Pokémon GO

By the way, I have a lot people in my friend list which I don't remember. If you are/know one of these people, please let me know. I'm trying to get hold of what my friend list consist of :)

She be my faraway friend, I showed Smogon as one way to get those Alolan eggs. Eh... sorry about this.

Is it possible to solo/duo mewtwo? Because I don't really have many friends (one at best) to take it on.
You can do a 3 man raid but you will likely need weather or a friendship boost and have lvl 40 Pokémon/teammates and a bunch of max revives. 4 is a good safe minimum. Basically Tyranitar or Gengar if it’s Focus Blast.

Sadly, Mewtwo here somehow is bulkier, and that's before saying that Duo is nearly impossible before (maybe with friend attack bonus it could have been possible). I heard its HP got raised significantly higher than the previous EX raid ones, it is noticeable when I managed to get my first party nearly wiped out despite raiding with more than 10 people and my team is full of T'tars without it packing FB.

I wrote this up 2 pages ago; should help some of you with regards to Mewtwo.

It is 50% bulkier and not a feasible trio (even though this is possible) so be wary, as I'm sure all of you have already seen how hard this "tier 6" boss is.

Here's the best counters for the thing. Of course, the charge moves backed by Mewtwo's power change a lot of these would-be counters and the increased +6250 HP this has doesn't help matters (18,750 HP as opposed to 12,500).

That said, the overall best go-tos are Mewtwo and Tyranitar. Mewtwo isn't weak to a single moveset and lasts a while, while Tyranitar only fears Focus Blast and packs a decent punch.

Additionally, weather is going to be your best friend. Stuff like Rain can boost the Bug-types and make Raikou / Zapdos / Kyogre pack a punch, Windy helps Rayquaza, Dragonite, and Salamence do some excellent damage, Clear boosts stuff like Moltres and Blast Burn Charizard, and Foggy (if you can afford it) boosts the aforementioned Tyranitar and Gengar as well as Houndoom and Banette. Other less lucrative options include Dragon Tail / Sky Attack Lugia and Bite / Crunch Gyarados.

Argh, just had a 2264 CP Mewtwo run away from me... At the one hand I'm ok with it since it wasn't perfect. At the other hand... fml

Eh... I haven't even gotten M2 that high before despite having joined many past EX raids. Until when will the Ultra Bonus be going again anyway, a week?

Although true enough, it has lost its lustre with SB leaving. Now it is pretty much hunting for bigger Espeon or faux Manmoswine.

BTW, where are the Eevees? I'll need many of them if I do get PokeLGE. Strange that this is Kanto month (ugh), yet I have only encountered one Eevee and no any Pikachu yet. Anyone want to bet how long before the players are sick of the spawns?

Kanto event is until September 30th.

I've more or less finished my available Pokedex (i.e. not counting regional exclusives and ones that aren't in the game) apart from Kyogre and some Pokemon I just need to evolve (Ralts, Beldum, Bagon etc.), so I'm starting to look ahead into gen 4. Which of the following currently available Pokemon are gonna be able to evolve into viable Pokemon when they are released? I figure I might as well start walking them for more Candy.

Roselia -> Roserade
Misdreavus -> Mismagius
Murkrow -> Honchkrow
Sneasel -> Weavile
Magneton -> Magnezone
Rhydon -> Rhyperior
Tangela -> Tangrowth
Electabuzz -> Electivire
Magmar -> Magmortar
Yanma -> Yanmega
Eevee -> Leafeon
Eevee -> Glaceon
Gligar -> Gliscor
Piloswine -> Mamoswine
Kirlia -> Gallade
Nosepass -> Probopass
Dusclops -> Dusknoir
Snorunt -> Froslass

Thanks in advance.

(Given proper moves)
Mamoswine will beat IB Mewtwo as Ice Attacker
Rhyperiod will be a powerful rock/ground
Electrivire will top Electric DPS, Magnezone comes close
Roserade will be a grass glass cannon and the best poison
Glaceon will be a fantastic Ice, Leafeon will be a decent grass
Tangrowth offers fantastic grass TDO
Togekiss becomes the best fairy
Porygon becomes great generalist
Weavile is dark/ice glass cannon
Honchkrow is the new second fiddle to TTar
Magmortar is a decent fire type
Yanmega becomes fantastic bug

And thats about it

Well... for some more bits....

Unless Kyurem gets Ice quick attack 2 years later (or Gen8 gives another good Ice), Manmoswine will be the single best Ice attacker ever, only fearing Grass targets (what, Virizion? Moltres it. And being Mythical, Skymin is unlikely to be in raids).
Togekiss is best Fairy, considering it is one contender to have the long hoped Fairy Wind as Fairy quick attack. Not only that, it can also be great defender, particularly to screw Machamps over. (It'll be cruel joke if Ntic still doesn't give us Fairy Wind as quick attack or otherwise give it (or any Fairies, really) Fairy-type quick attack though.)
Tangrowth can be compared to or maybe better than Frenzy Plant? Venusaur?
For those lacking Raikou, yes, the Electric options won't disappoint, having only slightly lower performance compared to much better availability.

By this point, every Vees (maybe except time-waster Vaporeon in defense) are pretty much outperformed. Glaceon is even invalidated in the same generation she debuts in, although lucks be with those who have Eevee biome and lacks mammoth material (then again, I'm curious as to how they'll implement their evolution method, they can't damn Glaceon to only be obtainable in winter or snow weather).

Other than that... anything escapes my mind at the moment....

I think I have a good Togetic somewhere, just gotta walk that thing now. Kinda surprised Gallade isn't on the list, I guess it still gets outclassed by Machamp?

Apparently, the only real competition to Machamp is going to be Conkeldurr, in Gen 5. Also, Honchcrow might become one of the great Flying type attackers, if it get the moves.

To add to this:

Rhyperior outclasses our currently available Rock- and Ground-types if given a proper moveset (Smack Down / Rock Slide or Stone Edge) (Mud Slap / Drill Run), which even Tyranitar and Groudon cannot match-up as well.

Roserade -should- be the best DPS Grass, and it is not particularly super glassy (it is compared to the other Grasses though). A good investment if not for Tangrowth existing lol and Leafeon is quite good.

Togekiss needs Fairy Wind to work as a Fairy. Not mentioned is that an Air Slash / Sky Attack set makes it an excellent Flying-type with a good mixture of DPS and TDO. Those key resistances (esp to Fighting) will matter a lot.

Honchkrow isn't second fiddle. It should out-DPS (esp with an even superior moveset) Tyranitar - it'll be another Gengar except we have alternative options.

Magmortar is irrelevant when it's outclassed by the Blast Burn starters, Moltres, Entei, and Heatran.

Yanmega is outDPS'd by Scizor / Pinsir but has more bulk iirc. It should be -fine- but nothing to write home about until we get Volcarona in Gen V.

Glad to know I have some decent evolutions ready for gen 4, then, though I'm sure by now a lot of other people do as well. Sucks that I have to walk Kirlia for another 500km since they're super rare here.

Oh, do remember that some of them need new items to evolve too, don't they? At least many like Manmoswine and Togekiss don't, but I'm sure they'll introduce those items like they did Gen2, so people can't instantly have army of Ryperiors or Weaviles or PorygonZ.

I hope they'll tweak the drop rate of those items or in any way make them easily more available, since diluting these items in Pokestop with the evolve items we already have that we most likely don't need would make it difficult.

And one can also hope to feed Ralts line in gym and get candies. That would be how to get candies for extremely rare mon like Larvitars and Chansey (and Gardevoir is at least not that bad in defense when used correctly, like right after Blissey).

True, I actually don't think any of the available items now are used in gen 4 evolutions. Roselia and Togetic share Shiny Stone, whereas Murkrow and Misdreavus share Dusk Stone. Otherwise I think the item evolutions all use unique items. Maybe they'll do what they did before and guarantee a new item for the 7th day Poke Stop spin, or throw them in with research tasks.

So beldum is the next community day mon as of now on the 21st. Standard stuff with 3 hour lures and more frequent beldums spawning. Eggs will hatch 4 times faster. I’m personally excited for this as I have around 150 candies saved and have a 96% beldum saved cause I knew there’d be a community day down the line. Special move is probably meteor mash, and seeing how metagross problems were bad charge moves and steel just being a meh attacking type for raids and gyms, this at least will solve one problem.

One key point in the next Community Day: You can evolve the featured Pokemon up to one hour after the event ends for it to still learn the featured move.

Definitely not evolving my Beldum yet now, not that I have a good one (best being 89%)

Hmm... I'm divided. Maybe it is time for me to stop hoarding Togepy candies (550+) and start walking one Metagross for this. Being Psychic Specialist, Metagross is one of favs (despite the hulky appearance that doesn't match my pretty mon preferences), and for long we are not going to get good Steel anyway until Solgaleo in... what, 4 years?

Steel attacker is not that terribly needed either, only serving as niche most of times, but when Gen4 unfolds, Metagross with new improved move may be useful in taking down gyms with Togekiss starting to show dominance. Although then again that also means Vaporeon and (worse,) Milotic would be roadblock to this spidertank's KO streak.

One thing to note that I dislike is its typing curses it to be impossible to be weather-boosted in most places (unless one is up north high, I suppose. Or it's very windy, but I have never seen that, it's dodgy weather). Hunting for best one will be really, really a chore. (I was glad at least Larvitars were boosted a lot, so I managed to snatch a lot of high IV ones that m problem is lack of candies despite having had 800 at one point)

At least one leak claiming it's Chansey after Chikorita wasn't true then. I don't want to see horror in gyms, even though I need them myself.

Noteworthy things here:

1) The stats are what we expected, so no buffs.
2) Catch rate of 6%. This is the same as Mewtwo when it was an Ex Raid Boss, so no surprises here.
3) All Formes have different moves - this -might- lead to a similar mechanic to Castform, where none of the formes are interchangeable.
4) Normal Deoxys has 2 entries on this list, with a noteworthy difference in Charge Moves (Thunderbolt and Zap Cannon). It is possible that we all face regular Deoxys in Ex Raids with Zap Cannon (given it is entry #1), then the encounter generates the 4 Deoxys formes at random, one of which is a Deo-N that has Thunderbolt instead of Zap Cannon.
5) Psycho Boost is still a godawful move and worse than Psychic. I expect a change before release.

Deoxys is not looking to be that impressive by the looks of things, so let's see if they spice it up a bit.

This made me wonder if they'd change Deoxys's stats, maybe undo the usual 9% nerf at least, given its obviously ineffective spread compared to most legends, much less its EX predecessor. This is such a massive step down from Mewtwo that it makes me wonder if it was intentional to make people less upset about not getting in on EX raids.
