Round XIII: Manipulation
As Rajny fell he left Gale with one more gift, potentially a key weakness in Tanka's actions. Would Gale be able to exploit this?

Joey rushes into the arena and immediately moves to control Venusaur's actions with Encore. Engineer had ordered Venusaur to Dodge to avoid this but some rules lawyering was put forth that Encore is only stopped by Dodge if it is used successfully. Seeing as how Venusaur is much too slow to do so vs Colossoil the command failed and the Encore went to the last successful move in Synthesis. What does that all mean from the flavor's standpoint? I have no idea because I can't ever think of a way to make Encore work realistically "in universe". Anyway, the end result is Venusaur sythesises itself to death while Gale wastes energy with a few additional attacks.

Will this lead to another rules debate? Perhaps with this getting overturned? Maybe it will lead to a change in Dodge's wording so that this won't happen in the future? Sorry for the rather meta round. Hopefully next round will be better.

Round XIV: A Reversal Of Fortune
With Tanka down the tide seems to have turned for Gale. What had at first seemed like a lost cause is now well within reach. He just needs to finish strong.

Tanka's replacement is the Tentacruel Kurage. Joey seems almost gleeful to see this opponent and despite taking a powerful jet of water to the face laughs it off and knocks away the jellyfish's nourishing sludge. Not giving it a moment to collect itself, Joey again strikes the tentacruel stunning it momentarily. Hoping to turn the tide in its favor, perhaps literally, Kurage sends a massive wave at the land whale. Joey meets this attack head on and drills through the wave to strike Kurage with a savage blow.

Engineer is clearly on the back foot now but he still has a chance. With the turn advantage in his favor can he finish Joey off and get a two on one match up verses Gale's final mon?

Round XV: Hanging On...
And we're back for another round. Last time Engineer's Tentacruel took the field an traded heavy blows with Gale's Colossoil. Now Kurage is facing a fresh Krilowatt. How long will it be able to hold on?

Bubba, Gale's Krilowatt, charges out of the gate in an electrifying fashion, hurting Kurage badly. Knowing that trading blows won't wi him the match, Kurage attempts to enrage his opponent into making a mistake. At first it seems to have failed as Krilowatt hits him again with a staggering seismic shake and the Tentacruel can only drain what little life he can in hopes of drawing things out a bit longer. Just when everyone seems certain that the Krilowatt will finish Kurage, Bubba trips up. His confidence combined with Kurage's taunts took his attention a bit too far from his surroundings and the krilowatt careened into the stadium wall. Not letting this opportunity pass the Tentacruel was on the shrimp again feeding all it could.

Kurage has managed to survive the round but is only a few hits from losing consciousness. Will chance continue to smile on it or will Bubba pull himself together?
