Though plain and unassuming, Porygon2 is actually one of DOU's most reliable Pokemon around! With an Eviolite equipped, Porygon2's bulk skyrockets, letting it act as part of a team's defensive backbone even with its Normal typing granting no resistances; this same typing, though, is quite handy for checking two top threats in Spectrier and Dragapult. Porygon2 can also be quite a threat offensively with its BoltBeam coverage letting it hit metagame threats such as Rillaboom, Tapu Fini, and Volcanion super effectively, and its ability Download can be situationally handy for boosting damage output. Porygon2's biggest selling point, though, is its access to Trick Room, a gamechanger of a move that lets slow, bulky threats such as itself, Volcanion, and Amoonguss become blazing "fast" threats. All things considered, Porygon2's combination of bulk, offensive presence, and ability to exert its will on the overall game state make it DOU's ultimate jack-of-all-trades threat.
