BH Primal Kyogre [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]

Primal Kyogre's excellent 100 / 160 special bulk along with its high base 180 Special Attack and base 150 Attack makes it a versatile option on many Balanced Hackmons teams, capable of fulfilling non-passive defensive roles thanks to resistances to common types such as Fire, Steel, Water, and Ice while having only two weaknesses to Grass and Electric or serving as a strong special attacker. These traits allow it to answer threats such as Mega Gengar, Dialga, and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas while capable of blanket checking a large portion of the special attackers of the metagame. It also can run a variety of offensive sets such as Poison Heal and Choice Specs Primordial Sea that are difficult to switch into and can be very unpredictable and threatening. However, Primal Kyogre's Speed is low for an offensive Pokemon and leaves it vulnerable to faster attackers, although its bulk somewhat makes up for this. Also, Water is a poor offensive typing, hitting very few Pokemon super effectively while being resisted by common types such as Dragon and Water, though Kyogre's massive Special Attack mitigates this a bit. In addition, despite its good special bulk, its physical bulk is quite lackluster and leaves it weak to powerful physical attackers like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo X.

Moves
========
U-turn allows Primal Kyogre to pivot which allows it to gain momentum and health through Regenerator, and unlike Volt Switch and Parting Shot, it cannot be blocked. Revelation Dance is a decently powerful STAB move that hits Normalize Mega Gengar, as it ignores Normalize when Primal Kyogre gets hit with Entrainment, and can chip opposing Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. If Mega Gengar is not a problem, Scald can be run to spread burns, and it is also useful to wear opposing Pokemon down and deter Sturdy Shedinja. However, Primal Kyogre becomes more difficult to Imposter-proof because of the threat of burns, most likely requiring a Pokemon with an ability like Comatose or Poison Heal, limiting the team options. Spectral Thief lets Primal Kyogre steal stat boosts from the opposing Pokemon, letting it reliably check threats like Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas while preventing Kyogre from being setup fodder. Core Enforcer can nullify useful abilities like Poison Heal and Regenerator and hits Dragon-types like Giratina and Mega Rayquaza hard. Nuzzle is an option to be able to slow down fast sweepers and help with non-Choice Scarf Imposter Speed ties. However, Imposter users will be able to paralyze your Pokemon as well, limiting the possible Imposter-proofs for Primal Kyogre to status-immune Pokemon such as Comatose Giratina. Ice Beam provides decent coverage with Revelation Dance or Scald and OHKOes Mega Rayquaza, which can usually force Primal Kyogre out. If the team lacks an entry hazard remover, Rapid Spin can be run. However, this is a poor move on Primal Kyogre, as it fails to pressure common spinblockers like Giratina. Rapid Spin should be run along with Scald to effectively annoy Giratina with Scald burns and Core Enforcer nullifying Poison Heal, while also forcing out Shedinja, another spinblocker.

Set Details
========
A Sassy nature along with 0 Speed IVs is run to maximize Primal Kyogre's special bulk while letting it Speed tie with opposing mininum investment base 90 Speed Pokemon to slow pivot, letting it bring in frail teammates in safely. As an alternative, 116 Speed EVs and a Sassy nature let Primal Kyogre outspeed everything up to and including base 150 Speed Pokemon after stealing a Shell Smash boost, allowing it to KO the opposing Pokemon before taking another hit. This comes at a cost of almost always outspeeding opposing defensive pivots, however. An Assault Vest further amplifies Primal Kyogre's special bulk, letting it take on powerful special attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Gengar better. Regenerator allows Primal Kyogre to regain a third of its health every time it switches out, and is the only way for this set to recover health. This differentiates from other healing methods, as it doesn't force Primal Kyogre to lose momentum by using a recovering move.

Usage Tips
========
Switch Primal Kyogre in against special attackers it can handle, such as Mega Gengar, opposing Primal Kyogre, and Xerneas. It is important to scout the moveset of the Pokemon you are planning to switch Primal Kyogre into, as it may carry a strong coverage move, such as Bolt Strike on Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y. Be careful with strong physical attackers, as Primal Kyogre's modest physical bulk isn't enough to take strong hits. Since this set does not carry Safety Goggles, beware of Spore, as it cripples Primal Kyogre. Since Primal Kyogre needs its Assault Vest to check the special attackers it is supposed to check, avoid Knock Off, as it will reduce Primal Kyogre's special bulk. If Primal Kyogre is low on HP, switch it in safely and switch out to instantly to regain a third of its health. Because Primal Kyogre is reliant on Regenerator as its only form of recovery, avoid Core Enforcers from slower Pokemon like Registeel and Mega Audino. U-turn is excellent for regaining health with momentum, chipping opposing Pokemon and bringing in teammates safely, and is very easy to spam, especially if the opposing Pokemon is unable to pressure Primal Kyogre. Revelation Dance and Scald are also easy to spam thanks to STAB, being able to chip opposing walls and, in Scald's case, spread burns. If the opposing Pokemon is a setup sweeper, Spectral Thief will steal the stat boosts and neuter their power. While this set is vulnerable to Imposter users, using Scald or Nuzzle can burn or paralyze them, reducing their effectiveness.

Team Options
========
Steel-types such as Registeel and Celesteela are appreciated in taking on -ate Pokemon like Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza which can target Primal Kyogre's poor physical bulk. They also can take on strong physical attackers like Kartana that threaten Primal Kyogre. Imposter Chansey is useful for scouting oposing movesets, which help determine if Primal Kyogre can switch in against opposing attackers. Entry hazard removers like Magic Bounce Giratina and Mega Audino are appreciated, as Primal Kyogre hates taking chip damage, even with Regenerator. A Knock Off absorber like Griseous Orb Giratina or a Poison Heal user with its Toxic Orb already activated prevents Primal Kyogre from losing its very important Assault Vest. Dragon-types like Giratina and Zygarde-C can tank the Grass- and Electric- type moves targeted at Primal Kyogre and also help with answering Red Orb Groudon. Physical walls like Mega Slowbro and Prankster Giratina check dangerous physical wallbreakers, which force Primal Kyogre out. It is necessary to have a Pokemon that can take care of an opposing Imposter user that transformed into Primal Kyogre, as this set often gives free recovery for the opponent's Imposter. Examples include Red Orb Groudon, Ferrothorn, and Comatose Giratina. In addition, Toxic Spikes, offensive Poison Heal users like Regigigas and Xerneas, and Mold Breaker attackers such as Mega Gengar that can pressure opposing Imposter users are appreciated. Primal Kyogre's longevity and bulk allow it to be paired with powerful special attackers that it can Imposter-proof, such as Kyurem-W.

Moves
========
Quiver Dance is a reliable setup move to boost Primal Kyogre's offensive presence and special bulk. It also boosts Kyogre's Speed, potentially allowing a sweep and letting it outspeed dangerous offensive threats such as Mega Mewtwo Y at +1. Water Spout is a powerful STAB move that is very threatening to anything that doesn't resist it, while the passive Poison Heal recovery helps keep its power high. However, it only has 8 PP. Scald is a reliable alternative STAB move with good PP and decent power along with a chance to burn the opposing Pokemon, letting Primal Kyogre threaten physical attackers more. However, it is much weaker compared to Water Spout and is less threatening. Also, Scald burns can conflict with sleep Primal Kyogre may want to inflict instead. Moonblast is a good coverage move that hits Dragon-types as well as Mega Gyarados and Mega Mewtwo X hard. It does make Ferrothorn and Red Orb Groudon problems, however. Ice Beam is an alternative coverage move that hits Dragon- and Grass-types and hits Mega Rayquaza and Zygarde-C harder than Moonblast. It can also provide potential hax through fishing for freezes, but it does mean Primal Kyogre will struggle with opposing Primal Kyogre and Mega Gyarados. Lovely Kiss puts foes to sleep and bypasses Safety Goggles, opening up free turns that allow Primal Kyogre to regain health with Poison Heal during the sleep turns. It also cripples defensive Pokemon to break past them easier and allows Primal Kyogre to defeat Imposter. Poison Heal also prevents backfiring from Magic Bounce, allowing Primal Kyogre to safely run Lovely Kiss without fear it will be put to sleep if the move is bounced back. Spore is a more reliable way to put foes asleep, though Primal Kyogre prefers Knock Off support to remove Safety Goggles that block it. Tail Glow gives Primal Kyogre an immediate power boost, letting it defeat defensive answers like Poison Heal Giratina. Freeze-Dry is an alternative coverage move that provides perfect neutral coverage with Water, but it is quite weak and worsens the Imposter matchup.

Set Details
========
A Modest nature provides extra power; the extra Speed provided by Timid isn't very useful, since Primal Kyogre outspeeds everything up to and including Timid Mega Mewtwo Y at +1 already. On the other hand, the extra power can allow Kyogre to defeat some bulky walls such as RegenVest Registeel with Water Spout at +1 and is useful for chipping down defensive answers when unboosted. A Toxic Orb reliably activates Poison Heal, which provides Primal Kyogre with an immunity to status and gives a passive recovery of 12.5% of the maximum health each turn, making Kyogre durable and difficult to wear down. The immunity to other status also lets it absorb sleep moves and defeat Imposter users by putting them to sleep. Poison Heal also makes Primal Kyogre a decent Knock Off absorber after Toxic Orb activation.

Usage Tips
========
Pivot Primal Kyogre in safely to activate the Toxic Orb, as failing to activate Poison Heal greatly diminishes Primal Kyogre's ability by removing its passive healing and status immunity. Once Poison Heal has been triggered, Primal Kyogre can set up in front of defensive Pokemon that cannot threaten it. Beware of Spectral Thief, as it can steal Primal Kyogre's boosts, which not only reduces Primal Kyogre's power but also makes the opponent bulkier. Avoid Core Enforcer, Entrainment, and Worry Seed, because they will nullify Poison Heal and result in Primal Kyogre taking massive poison damage. Unboosted Water Spout can be used to chip opposing Pokemon and scout for the opponent's Primal Kyogre answer. Use Tail Glow against bulky teams to break through them faster, which also leaves Primal Kyogre less susceptible to Spectral Thief, as it will not give the opponent Special Defense boosts. If Primal Kyogre is low on health, bring it in via a slow pivot to gain free Poison Heal health. After a few turns of Poison Heal recovery, Primal Kyogre will often be healthy enough to set up again. If needed, Primal Kyogre can defensively check Refrigerate users. Thanks to Poison Heal negating chip damage and status, Primal Kyogre can sponge U-turn and status as well as Knock Off once Toxic Orb has been activated.

Team Options
========
A slow pivot like Registeel or Mega Audino can bring Primal Kyogre in safely to activate Toxic Orb. Attackers such as Mega Sceptile and Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y that can pressure Water-type switch-ins like Primal Kyogre and Giratina are appreciated, as the aforementioned Pokemon can eat a hit and use Core Enforcer, forcing Primal Kyogre out. An entry hazard setter is nice to chip switch-ins and help Primal Kyogre pressure them, as they are generally susceptible to entry hazards, especially Spikes. Since Primal Kyogre often attracts Core Enforcer to negate Poison Heal, a Fairy-type can come in safely to gain momentum. Examples include Mega Audino, Mega Diancie, and Xerneas.

Moves
========
Revelation Dance is a decently strong STAB move that can hit Normalize Mega Gengar even after Primal Kyogre has been hit with Entrainment, though Primal Kyogre must be careful, as it can still lose to Quiver Dance variants if they have used Entrainment on the switch. Scald is an alternative STAB move that spreads burns if Normalize Mega Gengar is not a problem. Shore Up is mandatory to keep Primal Kyogre healthy throughout the match. Spectral Thief lets Primal Kyogre steal stat boosts, allowing it to check setup attackers. It also deals respectable damage against super effective targets like Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y. U-turn can allow slow pivots to bring in teammates safely. It is chosen over other pivoting moves because it is unblockable, unlike Volt Switch and Parting Shot, and can break Focus Sash, unlike Baton Pass. Core Enforcer and Entrainment can remove abilities such as Poison Heal from the opposing Pokemon, effectively forcing them out. Note that Core Enforcer also pressures Dragon-types such as Giratina, while Entrainment has more PP and can hit Fairy-types. Nuzzle slows down fast sweepers and helps with Speed ties with non-Choice Scarf Imposter users, especially against Contrary users like Mega Sceptile. Anchor Shot can trap Imposter users lured in by Primal Kyogre and PP stall them. Defog is an option to clear entry hazards and pairs well with Magic Bounce. Topsy-Turvy can be run over Spectral Thief hit Normal-types like Arceus while being more useful against special Contrary attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y.

Set Details
========
A Sassy nature lets Primal Kyogre take strong special attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y better as well and makes the Primal Kyogre and Xerneas matchup easier. A Relaxed nature, on the other hand, slightly patches Primal Kyogre's lower Defense stat and reduces chip damage from U-turn and Spectral Thief. A Sassy nature is usually the better choice, however, as Primal Kyogre is more suited as a specially defensive Pokemon. Safety Goggles prevents Spore, as some setup attackers carry Spore, which cripples Primal Kyogre and temporarily shuts it down. Leftovers grants passive recovery, which is useful for negating chip damage and increasing Primal Kyogre's longevity. Unaware lets Primal Kyogre ignore opposing stat boosts, which allows it to beat certain setup sweepers. Magic Bounce is an alternative that prevents sleep from Lovely Kiss and blocks Entrainment, letting Primal Kyogre counter Xerneas and Mega Gengar more effectively without getting put to sleep. This also allows Primal Kyogre to run a different item over Safety Goggles. Ghostium Z lets Kyogre safely defeat Normalize Gengar while OHKOing Mega Mewtwo Y as well.

Usage Tips
========
Use Primal Kyogre to answer dangerous setup attackers like Mega Gengar and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas. With Unaware, it can also check certain Contrary and Shell Smash users like Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Gengar. However, be careful around Mold Breaker, Moongeist Beam, and Photon Geyser, as they ignore Unaware and can heavily damage Primal Kyogre. Also watch out for ability-nullifying moves like Core Enforcer and Entrainment, since they also remove Unaware and make Primal Kyogre much more susceptible to setup. Use Spectral Thief against boosted targets, as it makes them easier to handle for teammates. Stealing defensive boosts can also help Primal Kyogre take more hits, with notable examples being Moongeist Beam and Photon Geyser, as those attacks ignore Unaware but not stat boosts. Revelation Dance and Scald are great for chipping opposing Pokemon and U-turn is a great option against foes that fail to pressure Primal Kyogre. Core Enforcer is effective at annoying the opponent, especially against Pokemon that heavily depend on their ability, such as Poison Heal and Regenerator users. Keep Primal Kyogre's health high with Shore Up, especially against known setup attackers like Mega Gengar and Contrary Mega Mewtwo Y, as Primal Kyogre can get 2HKOed if not healthy enough.

Team Options
========
Bulky Steel-types like Registeel and Aegislash, especially with Flash Fire, can take on -ate Pokemon while being able to answer some threatening physical attackers like Mega Rayquaza and Kartana. Checks to powerful physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X are appreciated, as Primal Kyogre cannot take them on well. Examples include Mega Slowbro, Zygarde-C, and Prankster Giratina. Bulky walls such as Zygarde-C that struggle against strong setup attackers, especially specially attacking ones, appreciate Primal Kyogre blanket checking them, while they can help against wallbreakers that can use brute force to break through Primal Kyogre. Entry hazard removers are necessary, as Primal Kyogre is vulnerable to chip damage, which forces it to waste momentum recovering, as it needs to have high health to check the appropriate attackers. Defensive Pokemon that can run Defog, Rapid Spin, and Magic Bounce like Registeel, Yveltal, and Mega Audino, respectively, are also good options. Despite Unaware, Primal Kyogre can get overwhelmed by certain setup sweepers like Contrary Mega Rayquaza and Mega Sceptile and Belly Drum Kartana. Thus, a secondary setup answer such as Prankster Registeel or Giratina can help.

Moves
========
Boosted by rain, STAB, and Choice Specs, Water Spout is ridiculously powerful and can OHKO common defensive Pokemon like Registeel and Mega Audino. Steam Eruption is a good secondary STAB move that is useful for spreading burns and when Primal Kyogre is low on health. The potential threat of a burn also deters Sturdy Shedinja as well as physical revenge killers like mixed -ate Mega Rayquaza and Mega Diancie. Ice Beam provides good coverage and hits Pokemon such as Giratina and Mega Rayquaza hard without consuming Water Spout PP. It also does a good chunk to Red Orb Groudon and OHKOes Zygarde-C, which no other move can, especially on Tinted Lens variants. Volt Switch lets Primal Kyogre pivot out of checks to deal chip damage and gain momentum. U-turn is an option if the Imposter-proof teammate isn't Primal Groudon, letting Primal Kyogre pivot out while not getting blocked by opposing Primal Groudon. Water Shuriken is a decent priority move that can revenge kill some Pokemon or clean up some faster threats. However, the damage output is quite lacking even with rain and Choice Specs, and Primal Kyogre usually appreciates the coverage or pivoting more. Also, running Water Shuriken results in three Water moves and a lot of type redundancy. Earth Power specifically hits Red Orb Groudon, which is immune to the Water moves thanks to Desolate Land, guaranteeing an OHKO with some prior chip damage, but it doesn't hit any other relevant targets. Moonblast is an alternative move to hit Dragon-types while letting a teammate Red Orb Groudon Imposter-proof Primal Kyogre, since it will resist or be immune to all Primal Kyogre's moves. Knock Off can be run to remove Assault Vests from opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina, Eviolite from Chansey, and even Protective Pads from Shedinja, allowing Primal Kyogre to break past them more easily or making them easier to be dealt with by teammates. However, it is usually better on a teammate instead, as a Choice-locked and unboosted Knock Off can be taken advantage of easily.

Set Details
========
A Modest nature provides Primal Kyogre with maximum power, letting it hit important benchmarks such as OHKOing Registeel and 2HKOing Giratina. A Timid nature can be run to outspeed neutral-natured base 90 Speed Pokemon such as Impish or Bold Giratina and 2HKO it, but such Pokemon usually don't run max Speed. Choice Specs boosts Primal Kyogre's Special Attack to sky-high levels. Primordial Sea boosts Primal Kyogre's Water-type moves by 50%, and combined with Choice Specs it leaves very few Pokemon capable of taking Water Spout, limited to the most bulky Pokemon that resist or are immune to Water such as RegenVest Primal Kyogre and Giratina. If rain is set by a teammate, Tinted Lens can be run to fully remove all switch-ins, OHKOing non-Assault Vest Giratina. Tinted Lens can also be run outside of rain support to pressure Pokemon that resist harder, but Primal Kyogre misses out on many key OHKOs on other passive Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. Swift Swim can also be run to outspeed up to and including Mega Mewtwo Y and lets Primal Kyogre take on otherwise faster foes.

Usage Tips
========
Bring Primal Kyogre in safely through a slow pivot, as it loses a lot of its wallbreaking power if it takes chip damage that reduces Water Spout's base power. In general, Water Spout will be chosen as the attack due to its astronomical power. Against Imposter users, try to fish for a burn from Steam Eruption or pivot out with Volt Switch to do some chip damage and gain momentum. Scouting opposing sets, such as with Imposter, is important to determine if Primal Kyogre is capable of breaking through walls; for example, RegenVest Dialga is difficult for Primal Kyogre to break through without support, whereas offensive Dialga is 2HKOed. If the opposing Pokemon is faster or Primal Kyogre is unable to handle it, it is ideal to switch out to avoid damage. Do not let Primal Kyogre take any chip damage such as from entry hazards if it is trying to wallbreak effectively, as it needs to have maximum power Water Spout for many crucial benchmarks, so Wish passing and Z-Parting Shot can mitigate this somewhat. If needed, Primal Kyogre can be used to remove a dangerous threat such as Mega Mewtwo Y, as Steam Eruption can still OHKO it while its good bulk allows it to take a hit and retaliate. This is not recommended if you still need Primal Kyogre for wallbreaking later, however. Try to preserve Water Spout's PP, such as by clicking Ice Beam against Giratina, as the PP is very important. Watch out for Prankster Destiny Bond, as this could mean trading away an important wallbreaker that the opponent lacks a switch-in to.

Team Options
========
Slow, bulky pivots such as Registeel, Mega Audino, and Mega Slowbro are crucial to bring this set in safely to maintain Water Spout's power, and they also can sponge the opponent's hits when Primal Kyogre switches out. They also can force common defensive answers such as Magic Bounce Registeel and Mega Audino in, both of which Primal Kyogre is capable of OHKOing. Knock Off users such as Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados are appreciated to remove Assault Vests from opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina, which otherwise wall Primal Kyogre. They can also remove Imposter Chansey's Eviolite, which makes it much easier to chip down. Mega Tyranitar in particular can also threaten Giratina, one common answer to Kyogre. Entry hazard removers are very important to keep Primal Kyogre healthy, and good examples include Magic Bounce Giratina and Magearna. Conversely, hazard setters are appreciated to ease the matchup against bulky switch-ins like Primal Kyogre and Giratina while chipping Imposter users every time they attempt to switch in. Wish passers like Zygarde-C and Z-Parting Shot users such as Soundproof Mega Slowbro can give Primal Kyogre a second chance at breaking by restoring chipped health. Zygarde-C can also remove hazards while Mega Slowbro is a very slow pivot. Depending on the set, Pokemon to Imposter-proof Primal Kyogre such as RegenVest Primal Kyogre and Red Orb Groudon are needed, as this Primal Kyogre set cannot damage Imposter users too much and will require a teammate that can switch in after they come in. A Pokemon that can lure or remove Imposter is valuable by removing an important defensive switch-in. Examples include defensive Pokemon that can trap and PP-stall Imposter users, Mega Gengar, and Poison Heal Regigigas or Xerneas. Toxic Spikes are very helpful, as they deter Imposter and also pressure other switch-ins such as Primal Kyogre and Giratina.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
For the Unaware set, Baton Pass can be run over U-turn for the extra PP in slower matchups and its ability to ignore contact move-punishing moves and Rocky Helmet, but it cannot break Focus Sashes and also passes stat drops. In addition, Beak Blast is an option to deter contact moves such as U-turn, but Primal Kyogre loses out on a lot of the utility other moves bring. Other defensive abilities such as Comatose and Fur Coat can also be run; Comatose can prevent some status moves and provide a counter to Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas that, unlike Magic Bounce variants, will not get poisoned from Toxic Spikes and Poison Fang, while Fur Coat improves Primal Kyogre's physical bulk and allows it to check some physical attackers better, like Kyurem-B. However, those sets are generally less viable or better run on another defensive Pokemon. A Sheer Force set using Steam Eruption, Ice Beam, Bolt Strike, and Shell Smash is a fast sweeper that can surprise many teams due to its immediate increase in power and can OHKO opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina with a boosted Bolt Strike pr Ice Beam. A defensive Poison Heal set is possible with Scald, Stealth Rock, Spiky Shield, and Ice Beam or Knock Off, providing a hazard setter with longevity while not requiring much team support.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Primal Kyogre and Mega Gyarados both resist Water, have great special bulk, and don't take much from coverage moves. Opposing Primal Kyogre can use Core Enforcer and Spectral Thief to deal damage back while Mega Gyarados threatens with Knock Off. All Mega Gyarados sets and non-RegenVest Kyogre get 2HKOed by maximum power Water Spout from the wallbreaker set, however.

**Other Bulky Water Answers**: Bulky Pokemon that resist Water, such as Giratina and Ferrothorn, can take Primal Kyogre's Water moves with ease and proceed to retaliate. They can also tank the coverage moves if needed. The wallbreaker set can 2HKO them with Water Spout, however.

**Red Orb Groudon**: Red Orb Groudon sets Desolate Land, which renders Primal Kyogre's Water-type STAB moves useless and takes the coverage moves well. In return, it can 2HKO Primal Kyogre with V-create or set up. It fears Earth Power from the wallbreaker set, however, and loses if the weather has been reset if Primal Kyogre switches in or its ability has been nullified by Core Enforcer or other ability-removing moves. The rare Fur Coat Primal Kyogre can also tank the hits and defeat Primal Groudon.

**Imposter Users**: Imposter Chansey is one of the few switch-ins to the wallbreaker and threatens Primal Kyogre out. It can also recover in front of defensive sets and take advantage of Regenerator for free. It can also annoy the RegenVest set with Core Enforcer, removing the only source of recovering health. However, it loses to the Poison Heal set and cannot switch in safely to the Sheer Force set.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Kartana, and Regigigas can target Primal Kyogre's weaker physical bulk and defeat it. Mega Mewtwo Y can use Psystrike to do the same. The physical attackers must be wary of burns, although Regigigas doesn't care if Toxic Orb has been activated.

**Powerful Wallbreakers**: Super powerful attackers such as Choice Specs Mega Rayquaza can use brute force to break past even defensive Primal Kyogre.

**Grass- and Electric-types**: Grass- and Electric-types such as Mega Sceptile and Zekrom can hit Primal Kyogre for super effective damage. Grass-types have a bonus of resisting Water. These Pokemon are rare in the metagame, though.

Make sure to change this thread's title to Primal Kyogre [QC 0/3] if it is ready to be viewed by the QC team.

Its good special bulk and decent physical bulk amplifies its defensive ability while its high 180 base special attack makes Primal Kyogre a strong attacker.
This isn't true. If it was a strong special attacker, Primal Kyogre will be able to viably run multiple offensive sets and thus the analysis will cover them accordingly, but it doesn't. I would reword this to retaining a good offensive presence - 150 Attack is also noteworthy here because Spectral Thief hurts a lot for Mewtwos and Mega Gengar.

Overview can also add a list of things Primal Kyogre checks - PH xern / pogre, Dialga, and Mega Gengar. When it comes to being hit by Mgar's neutral Judgment, Pogre is one of the few things that avoid Judgment and it also can't be hit super effectively by any moves Mgar commonly carries, so it justifies itself as a Mgar check.

The rest of the Overview looks good to me. It seems like you have well reworded my pre-written version.

RegenVest set can run 16 Speed EVs with Calm nature - this allows Primal Kyogre to outspeed MMX / MMY / occasional Deo-A after stealing their Shell Smash boosts so that Pogre can KO them next turn with U-turn without having to eat another hit - this is especially important to keep Pogre healthy against offensive teams where setup will be prevalent for obvious reasons.

Other moves you want to cover won't fit in Set Details. Nuzzle and Ice Beam can be moved to Other Options and can have explanation added (about what makes them justifiable)

==

Usage Tips for Unaware set can remove things...

  • U-turn is a very spammable move, being able to gain momentum and regain health at the same time.
  • Revelation Dance should always be clicked against Mega Gengar and is Kyogre's strongest move against neutral targets.
  • Use Spectral Thief against set up sweepers like Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, and certain Contrary users.
  • Core Enforcer is very useful against Poison Heal users and also useful in nullifying abilities like -ate abilities and Regenerator. Remember that Primal Kyogre must underspeed the opponent for the effect to trigger.
These are all extraneous and belong to Moves section. We can instead add about being cautious about Sleep-inducing moves, Knock Off, and others. RegenVest in general ends up being a wincon against many fat teams in a long run so I'd say adding this in Usage Tips will be something worthwhile as well. Scald can also talk about preventing Sturdy Shedinja from completely stopping Pogre - this point can be discussed in Moves.

==

Team Options can have a point about teammates that check physical attackers. Teammates already listed fail to handle MMX and Primal Groudon properly. Appropriate examples can be added to the new bullet.

==

Choice of nature on Set Details for Unaware can have some elaborations added. Specify what makes you chose Relaxed nature better than Sassy nature. I think Sassy nature is much better to take on Contrary users and PH xern / pogre in general, but unless you have other reasons... do what you think is right. Also specify that Unaware ignores boosts - new readers may not know what Unaware exactly does.

Usage Tips can specify what Contrary users Pogre can check.

Team Options can cover defensive partners that can provide more of an immediate defensive presence - they are justifiable because Pogre is Unaware and will manage to stop setup sweepers. You cover Steel-types here but you can also mention marginally bulkier walls - Zygarde-C is one of the best defensive partners in Unaware Pogre for this reason. I will leave a reasoning up to you for finish.

This is what the set should look like. PH variants of Pogre has very small number of instances where it can justify to forgo Quiver Dance - if you are using it defensively, AV Regen provides better longevity while other PH users like Xerneas or even Giratina can sponge Knock Off & status better. Shore Up is terrible because inviting in Imposter for free healing turn is not very ideal.

Water Spout should be the first slash. Scald may seem better in a long run but harassing fat teams in a long run is completely outclassed by PH xern carrying Lava Plume - it is just better than Pogre at this role because of core immunity. Water Spout is probably the only factor left for PH Pogre to differentiate itself with other things by threatening offensive teams more. Less PP / inability to spread status / inconsistency are obvious drawbacks that you can specify.

Moonblast generally proves to be the most consistent option as it covers Mega Gyarados and Dragon-types at the same time. Hitting MMX is also a bonus - having a chance to OHKO it with +1 Moonblast after SR is always cool. Ice Beam is still there because Zygarde-C / OHKOing Mray / other things. +1 Moonblast KOs Mega Ray after SR regardless of Pogre's nature so it is generally a solid option.

I would say Leech Seed can simply have a mention in Moves section - Sleep move is almost mandatory for PH Ogre because it isn't powerful to pose an immediate threat like Regigigas would. Lovely Kiss is going to be a first slash because C&C will never assume a Pokemon's teammates and the game's circumstances. Spore can be explained as a secondary option which is more consistent and is much more usable with teammates that provide Knock Off support.

Remove other extraneous things like Freeze-Dry and Defog - Freeze-Dry can go into OO because it has some uses but it worsens Imposter matchup, and Defog is just... meh

==

Set Details can cover that Modest nature provides PH Pogre chances to OHKO MMX (98% min roll), MMY, and Regigigas with +1 Water Spout. Mega Audino also has a chance to drop after SR. This is a terrifying showcase of damage output against many offensive teams.

Usage Tips is somewhat... incorrect.

  • Once Poison Heal has been triggered, Kyogre can set up in front of defensive Pokemon.
  • Beware of Spectral Thief, as it can steal Kyogre's boosts which not only reduces Kyogre's power, it also makes the opponent bulkier.
  • Avoid Core Enforcer, because it will nullify Poison Heal and result in Kyogre taking massive Poison damage.
These conflict each other. You mention that spectral and core are things to watch out for so you might want to edit your first bullet to caution readers about scouting various walls and analyzing what things pogre can set up on. Defensively checking Refrigerate users, absorbing chip damage with U-turn, absorbing status... many other things can be covered in this section.

Team Options can go over offensive partners that breaks Magic Bounce / special walls / Unaware's. MMX is one of the best options here to threaten prank users (apart from cress) and Mega Gyarados. There are tons of teammates that would suffice for this. Many wallbreakers can fit because of how Pogre is good at threatening offensive teams with setups.

==

Choice Specs Wallbreaker set might be worth considering for a removal in all honesty. I don't see a reason to use this over other specs users like Mray or MMY - yes, they have their things resisted by Steel-types, but they can at least function against offense with their Speed / bulk / whatever the perks they possess over Pogre. I think the best option is to say why offensive Pogre set is hard to function (easily revenge killed by offensive teams, water-resists like giratina / pdon exists, mono-STAB means many mandated coverage moves and thus is very prediction-reliant) in Other Options. Up to you and QC though.

Other Options can further add that Earth Power prevents Pogre from dealing with Mray - small nitpick but worth an addition because no hitting flint's favorite pokemon one of the most relevant threats in the tier is nasty.

==

Checks and Counters can have some re-ordering:

* Water-types (Pogre and Mega Gyarados)
* Other Pokemon that resist Water (you covered these)
* Primal Groudon
* Physical Attackers
* Electric- and Grass-type attacks
* Core Enforcer

Mgyara and Pogre check Pogre for similar reasons, with Mgyara having access to slower pivot in addition to its ability to viably run Knock Off to threaten AV regen sets.

Primal Groudon deserves its own section because it invalidates Pogre in most matchups. Variants with Synthesis just sits on pogre all day and offensive variants can just Shell Smash the turn it wakes up and retaliate. Pdon in general is good at overloading Pogre - while Pogre can narrowly avoid 2HKOs from Thousand Arrows, sun-boosted V-Create will always 2HKO so it can't even reliably handle it defensively either. Not to mention that PH sets struggle to hit it properly.

Core Enforcer is there because all Pogre sets you mentioned are heavily reliant on their abilities. AV regen getting cored means it is gonna be chipped and PH getting cored results in obvious results. This is the move that Pogre generally hates.

Imposter is removed because the reasoning you put applies to any fat AV regen mon - none of them has enough offensive presence to deter imp from coming in and healing 33% each time.

Happy writing.

| overview
this is meant to be in dot points, but now that youve done it like this might as well leave it

mono water is not a unique typing. i understand what youre trying to say here but the way its worded implies that mono water is an uncommon typing which it isnt

the overview should discuss what sets the pokemon runs, what roles it fills on teams, and why its worth running over the alternatives, otherwise the stuff youre saying is decontextualised.

you say that pogre has decent physical bulk and then later that it has lacklustre physical bulk, feels like a contradiction

dont say what its stats are, put them in context. rather than saying that it has 180 special attack, tell them why that matters and the effect that has on its viability

this overview focuses far too much on pogre's defensive capabilities and not nearly enough on its strengths offensively. pogre has multiple viable offensive sets and the reason that its defensive sets are as good as they are is bc its hard to switch into and threatens to straight up 2hko a lot of stuff rather than just passively sitting in front of it

mgyara doesnt really compete with pogre. the way its worded currently implies that gyara is generally better than pogre defensively which is entirely untrue

| regenvest set
slash ice beam with core enforcer and slash nuzzle with spectral

move spin to oo

explain why revdance is relevant vs normalise gar. remember that these analyses are made for people who dont necessarily have much experience in bh, and the normalise + entrainment set may not be familiar to them. also revdance retaining its type through normalise is a kinda obscure and unintuitive mechanical interaction that you cannot expect the reader to know about

why is scald spreading burns helpful? (helps wear stuff down, deters shed)

set details: explain why slow pivoting is useful

dont just say what regenerator does, explain why its useful

team options: mega rayquaza is mentioned twice in the section on steel types. also ferrothorn does not take on any mega rayquaza set

earlier youve said that pogre is a good m2y check and in the team options youre suggesting running other pokemon to help pogre deal with it, this is sending mixed messages

mention an imposter proof

| unaware set
moves in order of importance, move the stab move up to 2nd or 3rd spot

entrainment > worry seed, it has more pp and pogre generally doesnt care about its opponents gaining unaware

slash leftovers with goggles

spectral thief is also good bc its a decently powerful attack

why are slow pivots helpful? why uturn instead of other options?

core enforcer is also good bc its an attack

again, explain revdance vs normalise gar (you dont have to go into too much detail tho, a wording like 'revelation dance hits normalise gengar after it has used entrainment on you' works just fine)

elaborate more on beak blast and topsy turvy. what do they do for this set? what moves would they replace? what teams appreciate them?

set details: what physical attackers does pogre take on better with relaxed? elaborate

explain the benefits of leftovers

usage tips: youve got shore up on the set and you refer to recover here

team options: change 'fur coat darks' to 'fur coat yveltal' bc thats the only one that takes on m2x. intimidate giratina is an unset, too niche to mention in the analysis especially seeing as it has negative synergy with unaware (unaware ignores the attack drop)

"Bulky walls such as Zygarde-C appreciate Kyogre blanket checking set up attackers." this is kinda vague. i understand youre saying that zygarde-c struggles against set-up which pogre handles but its not super clear

| ph set
quiver dance also boosts speed, thats kinda important here

elaborate more on water spout. explain how its power lets pogre break through basically anything that doesnt resist water, and how ph helps keep its power up

scald burns also help pogre wear down its defensive checks

moonblast hits dragons slightly harder than what?

the benefit of ice beam is its better matchup vs mega ray and big zyg and the ability to break passive defensive checks by fishing for freezes

explain the value in putting opponents to sleep

explain why spore appreciates (not requires) knock off support. this is something that could go in team options maybe

sturdy shedinja, not sturdinja

in set details: go into more detail about the benefits of modest. why does pogre benefit from more power

what specific base 90s and base 100s does timid help with?

talk more about the benefits of poison heal in set details, ie makes pogre really hard to wear down, lets it beat imposter, takes sleep moves

in team options: fairy types to get momentum on core enforcer

| specs set
i think earth power should not be a primary slash on this set and certainly should not be listed above ice beam, id change the moves to something like

move 1: Water Spout
move 2: Steam Eruption
move 3: Ice Beam / Volt Switch
move 4: Volt Switch / Water Shuriken / Earth Power

mention that spout only gets those ohkos with primsea

steam eruption has value in deterring shed as well

also mention ice beam ohkoing zygarde (particularly relevant on tinted bc no other move on the tinted set does this)

make the point on moonblast a bit clearer, remembering that your audience may not be super familiar with imposter proofing

in set details: dont list every pokemon that can take spout

tinted is best on rain but its viable outside of it

in usage tips: "Watch out for Prankster users, as often Kyogre is very valuable in such match ups and can be unfavourable to trade with Destiny Bond." what 'such matchups' are you referring to? this sentence is unclear

in team options: explain a bit what imposter proofing means. just something basic like 'if imposter chansey switches in, you need to have a teammate that can take it on.'

also mention mons that can weaken or lure imposter here

rain support for tinted set

| other options
poison fang, knock off, and dragon tail on regenvest

on unaware, anchor shot, defog, bpass are all options

swift swim (either specs or tail glow)
sheer force (set runs steam/ice beam/bolt strike/shell smash)

explain the utility of pogres other defensive sets a bit more. ie bounce is a hard ph xern/ogre counter that bounces hazards, fc counters a range of physical attackers that other ogre sets struggle with

amqc, this one is kind of out of order sorry

Its good special bulk and passable physical bulk amplifies its defensive ability
you go on later to talk about how it has bad physical bulk, i'd take out the "passable physical bulk" part because ogre isn't rly a physical wall feel me

for ogre's other flaws, mention water being a bad offensive typing because it's resisted by common mons like gira/gyara/ogre/pdon/ferro/ray while only really hitting ttar and nihilego super effectively, this makes offensive ogre slightly worse than other wallbreakers and limits the effectiveness of offensive ph.

also imposter is really bad news for wallbreaker ogre because it gets a resist and 150 spdef which is lame. you're gonna have a really bad time breaking eviolite if you can't lure it.

If Mega Gengar is not a problem, Scald can be run to spread burns, and is useful to wear opponents down and deter Sturdy Shedinja.
mention that this makes ogre harder to imposter-proof because they can burn your guys, if you have like comatose gira or something go for it though.

mention that spin isn't that bad if you have scald because you can burn gira and shed and hit ph gira with that sick core which is ok, only comatose can spinblock you reliably

discuss how ice beam and nuzzle are good, ice beam ohkos ray which is ok and nuzzle can kinda slow down stuff like contrary scept but it's pretty unnecessary if you have scarf imposter in the wings

16 Speed EVs and a Calm Nature lets Kyogre outspeed everything up to and including base 150s after stealing a Shell Smash boost, allowing it to KO the opponent before taking another hit.
this is outclassed by 116 speed sassy which hits the same speed but doesn't lower your attack.
Team Options
the stuff you have here is fine (although i could see multiple points condensed down to just "physical walls"), something i would definitely add is a way to pressure imposter. if your team is entirely passive imposter will regenerate all over everyone and you'll lose. stuff like tspikes, offensive ph users, mold breaker guys could work.

honestly i'd slash magic bounce on this set. it runs the same moves (also maybe defog in slot 3) and it's a pretty relevant set, finding a spot on hl's rmt thanks to its ability to counter ph xern and gar. also nuzzle in slot 3 is probably an option because it makes the contrary matchup much easier.

A Relaxed Nature slightly patches the lower defense stat and lets Primal Kyogre take physical attacks better, such as having better chances of beating Belly Drum Kartana.
ogre is like the worst drum kart check because you lose to power whip either way, instead say that it gets chipped less by stuff like giratina spectral and random uturns.

i wouldn't run leech seed at all on this, yeah you still 1v1 imposter but they can just leech you and switch out, and you get forced out by core and spectral users regardless. slash tail glow slot 4, it helps you break past defensive answers like ph gira. you still beat imposter by spamming qd unless ur running unmove freeze dry

slash timid and swift swim

timid helps you 2hko +def giratina without having to worry about lame speed ties, swift swim is ok on rain because you don't have to worry about mmy and stuff outspeeding. you're running pdon probably anyway so your team is gonna be pretty slow

slash knock in last slot because you can shut down regenvest ogre in particular which is rly annoying for psea ogre in particular to deal with. removing eviolite from imposter and pads from shed is also excellent. you still imposter proof with pdon

slash uturn third slot in case you're not imposter proofing with pdon, it's cool on rain because you can pivot out even if they have pdon.
Do not let Kyogre take any chip damage if it is trying to wallbreak effectively, as it needs to have max power Water Spout for many crucial benchmarks, Wish passing and Z-Parting Shot can mitigate this somewhat
Avoid switching into hazards, as Kyogre does not want to take any chip unless necessary.
these should be merged

If needed, Primal Kyogre can be used to remove a dangerous threat
what does this mean?? i'm assuming you mean like switching him in on mmy or something but this is super unclear
Watch out for Prankster users, as this could mean trading away an important breaker that the opponent lacks a switch-in to.
specify dbond
Revelation Dance is a good STAB move that hits Normalize Mega Gengar after being Entrained.
it's worth noting that this ogre can lose to gar 1v1 because they entrain on the switch and qd for days then 2hko you. slash ghostium z on unaware imo
Other Options
most of these are set specific so they should either be slashed on the set or removed entirely. my opinion on them is:

other moves on regenvest: remove. it seems like you should be able to fit these, but in practice uturn is non negotiable, revdance means you don't need another norm gar counter and you don't need to guess gar sets, spectral means you actually beat xern, and core/ice beam means you hit triage ray for meaningful damage. not sure where knock/dtail/pfang go, yeah you can pressure fat mons but usually the blanket check to special attackers is more valuable.

anchor and defog on unaware: add, ogre kinda has a free slot on this set besides revdance/roost/spectral.

earth power ph: i could see qd 3 attacks working, nothing less though. slash last slot or remove.

swift swim i suggested earlier lol
A Sheer Force set using Steam Eruption, Ice Beam, Bolt Strike, and Shell Smash is a fast sweeper that can surprise many teams.
mention how this surprises teams: most ppl think ogre is just a special sweeper and it doesn't have that much immediate power so you can just smash on the regenvest ogre and take names with that broken bolt strike and ohko gira with ice beam at +2. note that it's generally worse than stuff like mg diancie and sf mmy once they know the set, plus u lose to shed

add support ph, something like bold scald/ice beam or knock/sr/spiky shield. gets you hazards while not requiring support and generally being hard to kill.

**Other bulky Water resists**: Bulky Pokemon that resist Water, such as Giratina and Ferrothorn can take the Water moves with ease and proceed to retaliate. They can also tank the coverage moves if needed.
those die to 2 water spouts from wallbreaker, mention that they're annoying for defensive sets though

**Red Orb Groudon**: Red Orb Groudon sets Desolate Land, which renders Kyogre's Water STABs useless and takes the coverage moves well. In return, it 2HKOs with V-create or can set up. It fears Earth Power from the Wallbreaker set, however.
mention that pdon dies if psea ogre comes in on it to refresh rain and shuriken kills even if it's boosted. it also loses to fc ogre although that's more rare

**Imposter**: Imposter Chansey is one of the few switch ins to the Wallbreaker and threaten Kyogre out. It can also recover up in front of defensive sets.
imposter loses to ph and doesn't switch in safely on sheer force, so it's not 100% safe
Hazard removers are necessary, as Kyogre is vulnerable to chip and needs to waste momentum recovering.
everything is vulnerable to chip, how is kyogre "more" vulnerable? mention that it needs to be at high hp to check what it wants to

Wassup AMQC. Implement what you want. Remember to check your GP as well :] Change mentions of "Kyogre" to "Primal Kyogre", because unlike PDon, it can start off with its Primal form.
[OVERVIEW]

Primal Kyogre has a unique mono water typing in BH that allows it to run unique defensive and offensive sets. Its good special bulk amplifies its defensive ability while its high 180 base special attack and 150 base attack gives Primal Kyogre a good offensive presence, reducing its passivity and threatening attackers. Mono water only has 2 weaknesses to electric and grass that are both fairly uncommon in BH while providing useful resistances to fire, steel, water, and Ice. While I'd say Grass is a pretty rare type, Electric-type coverage isn't that rare at all, commonly seen on KB, Sheer Force MMY, and Pdon, which are all pretty big threats in BH. These traits allow Kyogre to answer threats such as Poison Heal Primal Kyogre POgre can take most variants of itself on, assuming not much boosts has been accumulated, so perhaps just opposing POgre? and Xerneas, Mega Gengar, and Dialga. It also can run a variety of offensive sets such as Poison Heal and Choice Specs Rain that are difficult to switch into and can be very unpredictable and threatening to teams. However, Primal Kyogre's speed is slow in the meta and leaves it prone to faster attackers. Also, Water is a poor offensive typing hitting very few Pokemon super effectively while being resisted by common typings such as Dragon and Water. In addition, despite its good special bulk, its physical bulk is quite lacklustre and leaves it weak to powerful physical attackers like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo X.

Thanks to Regenerator, U-turn allows Primal Kyogre to pivot without being blocked by Ground types unlike Volt Switch or Magic Bounce and Soundproof users unlike Parting Shot, which allows it to gain momentum and health. I wouldn't say Thanks to Regenerator, instead I'd do something like "U-turn allows Primal Kyogre to pivot out and regain some health with Regenerator" or something. The sentence is also pretty long and confusing imo. Revelation Dance is a decently powerful STAB move that hits Normalize Mega Gengar as it ignores Normalized when Kyogre gets entrained and can chip opposing Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. If Mega Gengar is not a problem, Scald can be run to spread burns, and is useful to wear opponents down and deter Sturdy Shedinja. However, it is more difficult to imposter-proof because of the threat of burns, most likely requiring a Pokemon with an ability like Comatose or Poison Heal, limiting the team options. Spectral Thief lets Primal Kyogre steal stat boosts from the opponent, letting it reliably check threats like Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas while preventing Kyogre from being set-up fodder. Core Enforcer can nullify useful abilities like Poison Heal and Regenerator and hits Dragon types like Giratina and Mega Rayquaza hard. If the team lacks a hazard remover, Rapid Spin can be run. However, this is a poor move on Primal Kyogre as it fails to pressure the common spinblockers like Giratina. Rapid Spin should be run along with Scald to effectively annoy Giratina with Scald burns and Core Enforcer nullifying Poison Heal, Scald also forces out Shedinja, another spinblocker. Nuzzle is an option to be able to slow down fast sweepers and help with non Choice Scarf Imposter speed ties. Mention how it also allows Imposters to potentially paralyze POgre or another teammate as well Ice Beam provides decent coverage with Revelation Dance or Scald and OHKOs Mega Rayquaza which is very helpful considering Mega Rayquaza can usually force Kyogre out.

Set Details
========
A Sassy nature along with 0 speed IVs are run to maximize Primal Kyogre's special bulk while letting it speed tie with opposing base 90s to slow pivot, This might confuse newer players, as 0 spe + sassy allows it to speed tie with other slow pivots with base 90s like Giratina or Dialga letting it bring in frail teammates in safely. As an alternative, 116 Speed EVs and a Sassy Nature lets Kyogre outspeed everything up to and including base 150s after stealing a Shell Smash boost, allowing it to KO the opponent before taking another hit. This is pretty situational, you should mention that POgre will then lose out on being a slow pivot against the aforementioned ones (and probably should be moved to OO) (let QC decide this) An Assault Vest further amplifies Primal Kyogre's special bulk, letting it take on powerful special attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y and Primal Kyogre better. Regenerator allows Primal Kyogre to regain a third of its health every time it switches out, and is the only way for Assault Vest to recover health. Assault Vest can't recover health This differentiates from other healing ways as it doesn't not have to waste momentum recovering. Rephrase it to something like "doesn't have to lose momentum by using a healing move like Shore Up

Usage Tips
========
Switch Primal Kyogre in against special attackers it can handle, such as Mega Gengar, opposing Primal Kyogre, and Xerneas. It is important to scout the moveset of the Pokemon you are planning to switch Kyogre into, as they may carry a strong coverage move, such as Bolt Strike on Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y. Be careful with strong physical attackers, as Kyogre's modest physical bulk isn't enough to take strong hits. Since this set does not carry Safety Goggles, beware of Spore as it cripples Kyogre. and allows your oppo to gain a free switch Since Kyogre needs its Assault Vest to check the special attackers it is supposed to check, avoid Knock Off, as it will reduce Kyogre's special bulk. If Kyogre is low on HP, switch it in safely and switch out to instantly to regain a third of its health. Because Kyogre is reliant on Regenerator as its only form of recovery, avoid slow Core Enforcers, as they remove Regenerator, which causes Kyogre to not regain health upon switching out.

Team Options
========
Steel types such as Registeel and Celesteela are appreciated in taking -ate Pokemon like Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza which can target Primal Kyogre's weak physical defense. They also can take strong physical attackers like Kartana that threaten Primal Kyogre. Imposter users like Chansey is useful for scouting the opponent's movesets, which help determine if Kyogre can switch in against opposing attackers. Hazard removers like Magic Bounce Giratina and Mega Audino are appreciated, as Primal Kyogre hates taking chip damage, even with Regenerator. A Knock Off absorber like Griseous Orb Giratina or Poison Heal users mention that PH users should have already activated Toxic Orb prevent Primal Kyogre from losing its very important Assault Vest, which helps it tank many strong special hits. Dragon types like Giratina and Zygarde-C can tank the Grass and Electric moves targeted at Primal Kyogre and also help with answering Red Orb Groudon. Bulky Psychic types like Mega Slowbro and Cresselia and also Mega Sableye check Mega Mewtwo X, who easily forces Kyogre out. I'd go for physical walls in general, because you don't actually want Pogre to check them It is important to have a Pokemon that can take care of an opposing imposter that transformed into Kyogre. Examples include Red Orb Groudon, Ferrothorn, and Comatose Giratina. A Pokemon that can effectively pressure opposing Imposter is very helpful, as this Kyogre set allows the Imposter to freely regenerate health. Examples are Toxic Spikes, Offensive Poison Heal users like Regigigas and Xerneas, and Mold Breaker attackers such as Mega Gengar. I would actually add a point about special attackers that can be imposterproofed by Pogre, like offensive ph xern or kyurem-white

Shore Up is mandatory to keep Primal Kyogre healthy throughout the match. Spectral Thief lets Primal Kyogre steal stat boosts, allowing it to check set up attackers. It also deals respectable damage against super effective targets like the Mega Mewtwos. U-turn is a pivot move that can allow slow pivots to bring in teammates safely. It is chosen other pivoting moves as it is unblockable, unlike Volt Switch and Parting Shot, and can break sashes, unlike Baton Pass. what does this sentence even mean Core Enforcer and Entrainment can remove abilities such as Poison Heal from the opponent, effectively forcing them out. Core Enforcer also pressures Dragon types such as Giratina while Entrainment has more PP and can hit Fairy types. Nuzzle slows down fast sweepers and helps with speed ties with non choice scarf Imposter, especially against contrary users like Mega Sceptile. Anchor Shot can lure and trap Imposter and PP stall it. Defog is an option to clear hazards, and pairs well with Magic Bounce. Revelation Dance is a decently strong STAB move that can hit Normalize Mega Gengar after being Entrained. It can lose if they have Quiver Dance and used Entrainment on the switch. Scald is an alternative STAB move that spreads burns if Normalize Mega Gengar is not a problem. Other moves such as Beak Blast and Topsy Turvy can be run on moveslot 3 and 2, respectively, depending on the team. Beak Blast helps in deterring contact moves such as the common U-turn. Topsy Turvy can hit Normal Types like regigigas while being more useful against special Contrary attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y.

Set Details
========
A Sassy Nature lets Primal Kyogre take strong special attackers like Mega Rayquaza better as well as making the Primal Kyogre and Xerneas match up easier. A Relaxed Nature slightly patches the lower defense stat and lets Primal Kyogre take physical attacks better, such as reducing chip damage from U-turn and Spectral Thief. Safety Goggles prevent Spore and Weather damage, remove weather damage which is important as some set up attackers carry Spore, which cripple Primal Kyogre. Leftovers grants passive recovery, which is useful for negating chip damage and effectively increasing Kyogre's bulk longevity, not bulk slightly. Ghostium Z lets Kyogre safely defeat Normalize Gengar while doing a lot of damage to Mega Mewtwo Y as well. Unaware lets Primal Kyogre ignore opponent stat boosts, which allows it to beat certain set up sweepers. Magic Bounce is an alternative which prevents sleep from Lovely Kiss and blocks Entrainment, letting Kyogre counter Xerneas and Gengar more effectively without getting put to sleep. so it can run another item instead of safety goggles

Usage Tips
========
Use Primal Kyogre to answer dangerous set up attackers like Mega Gengar and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas. With Unaware, it can also check certain Contrary users like Mega Mewtwo Y. Use Spectral Thief often, as it removes the opponent stat boosts, making them easier to handle for teammates. often? It only has 16 pp Stealing defense boosts can also make Kyogre bulkier to live more hits. It also lets Kyogre take the next Moongeist Beam or Photon Geyser better, since those attacks ignore Unaware. Keep Kyogre's health high with Shore Up, as it needs high health to reliably answer many attackers.

Team Options
========
Bulky Steel types like Registeel and Aegislash can take on -ate Pokemon while being able to answer some threatening physical attackers like Mega Rayquaza and Kartana. mention ff steel-types, esp aegislash because tough claws banded mray brings vcreate and aegislash is also immune to fighting-type moves, which kartana sometimes brings Checks to powerful physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X are appreciated, as Kyogre cannot take them on well. Examples include Fur Coat Darks like Yveltal and Sableye, Bulky Psychics such as Mega Slowbro and Cresselia, and Prankster Giratina. i would just list 2-3 that work best in general Bulky walls such as Zygarde-C that struggle against strong set up attackers, especially special ones, appreciate Kyogre blanket checking set up attackers, while they can help against wallbreakers that can brute force through Kyogre. Hazard removers are necessary, as Kyogre is vulnerable to chip and needs to waste momentum recovering as it needs to have high health to check the appropriate attackers. Magic Bounce users like Mega Audino are options. Despite Unaware, Kyogre can get overwhelmed by certain set up sweepers like Contrary Mega Rayquaza and Mega Sceptile and Belly Drum Kartana. A secondary set up answer such as Prankster Registeel and Giratina can help.

Moves
========
Quiver Dance is a reliable set up move to boost Primal Kyogre's offensive presence and special bulk without lowering its defenses. It also boosts Kyogre's speed, potentially allowing a sweep and outspeeding dangerous offensive threats, such as everything up to Mega Mewtwo Y at +1. Water Spout is a powerful STAB move that is very threatening to anything that doesn't resist it, while the passive Poison Heal recovery helps keep its power high. However, it only has 8 pp and doesn't spread burns. Scald is a reliable alternative STAB move with good pp and decent power along with a chance to burn the opponent, letting Primal Kyogre take physical attacks better. However, it is much weaker compared to Water Spout and is less threatening. Also, Scald Burns can conflict with Sleep. Moonblast is a good coverage move that hits Dragon types while hitting Mega Gyarados. It also hit Mega Mewtwo X hard. It does make Ferrothorn and Red Orb Groudon problems. Ice Beam is another coverage move and hits Dragon and Grass types, and hits Mega Rayquaza and Zygarde-C harder. It can also allow potential hax through fishing for Freezes. This does mean Primal Kyogre will struggle with opposing Primal Kyogre and Mega Gyarados. Lovely Kiss puts foes to sleep, opening up free turns that allows Kyogre to regain health with Poison Heal during the sleep turns mention that it bypasses safety goggles. It also cripples defensive mons to break past them easier and allows Kyogre to defeat Imposter. Poison Heal prevents backfiring from Magic Bounce, allowing Primal Kyogre to safely run Lovely Kiss. Spore also puts foes asleep while being more reliable. It prefers Knock Off support to remove Safety Goggles that block Spore though. Tail Glow gives Kyogre an immediate power boost, letting it defeat defensive answers like Poison Heal Giratina however it doesn't boost speed, therefore Pokemon like mmy or xern still outspeed. Freeze Dry is an alternative coverage move, providing perfect neutral coverage with water, it is quite weak though, and worsens Imposter match up.

Set Details
========
A Modest Nature provides extra power as the extra speed provided by Timid isn't very useful since Kyogre outspeeds everything up to Timid Mega Mewtwo Y at +1 already. The extra power can allow Kyogre to defeat some bulky walls like? and is useful for chip. A Toxic Orb reliably activates Poison Heal. Poison Heal provides Primal Kyogre with an immunity to status and gives a passive recovery of 12.5% of the maximum health each turn, making Kyogre durable and difficult to wear down. The immunity to status lets it absorb sleep moves and defeat Imposter by putting it to sleep. Poison Heal also makes Primal Kyogre a decent Knock Off absorber. after toxic orb has been activated

Usage Tips
========
Pivot Kyogre in safely to activate the Toxic Orb, as failing to activate Poison Heal greatly diminishes Kyogre's ability. Once Poison Heal has been triggered, Kyogre can set up in front of defensive Pokemon that cannot threaten Kyogre. Beware of Spectral Thief, as it can steal Kyogre's boosts which not only reduces Kyogre's power, it also makes the opponent bulkier. Avoid Core Enforcer, Entrainment, and Worry Seed, because they will nullify Poison Heal and result in Kyogre taking massive Poison damage. If Kyogre is low on health, slow pivot it in to gain free Poison Heal health. After a few turns of Poison Heal recovery Kyogre would be healthy to set up again. If needed, Kyogre can defensively check Refridgerate users. Thanks to Poison Heal negating chip damage and status, Kyogre can sponge U-turn and status as well as Knock Off once Toxic Orb has been activated.

Team Options
========
A slow pivot like Registeel or Mega Audino can bring Kyogre in safely to activate Toxic Orb. Attackers that can pressure Water resists like what like Primal Kyogre and Giratina are appreciated, as the aforementioned Pokemon can eat a hit and use Core Enforcer, forcing Kyogre out. Examples include Mega Sceptile and Zekrom. Kyogre can also pressure ground types for Zekrom. A hazard setter is nice, since hazards can chip switch ins and help Kyogre pressure its switch is, especially since they are generally susceptible to hazards, especially spikes. Since Kyogre often attracts Core Enforcer to negate Poison Heal, a Fairy type can come in safely to gain momentum. Examples include Mega Audino, Mega Diancie, and Xerneas.

Moves
========
Boosted by Rain, STAB, and Choice Specs, Water Spout is ridiculously powerful and can OHKO common defensive Pokemon like Registeel and Mega Audino. Steam Eruption is a good secondary STAB move which is useful for spreading burns and when Primal Kyogre is low on health. The potential threat of a burn deters Sturdy Shedinja as well. Ice Beam provides good coverage and hits Pokemon such as Giratina and Mega Rayquaza hard without consuming Water Spout pp. It also does a good chunk to Red Orb Groudon and OHKOs Zygarde-C, which no other move can, especially on Tinted Lens. Tinted Lens doubles power on resisted Pokemon, while all of these mentioned Pokemon are either neutral are weak to Ice Beam Volt Switch lets Primal Kyogre pivot out of checks to deal chip damage and gain momentum. U-turn is an option if the Imposter-Proof isn't Primal Groudon, letting it pivot out while not getting blocked by opposing Primal Groudon. Water Shuriken is a decent priority move that can revenge kill some Pokemon or clean some faster threats. However, the damage output is quite lacking even with rain and Specs, and Primal Kyogre usually appreciates the coverage or pivoting more. Also running Water Shuriken results in 3 Water moves. Earth Power specifically hits Red Orb Groudon, who is immune to the Water moves thanks to Desolate Land, and gurantees an OHKO with some prior chip. It doesn't hit any other relevant targets, though. Moonblast is an alternate move to hit Dragons while letting Red Orb Groudon as the imposter-proof, since it will resist or be immune to all moves. Knock Off can be run to remove Assault Vests from opposing Kyogre and Giratina, Eviolite from Chansey, and even Protective Pads from Shedinja, allowing Kyogre to break past them more easily or making them easier to be dealt with by teammates. mention scald over steam eruption, which has significantly less power but more PP, so pogre cannot be pp stalled easily and Scald can potentially Burn Shedinjas and ph users that havent activated their Toxic orbs

Set Details
========
A Modest Nature provides the maximum power, nailing important benchmarks such as OHKOing Registeel and 2HKOing Giratina. A Timid Nature can be run to outspeed neutral nature base 90s, such as max speed neutral nature Giratina and 2HKO it if it has a +Def nature. Choice Specs boosts Primal Kyogre's special attack to sky high levels. Primordial Sea boosts Kyogre's water type moves by 50%, combined with Specs makes very little Pokemon capable of taking Water Spout, limited to the most bulky Water resists or immunes such as RegenVest Kyogre-Primal and Giratina. If rain is set by a teammate, Tinted Lens can be run to fully remove all switch ins, OHKOing non-AV Giratina. Tinted Lens can also be run outside of Rain support to pressure resists harder, but Kyogre misses out on many key OHKOs on other passive Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. Swift Swim can also be run to outspeed up to Mega Mewtwo Y and providing a form of speed control.

Usage Tips
========
Bring Kyogre in safely through a slow pivot, as it loses a lot of its breaking power if it takes chip damage that reduce Water Spout's base power. In general, Water Spout will be clicked due to its astronomical power, however, if there are obvious switch ins, then click the appropriate coverage move for it. Against Imposter, try to fish for a burn from Steam Eruption or pivot out with Volt Switch to do some chip damage and gain momentum. Do not let Kyogre take any chip damage such as entry hazards if it is trying to wallbreak effectively, as it needs to have max power Water Spout for many crucial benchmarks, Wish passing and Z-Parting Shot can mitigate this somewhat. If needed, Primal Kyogre can be used to remove a dangerous threat such as Mega Mewtwo Y, as Steam Eruption can still OHKO while its good bulk allows it to take a hit and retaliate back. This is not recommended if you still need Kyogre for wallbreaking later. Try to preserve Water Spout's PP, such as clicking Ice Beam against a Giratina, as the pp is very important. Watch out for Prankster Destiny Bond, as this could mean trading away an important breaker that the opponent lacks a switch-in to.

Team Options
========
Knock Off users such as Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados are appreciated to remove Assault Vests from opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina, making it possible for Kyogre to break through, as otherwise it is walled. They can also remove Imposter's only Chansey runs eviolite in this meta Eviolite, which makes it much easier to chip down. Mega Tyranitar in particular can also threaten Giratina, one common answer to Kyogre. Hazard removers are very important to keep Kyogre healthy, good examples include Magic Bounce Giratina and Magearna. Hazard setters are appreciated to ease the match up against bulky switch ins like Primal Kyogre and Giratina while chipping Imposter every time it attempts to switch in. Depending on the set, improofs such as RegenVest Primal Kyogre and Red Orb Groudon are needed, as this Kyogre set cannot damage Imposter too much and will require a teammate that can switch-in after Imposter comes in. A Pokemon that can lure or remove Imposter is valuable by removing an important defensive switch-in. Examples include defensive Pokemon that can trap and PP stall imposter Toxic Spikes are very helpful, as they deter Imposter, one of the best switch ins to this set, to switch in. It also pressures other switch-ins such as Primal Kyogre and Giratina. also mention a imposterproof setup sweeper like imprison unburden Yveltal

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Other defensive abilities such as Comatose and Fur Coat can be run. Comatose can prevent some status moves and provide a counter to Poison Heal Kyogre and Xerneas that unlike Magic Bounce will not get Poisoned from Toxic Spikes and Poison Fang. Fur Coat improves Kyogre's physical bulk and allows it to check some physical attackers better, like Kyurem-Black. However, those sets are generally less viable or better run on another defensive Pokemon.for example... For the Unaware set, Baton Pass can be run over U-turn for the extra PP in slower match ups and ignore Contact move punishing moves and Rocky Helmet. it can also pass stolen stats from spectral thief A Sheer Force set using Steam Eruption, Ice Beam, Bolt Strike, and Shell Smash is a fast sweeper that can surprise many teams due to its immediate increase in power and can OHKO opposing Kyogre and Giratina with a boosted Bolt Strike and Ice Beam, respectively. A defensive Poison Heal set is possible with Scald, Stealth Rock, Spiky Shield, and Ice Beam or Knock Off, providing a hazard setter with longevity while not requiring much team support.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water Types**: Primal Kyogre and Mega Gyarados both resist Water, has great special bulk, and doesn't take much from coverage moves. Kyogre can use Core Enforcer and Spectral Thief to damage back while Gyarados threatens with Knock Off. All Mega Gyarados sets and non RegenVest Kyogre gets 2HKOed by max power Water Spout from the Wallbreaker set, however.

**Other bulky Water resists**: Bulky Pokemon that resist Water, such as Giratina and Ferrothorn can take the Water moves with ease and proceed to retaliate. They can also tank the coverage moves if needed. The Wallbreaker set can 2HKO them with Water Spout, however.

**Red Orb Groudon**: Red Orb Groudon sets Desolate Land, which renders Kyogre's Water STABs useless and takes the coverage moves well. In return, it 2HKOs with V-create or can set up. It fears Earth Power from the Wallbreaker set, however, and loses if the weather has been reset if Kyogre switches in. The rare Fur Coat Kyogre can also tank the hits and defeat Groudon.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X and Regigigas can target Kyogre's weaker physical defense and defeat Kyogre. Mega Mewtwo Y can use Psystrike to do the same. kart deserves a mention

**Grass and Electric types**: Grass and Electric types such as Mega Sceptile and Zekrom can hit Kyogre for super effective damage. Grass types have a bonus of resisting Water.

**Powerful breakers**: Super powerful attackers such as Choice Specs Mega Rayquaza can brute force past Kyogre.

**Ability Nullifying Moves**: Since Primal Kyogre is largely reliant on its ability, moves that can nullify abilities are very annoying, such moves include Core Enforcer, Entrainment, and Worry Seed.

**Imposter**: Imposter Chansey is one of the few switch ins to the Wallbreaker and threaten Kyogre out. It can also recover up in front of defensive sets. However, it loses to the Poison Heal set and cannot switch in safely to the Sheer Force set.

I promised I'd get to this by today. Sorry again it took so long.
I'll just add my comments on top of XxAwesomePlayzxX's
(my comments are in bold & green.)
[OVERVIEW]

Primal Kyogre has a unique mono water typing in BH that allows it to run unique defensive and offensive sets. (fluff / redundant because this information is conveyed better by the following sentence.) Its good special bulk (and mono water resistances etc, but don't say that mono water is 'unique') amplifies its defensive ability while its high 180 base special attack and 150 base attack gives Primal Kyogre a good offensive presence, reducing its passivity and threatening attackers. Mono water only has 2 weaknesses to electric and grass that are both fairly uncommon in BH while providing useful resistances to fire, steel, water, and Ice. (condense into previous sentence) While I'd say Grass is a pretty rare type, Electric-type coverage isn't that rare at all, commonly seen on KB, Sheer Force MMY, and Pdon, which are all pretty big threats in BH. (agree with this, just don't say 'uncommon') These traits allow Kyogre to answer threats such as Poison Heal Primal Kyogre POgre can take most variants of itself on, assuming not much boosts has been accumulated, so perhaps just opposing POgre? (this is fine as 'threats' in this case means specifically offensive threats) and Xerneas, Mega Gengar, and Dialga.

(fair point, implement this) The sentence is also pretty long and confusing imo. (agree; just say "without fear of being blocked") Revelation Dance is a decently powerful STAB move that hits Normalize Mega Gengar as it ignores Normalized when Kyogre gets entrained and can chip opposing Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. (Rapid Spin isn't slashed so it should be mentioned last after every slashed move is explained.) Nuzzle is an option to be able to slow down fast sweepers and help with non Choice Scarf Imposter speed ties. Mention how it also allows Imposters to potentially paralyze POgre or another teammate as well (implement this) Ice Beam provides decent coverage with Revelation Dance or Scald and OHKOs Mega Rayquaza which is very helpful considering Mega Rayquaza can usually force Kyogre out.

Set Details
========
A Sassy nature along with 0 speed IVs are run to maximize Primal Kyogre's special bulk while letting it speed tie with opposing base 90s to slow pivot, This might confuse newer players, as 0 spe + sassy allows it to speed tie with other slow pivots with base 90s like Giratina or Dialga (no - no point in mentioning other base 90s. Just say you minimize speed to go last so it can pivot teammates in safely) letting it bring in frail teammates in safely. As an alternative, 116 Speed EVs and a Sassy Nature lets Kyogre outspeed everything up to and including base 150s after stealing a Shell Smash boost, allowing it to KO the opponent before taking another hit. This is pretty situational, you should mention that POgre will then lose out on being a slow pivot against the aforementioned ones (and probably should be moved to OO) (let QC decide this) (this is fine as is, but qualify that it leaves you undersped by almost every bulky pivot then) An Assault Vest further amplifies Primal Kyogre's special bulk, letting it take on powerful special attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y and Primal Kyogre (MRay is a better example because AVest uniquely lets you check MRay while most POgres can check POgre without Avest) better. Regenerator allows Primal Kyogre to regain a third of its health every time it switches out, and is the only way for Assault Vest to recover health. Assault Vest can't recover health (good point; say 'and is otherwise the only way for the set to recover health') This differentiates from other healing ways as it doesn't not have to waste momentum recovering. Rephrase it to something like "doesn't have to lose momentum by using a healing move like Shore Up (implement this, clean up grammar)

Usage Tips
========
Since this set does not carry Safety Goggles, beware of Spore as it cripples Kyogre. and allows your oppo to gain a free switch (implied; leave as is) Since Kyogre needs its Assault Vest to check the special attackers it is supposed to check, avoid Knock Off, as it will reduce Kyogre's special bulk. If Kyogre is low on HP, switch it in safely and switch out to instantly to regain a third of its health. Because Kyogre is reliant on Regenerator as its only form of recovery, avoid slow Core Enforcers, ('avoid core enforcer from slower pokemon like Registeel and Aegislash') as they remove Regenerator, which causes Kyogre to not regain health upon switching out.
(you don't really explain what to do with POgre once it's in, just how to get it in and how to get it out. Talk about how Scald is fairly spammable as burn spreads are good, Spectral against common setup sweepers or against boosted opponents, nuzzle/scald to catch imposters coming in, uturn once you've done your job and are ready to counterattack)

Team Options
========
Steel types such as Registeel and Celesteela are appreciated in taking -ate Pokemon like Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza which can target Primal Kyogre's weak physical defense. They also can take strong physical attackers like Kartana that threaten Primal Kyogre. Imposter users like Chansey (just say 'Imposter Chansey') is useful for scouting the opponent's movesets, which help determine if Kyogre can switch in against opposing attackers. Hazard removers like Magic Bounce Giratina and Mega Audino are appreciated, as Primal Kyogre hates taking chip damage, even with Regenerator. A Knock Off absorber like Griseous Orb Giratina or Poison Heal users mention that PH users should have already activated Toxic Orb (do this) prevent Primal Kyogre from losing its very important Assault Vest, which helps it tank many strong special hits. (they know) Dragon types like Giratina and Zygarde-C can tank the Grass and Electric moves targeted at Primal Kyogre and also help with answering Red Orb Groudon. Bulky Psychic types like Mega Slowbro and Cresselia and also Mega Sableye check Mega Mewtwo X, who easily forces Kyogre out. I'd go for physical walls in general, because you don't actually want Pogre to check them (yes, 'physical walls like Mega Slowbro...' is better) It is important to have a Pokemon that can take care of an opposing imposter that transformed into Kyogre. (this entire section is a little messy. Say something like 'it is not only necessary to have a imposter switch in like ___, but also support such as ____ to pressure Imposter users as they can take advantage of POgre's ability and heal themselves without actually exerting immediate offensive pressure') I would actually add a point about special attackers that can be imposterproofed by Pogre, like offensive ph xern or kyurem-white (implement this, say something like 'this set's reliability and longevity allows it to be paired with powerful special attackers that are otherwise difficult to improof, like...')
(Add mention of powerful offensive breakers that like to be pivoted in like MMY / MMX / Mega Gengar / MRay, some of which POgre can also improof)

Moves
========
(explain moves in the order they are slashed. So - STAB, recovery, spectral, coverage moves) Shore Up is mandatory to keep Primal Kyogre healthy throughout the match. Spectral Thief lets Primal Kyogre steal stat boosts, allowing it to check set up attackers. It also deals respectable damage against super effective targets like the Mega Mewtwos. U-turn is a pivot move that can allow slow pivots to bring in teammates safely. It is chosen other pivoting moves as it is unblockable, unlike Volt Switch and Parting Shot, and can break sashes, unlike Baton Pass. what does this sentence even mean (it's fine as is, idk where the confusion is from) Core Enforcer and Entrainment can remove abilities such as Poison Heal from the opponent, effectively forcing them out. (Revelation Dance is a decently strong STAB move that can hit Normalize Mega Gengar after being Entrained. It can lose if they have Quiver Dance and used Entrainment on the switch. Scald is an alternative STAB move that spreads burns if Normalize Mega Gengar is not a problem. move these two to the very beginning) Other moves such as Beak Blast and Topsy Turvy can be run on moveslot 3 and 2, respectively, depending on the team. Beak Blast helps in deterring contact moves such as the common U-turn. (this is so incredibly niche that Beak Blast should be moved to OO with qualification - "... On the Unaware set, POgre can also use Beak Blast to ... etc, but loses out on a lot of utility from other moves' or something like that) Topsy Turvy can hit Normal Types like regigigas (sure) while being more useful against special Contrary attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y.

Set Details
========
A Sassy Nature lets Primal Kyogre take strong special attackers like Mega Rayquaza (MMY / Mega Gar is better bc u dont run sassy to beat MRay) better as well as making the Primal Kyogre and Xerneas match up easier. A Relaxed Nature slightly patches the lower defense stat and lets Primal Kyogre take physical attacks better, such as reducing chip damage from U-turn and Spectral Thief. Safety Goggles prevent Spore and Weather damage, remove weather damage (yes) which is important as some set up attackers carry Spore, which cripple Primal Kyogre. Leftovers grants passive recovery, which is useful for negating chip damage and effectively increasing Kyogre's bulk longevity, not bulk (GP but yeah) slightly. Ghostium Z lets Kyogre safely defeat Normalize Gengar while doing a lot of damage to Mega Mewtwo Y as well. (I don't like this. You beat NOrmgar anyway with Revdance, and damage against MMY is not as useful as lefties / spore immunity. I'll talk to SL42 about it. He said that Normgar can QD for days but it still can't do anything to you... i mean Judgment is not even a 3HKO...) Unaware lets Primal Kyogre ignore opponent stat boosts, which allows it to beat certain set up sweepers. Magic Bounce is an alternative which prevents sleep from Lovely Kiss and blocks Entrainment, letting Kyogre counter Xerneas and Gengar more effectively without getting put to sleep. so it can run another item instead of safety goggles (yep)

Usage Tips
========
Use Primal Kyogre to answer dangerous set up attackers like Mega Gengar and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas. With Unaware, it can also check certain Contrary (and shell smash) users like Mega Mewtwo Y. Use Spectral Thief often, as it removes the opponent stat boosts, making them easier to handle for teammates. often? It only has 16 pp (yeah - change to 'against boosted opponents') Stealing defense boosts can also make Kyogre bulkier to live more hits. It also lets Kyogre take the next Moongeist Beam or Photon Geyser better, since those attacks ignore Unaware. Keep Kyogre's health high with Shore Up, as it needs high health to reliably answer many attackers. (this needs more. Mention stuff like keep it healthy if you see prominent setup sweepers, use it as a pivot if you don't, avoid mold breaker, scout for Moongeist / Photon, and u-turn / scald / ability removing moves are all fairly spammable)

Team Options
========
Bulky Steel types like Registeel and Aegislash can take on -ate Pokemon while being able to answer some threatening physical attackers like Mega Rayquaza and Kartana. mention ff steel-types, esp aegislash because tough claws banded mray brings vcreate and aegislash is also immune to fighting-type moves, which kartana sometimes brings (sure, but keep it short) Checks to powerful physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X are appreciated, as Kyogre cannot take them on well. Examples include Fur Coat Darks like Yveltal and Sableye, yveltal doesn't run fur coat (yeah remove Yveltal, say Fur Coat Gira and Zyg instead) Bulky Psychics such as Mega Slowbro and Cresselia, and Prankster Giratina. Bulky walls such as Zygarde-C that struggle against strong set up attackers, especially special ones, appreciate Kyogre blanket checking set up attackers, while they can help against wallbreakers that can brute force through Kyogre. Hazard removers are necessary, as Kyogre is vulnerable to chip and needs to waste momentum recovering as it needs to have high health to check the appropriate attackers. Magic Bounce users like Mega Audino are options. (generally defog / rapid spin is better mention for this purpose than MBounce. Pick any of the aforementioned defensive opponents and be like 'they can also remove hazards, etc') Despite Unaware, Kyogre can get overwhelmed by certain set up sweepers like Contrary Mega Rayquaza and Mega Sceptile and Belly Drum Kartana. A secondary set up answer such as Prankster Registeel and Giratina can help.

Moves
========
Quiver Dance is a reliable set up move to boost Primal Kyogre's offensive presence and special bulk without lowering its defenses. (unnecessary) It also boosts Kyogre's speed, potentially allowing a sweep and outspeeding dangerous offensive threats, such as everything up to Mega Mewtwo Y at +1. (yes) It also cripples defensive mons to break past them easier and allows Kyogre to defeat Imposter. (it's not either quiver dance or tail glow; you can have both so this doesn't matter) Freeze Dry is an alternative coverage move, providing perfect neutral coverage with water, it is quite weak though, and worsens Imposter match up.

Set Details

A Modest Nature provides extra power as the extra speed provided by Timid isn't very useful since Kyogre outspeeds everything up to Timid Mega Mewtwo Y at +1 already. The extra power can allow Kyogre to defeat some bulky walls like? (yeah add some mentions, like how +1 water spout 2HKOs RegenVest Steels on the switch) and is useful for chip. Poison Heal also makes Primal Kyogre a decent Knock Off absorber. after toxic orb has been activated (sure add this)

Usage Tips
========
Pivot Kyogre in safely to activate the Toxic Orb, as failing to activate Poison Heal greatly diminishes Kyogre's ability. (ability to what? or prevents it from taking advantage of its ability) Once Poison Heal has been triggered, Kyogre can set up in front of defensive Pokemon that cannot threaten Kyogre. (but scout for their moves to check for Spectral / Core Enforcer) Beware of Spectral Thief, as it can steal Kyogre's boosts which not only reduces Kyogre's power, it also makes the opponent bulkier. Avoid Core Enforcer, Entrainment, and Worry Seed, because they will nullify Poison Heal and result in Kyogre taking massive Poison damage. (Water Spout can be used initially to help chip things down and scout for what the opponent's PH QD counters are. Also, Tail Glow initially over quiver dance against bulkier teams as it lets you break through faster and makes you less susceptible to spectral thief as they can't steal bulk boosts) If Kyogre is low on health, slow pivot it in to gain free Poison Heal health.

========
A slow pivot like Registeel or Mega Audino can bring Kyogre in safely to activate Toxic Orb. Attackers that can pressure Water resists like what (though you did include examples, mention them here in this sentence to avoid confusion) like Primal Kyogre and Giratina are appreciated, as the aforementioned Pokemon can eat a hit and use Core Enforcer, forcing Kyogre out. Examples include Mega Sceptile and Zekrom (Zek is kind of outdated, replace with SF MMY).

Moves
========
Tinted Lens doubles power on resisted Pokemon, while all of these mentioned Pokemon are either neutral are weak to Ice Beam (it's fine it's pretty clear wha tyou mean) Volt Switch lets Primal Kyogre pivot out of checks to deal chip damage and gain momentum. (sorry, I don't like that Knock Off is slashed. I know sl42 told you to include it but -atk Specs being locked into knock off is very unpalatable. Remove it for now and ill talk to him about it.) mention scald over steam eruption, which has significantly less power but more PP, so pogre cannot be pp stalled easily and Scald can potentially Burn Shedinjas and ph users that havent activated their Toxic orbs (no, because the point of this set is power, not longevity, and spout+steam are enough pp)

Set Details
========
(mention how neutral base 90s are extremely rare - either Dialga or PDon, which both beat you anyway, or theyre not, and they run min spe) Choice Specs boosts Primal Kyogre's special attack to sky high levels.

Usage Tips
========
(Start off by saying that this set is hit-and-run, because Water Spout means Kyogre can't afford to lose too much health) (Scout opposing movesets to determine what Kyogre can safely wallbreak through and what it can't) Bring Kyogre in safely through a slow pivot, as it loses a lot of its breaking power if it takes chip damage that reduce Water Spout's base power. (Don't be afraid to switch out if you're not sure that Kyogre can handle the opposing Pokemon, as Specs + Water Spout can easily be caught by surprise if not careful) If needed, Primal Kyogre can be used to remove a dangerous threat such as Mega Mewtwo Y, as Steam Eruption can still OHKO while its good bulk allows it to take a hit and retaliate back.

========
(this set really needs the help of bulky pivots like regenvest steels or giratina, both to get it in safely to maintain Water Spout power, and to let it switch out easily when it's done its job) Knock Off users such as Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados are appreciated to remove Assault Vests from opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina, making it possible for Kyogre to break through, as otherwise it is walled. They can also remove Imposter's only Chansey runs eviolite in this meta (okay say Imposter Chansey's Eviolite) Eviolite, which makes it much easier to chip down. It also pressures other switch-ins such as Primal Kyogre and Giratina. also mention a imposterproof setup sweeper like imprison unburden Yveltal (I wouldn't say Yveltal, but probably Mega Gengar or Poison Heal set up like Xerneas and Regigigas are good partners because they like walls broken down and they dont mind imposter chansey sticking around)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
(nah no need to mention this here) For the Unaware set, Baton Pass can be run over U-turn for the extra PP in slower match ups and ignore Contact move punishing moves and Rocky Helmet. it can also pass stolen stats from spectral thief (yes but qualify it will also pass stat drops) A Sheer Force set using Steam Eruption, Ice Beam, Bolt Strike, and Shell Smash is a fast sweeper that can surprise many teams due to its immediate increase in power and can OHKO opposing Kyogre and Giratina with a boosted Bolt Strike and Ice Beam, respectively. A defensive Poison Heal set is possible with Scald, Stealth Rock, Spiky Shield, and Ice Beam or Knock Off, providing a hazard setter with longevity while not requiring much team support.

Checks and Counters
===================

(I know SL42 mentioned this but don't mention this; don't talk about a set that isn't written up)

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X and Regigigas can target Kyogre's weaker physical defense and defeat Kyogre. Mega Mewtwo Y can use Psystrike to do the same. kart deserves a mention (Sure)

**Grass and Electric types**: Grass and Electric types such as Mega Sceptile and Zekrom can hit Kyogre for super effective damage. Grass types have a bonus of resisting Water.

**Powerful breakers**: Super powerful attackers such as Choice Specs Mega Rayquaza can brute force past (even defensive) Kyogre.

**Ability Nullifying Moves**: Since Primal Kyogre is largely reliant on its ability, moves that can nullify abilities are very annoying, such moves include Core Enforcer, Entrainment, and Worry Seed. (remove this entire thing as this is not POgre specific)

**Imposter**: Imposter Chansey is one of the few switch ins to the Wallbreaker and threaten Kyogre out. (and can take advantage of regenvest's regen.) It can also recover up in front of defensive sets. However, it loses to the Poison Heal set and cannot switch in safely to the Sheer Force set. (don't mention sheer force)

whew. So unfortunately there are a lot of changes that need to be made, and some double-checking required with other QC. For now, implement everything that I've pointed out, and tag me when you're done so I can look through it one more time for the final stamp.

Thanks!

An Assault Vest further amplifies Primal Kyogre's special bulk, letting it take on powerful special attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y and Primal Kyogre (MRay is a better example because AVest uniquely lets you check MRay while most POgres can check POgre without Avest) better.
I put Gar over Ray because specs ate still breaks, mixed ate has espeed, and triage just spores. AV lets pogre eat mold breaker +2 judg well

item: Safety Goggles / Leftovers / Ghostium Z (Remove this. I'll explain why later.)
I want to keep it as a boosted normgar can break if it entrains on switch, removing unaware. if sl42 says its ok to remove ill do it though.

Topsy Turvy can hit Normal Types like regigigas (sure) while being more useful against special Contrary attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y.
I went with Arceus because Pogre shouldnt be your gigas check.

He said that Normgar can QD for days but it still can't do anything to you... i mean Judgment is not even a 3HKO...)
Same as above.

(sorry, I don't like that Knock Off is slashed. I know sl42 told you to include it but -atk Specs being locked into knock off is very unpalatable. Remove it for now and ill talk to him about it.)
Went with removing the slash but mentioning it as i could see this being useful, esp against stuff like av dialga and kyogre.

Its in oo so i feel like it should be mentioned.

Disagree a bit, all kyogre sets bar Unaware want their ability, regen needs it to stay healthy, ph is obv, primsea is huge power boost. Im a bit on fence here.

It can also recover up in front of defensive sets. However, it loses to the Poison Heal set and cannot switch in safely to the Sheer Force set. (don't mention sheer force)

I spoke with Mr. Patel (Sent You a Friend Request) and we agreed that Ghostium Z should not be slashed, but it can be mentioned in Set Details (just make sure to put it at the end of that section, after everything slashed has been explained).

Right-o

Same as above.
Yeah so basically say that Ghostium Z lets Kyogre safely counter NormGar as it works through Norm, where as QD Normgar can sometimes break through Rev Dance after QD + Entrainment removes Unaware. Also mention that it specifically cleanly OHKOs MMY

Yeah, spoke with him and we agreed that Knock Off shouldn't be slashed, but it can be mentioned at the end of the moves section. Qualify that being locked into KOff is bad momentum wise, and it's usually better to let a teammate Knock Off though

**Red Orb Groudon**: Red Orb Groudon sets Desolate Land, which renders Kyogre's Water STABs useless and takes the coverage moves well. In return, it 2HKOs with V-create or can set up. Confirmed with some people and yeah this is my bad, ignore this - OO sets can be mentioned in C&C

Nah I'm gonna gonna stick to this one - my point is that ability nullifying moves harm everything, so this is not worth specifically mentioning. Just like how destiny bond technically has the ability to threaten every offensive sweeper but you don't need to mention it as a check / counter to every Pokemon.

Same as FC above
Yeah it's fine keep as is, again my b

And, one last skim through because we're all human and it's a long but important analysis...
[OVERVIEW]
Primal Kyogre's excellent 100/160 special bulk along its high 180 base special attack and 150 base attack makes Primal Kyogre a versatile option on many BH teams, capable of fulfilling either non-passive defensive roles (thanks to only 2 weaknesses & all the resistances) or a strong special attacker. Mono water only has 2 weaknesses to electric and grass while providing useful resistances to Fire, Steel, Water, and Ice. These traits allow Kyogre to answer threats such as Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas, Mega Gengar, and Dialga. (and blanket check a large portion of the special meta) It also can run a variety of offensive sets such as Poison Heal and Choice Specs Rain that are difficult to switch into and can be very unpredictable and threatening to teams. (I'd say soften your language in the flaws explanation - POgre is definitely a very good Pokemon so you want to leave the reader with a positive impression. Something like adding "kind of" or slight qualifications like "...resisted by common typings such as Dragon and Water, though its immense SpA makes up for this somewhat")

Moves
========
U-turn allows Primal Kyogre to pivot without being blocked unlike Volt Switch and Parting Shot, which allows it to gain momentum and health through Regenerator. Nuzzle is an option to be able to slow down fast sweepers and help with non Choice Scarf Imposter speed ties. However, Imposter is able to paralyze your Pokemon as well, limiting the possible imposter proofs for Kyogre such as Comatose Giratina. Ice Beam provides decent coverage with Revelation Dance or Scald and OHKOs Mega Rayquaza which is very helpful considering Mega Rayquaza can usually force Kyogre out.

Set Details
========
A Sassy nature along with 0 speed IVs are run to maximize Primal Kyogre's special bulk while letting it speed tie with opposing base 90s to slow pivot, letting it bring in frail teammates in safely. As an alternative, 116 Speed EVs and a Sassy Nature lets Kyogre outspeed everything up to and including base 150s after stealing a Shell Smash boost, allowing it to KO the opponent before taking another hit. This comes at a cost of almost always outspeeding opponent defensive pivots. This differentiates from other healing ways as it doesn't not have to lose momentum by using a recovering move.

Usage Tips
========
Since Kyogre needs its Assault Vest to check the special attackers it is supposed to check, avoid Knock Off, as it will reduce Kyogre's special bulk. If Kyogre is low on HP, switch it in safely and switch out to instantly to regain a third of its health. Because Kyogre is reliant on Regenerator as its only form of recovery, avoid Core Enforcers from slower Pokemon like Registeel and Mega Audino, as they remove Regenerator, which causes Kyogre to not regain health upon switching out. U-turn is excellent for regaining health with momentum, chipping opponent Pokemon, and bringing in teammates safely, and is very spammable, especially if the opponent Pokemon is unable to pressure you. Revelation Dance and Scald are also spammable thanks to STAB, being able to chip opponent walls and in Scald's case, spread burns. If the opponent Pokemon is a set up sweeper, Spectral Thief will steal the stat boosts and neuter their power. While this set is vulnerable to Imposter, using Scald or Nuzzle can burn or paralyze them, reducing their effectiveness.

Team Options
========
Steel types such as Registeel and Celesteela are appreciated in taking -ate Pokemon like Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza which can target Primal Kyogre's weak physical defense. They also can take strong physical attackers like Kartana that threaten Primal Kyogre. Imposter Chansey is useful for scouting the opponent's movesets, which help determine if Kyogre can switch in against opposing attackers. Hazard removers like Magic Bounce Giratina and Mega Audino are appreciated, as Primal Kyogre hates taking chip damage, even with Regenerator. A Knock Off absorber like Griseous Orb Giratina or Poison Heal users after Toxic Orb has been activated prevent Primal Kyogre from losing its very important Assault Vest. Dragon types like Giratina and Zygarde-C can tank the Grass and Electric moves targeted at Primal Kyogre and also help with answering Red Orb Groudon. Physical walls like Mega Slowbro and Prankster Giratina check dangerous physical wallbreakers, who force Kyogre out. It is necessary to have a Pokemon that can take care of an opposing imposter that transformed into Kyogre, as this set is often free recovery for the opponent's Imposter. Examples include Red Orb Groudon, Ferrothorn, and Comatose Giratina. In addition, Toxic Spikes, Offensive Poison Heal users like Regigigas and Xerneas, and Mold Breaker attackers such as Mega Gengar that can pressure the opponent Imposter are appreciated. Kyogre's longevity and bulk allows it to be paried with powerful special attackers that can be improofed by it such as Kyurem-W.

Moves
========
Quiver Dance is a reliable set up move to boost Primal Kyogre's offensive presence and special bulk. It also boosts Kyogre's speed, potentially allowing a sweep and outspeeding dangerous offensive threats, such as everything up to (and including) Mega Mewtwo Y at +1. (better to say "threaten physical attackers more") However, it is much weaker compared to Water Spout and is less threatening. Lovely Kiss puts foes to sleep and bypasses Safety Goggles, opening up free turns that allows Kyogre to regain health with Poison Heal during the sleep turns. Tail Glow gives Kyogre an immediate power boost, letting it defeat defensive answers like Poison Heal Giratina. Freeze Dry is an alternative coverage move, providing perfect neutral coverage with water, it is quite weak though, and worsens Imposter match up.

Set Details
========
A Modest Nature provides extra power as the extra speed provided by Timid isn't very useful since Kyogre outspeeds everything up to (and including) Timid Mega Mewtwo Y at +1 already. The extra power can allow Kyogre to defeat some bulky walls such as Registeel with Water Spout at +1 and is useful for chip. Poison Heal also makes Primal Kyogre a decent Knock Off absorber after Toxic Orb activation.

Usage Tips
========
Pivot Kyogre in safely to activate the Toxic Orb, as failing to activate Poison Heal greatly diminishes Kyogre's ability by removing its passive healing and status immunity. Once Poison Heal has been triggered, Kyogre can set up in front of defensive Pokemon that cannot threaten Kyogre after scouting for Spectral Thief and Ability removal moves. Water Spout can be used unboosted to chip opponents and scout for the opponent's answer. Use Tail Glow against bulky teams to break through faster, it also leaves Kyogre less susceptible to Spectral Thief due to it not giving opponent Special Defense boosts.

========
A slow pivot like Registeel or Mega Audino can bring Kyogre in safely to activate Toxic Orb. Attackers such as Mega Sceptile and Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y that can pressure Water resists like Primal Kyogre and Giratina are appreciated, as the aforementioned Pokemon can eat a hit and use Core Enforcer, forcing Kyogre out.

Moves
========
Core Enforcer and Entrainment can remove abilities such as Poison Heal from the opponent, effectively forcing them out. Topsy Turvy can be run over Spectral Thief hit Normal Types like Arceus while being more useful against special Contrary attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y.

Set Details
========
A Sassy Nature lets Primal Kyogre take strong special attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y better as well as making the Primal Kyogre and Xerneas match up easier. A Relaxed Nature slightly patches the lower defense stat and lets Primal Kyogre take physical attacks better, such as reducing chip damage from U-turn and Spectral Thief. (but sassy is generally better because this is more of a spdef tank set) Safety Goggles prevent Spore, which is important as some set up attackers carry Spore, which cripple Primal Kyogre. Leftovers grants passive recovery, which is useful for negating chip damage and increasing Kyogre's longevity. Ghostium Z lets Kyogre safely defeat Normalize Gengar while doing a lot of damage to Mega Mewtwo Y as well. (implement above changes and make this the last sentence of the paragraph) Unaware lets Primal Kyogre ignore opponent stat boosts, which allows it to beat certain set up sweepers. Magic Bounce is an alternative which prevents sleep from Lovely Kiss and blocks Entrainment, letting Kyogre counter Xerneas and Gengar more effectively without getting put to sleep. This also allows Kyogre to run a different item over Safety Goggles.

Usage Tips
========
Use Primal Kyogre to answer dangerous set up attackers like Mega Gengar and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas. With Unaware, it can also check certain Contrary and Shell Smash users like Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Gengar. However, be careful around Mold Breaker, Moongeist Beam, and Photon Geyser, as they ignore Unaware and can heavily damage Kyogre. (also be careful of entrainment and ability nullifying moves such as from QD Normgar, as they can remove unaware and let opposing Pokemon break down Pogre) Use Spectral Thief against boosted opponents, as it removes the opponent stat boosts, making them easier to handle for teammates. Stealing defense boosts can also make Kyogre bulkier to live more hits. It also lets Kyogre take the next Moongeist Beam or Photon Geyser better, since those attacks ignore Unaware. Revelation Dance and Scald are great and chipping opponents and U-turn is a great option against opponents who fail to pressure Kyogre. Core Enforcer is effective at annoying the opponent, especially against Pokemon who heavily depend on their ability, such as Poison Heal and Regenerator. Keep Kyogre's health high with Shore Up, especially against known set up attackers like Mega Gengar and Contrary Mega Mewtwo Y, as Kyogre can get 2HKOed if not healthy enough.

Team Options
========
Bulky Steel types like Registeel and Aegislash, especially with Flash Fire, can take on -ate Pokemon while being able to answer some threatening physical attackers like Mega Rayquaza and Kartana. Checks to powerful physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X are appreciated, as Kyogre cannot take them on well. Examples such as Mega Slowbro, Zygarde-C, and Prankster Giratina. Defensive mons that can run Defog, Rapid Spin, and Magic Bounce users like Registeel, Yveltal, and Mega Audino, respectively, are options. Despite Unaware, Kyogre can get overwhelmed by certain set up sweepers like Contrary Mega Rayquaza and Mega Sceptile and Belly Drum Kartana. A secondary set up answer such as Prankster Registeel and Giratina can help.

Moves
========
(and physical revenge killers from switching in) Ice Beam provides good coverage and hits Pokemon such as Giratina and Mega Rayquaza hard without consuming Water Spout pp. It also does a good chunk to Red Orb Groudon and OHKOs Zygarde-C, which no other move can, especially on Tinted Lens. Volt Switch lets Primal Kyogre pivot out of checks to deal chip damage and gain momentum.

Set Details
========
A Modest Nature provides the maximum power, nailing important benchmarks such as OHKOing Registeel and 2HKOing Giratina. A Timid Nature can be run to outspeed neutral nature base 90s, such as max speed neutral nature Giratina and 2HKO it if it has a +Def nature, but such Pokemon usually don't run max speed.

Usage Tips
========
(this is implied I think, as it's common battle strategy) Against Imposter, try to fish for a burn from Steam Eruption or pivot out with Volt Switch to do some chip damage and gain momentum. Scouting opponent sets, such as with Imposter, is important to determine if Kyogre is capable of breaking it, an example is RegenVest Dialga and Offensive Dialga, where the former is difficult for Kyogre to break without support whereas the latter is 2HKOed. If the opponent has a faster Pokemon on the field it is ideal to switch out to avoid damage, this is also advised when it is unsure if Kyogre is able to handle the opposing Pokemon. Do not let Kyogre take any chip damage such as entry hazards if it is trying to wallbreak effectively, as it needs to have max power Water Spout for many crucial benchmarks, Wish passing and Z-Parting Shot (you mention these two but you don't mention them in team options) can mitigate this somewhat.

========
Slow, Bulky Pivots are crucial to this set, as this set requires them to bring it in safely to maintain Water Spout's power, they also can sponge the opponent's hits when Kyogre switches out. (and some can even run z-parting shot to heal POgre back to full for max water spout power) Examples include Registeel, Mega Audino, and Mega Slowbro. They also can force common defensive Pokemon answers such as Magic Bounce Registeel and Mega Audino in, both of which Kyogre is capable of OHKOing. Knock Off users such as Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados are appreciated to remove Assault Vests from opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina, making it possible for Kyogre to break through, as otherwise it is walled. They can also remove Imposter Chansey's Eviolite, which makes it much easier to chip down. Mega Tyranitar in particular can also threaten Giratina, one common answer to Kyogre. (add Zyg-c to hazard control, and mention how it can slow pivot and wish pass as well) Depending on the set, improofs such as RegenVest Primal Kyogre and Red Orb Groudon are needed, as this Kyogre set cannot damage Imposter too much and will require a teammate that can switch-in after Imposter comes in. A Pokemon that can lure or remove Imposter is valuable by removing an important defensive switch-in. Examples include defensive Pokemon that can trap and PP stall imposter, Mega Gengar, and Poison Heal Regigigas or Xerneas. Toxic Spikes are very helpful, as they deter Imposter, one of the best switch ins to this set, to switch in. It also pressures other switch-ins such as Primal Kyogre and Giratina.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
However, those sets are generally less viable or better run on another defensive Pokemon. For the Unaware set, Baton Pass can be run over U-turn for the extra PP in slower match ups and ignore Contact move punishing moves and Rocky Helmet, but it cannot break Focus Sashes and also pass stat drops. In addition, Beak Blast is an option to deter contract moves such as U-turn, but Kyogre loses out on a lot of utility other moves bring. (move BP and Beak Blast on Unaware to the beginning of this paragraph - explain listed set OO before every other OO) A Sheer Force set using Steam Eruption, Ice Beam, Bolt Strike, and Shell Smash is a fast sweeper that can surprise many teams due to its immediate increase in power and can OHKO opposing Kyogre and Giratina with a boosted Bolt Strike and Ice Beam, respectively. A defensive Poison Heal set is possible with Scald, Stealth Rock, Spiky Shield, and Ice Beam or Knock Off, providing a hazard setter with longevity while not requiring much team support.

Checks and Counters
===================

(or if Core Enforcer removes Desolate Land) The rare Fur Coat Kyogre can also tank the hits and defeat Groudon.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Kartana, and Regigigas can target Kyogre's weaker physical defense and defeat Kyogre. Mega Mewtwo Y can use Psystrike to do the same. (but they usually cant switch in out of fear of burn, though regi can after ph activates)

**Grass and Electric types**: Grass and Electric types such as Mega Sceptile and Zekrom can hit Kyogre for super effective damage. Grass types have a bonus of resisting Water. (make this last, qualify that these pokemon are very uncommon)

**Powerful breakers**: Super powerful attackers such as Choice Specs Mega Rayquaza can brute force past even Defensive Kyogre.

It can also recover up in front of defensive sets and abuse Regenerator for free. However, it loses to the Poison Heal set and cannot switch in safely to the Sheer Force set. (move this to after Red Orb Groudon but before Physical Attackers, specifically mention that it can annoy regenvest with core enforcer)

Nice work - thanks for sticking through with this long (and important!) analysis. Please implement these final changes, and clean up some of the grammar, because there are a lot of messy mistakes all around and your prose is really choppy and unreadable. Tag me again when you're done doing all of that, as I want to be the first set of GP eyes on this to fix things non-BH GPers wouldn't understand.

[OVERVIEW]

Primal Kyogre's excellent 100/160 special bulk along with its high base 180 base Special Attack and base 150 base Attack makes it a versatile option on many BH teams, capable of fulfilling either non-passive defensive roles thanks to resistances to common types such as Fire, Steel, Water, and Ice while having only two weaknesses to Grass and Electric, or serving as a strong special attacker. These traits allow Kyogre it to answer threats such as Mega Gengar, Dialga, and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas, Mega Gengar, and Dialga, while capable of blanket-(add hyphen bc compound verb)checking a large portion of the special attackers of the metagame. It also can run a variety of offensive sets such as Poison Heal and Choice Specs Rain Primordial Sea that are difficult to switch into and can be very unpredictable and threatening to teams (implied). However, Primal Kyogre's Speed is slow in the meta (implied) for an offensive Pokemon and leaves it prone to faster attackers, although its bulk somewhat makes up for this. Also, Water is a poor offensive typing,(AC) hitting very few Pokemon super effectively while being resisted by common typings types such as Dragon and Water, however though Kyogre's massive Special Attack mitigates this a bit. In addition, despite its good special bulk, its physical bulk is quite lacklustre lackluster (American English) and leaves it weak to powerful physical attackers like Mega Rayquaza and Mega Mewtwo X.

Moves
========
U-turn allows Primal Kyogre to pivot without being blocked,(AC) unlike with Volt Switch and Parting Shot, which allows it to gain momentum and health through Regenerator. Revelation Dance is a decently powerful STAB move that hits Normalize Mega Gengar as it ignores Normalize when Primal Kyogre gets Entrained and can chip opposing Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. Core Enforcer can nullify useful abilities like Poison Heal and Regenerator and hits Dragon-(add hyphen)types like Giratina and Mega Rayquaza hard. Nuzzle is an option to be able to slow down fast sweepers and help with non-(add hyphen)Choice Scarf Imposter Speed ties. However, Imposter is users will be able to paralyze your Pokemon as well, limiting the possible Imposter-(add hyphen)proofs for Primal Kyogre to status-immune Pokemon such as Comatose Giratina. Ice Beam provides decent coverage with Revelation Dance or Scald and OHKOes (don't miss this) Mega Rayquaza which is very helpful considering Mega Rayquaza can usually force Primal Kyogre out. If the team lacks an entry hazard remover, Rapid Spin can be run. However, this is a poor move on Primal Kyogre as it fails to pressure the common spinblockers like Giratina. Rapid Spin should be run along with Scald to effectively annoy Giratina with Scald burns and Core Enforcer nullifying Poison Heal, Scald also forces while also forcing out Shedinja, another spinblocker.

Set Details
========
A Sassy nature along with 0 Speed IVs are run to maximize Primal Kyogre's special bulk while letting it Speed tie with opposing mininum minimum investment speed base 90s Speed Pokemon to slow pivot, letting it bring in frail teammates in safely. As an alternative, 116 Speed EVs and a Sassy nature lets Primal Kyogre outspeed everything up to and including base 150s Speed Pokemon after stealing a Shell Smash boost, allowing it to KO the opponent before taking another hit. This comes at a cost of almost always outspeeding opponent opposing defensive pivots,(AC) however. This differentiates from other healing ways methods as it doesn't not have force Primal Kyogre to lose momentum by using a recovering move.

Usage Tips
========
Switch Primal Kyogre in against special attackers it can handle, such as Mega Gengar, opposing Primal Kyogre, and Xerneas. It is important to scout the moveset of the Pokemon you are planning to switch Primal Kyogre into, as they it may carry a strong coverage move, such as Bolt Strike on Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y. Be careful with strong physical attackers, as Primal Kyogre's modest physical bulk isn't enough to take strong hits. Since this set does not carry Safety Goggles, beware of Spore,(AC) as it cripples Primal Kyogre. Because Primal Kyogre is reliant on Regenerator as its only form of recovery, avoid Core Enforcers from slower Pokemon like Registeel and Mega Audino, as they remove Regenerator, which causes Primal Kyogre to not regain health upon switching out. U-turn is excellent for regaining health with momentum, chipping opponent Pokemon, and bringing in teammates safely, and is very spammable easy to spam, especially if the opponent opposing Pokemon is unable to pressure you. Revelation Dance and Scald are also spammable easy to spam thanks to STAB, being able to chip opponent walls and,(AC) in Scald's case, spread burns. If the opponent opposing Pokemon is a set up sweeper, Spectral Thief will steal the stat boosts and neuter their power. While this set is vulnerable to Imposter, using Scald or Nuzzle can burn or paralyze them, reducing their effectiveness.

Team Options
========
Steel-(add hyphen)types such as Registeel and Celesteela are appreciated in taking on -ate Pokemon like Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza which can target Primal Kyogre's weak physical defense. They also can take on strong physical attackers like Kartana that threaten Primal Kyogre. Imposter Chansey is useful for scouting the opponent's opposing movesets, which helps determine if Primal Kyogre can switch in against opposing attackers. Hazard removers like Magic Bounce Giratina and Mega Audino are appreciated, as Primal Kyogre hates taking chip damage, even with Regenerator. A Knock Off absorber like Griseous Orb Giratina or Poison Heal users after their Toxic Orbs have has been activated prevent Primal Kyogre from losing its very important Assault Vest. Dragon-(add hyphen)types like Giratina and Zygarde-C can tank the Grass and Electric moves targeted at Primal Kyogre and also help with answering Red Orb Groudon. Physical walls like Mega Slowbro and Prankster Giratina check dangerous physical wallbreakers, who which force Primal Kyogre out. It is necessary to have a Pokemon that can take care of an opposing Imposter that transformed into Primal Kyogre, as this set often gives free recovery for the opponent's Imposter. Examples include Red Orb Groudon, Ferrothorn, and Comatose Giratina. In addition, Toxic Spikes, offensive Poison Heal users like Regigigas and Xerneas, and Mold Breaker attackers such as Mega Gengar that can pressure the opponent opposing Imposter are appreciated. Primal Kyogre's longevity and bulk allows it to be paried paired with powerful special attackers that can be improofed by it that it can Imposter-proof, such as Kyurem-W.

Moves
========
Quiver Dance is a reliable set up move to boost Primal Kyogre's offensive presence and special bulk. It also boosts Kyogre's Speed, potentially allowing a sweep and outspeeding dangerous offensive threats, such as everything up to and including Mega Mewtwo Y at +1. Water Spout is a powerful STAB move that is very threatening to anything that doesn't resist it, while the passive Poison Heal recovery helps keep its power high. However, it only has 8 pp PP and doesn't spread burns. Scald is a reliable alternative STAB move with good pp PP and decent power along with a chance to burn the opponent, letting Primal Kyogre threaten physical attackers more. However, it is much weaker compared to Water Spout and is less threatening. Also, Scald burns can conflict with sleep status Primal Kyogre may want to inflict instead. Moonblast is a good coverage move that hits Dragon-(add hyphen)types while hitting Mega Gyarados. It also hit and Mega Mewtwo X hard. It does make Ferrothorn and Red Orb Groudon problems,(AC) however. Ice Beam is another coverage move and hits Dragon-(add hyphen) and Grass-(add hyphen)types, and hits Mega Rayquaza and Zygarde-C harder. It can also allow potential hax through fishing for freezes,(AC) but it . This does mean Primal Kyogre will struggle with opposing Primal Kyogre and Mega Gyarados. Lovely Kiss puts foes to sleep and bypasses Safety Goggles, opening up free turns that allows Primal Kyogre to regain health with Poison Heal during the sleep turns. It also cripples defensive mons Pokemon to break past them easier and allows Primal Kyogre to defeat Imposter. Poison Heal also prevents backfiring from Magic Bounce, allowing Primal Kyogre to safely run Lovely Kiss without fear it will be put to sleep if the move is bounced back. Spore also puts foes asleep while being more reliable,(AC) though it . It prefers Knock Off support to remove Safety Goggles that block Spore though it. Tail Glow gives Primal Kyogre an immediate power boost, letting it defeat defensive answers like Poison Heal Giratina. Freeze Dry is an alternative coverage move, providing perfect neutral coverage with Water, but it is quite weak though, and worsens the Imposter match(no space)up.

Set Details
========
A Modest nature provides extra power as the extra Speed provided by Timid isn't very useful since Primal Kyogre outspeeds everything up to and including Timid Mega Mewtwo Y at +1 already. The extra power can allow Kyogre to defeat some bulky walls such as RegenVest Registeel with Water Spout at +1 and is useful for chipping down defensive answers when unboosted. A Toxic Orb reliably activates Poison Heal, which provides Primal Kyogre with an immunity to status and gives a passive recovery of 12.5% of the maximum health each turn, making Kyogre durable and difficult to wear down. The immunity to other status also lets it absorb sleep moves and defeat Imposter by putting it to sleep. Poison Heal also makes Primal Kyogre a decent Knock Off absorber after Toxic Orb activation.

Usage Tips
========
Pivot Primal Kyogre in safely to activate the Toxic Orb, as failing to activate Poison Heal greatly diminishes Primal Kyogre's ability by removing its passive healing and status immunity. Once Poison Heal has been triggered, Primal Kyogre can set up in front of defensive Pokemon that cannot threaten Kyogre it (for example, after scouting to make sure they do not have for Spectral Thief and ability-(add hyphen)removal moves). Beware of Spectral Thief, as it can steal Primal Kyogre's boosts which not only reduces Primal Kyogre's power, it but also makes the opponent bulkier. Avoid Core Enforcer, Entrainment, and Worry Seed, because they will nullify Poison Heal and result in Primal Kyogre taking massive poison damage. Unboosted Water Spout can be used to chip opponents and scout for the opponent's answer. Use Tail Glow against bulky teams to break through faster, as it also leaves Primal Kyogre less susceptible to Spectral Thief due to it not giving opponent as it will not give the opponent Special Defense boosts. If Primal Kyogre is low on health, slow pivot it in to gain free Poison Heal health. After a few turns of Poison Heal recovery,(AC) Primal Kyogre would will often be healthy enough to set up again. If needed, Primal Kyogre can defensively check Refridgerate Refrigerate users. Thanks to Poison Heal negating chip damage and status, Primal Kyogre can sponge U-turn and status as well as Knock Off once Toxic Orb has been activated.

Team Options
========
A slow pivot like Registeel or Mega Audino can bring Primal Kyogre in safely to activate Toxic Orb. Attackers such as Mega Sceptile and Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y that can pressure Water-(add hyphen)resists like Primal Kyogre and Giratina are appreciated, as the aforementioned Pokemon can eat a hit and use Core Enforcer, forcing Primal Kyogre out. An entry hazard setter is nice, since as entry hazards can chip switch-(add hyphen)ins and help Primal Kyogre pressure its switch ins them, since as they are generally susceptible to entry hazards, especially Spikes. Since Primal Kyogre often attracts Core Enforcer to negate Poison Heal, a Fairy-(add hyphen)type can come in safely to gain momentum. Examples include Mega Audino, Mega Diancie, and Xerneas.

Moves

Revelation Dance is a decently strong STAB move that can hit Normalize Mega Gengar even after being Primal Kyogre is Entrained,(AC) though Primal Kyogre must be careful as .(no period) it can still lose if they have to Quiver Dance variants if they have and used Entrainment on the switch. Scald is an alternative STAB move that spreads burns if Normalize Mega Gengar is not a problem. Shore Up is mandatory to keep Primal Kyogre healthy throughout the match. Spectral Thief lets Primal Kyogre steal stat boosts, allowing it to check set up attackers. It also deals respectable damage against super effective targets like the Mega Mewtwos X and Mega Mewtwo Y. U-turn is a pivot move that can allow slow pivots to bring in teammates safely. It is chosen over other pivoting moves as it is unblockable, unlike Volt Switch and Parting Shot, and can break sashes Focus Sash, unlike Baton Pass. Core Enforcer and Entrainment can remove abilities such as Poison Heal from the opponent, effectively forcing them out. Note that Core Enforcer also pressures Dragon-(add hyphen)types such as Giratina,(AC) while Entrainment has more PP and can hit Fairy-(add hyphen)types. Nuzzle slows down fast sweepers and helps with Speed ties with non-(add hyphen)Choice Scarf Imposter, especially against Contrary users like Mega Sceptile. Anchor Shot can lure and trap Imposter users lured in by Primal Kyogre and PP stall it them. Defog is an option to clear entry hazards, and pairs well with Magic Bounce. Topsy Turvy can be run over Spectral Thief hit Normal-(add hyphen)types like Arceus while being more useful against special Contrary attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y.

Set Details
========
A Sassy nature lets Primal Kyogre take on strong special attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y better as well as making the Primal Kyogre and Xerneas match(no space)up easier. A Relaxed nature,(AC) on the other hand, slightly patches the lower Defense stat and lets Primal Kyogre take physical attacks better, such as by reducing chip damage from U-turn and Spectral Thief. A Sassy nature is usually the better choice,(AC) however, as Primal Kyogre is more suited as a specially defensive Pokemon. Safety Goggles prevent Spore, which is important as some set up attackers carry Spore, which cripples Primal Kyogre and temporarily shuts it down. Leftovers grants passive recovery, which is useful for negating chip damage and increasing Primal Kyogre's longevity. Unaware lets Primal Kyogre ignore opponent opposing stat boosts, which allows it to beat certain set up sweepers. Magic Bounce is an alternative which prevents sleep from Lovely Kiss and blocks Entrainment, letting Primal Kyogre counter Xerneas and Mega Gengar more effectively without getting put to sleep. This also allows Primal Kyogre to run a different item over Safety Goggles. Ghostium Z lets Kyogre safely defeat Normalize Gengar while OHKOing Mega Mewtwo Y as well.

Usage Tips
========
Use Primal Kyogre to answer dangerous set up attackers like Mega Gengar and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas. With Unaware, it can also check certain Contrary and Shell Smash users like Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Gengar. However, be careful around Mold Breaker, Moongeist Beam, and Photon Geyser, as they ignore Unaware and can heavily damage Primal Kyogre. Also watch out for ability-(add hyphen)nullifying moves like Core Enforcer and Entrainment, since they also remove Unaware(RC) and makes Primal Kyogre much more susceptible to set up. Use Spectral Thief against boosted opponents, as it removes the opponent opposing stat boosts, making them easier to handle for teammates. Stealing defense defensive boosts can also make Primal Kyogre bulkier to live more hits. It also lets Primal Kyogre take the next Moongeist Beam or Photon Geyser better, since as those attacks ignore Unaware but not stat boosts. Revelation Dance and Scald are great and for chipping opponents and U-turn is a great option against opponents who that fail to pressure Primal Kyogre. Core Enforcer is effective at annoying the opponent, especially against Pokemon who that heavily depend on their ability, such as Poison Heal and Regenerator. Keep Primal Kyogre's health high with Shore Up, especially against known set up attackers like Mega Gengar and Contrary Mega Mewtwo Y, as Primal Kyogre can get 2HKOed if not healthy enough.

Bulky Steel-(add hyphen)types like Registeel and Aegislash, especially with Flash Fire, can take on -ate Pokemon while being able to answer some threatening physical attackers like Mega Rayquaza and Kartana. Checks to powerful physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X are appreciated, as Primal Kyogre cannot take them on well. Examples such as include Mega Slowbro, Zygarde-C, and Prankster Giratina. Bulky walls such as Zygarde-C that struggle against strong set up attackers, especially specially-attacking ones, appreciate Primal Kyogre blanket-(add hyphen)checking set up attackers, while they can help against wallbreakers that can use brute force to break through Primal Kyogre. Hazard removers are necessary, as Primal Kyogre is vulnerable to chip damage, which forces it and needs to waste momentum recovering as it needs to have high health to check the appropriate attackers. Defensive mons Pokemon that can run Defog, Rapid Spin, and Magic Bounce users like Registeel, Yveltal, and Mega Audino, respectively, are also good options. Despite Unaware, Primal Kyogre can get overwhelmed by certain set up sweepers like Contrary Mega Rayquaza and Mega Sceptile and Belly Drum Kartana. Thus, a secondary set(no space)up answer such as Prankster Registeel and Giratina can help.

Moves
========
Boosted by Primordial Sea, STAB, and Choice Specs, Water Spout is ridiculously powerful and can OHKO common defensive Pokemon like Registeel and Mega Audino. Steam Eruption is a good secondary STAB move which is useful for spreading burns and when Primal Kyogre is low on health. The potential threat of a burn deters Sturdy Shedinja as well as physical revenge killers like mixed -ate Mega Rayquaza and Mega Diancie. Ice Beam provides good coverage and hits Pokemon such as Giratina and Mega Rayquaza hard without consuming Water Spout PP. It also does a good chunk to Red Orb Groudon and OHKOes (don't miss this) Zygarde-C, which no other move can, especially on Tinted Lens. Volt Switch lets Primal Kyogre pivot out of checks to deal chip damage and gain momentum. U-turn is an option if the Imposter-proof isn't Primal Groudon, letting it Primal Kyogre pivot out while not getting blocked by opposing Primal Groudon. Water Shuriken is a decent priority move that can revenge kill some Pokemon or clean some faster threats. However, the damage output is quite lacking even with rain Primordial Sea and Choice Specs, and Primal Kyogre usually appreciates the coverage or pivoting more. Also,(AC) running Water Shuriken results in 3 three Water moves and a lot of type redundancy. Earth Power specifically hits Red Orb Groudon, who which is immune to the Water moves thanks to Desolate Land, and gurantees guarantees an OHKO with some prior chip damage, but . It doesn't hit any other relevant targets, though. Moonblast is an alternate alternative move to hit Dragon-types while letting a teammate Red Orb Groudon as the Imposter-proof, since it will resist or be immune to all Primal Kyogre's moves. Knock Off can be run to remove Assault Vests from opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina, Eviolite from Chansey, and even Protective Pads from Shedinja, allowing Primal Kyogre to break past them more easily or making them easier to be dealt with by teammates. However, it is usually better on a teammate instead, as a Choice-(add hyphen)locked unboosted Knock Off can be taken advantage of easily.

Set Details
========
A Modest nature provides Primal Kyogre with the maximum power, nailing letting it hit important benchmarks such as OHKOing Registeel and 2HKOing Giratina. A Timid nature can be run to outspeed neutral-(add hyphen)natured base 90s Speed Pokemon,(RC) such as max speed neutral nature Giratina and 2HKO it if it has a +Def nature, but such Pokemon usually don't run max Speed. Choice Specs boosts Primal Kyogre's Special Attack to sky-(add hyphen)high levels. Primordial Sea boosts Primal Kyogre's Water-(add hyphen)type moves by 50%, and combined with Choice Specs makes it so very little few Pokemon capable of taking Water Spout, limited to the most bulky Water-(add hyphen)resists or immunes such as RegenVest Kyogre-Primal Kyogre and Giratina. If rain is set by a teammate, Tinted Lens can be run to fully remove all switch-(add hyphen)ins, OHKOing non-Assault Vest Giratina. Tinted Lens can also be run outside of rain support to pressure resists harder, but Primal Kyogre misses out on many key OHKOs on other passive Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. Swift Swim can also be run to outspeed up to and including Mega Mewtwo Y and provides a form of Speed control.

Usage Tips
========
Bring Primal Kyogre in safely through a slow pivot, as it loses a lot of its wallbreaking power if it takes chip damage that reduces Water Spout's base power. In general, Water Spout will be clicked chosen as the attack due to its astronomical power. Against Imposter, try to fish for a burn from Steam Eruption or pivot out with Volt Switch to do some chip damage and gain momentum. Scouting opponent sets, such as with Imposter, is important to determine if Primal Kyogre is capable of breaking it through walls, as, for example, RegenVest Dialga an example is RegenVest Dialga and Offensive Dialga, where the former is difficult for Primal Kyogre to break through without support,(AC) whereas offensive Dialga the latter is 2HKOed. If the opponent has a faster opposing Pokemon on the field is faster or Primal Kyogre is unable to handle it,(AC) it is ideal to switch out to avoid damage, this is also advised when it is unsure if Kyogre is able to handle the opposing Pokemon. Do not let Primal Kyogre take any chip damage such as from entry hazards if it is trying to wallbreak effectively, as it needs to have max power Water Spout for many crucial benchmarks, so Wish-(add hyphen)passing and Z-Parting Shot can mitigate this somewhat. If needed, Primal Kyogre can be used to remove a dangerous threat such as Mega Mewtwo Y, as Steam Eruption can still OHKO while its good bulk allows it to take a hit and retaliate back. This is not recommended if you still need Primal Kyogre for wallbreaking later,(AC) however. Try to preserve Water Spout's PP, such as by clicking Ice Beam against a Giratina, as the PP is very important. Watch out for Prankster Destiny Bond, as this could mean trading away an important wallbreaker that the opponent lacks a switch-in to.

Team Options
========
Slow, bulky pivots are crucial to this set, as this set requires them to bring it in safely to maintain Water Spout's power, and they also can sponge the opponent's hits when Primal Kyogre switches out. Examples include Registeel, Mega Audino, and Mega Slowbro. They also can force common defensive Pokemon answers such as Magic Bounce Registeel and Mega Audino in, both of which Primal Kyogre is capable of OHKOing. Knock Off users such as Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados are appreciated to remove Assault Vests from opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina, making it possible for Primal Kyogre to break through, as otherwise it is walled. They can also remove Imposter Chansey's Eviolite, which makes it much easier to chip down. Mega Tyranitar in particular can also threaten Giratina, one common answer to Kyogre. Hazard removers are very important to keep Primal Kyogre healthy, and good examples include Magic Bounce Giratina and Magearna. Hazard setters are appreciated to ease the match(no space)up against bulky switch-(add hyphen)ins like Primal Kyogre and Giratina while chipping Imposter users every time it attempts they attempt to switch in. Wish-(add hyphen)passers like Zygarde-C and Z-Parting Shot users such as Soundproof Mega Slowbro can give Primal Kyogre a second chance at wallbreaking by restoring chipped health. Zygarde-C can also remove hazards while Mega Slowbro is a very slow pivot. Depending on the set, improofs Imposter-proofs to Primal Kyogre such as RegenVest Primal Kyogre and Red Orb Groudon are needed, as this Primal Kyogre set cannot damage Imposter too much and will require a teammate that can switch-(no hyphen) in after Imposter comes in. A Pokemon that can lure or remove Imposter is valuable by removing an important defensive switch-in. Examples include defensive Pokemon that can trap and PP-(add hyphen)stall Imposter users, Mega Gengar, and Poison Heal Regigigas or Xerneas. Toxic Spikes are very helpful, as they deter Imposter, one of the best switch ins to this set, to switch in. It and (stated alreadY) also pressures other switch-ins such as Primal Kyogre and Giratina.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
For the Unaware set, Baton Pass can be run over U-turn for the extra PP in slower match(no space)ups and ignore contact move-(add hyphen)punishing moves and Rocky Helmet, but it cannot break Focus Sashes and also passes stat drops. In addition, Beak Blast is an option to deter contract (don't miss this) moves such as U-turn, but Primal Kyogre loses out on a lot of the utility other moves bring. Other defensive abilities such as Comatose and Fur Coat can also be run. Comatose can prevent some status moves and provides a counter to Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas that,(AC) unlike with Magic Bounce users, will not get poisoned from Toxic Spikes and Poison Fang. Fur Coat improves Primal Kyogre's physical bulk and allows it to check some physical attackers better, like Kyurem-Black. However, those sets are generally less viable or better run on another defensive Pokemon. A Sheer Force set using Steam Eruption, Ice Beam, Bolt Strike, and Shell Smash is a fast sweeper that can surprise many teams due to its immediate increase in power and can OHKO opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina with a boosted Bolt Strike and Ice Beam, respectively. A defensive Poison Heal set is possible with Scald, Stealth Rock, Spiky Shield, and Ice Beam or Knock Off, providing a hazard setter with longevity while not requiring much team support.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Primal Kyogre and Mega Gyarados both resist Water, have great special bulk, and doesn't take much from coverage moves. Opposing Primal Kyogre can use Core Enforcer and Spectral Thief to deal damage back while Mega Gyarados threatens with Knock Off. All Mega Gyarados sets and non-(add hyphen)RegenVest Kyogre gets 2HKOed by max power Water Spout from the wallbreaker set, however.

**Other Bulky Water Resists**: Bulky Pokemon that resist Water, such as Giratina and Ferrothorn,(AC) can take the Water moves with ease and proceed to retaliate. They can also tank the coverage moves if needed. The wallbreaker set can 2HKO them with Water Spout, however.

**Red Orb Groudon**: Red Orb Groudon sets Desolate Land, which renders Primal Kyogre's Water STAB moves useless and takes the coverage moves well. In return, it 2HKOes (don't miss this) with V-create or can set up. It fears Earth Power from the wallbreaker set, however, and loses if the weather has been reset if Primal Kyogre switches in or have its ability has been nullified by Core Enforcer or other ability-(add hyphen)removing moves. The rare Fur Coat Primal Kyogre can also tank the hits and defeat Primal Groudon.

**Imposter**: Imposter Chansey is one of the few switch-(add hyphen)ins to the wallbreaker set and threatens Primal Kyogre out. It can also recover up in front of defensive sets and abuse Regenerator for free. It can also annoy the RegenVest set with Core Enforcer, removing the only source of recovering health. However, it loses to the Poison Heal set and cannot switch in safely to the Sheer Force set.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Kartana, and Regigigas can target Primal Kyogre's weaker physical defense and defeat Kyogre it.

**Grass-(add hyphen) and Electric-(add hyphen)types**: Grass-(add hyphen) and Electric-(add hyphen)types such as Mega Sceptile and Zekrom can hit Primal Kyogre for super effective damage. Grass-(add hyphen)types have a bonus of resisting Water. These Pokemon are rare in the metagame, though.

[OVERVIEW]

Primal Kyogre's excellent 100 / 160 (spacing) special bulk along with its high base 180 Special Attack and base 150 Attack makes it a versatile option on many BH Balanced Hackmons teams, capable of fulfilling non-passive defensive roles thanks to resistances to common types such as Fire, Steel, Water, and Ice while having only two weaknesses to Grass and Electric (RC) or serving as a strong special attacker. These traits allow it to answer threats such as Mega Gengar, Dialga, and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas (RC) while capable of blanket checking (RH) a large portion of the special attackers of the metagame. It also can run a variety of offensive sets such as Poison Heal and Choice Specs Primordial Sea that are difficult to switch into and can be very unpredictable and threatening. However, Primal Kyogre's Speed is low for an offensive Pokemon and leaves it prone vulnerable to faster attackers, although its bulk somewhat makes up for this.

Moves
========
U-turn allows Primal Kyogre to pivot without being blocked, unlike with Volt Switch and Parting Shot, which allows it to gain momentum and health through Regenerator, and unlike Volt Switch and Parting Shot, it cannot be blocked. (though idk if this is necessary to mention at all) Revelation Dance is a decently powerful STAB move that hits Normalize Mega Gengar, (AC) as it ignores Normalize when Primal Kyogre gets Entrained hit with Entrainment, and can chip opposing Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. If Mega Gengar is not a problem, Scald can be run to spread burns, and it is also useful to wear opponents opposing Pokemon down and deter Sturdy Shedinja. However, it is Primal Kyogre becomes more difficult to Imposter-proof because of the threat of burns, most likely requiring a Pokemon with an ability like Comatose or Poison Heal, limiting the team options. Spectral Thief lets Primal Kyogre steal stat boosts from the opponent opposing Pokemon, letting it reliably check threats like Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas while preventing Kyogre from being set-up setup fodder. Ice Beam provides decent coverage with Revelation Dance or Scald and OHKOes Mega Rayquaza, (AC) which is very helpful considering Mega Rayquaza can usually force Primal Kyogre out. If the team lacks an entry hazard remover, Rapid Spin can be run. However, this is a poor move on Primal Kyogre, (AC) as it fails to pressure common spinblockers like Giratina. Rapid Spin should be run along with Scald to effectively annoy Giratina with Scald burns and Core Enforcer nullifying Poison Heal, while also forcing out Shedinja, another spinblocker.

Set Details

A Sassy nature along with 0 Speed IVs are is run to maximize Primal Kyogre's special bulk while letting it Speed tie with opposing mininum investment base 90 Speed Pokemon to slow pivot, letting it bring in frail teammates in safely. As an alternative, 116 Speed EVs and a Sassy nature let Primal Kyogre outspeed everything up to and including base 150 Speed Pokemon after stealing a Shell Smash boost, allowing it to KO the opponent opposing Pokemon before taking another hit. This differentiates from other healing methods, (AC) as it doesn't force Primal Kyogre to lose momentum by using a recovering move.

Usage Tips
========
Because Primal Kyogre is reliant on Regenerator as its only form of recovery, avoid Core Enforcers from slower Pokemon like Registeel and Mega Audino, as they remove Regenerator, which causes Primal Kyogre to not regain health upon switching out. U-turn is excellent for regaining health with momentum, chipping opponent opposing Pokemon (RC) and bringing in teammates safely, and is very easy to spam, especially if the opposing Pokemon is unable to pressure you Primal Kyogre. Revelation Dance and Scald are also easy to spam thanks to STAB, being able to chip opponent opposing walls and, in Scald's case, spread burns. If the opposing Pokemon is a set up setup sweeper, Spectral Thief will steal the stat boosts and neuter their power. While this set is vulnerable to Imposter users, using Scald or Nuzzle can burn or paralyze them, reducing their effectiveness.

Team Options
========
Steel-types such as Registeel and Celesteela are appreciated in taking on -ate Pokemon like Mega Diancie and Mega Rayquaza, (AC) which can target Primal Kyogre's weak poor physical defense bulk. A Knock Off absorber like Griseous Orb Giratina or a Poison Heal users after their with its Toxic Orbs have been already activated prevent prevents Primal Kyogre from losing its very important Assault Vest. Dragon-types like Giratina and Zygarde-C can tank the Grass- (AH) and Electric-type moves targeted at Primal Kyogre and also help with answering Red Orb Groudon.

Moves
========
Quiver Dance is a reliable set up setup move to boost Primal Kyogre's offensive presence and special bulk. It also boosts Kyogre's Speed, potentially allowing a sweep and outspeeding letting it outspeed dangerous offensive threats (RC) such as everything up to and including Mega Mewtwo Y at +1. Water Spout is a powerful STAB move that is very threatening to anything that doesn't resist it, while the passive Poison Heal recovery helps keep its power high. However, it only has 8 PP and doesn't spread burns. (repeated in next sentence) Scald is a reliable alternative STAB move with good PP and decent power along with a chance to burn the opponent opposing Pokemon, letting Primal Kyogre threaten physical attackers more. However, it is much weaker compared to Water Spout and is less threatening. Also, Scald burns can conflict with sleep status Primal Kyogre may want to inflict instead. Moonblast is a good coverage move that hits Dragon-types while hitting as well as Mega Gyarados and Mega Mewtwo X hard. It does make Ferrothorn and Red Orb Groudon problems, however. Ice Beam is another an alternative coverage move and that hits Dragon- and Grass-types (RC) and hits Mega Rayquaza and Zygarde-C harder than Moonblast. It can also allow provide potential hax through fishing for freezes, but it does mean Primal Kyogre will struggle with opposing Primal Kyogre and Mega Gyarados. Spore also puts is a more reliable way to put foes asleep while being more reliable, though it Primal Kyogre prefers Knock Off support to remove Safety Goggles that block it. Tail Glow gives Primal Kyogre an immediate power boost, letting it defeat defensive answers like Poison Heal Giratina. Freeze-Dry (AH) is an alternative coverage move (RC) providing that provides perfect neutral coverage with Water, but it is quite weak (RC) and worsens the Imposter matchup.

Set Details
========
A Modest nature provides extra power; (SC) as the extra Speed provided by Timid isn't very useful, (AC) since Primal Kyogre outspeeds everything up to and including Timid Mega Mewtwo Y at +1 already. The immunity to other status also lets it absorb sleep moves and defeat Imposter users by putting it them to sleep. Poison Heal also makes Primal Kyogre a decent Knock Off absorber after Toxic Orb activation.

Usage Tips
========
Pivot Primal Kyogre in safely to activate the Toxic Orb, as failing to activate Poison Heal greatly diminishes Primal Kyogre's ability by removing its passive healing and status immunity. Once Poison Heal has been triggered, Primal Kyogre can set up in front of defensive Pokemon that cannot threaten it (for example, after scouting to make sure they do not have Spectral Thief and ability-removal moves). (repeat) Beware of Spectral Thief, as it can steal Primal Kyogre's boosts, (AC) which not only reduces Primal Kyogre's power (RC) but also makes the opponent bulkier. Avoid Core Enforcer, Entrainment, and Worry Seed, because they will nullify Poison Heal and result in Primal Kyogre taking massive poison damage. Unboosted Water Spout can be used to chip opponents opposing Pokemon and scout for the opponent's Primal Kyogre answer. Use Tail Glow against bulky teams to break through them faster, as it which also leaves Primal Kyogre less susceptible to Spectral Thief, (AC) as it will not give the opponent Special Defense boosts. If Primal Kyogre is low on health, slow pivot bring it in via a slow pivot to gain free Poison Heal health.

========
A slow pivot like Registeel or Mega Audino can bring Primal Kyogre in safely to activate Toxic Orb. Attackers such as Mega Sceptile and Sheer Force Mega Mewtwo Y that can pressure Water-resists Water-type switch-ins (or answer / check / counter / any word other than resist) like Primal Kyogre and Giratina are appreciated, as the aforementioned Pokemon can eat a hit and use Core Enforcer, forcing Primal Kyogre out. An entry hazard setter is nice (RC) as entry hazards can to chip switch-ins and help Primal Kyogre pressure them, as they are generally susceptible to entry hazards, especially Spikes. Since Primal Kyogre often attracts Core Enforcer to negate Poison Heal, a Fairy-type can come in safely to gain momentum. Examples include Mega Audino, Mega Diancie, and Xerneas.

Moves
========
Revelation Dance is a decently strong STAB move that can hit Normalize Mega Gengar even after Primal Kyogre is Entrained has been hit with Entrainment, though Primal Kyogre must be careful, (AC) as it can still lose to Quiver Dance variants if they have used Entrainment on the switch. Scald is an alternative STAB move that spreads burns if Normalize Mega Gengar is not a problem. Shore Up is mandatory to keep Primal Kyogre healthy throughout the match. Spectral Thief lets Primal Kyogre steal stat boosts, allowing it to check set up setup attackers. It also deals respectable damage against super effective targets like Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y. U-turn is a pivot move that can allow slow pivots to bring in teammates safely. It is chosen over other pivoting moves as because it is unblockable, unlike Volt Switch and Parting Shot, and can break Focus Sash, unlike Baton Pass. Core Enforcer and Entrainment can remove abilities such as Poison Heal from the opponentopposing Pokemon, effectively forcing them out. Note that Core Enforcer also pressures Dragon-types such as Giratina, while Entrainment has more PP and can hit Fairy-types. (hyphen) Nuzzle slows down fast sweepers and helps with Speed ties with non-Choice Scarf Imposter users, especially against Contrary users like Mega Sceptile. Anchor Shot can trap Imposter users lured in by Primal Kyogre and PP stall them. Defog is an option to clear entry hazards (RC) and pairs well with Magic Bounce. Topsy-Turvy (AH) can be run over Spectral Thief hit Normal-types like Arceus while being more useful against special Contrary attackers such as Mega Mewtwo Y.

Set Details
========
A Sassy nature lets Primal Kyogre take strong special attackers like Mega Mewtwo Y better as well as making and makes the Primal Kyogre and Xerneas matchup easier. A Relaxed nature, on the other hand, slightly patches the Primal Kyogre's lower Defense stat and lets Primal Kyogre take physical attacks better, such as by reducing (redundant)reduces chip damage from U-turn and Spectral Thief. A Sassy nature is usually the better choice, however, as Primal Kyogre is more suited as a specially defensive Pokemon. Safety Goggles prevent prevents Spore, which is important as some set up setup attackers carry Spore, which cripples Primal Kyogre and temporarily shuts it down. Leftovers grants passive recovery, which is useful for negating chip damage and increasing Primal Kyogre's longevity. Unaware lets Primal Kyogre ignore opposing stat boosts, which allows it to beat certain set up setup sweepers. Magic Bounce is an alternative which that prevents sleep from Lovely Kiss and blocks Entrainment, letting Primal Kyogre counter Xerneas and Mega Gengar more effectively without getting put to sleep. This also allows Primal Kyogre to run a different item over Safety Goggles. Ghostium Z lets Kyogre safely defeat Normalize Gengar while OHKOing Mega Mewtwo Y as well.

Usage Tips
========
Use Primal Kyogre to answer dangerous set up setup attackers like Mega Gengar and Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas. Also watch out for ability-nullifying moves like Core Enforcer and Entrainment, since they also remove Unaware and make Primal Kyogre much more susceptible to set up setup. Use Spectral Thief against boosted opponents targets, as it removes opposing stat boosts, making makes (dex info) them easier to handle for teammates. Stealing defensive boosts can also make help Primal Kyogre bulkier to live take more hits, (comma) It also lets Primal Kyogre take the next with notable examples being Moongeist Beam or and Photon Geyser better, as those attacks ignore Unaware but not stat boosts. Revelation Dance and Scald are great for chipping opponents opposing Pokemon, and U-turn is a great option against opponents foes that fail to pressure Primal Kyogre. Core Enforcer is effective at annoying the opponent, especially against Pokemon that heavily depend on their ability, such as Poison Heal and Regenerator users. Keep Primal Kyogre's health high with Shore Up, especially against known set up setup attackers like Mega Gengar and Contrary Mega Mewtwo Y, as Primal Kyogre can get 2HKOed if not healthy enough.

Team Options
========
Bulky walls such as Zygarde-C that struggle against strong set up setup attackers, especially specially attacking (RH) ones, appreciate Primal Kyogre blanket checking (RH) set up attackers them, while they can help against wallbreakers that can use brute force to break through Primal Kyogre. Entry hazard removers are necessary, as Primal Kyogre is vulnerable to chip damage, which forces it to waste momentum recovering, (AC) as it needs to have high health to check the appropriate attackers. Defensive Pokemon that can run Defog, Rapid Spin, and Magic Bounce like Registeel, Yveltal, and Mega Audino, respectively, are also good options. Despite Unaware, Primal Kyogre can get overwhelmed by certain set up setup sweepers like Contrary Mega Rayquaza and Mega Sceptile and Belly Drum Kartana. Boosted by rain, STAB, and Choice Specs, Water Spout is ridiculously powerful and can OHKO common defensive Pokemon like Registeel and Mega Audino. Steam Eruption is a good secondary STAB move which that is useful for spreading burns and when Primal Kyogre is low on health. Earth Power specifically hits Red Orb Groudon, which is immune to the Water moves thanks to Desolate Land, and guarantees guaranteeing an OHKO with some prior chip damage, but it doesn't hit any other relevant targets.

Set Details
========
A Modest nature provides Primal Kyogre with the maximum power, letting it hit important benchmarks such as OHKOing Registeel and 2HKOing Giratina. A Timid nature can be run to outspeed neutral-natured base 90 Speed Pokemon such as Impish or Bold Giratina and 2HKO it if it has a +Def nature, but such Pokemon usually don't run max Speed. Choice Specs boosts Primal Kyogre's Special Attack to sky-high levels. Primordial Sea boosts Primal Kyogre's Water-type moves by 50%, and combined with Choice Specs it makes it so leaves very few Pokemon capable of taking Water Spout, limited to the most bulky Water resists or immunes Pokemon that resist or are immune to Water such as RegenVest Primal Kyogre and Giratina. If rain is set by a teammate, Tinted Lens can be run to fully remove all switch-ins, (AH) OHKOing non-Assault Vest Giratina. Tinted Lens can also be run outside of rain support to pressure resists Pokemon that resist harder, but Primal Kyogre misses out on many key OHKOs on other passive Pokemon such as Registeel and Mega Audino. Swift Swim can also be run to outspeed up to and including Mega Mewtwo Y and provides a form of speed control lets Primal Kyogre take on otherwise faster foes.

Usage Tips
========
Bring Primal Kyogre in safely through a slow pivot, as it loses a lot of its wallbreaking power if it takes chip damage that reduce reduces Water Spout's base power. In general, Water Spout will be chosen as the attack due to its astronomical power. Against Imposter users, try to fish for a burn from Steam Eruption or pivot out with Volt Switch to do some chip damage and gain momentum. Scouting opponent opposing sets, such as with Imposter, is important to determine if Primal Kyogre is capable of breaking through walls; (SC) as for example, RegenVest Dialga is difficult for Primal Kyogre to break through without support, whereas offensive Dialga is 2HKOed. If the opposing Pokemon is faster or Primal Kyogre is unable to handle it, it is ideal to switch out to avoid damage. Do not let Primal Kyogre take any chip damage such as from entry hazards if it is trying to wallbreak effectively, as it needs to have maximum power Water Spout for many crucial benchmarks, so Wish passing (RH) and Z-Parting Shot can mitigate this somewhat. If needed, Primal Kyogre can be used to remove a dangerous threat such as Mega Mewtwo Y, as Steam Eruption can still OHKO it while its good bulk allows it to take a hit and retaliate back.

========
Slow, bulky pivots such as Registeel, Mega Audino, and Mega Slowbro are crucial to this set, as this set requires them to bring it this set in safely to maintain Water Spout's power, and they also can sponge the opponent's hits when Primal Kyogre switches out. Examples include Registeel, Mega Audino, and Mega Slowbro. They also can force common defensive answers such as Magic Bounce Registeel and Mega Audino in, both of which Primal Kyogre is capable of OHKOing. Knock Off users such as Mega Tyranitar and Mega Gyarados are appreciated to remove Assault Vests from opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina, making it possible for which otherwise wall Primal Kyogre to break through, as otherwise it is walled. Wish passers (RH) like Zygarde-C and Z-Parting Shot users such as Soundproof Mega Slowbro can give Primal Kyogre a second chance at breaking by restoring chipped health. Zygarde-C can also remove hazards while Mega Slowbro is a very slow pivot. Depending on the set, Pokemon to Imposter-proofs to Primal Kyogre such as RegenVest Primal Kyogre and Red Orb Groudon are needed, as this Primal Kyogre set cannot damage Imposter users too much and will require a teammate that can switch in after Imposter comes they come in. A Pokemon that can lure or remove Imposter is valuable by removing an important defensive switch-in. Examples include defensive Pokemon that can trap and PP-stall Imposter users, Mega Gengar, and Poison Heal Regigigas or Xerneas. Toxic Spikes are very helpful, as they deter Imposter (RC) and also pressures pressure other switch-ins such as Primal Kyogre and Giratina.

Other Options
=============
Other defensive abilities such as Comatose and Fur Coat can also be run; (SC) Comatose can prevent some status moves and provide a counter to Poison Heal Primal Kyogre and Xerneas that, (AC) unlike with Magic Bounce Primal Kyogre variants, will not get poisoned from Toxic Spikes and Poison Fang, (comma) while Fur Coat improves Primal Kyogre's physical bulk and allows it to check some physical attackers better, like Kyurem-B. However, those sets are generally less viable or better run on another defensive Pokemon. A Sheer Force set using Steam Eruption, Ice Beam, Bolt Strike, and Shell Smash is a fast sweeper that can surprise many teams due to its immediate increase in power and can OHKO opposing Primal Kyogre and Giratina with a boosted Bolt Strike and or Ice Beam, respectively. A defensive Poison Heal set is possible with Scald, Stealth Rock, Spiky Shield, and Ice Beam or Knock Off, providing a hazard setter with longevity while not requiring much team support.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Primal Kyogre and Mega Gyarados both resist Water, have great special bulk, and doesn't don't take much from coverage moves.

**Other Bulky Water Resists Answers**: Bulky Pokemon that resist Water, such as Giratina and Ferrothorn, can take the Primal Kyogre's Water moves with ease and proceed to retaliate.

In return, it can 2HKOes Primal Kyogre with V-create or can set up on it.

It can also recover in front of defensive sets and abuse take advantage of Regenerator for free. It can also annoy the RegenVest set with Core Enforcer, removing the only source of recovering health. However, it loses to the Poison Heal set and cannot switch in safely to the Sheer Force set.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers such as Mega Mewtwo X, Kartana, and Regigigas can target Primal Kyogre's weaker physical defense bulk and defeat it.

These Pokemon are rare in the metagame, (AC) though.
