It looks kind of like the player in the photographs though.....But it might be a fake someone made up when they saw the new images.

I agree. Pressure is way over-distributed... please give us some more interesting abilities GameFreak.
The problem is: Palkia is destructive enough. Some better abilities would be nice, but I'm afraid something as uber as Kyogre will get a good ability.

I know it's fake, but why does that character have an ID card in her mouth?
They probably wanted to put it in a natural looking pose. Maybe an Ice Pop, or some food, or even a candy pop would look more natural, though.

I've suggested that before also. But I had in mind new signature abilities. eg

Lugia - Ocean Guardian. Water-type attacks boosted 50% (like STAB).
Ho-oh - Rainbow Spirit. Immunity to Stealth Rock.

Articuno - Snowstorm. Blizzard never misses.
Zapdos - LightningStorm. Thunder never misses.
Moltres - Firestorm. Fire Blast never misses.
(or just give them hail, drizzle, and drought).

That would almost be broken but id like to see useful abilitys but pressure is VERY useful on moltres for sub toxic roost flamethrower set in UU to stall out peoples stone edge pp

You have to consider Kyogre is as uber as it is now because of Drizzle; we don't have any Pressure pokémon right now that is as uber as Drizzle Kyogre (and quite frankly, I think it's impossible...).

Or perhaps even:

Deoxys - Regenerate. Effect is the exact same as Leftovers. Defense mode would love this.
Dialga - Time Control. Lowers opponent's speed upon switching in, works similarly to Intimidate.
Palkia - Space Warp. Lowers either the opponent's Def or Sp.Def upon switching in, whichever one is lower. Works similarly to Intimidate.
Giratina (alternate forme) - Distortions. All non-damage effects (Stealth Rock, incoming status effects, etc, though redirecting SR will deal damage to the opponent equal to the amount Giratina would take) are directed to the opponent when switching in.

These may be overpowered, but just a thought...

How about a highly defensive but poorly offensive Pokemon whose Evasion raises each turn. It'll Protect every other turn while using Toxic and Will-o-wisp and laughing as the other team can't do anything to hurt it (without unlimited accuracy moves). With guys like that around, moves like AerialAce will be used way more often.

And that's exactly why the evasion clause exists...

I actually thought that Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno should have had Drizzle, Drought, and an equivelent of Snow Warning, respectively, before I found out they had Pressure, but now that I know about competetive battling, I know that would make Zapdos and Moltres Uber. I also thought Dialga and Palkia should have abilities that work like Quick Claw and Brightpowder, respectively, for them and their ally in Doubles, but we don't really need more hax.

I agree that there are way too many legendaries with Pressure. Gamefreak needs to come up with something more creative than that.

Edit: I assume that leek in the girl's bag is supposed to be the Stick item.

That would be way to uber for the same reason Double Team is banned. I think they should just make Fog a weather condition if they wanted Arial Ace and Shock Wave to be useful. I would make a Fog team and enjoy it!

They should get rid of repetitive abilities. Huge Power and something else I forgot are the exact same thing, White Smoke and Clear Body, etc...

Way too many abilities that are exactly the same.

I can't imagine Torkoal with Clear Body....But then again, look at Metagross....

Huge Power and Pure Power are different. Skill Swap gets the full effect from Huge Power, but Pure Power's attack boost is split when Skill Swapped.

Some abilities are repeated to make more sense. I.e. My Torkoal example.

The only motivation I see them doing that is so that the abilities fit with the Pokemon. For example, Regice gets Clear Body because it's shiny and clear, while Torkoal is always covered in smoke. I do see your point however. Also, Filter and Solid Rock do the same things do they not?

And FFS I don't want any more Pressure legendaries! I was disappointed enough that the legendary birds got them, then the dragon trio came along -____-

Ya....but Mr Mime doesn't have many rock-like qualities....

I agree. But as I said, giving ubers good abilities would make PBR wi-fi unplayable and Palkia too powerful. They should stop giving them pressure though. Maybe try mixing it up with some other ability that won't help much.

PBR wi-fi is already unplayable as it is...though it was funny seeing a team of ubers fall to my OU team.

In most cases things like NU Sunny Day teams can beat Uber abusing Noobs.......but that's besides the point. Roar of Time is bad enough from Noobs, and Draco Meteor, we don't need a good ability on top of it.

Maybe the big surprise are the Pokemon exclusive held items from Mystery Dungeon like Gastrodon and Shellos get the Gastro-Torc which makes them heal 25% of their health when they get hit with a Grass-move. It's good but it's not foolproof. Exclusive items are cool but you're not getting the same effects as popular Choice items, Leftovers, or Life Orbs. Pokemon eliminating some of their weaknesses sound cool but what if they don't get hit with other types of attacks? The item would be useless. It could catch opponents off guard. They don't know if you have the item or not.

The image is not fake it's from a sugimori's artbook i believe, it's unrelated to the game but the female protagonist might be based on her. =p

Explains, as I said, why the protagonist from the screen shot looks similar to her.

i agree with rein. adding a healing item that heals 25% is just a bit too much. items like that are goin to majorly effect switches.
