[Poison] Leader Engineer Pikachu vs. Challenger Tavok

Rules:
4v4 Singles (GL brings 7, chooses 4)
4 Day DQ
Infinite recovers / chills
2 Subs per pokemon
1 Megas
Switch = OK
Abilities = One
Items = On
Turn Order = Coin
Arena = Erlenmeyer Flask
Arena: Erlenmeyer Flask
Arena Type: Urban
Field Type: Poison, Water
Complexity: Simple
Formats: All Formats

Restrictions: OHKO moves are banned.

Description:
In the beautiful world of PYREX™ lies a gigantic titration flask, half-full with some ungodly acid; the opening is barely large enough for daring trainers to slip through, and so, of course, that's where the gym battles always take place.

Anything poisonous is powered up in this flask, especially slow-acting toxins. Yet, the water content is enough those who need it to draw their power from. Despite borosilicate's resistance to thermal expansion and network solid configuration, it's still quite fragile and vulnerable to a Pokemon's attacks. As such, the most powerful item of all – Expert Belt – is banned for eternity.

Summary:
Effects
  • BPSN starts at 2 DPA instead of the normal 1 DPA.
  • Rain Dish and Dry Skin are activated at half value in clear weather.
  • Expert Belt grants +0 BAP on super effective attacks.
  • Poison-type Pokemon gain Liquid Ooze as an ability.
Codifications
  • A Pokemon afflicted with PSN that would be PSNed again by an attack will have PSN replaced with BPSN which starts at 2 DPA.
  • Weather Ball is Water-type.
  • SolarBeam retains its full BAP. Morning Sun, Moonlight, and Synthesis restore default amounts of HP.
  • Camouflage replaces the user's typing with a Poison typing.
  • Nature Power will call Sludge.
  • Secret Power will afflict BPSN with a 30% chance.

The Gym Leader Engi, means serious business, He is back with a bang and has already managed to defeat the best in doubles in a tournament battle. He is even better in singles, so you can imagine why challenger's dread his Gym. He has brought with him, his arsenal of poison types to wreck havoc on the challenger's team. Yogan the Mollux, Omono the Nidoking, and Shokoli the Fidgit will play massive roles in this battle. The challenger was beaten once before by hazards and only hazards seem to cleanly beat him this time too. Will the leader take the same route? Or will he go the power through route?

Challenger Tavok's Team:

Stalker (Kitsunoh (M))
Nature: Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

- Ghost: Ghost STAB; immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag abilities. Ghost types can switch out while affected by a partial trapping move, but they will be damaged every action by their effect.

Abilities:

- Frisk (Passive): The Pokemon has intimate knowledge of the opponent's held item and ignores any item-based increases in damage or status. The Pokemon will not be affected by Fling or Natural Gift.

- Limber (Passive): This Pokemon's body is well trained and immune to paralysis. If the Pokemon with this Ability is Electric-type, this Pokemon's Speed cannot be lowered by any method, including self-inflicted reductions.

- Cursed Body (Passive) (UNLOCKED): When this Pokemon is struck by an opponent's attack, there is a 30% chance that the attack will be disabled for six (6) actions. Only one of the opponent's attacks can be disabled at a time due to Cursed Body. A Pokemon with an attack disabled by Cursed Body cannot have another one disabled by Disable, and vice versa.

Sturdy (Bronzong (M))
Nature: Brave (+Atk, -Spe)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

- Psychic: Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:

- Levitate (Passive): This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.

- Heatproof (Passive): This Pokemon's mirror-like alloyed skin protects it from Fire-type attacks, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.) The damage inflicted by burns is also cut in half.

- Heavy Metal (Passive) (UNLOCKED): The Pokemon's body structure is immensely dense, doubling its actual weight.

Gambo (Snorlax (M))
Nature: Quiet (+SpA, -Spe)

Type:

- Normal:Normal STAB; +1 BAP on attacks that match dominant arena type after 3 actions. Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

Abilities:

- Inmunity (Passive): This Pokemon's body has an immensely strong immune response to venom and does not take poison damage when Poisoned. Toxic Poisoning will not do damage; however, it will continue to grow more severe.
- Thick Fat (Passive):This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)
- Gluttony (Unlocked) (Passive): This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat). It also regains two (2) HP per action when holding Leftovers.

About: One of tavok's first Pokémon, Gambo is the MvP of the team, being the one with the most training and experience. He has showed his worth against many opponents, winning most of the fights he's been at, even managing to KO two of the Battle Pike Queen's Pokémon in the team's first confrontation with her.
Gambo is quite courious, trying to understand everything that is around. He's also a quick learner, managing to perform many moves just after trying a couple times.
He doesn't talk much, but he has a deep thrust in both his trainer and his partners. If there is a tough fight coming, Gambo is the one to fall back on.

Bruno (Steelix (M))
Nature: Brave (+Atk, -Spe)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

- Ground: Ground STAB; immune to Sandstorm. Ignores Arena restrictions on Dig and Seismic Attacks for Arenas in which any land mass exists, Evasive Digging reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.

Abilities:

- Rock Head (Passive): This Pokemon's hard body prevents it from taking recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge, Flare Blitz, and Head Smash.

- Sturdy (Passive): This Pokemon's body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

- Sheer Force (Toggle) (UNLOCKED): No default effect. When toggled, this Pokemon can energize all its attacks with a secondary effect (These are damaging moves that either lower the target's stats, raise the user's stats, or inflict a status condition on the target). The Base Attack Power of every move with a secondary effect increases by two (2), but they will never have their usual secondary effect.

Our challenger is having a dream run of late in the Tournament battles, and mind you they are not purely luck based. There is a lot of skill involved and he would be a very tough challenger for the Gym Leader here today. He has brought his Stalker, Sturdy, Gambo and Bruno to the battle field and looks all set to take on the Gym. Atleast he is better prepared than other challengers out there. Will he take home the prize this second time?
Stay tuned to find out ^_^

Round 1: The Setup!

Shokoli the Fidgit tries to setup hazards and remove the Item from her Stalker, but The Stalker is smarter or rather has the advantage of ordering second to remove the hazards, the item and negated the attack of Shokoli.

Shokoli was not happy with herself and is angry at her Stalker, who is grinning behind his Metallic Mask. Will she be able to avenge her loss this round? Or will the Stalker assault her further.

A Researcher who was measuring the titration flask's pressure, shouts at Tavok and his Kitsunoh, "Get away from her you mean Stalkers! Shokoli, use the pepper spray on them!"

Gym Leader brought Mega Venusaur to shutdown The Challenger's Steelix. But was this a Bait by the Challenger? The challenger performed a Daring sacrifice to bring Mega Venusaur into KO range, And would send out next round while ordering first against a Weakened Venusaur.

The momentum, the Match-up and the lead in Damage is with the challenger, but there is one thing that the Gym Leader is known for and would severely nullify the Challenger's advantage and that is consistent efficiency.

The Researcher near the titration flask rushes to the battle and removes her Hazmat suit to reveal herself as Janine, the Fuchsia Gym Leader.
