Phanpy is weak and slow, and its Special Defense is horrible, which is something Abra, Snivy, and Omanyte can exploit.

Phanpy provides utility through Stealth Rock, which is useful against the likes Ponyta and Doduo, and Knock Off, which is useful because most Pokemon in Little Cup hold Eviolite. Despite Phanpy's access to Ice Shard as a form of priority, it is horrifically weak. Mudbray outclasses Phanpy as a Ground-type Stealth Rock setter due to its better stats and ability, and Sandshrew is a Ground-type Knock Off user that outclasses Phanpy thanks to its better bulk and access to Rapid Spin.

Include Phanpy's access to Knock Off along with Ice Shard, can generalize it into "useful moves". Mention that Mudbray's better stats along with better ability.

Remove the sentence about switching into Poison and Electric types, instead mention that while Phanpy does have Ice Shard it's horrifically weak. Also might be worth adding a sentence about how Sandshrew is an alternative if you want a Ground-type with Knock Off access.

(moved the phrase that begins with "despite" to the start of the sentence to clarify what you're referring to with the various "it"s, and changed "because of" to "due to" to avoid repeating "because") Phanpy is weak, (remove comma) and slow, (comma; these changes made for parallelism) and its Special Defense is horrible, (comma) which is something Abra, Snivy, and Omanyte can exploit. (you need a comma before "which" if you're using it like this)
