Week 1 was full of surprises. I don't know if anyone got close to 2/3 of their predictions correctly. However, fwiw, the games that did surprise me made me value the winners in a more positive light for the most part. I'm very curious how they'll hold up in the next few weeks. That being said, since I mostly pay attention to M4A, I have to say of the six players that have played so far, only one is a mainer. It will be interesting to see how well IsoCon will handle the other players, especially their different way of buiding and thinking. They're no slouch either; most of the teams I've seen were built fairly competently and relatively solid--I could say more but I want to see how players will progress from their knowledge and perspective first.

On another note: I was half surprised to not see any of the typical weather teams we had seen from last PMPL, with NatDex Rain being the most preferred choice for most of the non M4A players. So, it was a pleasant surprise to see most people actually trying to come up with new stuff in M4A. I'd loved to hear your thoughts on the metagame and our pool of Mega Pokémon once the tournament is over. And of course, I'd also be interested in whether you have fun while building and playing! From the looks of it, some of the players seem to enjoy playing with some of the rather underused Mega Pokémon.

Now, on a final note, I don't mean to come off condescending or insultung but I'd just like to emphasize that if someone uses a NatDex team, I hope they'll try to modify it to better adapt to the M4A environment. While there are similarities between NatDex and M4A, you have to account for certain threats and trends given the sheer number of custom Mega Pokémon we have. As in many games, you can expect about 10% of these Mega Pokémon to be highly competitively relevant, in my eyes. I'll be looking forward to seeing how players will go from here. You all have done a great job so far; take care and enjoy your time!

Comment: This is perhaps the battle of the week as far as M4A is concerned; you have two strong players. I do not know what kind of team to expect from TPP or IsoCon for this week. But I am a firm believer in IsoCon's knowledge that, coupled with this skills, will lead him to victory. You better play better this week, jkjk x)

Comment: Tempo di anguria has shown to make some really gutsy plays that can work in their favour. I don't know much about the skill difference between these two players but I'm going with Tempo, favouring a Doubles players myself. I expect some good or some insane predictions and plays but perhaps, hidin will surpriise us in the end? x)

Comment: I think this could be very close--4:4--, but I'm slightly more in favour of the Gensokyo Gourgeists. That being said, let's see what else dex will be cooking this time. I think they will emerge victorious given their skills andd decent amount of experience in the format from last pmpl.

Megas for All OU: IsoCon vs TPP - Both of these guys are coming off of wins last week, but I think IsoCon's prior M4A experience and better support will give them the edge here.
Hoenn Gaiden OU: Rezzo vs LustfulLice - I'm honestly shocked Rezzo was benched last week, he's easily one of the strongest HG players in the tour.
Fusion Evolution SV OU: earl vs Lasen - Lasen did win last week
Fakemon Frontier OU: Mossy Sandwich vs TTTech - I'm sorry for doubting you TTT... but the doubters will only make you stronger :pray:
Megas Revisited OU: Paulluxx vs Tanny89k - Goddamn, yall gotta give Tanny some room to breathe lol. This is another brutal matchup, but Tanny is fresh off a convincing win last week and Paul hasn't gotten warmed up yet, so I'm giving it to Tanny.
Multiverse OU: feen vs Rei - These guys are both still kinda unknown to me, but feen won last week.
Vaporemons OU: Baloor vs HydreigonTheChild - Baloor beat me, the choice is clear. Unironically though I seriously underestimated Paul's Vape experience - the Paul+Baloor Vape core is absolutely disgusting and I expect it to perform very well this PL.
Teramax OU: EeveeGirl1380 vs RoFnA - CCC has realized that nobody on their squad knows how to play Teramax and are struggling to find a good fit for the slot. Meanwhile, RoFnA is coming off a solid win last week and I expect to see a similar result this time around as well.

Megas Revisited OU: hellom vs Exotic64 - This is a tough one, but Exotic played well last week and claimed a win, so I think they can take it.
Multiverse OU: Lostmemories vs Mimilucha - LM won last week.
Vaporemons OU: Xrn vs Bobsican - The Bobsican Vape slot??????? Kinda fire but surely Xrn will know to prep for HStones stall.
Teramax OU: scionicle vs Taka - Tough call. scionicle is coming off a loss last week, but Taka has no experience with the tier besides potential SUPER SECRET PREP. Gonna give this one to Taka cause they've got Geko backing them up.

Paul v Tanny is def my highlight of the week, but besides that game I'm praying CCC crushes FaF so our tie last week looks cooler. ONE GOURGILLION WINS

Megas for All OU: IsoCon vs TPP - Both strong, Isocon is one of the few regular Pet Mods players who have managed to win against players of OST caliber so I think they got an edge.
Hoenn Gaiden OU: Rezzo vs LustfulLice - Rizzo is a regular, and lice choked a win against SEA last week.
Fusion Evolution SV OU: earl vs Lasen - Lasen won with my son Bouffa-Lu therefore I need to glaze him until the end of the tournament.
Fakemon Frontier OU: Mossy Sandwich vs TTTech - Cool matchup, usually i'd give it to tttech but Mossy is of the few players who played the meta beforehand, so he might bring a crazy prep.
Megas Revisited OU: Paul vs Tanny89k - I have downplayed Tanny way too much, will no longer do that since they are clearly a great player, and arguably the most active Megas Revisited player. Paul turbo ghosted the megas rev council so I have no choice but to hate.
Multiverse OU: feen vs Rei - Feen saved the Close Combat Comrades last week.
Vaporemons OU: Baloor vs HydreigonTheChild - Clearly The Paul and Baloor combo have been cooking, Hydrei doesn't have much support in this slot in comparison.
Teramax OU: Tack vs RoFnA - Similar case with baloor. EeveeGirl1380 vs RoFnA - Didn't expect them to take Tack out early, going with RoFnA who comes from a win.

Fusion Evolution SV OU: Zpice vs anaconja - Ana builds and plays better.
Fakemon Frontier OU: Copen vs zxgzxg - Zxgzxg's win was way more impressive and well excecuted.
Megas Revisited OU: tier vs 1yr - Don't know 1yr but Tier still looks strong.
Multiverse OU: TDNT vs Runo - Toss up, but going with TDNT cause he's the player with the higher price tag.
Vaporemons OU: Nashrock vs Beaf Cultist - I believe Beaf's prep is going to be superior to Nashrock.

tier vs 1yr: He not running the 1s.
TDNT vs Runo: TDNT has a cooler name because it has lots of capital letters.
Nashrock vs Beaf Cultist: Nashrock seemed like he kinda knows what's up last game ngl.
Baddy vs Clas: Clas + a meta I spearheaded is an award winning combination the choice is clear.

Not familiar enough with a lot of tiers or a lot of players but I think this might be how the matches shake out barring key hax. GL!
