Piloswine's typing, huge bulk, and Thick Fat let it serve as a Stealth Rock setter that has good matchups against some Stealth Rock setters such as Rhydon and Galarian Stunfisk. Earthquake and Icicle Crash form a formidable STAB combination, hitting relevant targets such as Skuntank, Silvally-Ghost, and Rotom-S. Ice Shard allows Piloswine to revenge kill weakened foes such as Shiftry and Silvally-Ground. Thick Fat lets Piloswine switch into the likes of Rapidash and Froslass.

Piloswine fits best on bulky offensive teams that appreciate its ability to take hits and consistently set Stealth Rock. Water-types such as Wishiwashi, Poliwrath, and Cramorant are problematic for Piloswine; checks to them such as Ferroseed and Cramorant are appreciated. Fighting-types like Sawk, Gurdurr, and the aforementioned Poliwrath greatly pressure Piloswine. Partners such as Rotom-S, Qwilfish, and Garbodor can alleviate this weakness; the former can provide VoltTurn support, while the latter two can wear down problematic foes such as Cofagrigus and Jellicent with Spikes and Toxic Spikes.

Toxic allows Piloswine to wear down foes like Cofagrigus, Poliwrath, Pyukumuku, and Wishiwashi. Stone Edge provides coverage against Frosmoth, Articuno, and Centiskorch. Superpower can be used to threaten Ferroseed, but it is generally less reliable than Piloswine's other moves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-types like Poliwrath, Wishiwashi, Pyukumuku, and Cramorant are able to switch into Piloswine and force it out, with Cramorant also removing Stealth Rock. Although they cannot directly switch into Piloswine, offensive Water-types like Basculin and Ludicolo can threaten to KO it.

**Fighting-types and Fighting-type Coverage**: Fighting-types like Sawk, Gurdurr, and Poliwrath pressure Piloswine immensely. Pokemon that carry Fighting-type coverage like Body Press Cofagrigus also threaten Piloswine.

**Grass-types**: Even though they cannot switch into Piloswine and fear being revenge killed by Ice Shard if weakened, Shiftry and Ferroseed are able to threaten Piloswine; the former forces Piloswine out, while the latter weakens Piloswine with Leech Seed and Knock Off and heavily damages it with Gyro Ball. Tangela is able to tank hits from Piloswine and cripple it with Toxic and Knock Off or KO it with Leaf Storm or Giga Drain.

**Residual Damage**: Given Piloswine's lack of recovery, residual damage from entry hazards and status can wear it down over the course of the battle.

Piloswine finds a niche in ZU thanks to its typing and ability Thick Fat that let it serve as a Stealth Rock setter that has good matchups against other Stealth Rock setters such as Rhydon and Palossand. Earthquake + Icicle Crash form a formidable STAB combination, hitting relevant targets such as Magmortar, Drampa, and Rotom-S. Ice Shard allows Piloswine to revenge kill weakened foes such as Silvally-Dragon and Silvally-Ground. Thick Fat lets Piloswine switch into the likes of Vanilluxe and Froslass.

Water-types such as Wishiwashi, Poliwrath, and Cramorant are problematic for Piloswine, as they can greatly weaken it with their STAB moves or cripple it with a potential Scald burn or Toxic poison. Checks to them such as Ferroseed and Clefairy are appreciated, absorbing status and weakening them with Knock Off; Clefairy can also provide Wish support, keeping Piloswine healthy. Mention how Piloswine helps Clefairy in return, checking Poison-types like Garbodor and Skuntank. Mention rotom-s, pivoting on these Water-types as well as checking Fighting-types that threaten pilo like sawk is great. Qwilfish also checks most Water-types and Fighting-types simultaniously while providing hazard support so that should be mentioned. reorganize / reword as needed Fighting-types like Sawk, Gurdurr, and the aforementioned Poliwrath greatly pressure Piloswine. Partners such as Garbodor and Cofagrigus can alleviate this weakness while also providing Spikes and Toxic Spikes support, wearing down problematic Pokemon like Jellicent and opposing Cofagrigus from repeatedly switching in.

Toxic allows Piloswine to wear down opposing foes like Cofagrigus, Poliwrath, Pyukumuku, and Wishiwashi. (Put Stone Edge here). Superpower can be used to threaten Ferroseed, but it is generally less reliable than Piloswine's other moves. Freeze-Dry is an option to hit opposing Water-types, but Piloswine has a mediocre Special Attack. Freeze Dry should be removed, it does the same damage to phys def Poliwrath and pyuku and you dont even OHKO Cramorant without investment when its 4x super effective.

Stone Edge should def be in OO, its the only thing that prevents Piloswine from becoming setup fodder for Frosmoth and OHKOs Cramorant and even like Centiskorch which technically can 1v1 you otherwise.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Water-types**: Water-types like Basculin, Wishiwashi, and Cramorant are able to pressure Piloswine with their STAB moves. I think it makes more sense to mention bulky Water-types that can switch directly into pilo first like poliwrath, pyuku, etc and then mention more offensive water types like basc and omastar. also mention the fact that cramorant disrupts pilo's ability to keep rocks on the field.

**Fighting-types and Fighting-type Coverage**: Although they cannot directly switch into Piloswine, Fighting-types like Sawk, Gurdurr, and Poliwrath pressure Piloswine immensely. Both Phys def Poliwrath and even Gurdurr can reasonably switch into Piloswine so this should be reworded accordingly. Pokemon that carry Fighting-type coverage like Focus Blast Magmortar and Close Combat Lycanroc also threaten Piloswine.

**Grass-types**: Although they hate taking Icicle Crash and Ice Shard, Grass-types such as Ferroseed, Shiftry, and Tangela can weaken and KO Piloswine.

this is worded poorly since 1. ferroseed takes more from eq than icicle crash and 2. Tangela doesnt care about taking crash because of its bulk, regen, and even giga drain. Instead I would reword this and mention how Shiftry and Ferroseed cant switch into Piloswine directly but Shiftry can force pilo out if its at full health while Ferroseed can stall out Piloswine with Leech Seed + Protect, threaten to cripple it with Knock, and/or deal decent damage with Gyro Ball. Tangela outright walls Pilo and threatens to cripple it with Knock, Toxic, or just take it out with giga drain or leaf storm.

**residual damage**:

Piloswine finds a niche in ZU thanks to its typing, huge bulk, and ability Thick Fat that let it serve as a Stealth Rock setter that has good matchups against some other Stealth Rock setters (it has a poor matchup against Uxie and Miltank) such as Rhydon and Palossand. Earthquake + Icicle Crash form a formidable STAB combination, hitting relevant targets such as Skuntank, Lycanroc, and Rotom-S. Ice Shard allows Piloswine to revenge kill weakened foes such as Shiftry and Silvally-Ground. Thick Fat lets Piloswine switch into the likes of Vanilluxe, Rapidash, and Froslass (Mentioning a Fire-type is important imo).

Water-types such as Wishiwashi, Poliwrath, and Cramorant are problematic for Piloswine, as they can greatly weaken it with their STAB moves or cripple it with a potential Scald burn or Toxic poison -> that's something for CC. Water-type checks to them such as Ferroseed and Clefairy Cramorant (Clef isn't a Water-type check, it's a special wall that happens to wall special water-types but fails to handle the likes of Band Poliwrath, Kingler, and Basculin) are appreciated, absorbing status and weakening them with Knock Off; Clefairy can also provide Wish support, keeping Piloswine healthy Wish Clef isn't relevant (it's pretty mediocre). Piloswine can return the favor by checking Poison-types like Garbodor and Skuntank for Clefairy. Mention somewhere that Piloswine fits at best on bulky offensive teams that appreciate its ability to sponge hits through the game and setup SR.

Therefore, gonna leave the first "are able to" alone.) threaten Piloswine; the former is able to can force Piloswine out, while the latter is able to can weaken Piloswine with Leech Seed and Knock Off and heavily damage it with Gyro Ball. Tangela is also able to (a different way of changing up "are/is able to" and works well the previous sentence imo.)tank hits from Piloswine and can cripple it with Toxic and Knock Off or KO it with Leaf Storm or Giga Drain.
