Pokebank OU team, my first team

Right so this is my first team, I've been testing it alot and so far so good. I do not have the pokemon in any particular order, I'l post em here in the order they are on the team, roles will be posted below.

Tyranitar (F) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
-Stealth rock
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch

My very belowed tyranitar. Its got pretty good coverage, the HP ev's help me guarantee a survival. So what I usually do is try to bring out the tyranitar to a pokemon my opponent has to switch out, mega evolve and pull off a dragon dance. If however this is not possible, I usually just mega evolve and go for one of the three moves. Crunch works really well, taking out a good chunk of HP from pretty much anything, I run ice punch due to the reason that its a good hit against dragon types. Stone edge is a pretty good check for dragonite, ice punch if I don't trust my luck. Stone edge also hits things that don't run a whole lot of physical defense hard.

Donphan (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock

Not a whole lot to say about this fella, pretty standard donphan set (you can see who gave me this build below all the credit to him/her) Max defense allows donphan to survive pretty well together with max Hp. Other than that, its a standard rapid spin donphan, ice shard for priority when you feel the need for it, stealth rocks for obvious reasons. EQ hits aegislash hard enough to allmost kill the bastard so thats why that exists.

Hydreigon (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef
Hasty Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- U-turn
- Fire Blast

So my specs hydreigon, a shining star of the team. She's guite the fellow, with that Special attack+specs he can usually OHKO 2 things with draco meteor, even after using it once! Draco meteor is my usual guaranteed OHKO on allmost anything not fairy or steel. Dark pulse is to kill psychic types, usually my safest move to get locked into. U-turn is to get out of a situation where my opponent predicts a switch and sends in something nasty to my face, not a whole lot of things that I run away from though. Fire blast offers some good coverage against Mega-mawile, usually OHKOing it. I run Special Defense to prevent my hydreigon from instantly dying to a focus blast or aura sphere.

Nightmare tree (Trevenant) (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
Serious Nature
- Leech Seed
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Claw
- Substitute

Man do I love this trevenant set! It does SO well. Will-o-wisp fucks with everything that is a physical attack, especially if the name scizor rings any bells. Will-o-wisp that scizor and he won't do a damn thing to you. People think that theyr mega scizor can deal with my trevenant, THEY ARE WRONG BWUHAHAHAHA. No but seriously, if I can stay behind a sub, they can't bug bite away my sitrus berry and get completly walled by my trevenant when they have burn attack drop and my trevenants decent defense. Shadow claw is there to hit some of the very lovely ghost types that think they stand a chance. With the Ev spread I have, you can pretty much survive anything not named greninja or mega gengar. Incase it isn't obvious, I'l break down how this works: Your opponent sends out any pokemon, your trevenant is usually at full hp. the first thing you go for is substitute if they outspeed you, if they in some miracolous way are slower than you, then go for the leech seed first. And if its a scizor, whatever you do, DO NOT let it bug bite you. It will eat your sitrus berry like a bauws, and your trevenant is suddenly just death fodder.

Galvantula (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Sticky Web
- Thunder
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Bug Buzz

This is my lead of the team, its sole purpose is to set up a sticky web and pull off a thunder/bug buzz/Hp fire if it can. But the offensive part is just a plus, set up sticky web and usually die. I run focus sash to guarantee that I can pull off that sticky web. Galvantula is faster than smeargle, so you should be able to set up sticky web before you get spore to the face. Set up sticky web, maybe pull off a hit on someone, the Ev spread is very standard galvantula, maximum special attack and speed, those thunders hit pretty hard.

Goodra (F) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Sdef / 252 SAtk
Sassy Nature
- Dragon Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave

The most fun special defensive wall ever! Oh you want to draco meteor? Bring it on! Take a d-pulse to the face! Ice beam? No problem, just eating it up. This Goodra just does not care of ANY special attack you throw at it. I could probably make it even more bulky by running something in special defense but assault vest makes Goodra so well special defensive that he usually takes even less damage than a blissey. It lacks recovery, yes but it really doesn't matter, he most likely will not be needing it. A word of warning thou, Goodra CANNOT take a physical attack to the face. An ice punch will hurt it like hell, outrage even more so. I run as much coverage as possible, dragon pulse to hit dragon types and pretty much anything that doesn't resist it or is resilient/immune to other moves. This is pretty much your go-to move. If anything doesn't hit for super effective, just roll with dragon pulse. Why don't I run Draco Meteor you might ask? I personally don't see the need for it, Dragon Pulse will kill most of the things that face a threat to you, and draco meteors special attack drop forces you to switch out, which is never exacly nice, because your opponent knows you will most likely switch out so they can bring it something to get a free boosting/recovery in my face. Max Hp is a must so that you can take those hits like a boss, max special attack is self explanotary with assault vest, you can't run recovery, so you might as well go in with a bang. You can switch goodra into any special attack, I promise you that.

So my edit log: Currently running donphan over excadrill but the team is having some issues. Tyranitar speed just ain't good enough, it needs bulk because it gets OHKOed by many things, max HP should help it survive after it mega evolves. Running into a big competition problem here: Blissey or Goodra? Blissey is lovely for its recovery, but my goodra just stares at it looking all like: "Yo supposed to replace mah bulk sistah?"(Ignore my terrible street slang.) It just can't do anything to allmost anything. It literally loses 50% of its hp to a mega lucarios aura sphere, which my goodra can take and hit lucario back with a lovely flamethrower/fire blast to the face.

Tyranitar (F) @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch

My very belowed tyranitar. Its got pretty good coverage, the 252 Spd is for bulk and survival, I prefer to survive the turn I mega evolve. So what I usually do is try to bring out the tyranitar to a pokemon my opponent has to switch out, mega evolve and pull off a dragon dance. If however this is not possible, I usually just mega evolve and go for one of the three moves. I'm a little confused. Are you running 252 Spd (Speed) or 252 SDef (Special Defense)?

Trevenant (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
Serious Nature
- Leech Seed
- Curse
- Protect
- Substitute

Man do I love this trevenant set! Subseed trevenant is such a troll to opponents! It spins blocks very effectively, curse is nice if you want your opponent to get the hell out of the field or die. The defensive Ev spread allows for trevenant to usually survive even a super effective hit with enough hp to recover from it with sitrus berry and harvest. Otherwise a standard sub seed set, lead with a substitue if your opponent outspeeds you, put in leech seed, protect to recover more hp and then go for substitute again since you should have enough HP to survive another hit with sitrus berry.

Decent set, I refer to it as "Taunt Bait". I would recommend getting ride of curse or leech seed in favor of at least one attack move of some sort. Actually, this team as a whole (between Galvantula and Trevenant) is fairly taunt-prone as a huge part of your strategy revolves around hazards like Sticky Web. And unfortunately very obvious as well (how often do you see a Galvantula without Sticky Web or a Trevenant without protect/substitute, etc.)? Now, I'm not saying change it, just be aware of it.

Also, Tyranitar and Excadrill are the only two members of your team that benefit (in fact, that don't get hurt) by sandstorm. Consider putting another member in that is immune to the residual sandstorm damage Tyranitar will cause, like Skarmory for example.

Lastly, your team is pretty vulnerable to physical attacks (Goodra/Tyranitar's terrible weakness to fighting). Trevenant can shrug off some physical attacks, but he acts as a dual wall. You may want to consider putting in something as a physical wall, such as a Donphan in place of Excadrill.

Just a few thoughts, take them as you will. =)

Hmm, donphan in place of excadrill could sound pretty good, and yeah usually I just put trevenant in to shrug off the phyiscal attack. And well, so far galvantula is my best lead with sticky web, most people don't get to taunt it. I used to run shadow claw on my trevenant but it had some... issues with pokemon that we're able to outstall it so curse that takes out my opponent in 4 turns unless they swap out? Yes please! I might go back to the old format, We'l see. Taunt hasn't really become a too big of an issue so far, I usually try to dodge taunters with my peeps, galvantula can survive a taunt, it'l hit hard at the one who decides to taunt it. And woopsie, I even managed to confuse myself on the Spd part, I'm very tired so apologies for that. Any recommended sets for donphan?

Hmmm... maybe something like:

donphan.png

Donphan (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Def / 4 Atk / 252 HP
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock

Still fulfills the role of spinner, still carries Earthquake, but gets a little recovery from Leftovers, lets you lay down Stealth Rocks (always useful) and gives you a priority anti-flying move with Ice Shard.
