aura sphere is not the kind of move you can give to any pokemon, gamefreak want to keep at least the min amount of possible logic, only certain legendary pokemons, lucario and togekiss(why the....?) can learn.

I never understood Togekiss getting it. Mewtwo I understand since it shoots all kinds of orbs from it's hands ( Shadow ball, Aura sphere). Hopefully Tsutaja get's leaf blade I would love that.

I wonder what kind of new evolution methods there will be. We have happiness, trades, trades with items, stones, time of day, hold items, beauty, area based, knowing a move while leveling up, heck we even have this Mantyke -> Mantine and Ninjask -> Shedinja weirdness.

Perhaps you have to make the pokemon hate you? Or maybe we'll see the return of Pokeblocks and get Cool, Tough, Smart, Cute evolutions as well?

I don't want any new method. They should make new pokémon that evolve by different methods other than level, and leave the move/location-induced methods to old pokémon getting new evolutions.

I'm all for just creating new Pokemon that evolve with existing evolution methods. It's really stupid that they introduce these methods every gen and then just leave them alone later on. Evolution stones, happiness, trade, item+trade, item+level up, location, day/night, etc... those are plenty of methods, thanks.

Man, I'd love to see a grass-type starter that made it into OU. Venusaur was my favorite first-gen starter, but grass starters have gone downhill since then. The way I see it, there are three ways to do that: mess with type matchups, something they haven't done since second-gen, or make the starter end up as a grass/steel or grass/dragon. Based on what that lizard looks like, I'd say grass/dragon would be most likely.

A dragon-starter would be unprecedented, but it would keep that double-ice weakness that the designers love so much. It would have to learn some fire, ground, or fighting moves to be good enough to stand up to steels, though.

And speaking of dragon/[random type], wouldn't a fire/dragon be awesome? Especially with levitate! Amazing STABs, weaknesses only to rock and dragon... I think that should be the next pseudo-legendary. It would outclass Garchomp! It could make Heatproof Bronzong viable, and push Heatran use way, way up.

Black version's legendary, Reshiram, has Fire/Dragon typing

Grass/Steel would work since it's still weak to fire.

Speaking of which

Grass/Steel, Fire/Ground, Water/Rock

Conceptually not sure how grass would work but the other two could fit and they'd have a quad advantage over each other this time.

It's time for some more stones to come back. Thunder FTW!

Personally, I would prefer Grass/Electric, Fire/Ground, and Water/Poison. Electric is good against Water, Fire is good against Grass, and Water is good against Fire. Poison is good against Grass and Ground is good against Poison. Grass/Steel could work as a licorice plant somehow (it has metalic blue-green foliage).

Edit: Sceptile was OU in Advance. Really, if they give Tsutaja good speed and atleast Sleep Powder and Leech Seed (or a good secondary STAB like Electric) then it should at least be high UU material.

After watching footage of Wild Bolt in action, I did some damage calculation using different BP and stat changes. Assuming if both Pokemon had Max IV/No EVs and Sea Otter had 52/70 in HP and defense (70 is the highest base stat starters seem to get). I did this out of boredom though.

120 BP
---------
56 (64 with - nature, 49 with + nature) base attack: 116 - 138 (91.3% - 108.7%)
44 (52 with - nature, 39 with +nature) base attack: 98 - 116 (77.2% - 91.3%)

100 BP
-------------
70 (80 with - nature, 62 with + nature) base attack: 116 - 138 (91.3% - 108.7%)
56 (65 with - nature, 50 with + nature) base attack: 98 - 116 (77.2% - 91.3%)

80 BP
------------
93 (106 with - nature, 83 with + nature) base attack: 116 - 138 (91.3% - 108.7%)
75 (86 with - nature, 67 with +nature) base attack: 98 - 116 (77.2% - 91.3%)

This is exactly how I see the Starters being once fully evolved, with maybe one exception Water/Rock could be Water/Fighting instead.

Also anyone else think Munna possibly be a Drowzee Prevo?
It kind of looks like it to me.

You mean Munna right? Shimama is the zebra. If so, I agree with you.

Unfortunately, there isn't. Maybe they'll make one in Gen 5; something that would switch the probabilities would work (there would be a 37.5% chance of getting 4 or 5 hits and a 12.5% chance to get 2 or 3 hits). This would make it so that the average Base Power would be equivalent to 4 hits instead of 3 hits.

Just have the item guarantee five hits. I can't imagine a situation where that would be overpowering given that you have to forgo Life Orb or a Choice item to use it.

Well a Bone Rush would have 97.5 average Base Power with a Life Orb (90 with a Soft Sand which is really more comparable to this) so giving it 125 Base at the expense of not boosting your other moves seems resonable.

I was talking to a friend on another forum, and this seems like a pretty solid move idea. A specially-based move that always gets critical hits. As such, it would have to have a low base power (30 or 35?), but in turn, it puts all those damn CMers in their place. My proposed move was:

[insert name here]
35 Base Power (effectively 70, which is less than Dark Pulse), Dark-type Special
Critical hit chance (100%).

As long as we don't give it to a Pokemon that can get STAB (No Darkrai. Absol won't make much use of it. Maybe TTar can, so lower the BP to 30, but that doesn't change all too much.), it shouldn't be broken. And considering it's Dark-type, it gets neutral damage on all CMers, and super-effective damage on some (Celebi, I am looking at you).

And hell, it would even make that one Pokemon with Anger Point a bit more viable, because he has something to switch into for free Belly Drum boost at less HP cost.

It kind of looks like it to me.

I'd be confused if it wasn't. very confused. it's classified as the Dream Eater Pokemon, relating it to a Baku, which Drowzee is also based off. Drowzee's Dex entires mention eating dreams, too. Munna also seems to have a small trunk like nose, similar to Drowzee. all this, plus they share an ability choice (Forewarn)... to many similarities for me to not assume it's a prevo.

The colours and floral pattern are the only things that don't match up. that being said, Drowzee and Hypno's shiny form is pink, which may explain Munna's colour scheme. still, the flowers...

If somone else mentioned it then opps, but if anyone has checked t out it has been confirmed that Zorua & Zoroark will only e obtained by event only.

I don't want Munna to evolve into Drowzee, which evolves into hypno. No offence to Hypno fans, but it kinda sucks. I'd rather there be a Hypno evo and Munna is a brand new good Pokemon
