Welcome to my first Smogon Tournament! I hope you'll play as I believe it'll be quite fun, as long as everyone is speedy with battles. Anyway, the Pokemon RAINBOW Tournament is a colour based tournament, where teams are made up of pokemon of the same colour. For this tournament, there has been 8 colour groups, made up as Black/Grey, Blue, Brown, Green, Red, Pink/White, Purple and Yellow/Orange.
Here are the basic rules:
No Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Wobbuffet/Wynaut, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys (all forms)
* No illegal movesets
* No OHKO moves (No Horn Drill, Fissure, Guillotine, or Sheer Cold)
* No Evasion moves (No Double Team or Minimize)
* Sleep Clause
* Species Clause
* XD moves WILL be allowed
* Freeze Clause
* PP Ups must be on
* No Self-KO allowed on last pokemon
* You must use Pokemon of the colour given to you.
And now how the tournament will be formatted…

If we get 64 competitors, then you will be divided into 8 separate divisions, each with 8 competitors in. I think I'll allow 2 substitutes per division, so in total we're looking at about 80 people to be getting involved. Each division will be assigned a colour (in some cases 2 colours since some groups are smaller than others). From here, each player in the division will battle their opponent for that round in the division (three rounds until 1 is left). The winner goes through to the finals.
The divisions would look something like this:
Blue Yellow/Orange
1-8 players 1-8 players
Red Brown
1-8 players 1-8 players
Black/Grey Purple
1-8 players 1-8 players
Green Pink/White
1-8 players 1-8 players
The top player from each division will go through to a finals round.
The Finals
8 finalists will compete in a standard 1vs1 knock out battle. Each round (3 rounds in total) will be a random colour. Each competitor must build a team with this colour and battle their opponent with it.
Colours will change each round until we have a winner.
Now, where the controversy will of course lie, the lists. Unless a majority rules, no changes will be made to this list. Complain all you like, I doubt it will be changed.
Where it says next to the name "(Shiny)", this means the pokemon is only allowed in this category if shiny.
If it says "(Shiny as well)" next to the pokemon name, the pokemon is categorized the same whether it's shiny or not.
