Pokémon Minus - Street Pokémon with Mimic Glitch Allowed

The thing about this metagame is that Spore and Belly Drum will probably be everywhere.

Example:

Azumarill:
Belly Drum
Aqua Jet
Extremespeed
Spore

I was expecting more along the lines of for a team:

Kyogre @ Choice Scarf/Specs/Lefties
-Water Spout
-Hurricane
-Trick/Magic Coat
-Thunder/Ice Beam/Surf

Water Spout + Hurricane gets neutral coverage on everything besides Empoleon and Dialga. Trick lets it beat Lugia and Magic Coat stops Sporers. Last move is for coverage.

Normal Moveset Palkia x2

What's better than a Palkia taking advantage of rain? TWO Palkias taking advantage of rain!

Normal Moveset Arceus x3

What's better than 2 Palkias? 3 Arceuses.

yeah I realize that this is supposed to have no rules but species clause, sleep clause, and OHKO clause seem necessary. At least species clause should be included.

Still, any Uber team would probably lose to any well-built Inconsistent abuse team...

Tbqh, the lack of species, uber, sleep, and inconsistent clauses is way more significant than the mimic movesets.

I plan to be sticking Little-by-Little on a Deoxys-A to get through evasion.

IIRC, Little By Little only ignores SpDef/Def, just like Unaware.

Besides:

Lugia @ Lefties

-Minimize
-Assist Power
-Sleep Talk/Substitute
-Rest/Recover/Psycho Shift/Dragon Tail/Roar

Substitute allows it to stall out Machamp, especially with Pressure.

Special Dark-Night Burst, Dark Pulse

Physical Normal-Afro Break, Return, Thrash, Extremespeed, Double-Edge
Special Normal-Judgment

Physical Steel-Meteor Mash, Gear Saucer, Iron Head, Gyro Ball, Heavy Bomber
Special Steel-Flash Cannon, Doom Desire

Physical Poison-Gunk Shot, Poison Jab
Special Poison-Slime Wave, Sludge Bomb
People seem to be forgetting about Lightning Strike and Blue Flame mostly. Also, with Spore running around with no Sleep Clause, Dream Eater and Hex seem more viable.

I predict Expert Belt will see more use.
Mamoswine @Expert Belt
-Earthquake
-Icicle Drop/Ice Shard
-Close Combat/Hi Jump Kick
-Lightning Strike/Brave Bird/Shadow Force/Crunch

Species Clause I can perhaps understand, but lolno, it's Street Pokemon - no rules.
I sorta mentioned this a few pages ago but I got ignored... To me, the draw of this metagame are the endless possibilities, not the no rulz thing. The last thing we need if for the server to go up, it be dominated by a broken set of ubers (which defeats the purpose of a super diverse fun meta) or sleep and then everyone stops playing. We can expiriment with bringing down ubers and taking off clauses, but we want to establish a player base first. I dunno how this will go over, but it's something to think about.

IIRC, Little By Little only ignores SpDef/Def, just like Unaware.

Where was this stated? Plus Unaware works through evasion, as far as I know - that's the point of the ability and the move, after all.

Let the metagame come into existence before saying that. With the abundance of possibilities around, intelligent players will no doubt find ways around obvious threats - many niche-but-effective strategies will be available, as well as peculiar sets. Seemingly pointless pokemon will suddenly find use. Nothing is assured.

Medicham @ Lum Berry
- Belly Drum
- Extremespeed
- Mach Punch
- Sucker Punch

If anything, ANYTHING allows this to get a Belly Drum up..

My greatest dream ever since Gen 4:

Aerodactyl @Choice Band
Rock Head
Jolly 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
~Brave Bird
~Head Smash
~Flare Blitz
~Volt Tackle

EDIT: nvmd. I just realized that Dactyl can't learn Mimic/Assist/Metronome. Back to pokesav for me. :(

Yes.
Aerodactyl is a Gen 1 Pokemon, which means it can be tutored Mimic in FRLG. Have fun! :)

I am really going to love moves like Snatch, Copycat, Me First and Heart Swap in this metagame. Plus the prospect of everything and its mother packing stuff like Whirlwind or Spore is hilarious.

Is this done in Gen 4 games or in Black/White?

Gyarados used Fly! Gyarados used Roost! Prevo-Stone Chansey used Iron Defense! Breloom used Swords Dance + Horn Leech!

Glaceon used Sheer Cold! Venusaur used Seed Flare!

Holy sheep's...

Where was this stated? Plus Unaware works through evasion, as far as I know - that's the point of the ability and the move, after all.

They both only affect the stat multiplier in the damage formula, which only includes the attacks and defenses.

They don't play any role in the evasion/speed formula.

That's why Little By Little has 100 accuracy, versus auto-hits, which have "---" accuracy.

It's basically the current Ubers metagame without clauses. The increased movesets of lower-tiered pokemon, for the most part, make almost no difference because the Uber's base stats just completely overshadow them. The Uber's movepool often included the best moves anyway.

Not to mention that Inconsistent never had a true counter either.

Oh right...Gyarados with Brave Bird and Crabhammer/Waterfall would be pretty awesome. Also Breloom with Horn Leech, Drain Punch, Substitute, Leech Seed and Poison Heal would be impossible to take down. Dusknoir can get Shadow Force which is pretty nice because it's a free stalling turn.

Also, with Street Pokemon, are items like Full Restore and Max Revive allowed?

No. You can't use them on WIfi. Wonder Launcher prolly won't be allowed as well, since not too many people play wifi, and coyotte508 is apparently not going to implement it.

One unfortunate thing to remember is that if you use an HM move on your pokemon, it counts as your 5th Gen move unless the pokemon can learn that naturally in this Gen. Ie. if you give Gyarados Fly, it can't use any 5th Gen moves because when you transfer a pokemon over, it has to forget HM moves before it can do that. Therefore, you have to use your Sketch moveslot for that HM move. It doesn't really matter for most pokemon, but it's definitely an important thing to remember for ones you want to give Surf to.

This metagame is crazy, in a good way! Lum Berry, Vital Spirit, Insomnia, and Sleep Talk are is now top priority, and I think Scizor (Extremespeed resist and Bullet Punch) will make a comeback. DS Memento sets also seem good in general. Some quick sets:

Offensive Ninjask!
Ninjask
- Spore
- Substitute
- Coil / Swords Dance
- Megahorn / X-scissor

4x resists are a problem, but you can use Spore + Sub to set up on everyone slower (which is the metagame after one or two speed boosts). Coil makes you more resistant to priority and works with Megahorn, but SD works faster. Taunt or roost could be used over a boosting move, but prepare for a long fight then.

Gear Shift Scizor!
- Gear Shift
- Bullet Punch
- Hi Jump Kick
- Leaf Blade

The last moves are filler, but basically you use your power moves against everyone slower and BP against everyone faster (scarfers). You resist Espeed, the only common priority move likely to go before you after a Gear Shift.

There a probably better sets out there, but the possibilities...

The return of assist shuffling. You have an 82.25% chance to pull of a successful shuffle and a 2.1% chance to pull off a hax sheer cold. That gives you a 84.35% chance for success per turn. With three layers and rocks it takes and average of 16 turns (Not including dragon tail, which makes it about 8-13 turns depending on your opponents team) to narrow it down to your opponents last Pokemon. Assuming that your opponent can OHKO any given Pokemon you have if he gets an attack off, this gives you anywhere between 58.1% to 76.2% chance to narrow it down to one Pokemon. Upon which Machamp can come in and OHKO the opponents last Pokemon with Sheer Cold. Focus Punch is for sturdy Pokemon. Aerodactyl can take the sandstorm and spores that will be circulating around. Deoxys-A is for the beefed up Dragon Tails.

DynamicPunch can be called by Assist, and its shitty 50% accuracy will lower its success rate. IIRC Assist overwrites Focus Punch's -3 priority.

(Edit: ok nvm Focus Punch cannot be called by Assist... but neither can Dragon Tail. GG.)
(Edit2: Nice try Zcythe but running a shuffle team without hazards is just... lol.)
