The BW council is in the process of formalizing an official tiering procedure for BW. As our first step, we have sent a survey to all qualified SPL players soliciting their opinions on suspects and the state of the current metagame. The respondent criteria is as follows: at least three BW games played with two or more wins, or at least five BW games played. At some point following the conclusion of this survey, currently scheduled to be Monday night, the BW council will determine whether or not anything needs to be suspected, and if so, conduct the necessary votes (with an expanded pool of voters).
As of now, we intend for these type of surveys and test to be periodic, with the next one following Smogon Tour / Classic, so expect any decisions made to persist through the entirety of those tours, but keep in mind they may be subject to change in the future.
