, Triple Axel, Stomping Tantrum, Dream Eater).

Deviper is mostly harmless and spends its time using its saliva to fastidiously clean things, which notably leaves glass spotless. Ironically, it is the most dangerous to bird Pokemon, who may accidentally run into the pristine glass it has cleansed. A humorous anecdote about a fictitious talking Deviper frightening a paranoid man over the phone has been told around campfires every now and again.
