[SET COMMENTS]
Giratina-O’s impressive bulk, good offensive typing, and access to coverage allow it to act as a hard-hitting Defogger that threatens many dominant Pokemon in the metagame. Levitate forces offensive Groudon lacking Toxic, as well as the rarer offensive Landorus-T, to Dynamax in order to break through it; it also prevents Giratina-O from getting chipped by Ferrothorn's Spikes. As Giratina-O doesn’t have an immediately threatening setup move, a 3-Attack set can be run. Poltergeist is its main attacking move, 2HKOing AG’s premier physical wall in Necrozma-DM; it can also scout items, which can assist teammates and help form a gameplan. Stone Edge is nearly exclusively for Yveltal; it also threatens an OHKO against pivoting Ho-Oh. Shadow Sneak allows Giratina-O to OHKO Calyrex-S without it going first, a quality unique to a select few bulky Pokemon. In conjunction with Defog, it also allows Giratina-O to prevent many suicide leads from setting up hazards, as well as force mindgames against others, like Taunt Aerodactyl and Steel Beam Excadrill. Alternatively, Will-O-Wisp helps it check Groudon lacking Lum Berry more effectively. Giratina-O’s investment in HP and Attack prevents a OHKO from Adamant Life Orb Groudon’s Max Rockfall at +2, while allowing it to check other Pokemon like Kyogre as well as possible.

Giratina-O is best used on offensive teams that appreciate its role compression as a Groudon and Calyrex-S check, while also acting as a bulky Defogger; slower-paced teams have trouble supporting it due to its lack of recovery outside of Rest. This lack of recovery means it shouldn’t be the only check to powerful threats like Kyogre and Groudon, and Pokemon like Eternatus, Zygarde-C, and Yveltal work well with it. Yveltal in particular supplies the team with more options against Calyrex-S, can pivot into Marshadow, and is an incredible breaker with Life Orb; it works best with Giratina-O sets running Will-O-Wisp. Opposing Xerneas, Yveltal, and Eternatus may prove problematic for Giratina-O, and so Zacian-C is an especially good partner that fits right into offensive builds. Out of the three aforementioned threats Yveltal is the scariest to Giratina-O, and so other checks like Xerneas may prove useful. Offensive Aromatherapy users, specifically Choice Scarf Xerneas and Calyrex-S, are solid partners as well, as Giratina-O strongly dislikes getting hit by Groudon's Toxic. Groudon can check most Zygarde and Zekrom variants, and appreciates Giratina-O’s ability to check Kyogre and Calyrex-S. The omnipresent Necrozma-DM can help Giratina-O with most physical attackers giving it a hard time, being able to withstand attacks from threats like Zekrom and defensive Yveltal. In return Giratina-O can pivot into Zacian-C, especially if the opponent has a Gothitelle. While Giratina-O can function as a Defogger, hazards can wear it down when a Pokemon that can easily stomach its attacks like Ferrothorn; a Pokemon that offensively pressures it, like Ho-Oh or Marshadow, is valued.

Thunder Wave can be used as well, if Giratina-O’s teammates are on the slower side - the potential extra turns granted from opposing paralysis is valuable.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Yveltal**: With access to Roost, Yveltal can easily check most Giratina-O sets. Offensive sets don’t mind Giratina-O’s burn much, and defensive sets can often break through it with Taunt and Foul Play.

**Fairy-types**: The likes of Zacian-C and Xerneas can threaten Giratina-O with Play Rough and Moonblast. They’re also bulky enough to switch into Poltergeist and then survive a Shadow Sneak.

**Marshadow**: If Marshadow comes in safely, it can offensively threaten Giratina-O with Poltergeist.

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Physical walls not weak to Ghost-type attacks can take on Giratina-O without much trouble. In particular Ferrothorn can comfortably switch into Poltergeist, heal a considerable amount with Leech Seed and Leftovers, and threaten non-Rest sets with Toxic. Another example is defensive Zygarde-C, which can paralyze or poison Giratina-O and is bulky enough to stay in with Rest.

Giratina-O’s impressive bulk, good offensive typing, and access to coverage allow it to act as a hard-hitting Defogger that threatens many dominant Pokemon in the metagame. Levitate forces two prominent Ground-types in Groudon and Landorus-T to Dynamax in order to break through it. Not sure if having them dynamax is the right example, both can carry Toxic and whittle it down but if you mean like Life Orb sets for both then specify, because its lack of recovery is important and it doesn't do too much damage w the physical set to them. Shadow Sneak allows Giratina-O to OHKO Calyrex-S without it going first, a quality unique to a select few bulky Pokemon. In conjunction with Defog, it also allows Giratina-O to prevent fast suicide leads bar Slurpuff from setting up hazards. Not sure if this is accurate, stuff like aero with Taunt or Explosion lando / Steel Beam drill can still prevent fog and get in something that beats gira-o. Lack of recovery should be mentioned either somewhere here or in the next paragraph when talking about Xerneas who can use aromatherapy to be a cleric since it's a big issue for gira getting chipped by rocks and stray hits.

Giratina-O can run Hone Claws instead of Defog or Will-O-Wisp, if a purely offensive set is preferred; running the move with Stone Edge may allow the user to KO an opposing Yveltal. This set is near unusable I've tried it, you'd need Dual Wingbeat for speed as well and losing utility just isn't worth it Thunder Wave can be used as well, if Giratina-O’s teammates are on the slower side - the potential extra turns granted from opposing paralysis is valuable.

QC 1/2, might message on discord if I see anything else minor to change but it looks alright so far, just the same thing I said with xern can apply the teammates section is a little chunky for one set on a mediocre mon and can maybe be cut down a bit.
