Description: Pokemon Trainer, little experience. Many months of personal growth have changed this fellow into a calmer and more collected individual, with a firmer grasp on strategy. Despite this, he is still a rookie, and loses 4 battles for every win. Still, he doesn't mind. He'll get the hang of it some day.
P.S. I will like react to 90% of all posts

Prize Claims

Note: when making subs, you should always remember to sub for the situation. This is only a general guideline, and are not the only things you should sub for.
- Bide
- Counter, Mirror Coat, Metal Burst*
- Torment
- Encore
- Disable
- Imprison
- Pain Split

Situational:
- Substitute
- Taunt
- Endure
- Skill Swap
*Note: even if you don't want to waste two subs on two moves with similar effects it's generally a good call to still have one sub to cover one move if you have the subs to spare.
COMBOS
- keep into account combo and consecutive move costs
- combos have negative priority, unless combined priority is +1 in which case it doubles the priority, capping out at +6.
- moves have combo classes, be sure to check them
- and combo types
- again, specify move or type, as well as say it is damaging, for combinations.

SUBSTITUTIONS
- ‘non-damaging move’ is an invalid substitute clause
- ‘OR’ in substitutions count as two substitutions
- ‘Damaging [type] move’ is a perfectly legal clause
- ‘AND you are faster’ is also perfectly legal
- ‘AND you are faster by Speed Clause’ is also legal
- meanwhile else is not legal, this ain’t coding (sadly)
- ‘DAMAGING [type] move’ please, otherwise it’s illegal
- ‘weather-causing move’ is not a legal clause
- however, ‘IF weather is Sunny/Rainy etc.’ is a valid clause.
- take note of priority, don’t try and dig a combination
- don’t try to Dig Earthquake
- Chance ATTACK clauses are checked at the start of the round (a bit like priority +1[infinite zeros])
- CHANCE clauses are checked at the start of your action
- a mixture of both is checked at the start of your action
- both are ignored if you specify a timing
- a sub cannot resolve unless all clauses return true

MOVES
- some moves can have two or more variations, be sure to say which one you are using!
- a lot of moves (e.g. Dragon Rage and Torment) are different from the main games, so be sure you know what they do!
- Endure can’t be used back-to-back, so don’t try it
- Double Team is basically evasiveness, except that it becomes useless against spread moves and always hit moves.
- Imprison only works on moves you already know.
- it also requires exactly 3 moves to imprison
- Torment also prevents usage of same-move combinations
- Pain Split has a dynamic energy cost
- Metal Burst only works if you moved after the opponent (it ain’t negative priority)
- Moves with perfect accuracy like Magical Leaf cannot penetrate the evasive stage of D/E moves like Dig
- Endure makes you sluggish after you have used it

ABILITIES
- seriously gotta tell myself to Use Multiscale properly. I ought to bring Dragonite to some battles and try
- Regenerator exists
- Trace exists, so please remember to specify what to trace at he start of the round
- No Guard breaks all laws by allowing you to hit mons in the evasive stage of D/E moves.

FIELD
- Psychic Terrain prevents priority
- Take note of weather, they can affect the entire battle (autocorrect wanted it to be Weathering [with You], yes please take note of that XD)

FORMATS
- teaming up to take down one mon is the way to go in Doubles and Triples, unless you have spread moves!

OTHER
- you cannot edit after the opponent has ordered, don’t be a jerk and do that
- switch phases can only be started if you are ordering first. Meanwhile, if you used U-Turn, Volt Switch, or Flip Turn (etc.), you Switch at the start of your order (you need to order first)
- you also need to order first if you used a phasing move
- TMan87 loves ordering second on a critical round, see if you can abuse that “If I feel like I can lock down an opponent's options ordering first (against either weakened foes or ones with a limited movepool), I'm going for that. I will agree, though, that if you can pressure your opponent into having to cover their bases in a critical round, only for you to exploit something that wasn't covered by the subs, you have the upper hand.” ~TMan87 (I cant easily summarize this) basically abuse ordering if the round is critical. Unfortunately I’ll have a hard time figuring out when a round turns critical...
- you have limited recoveries
- remember your type charts!

In summary:
When making subs, check opponent moves, field effects, and abilities on both sides. If necessary, look up move effects and do damage calculations.

Stage 3:
These Pokemon are powerful, but they have a long way to go to unlocking their full potential!
All Pokemon with no notes are generally fine with most items, but consumables are better.
Normal-types :cinccino:

Shino [♀] Cinccino [Stage: 3]
Type: Normal
Hidden Power Type: Flying

[Abilities]

Cute Charm
This Pokemon's natural cuteness causes Pokemon of the opposite gender to become Infatuated 30% of the time after striking with a contact move.

Technician
This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their one-hit or two-hit attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power on each hit multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, Double Hit to from 4 per hit to 6 per hit etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack that has its BAP increased by Technician is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects. Technician only applies to combos in the rare case that an initial hit will have 6 or less BAP.

Skill Link
This Pokemon's skillful aim makes its multi-hit moves always hit 5 times. The Energy Cost of multi-hit attacks is increased by three (3).

Shino is very shy, and prefers to hide away in her home, a modest burrow. She is easily frightened, but when push comes to shove displays incredible bravery. She obsessively cleans her home.

[Abilities]

Overgrow
When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any grass attack is increased by three (3). (eg Giga Drain goes from 8 to 11, Solar Beam from 12 to 15)

Contrary
By default this Pokemon's unique structure reverses stat changes it receives in battle, from both its own attacks and those of other Pokemon. At the end of the round, stat changes will still increase/decrease toward 0. When toggled, it has no effect.

When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33%, the Base Attack Power of any water attack is increased by three (3). (eg Water Pulse goes from 6 to 9, Hydro Pump from 11 to 14)

Protean
By default, this Pokemon switches their type before striking with each damaging attack to match the attack they are about to use, and keep that type until another damaging move is used. The energy cost for the attack is calculated based on their type before using the move. When toggled, the Pokemon reverts back to their natural typing. Pokemon that also have Color Change ability may select whether to keep their current type or the damaging attack's type each action.

[Abilities]

Static
This Pokemon's body is surrounded by an electric field that has a 30% chance of paralyzing opponents that use contact moves on this Pokemon.

Plus
This Pokemon possesses a positive electrical charge. This Pokemon lures all water attacks to itself, altering their course away from partner Pokemon. It absorbs the water, taking no damage from the attack and increasing its Special Attack by one (1) stage. If this ability was triggered by an opponent's attack, the natural stage is adjusted.

Vital Spirit
This Pokemon has a high vitality and alertness making it immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage and energy/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker, it will wake up the next action. If a Pokemon with Vital Spirit also has Insomnia, its Defense and Special Defense each is increased by one (1) Rank permanently.

Telepathy
This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple battles, which allows it to avoid taking damage from allied attacks that damage each foe or the entire field like Blizzard and Earthquake. They are still affected by an opponents spread damage attacks.

Luc [♂] Lucario [Stage: 3]
Type: Fighting / Steel
Hidden Power Type: Water

[Abilities]

Steadfast
If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases its Speed (adjusting the natural stage) by one (1) stage to make up the difference.

Inner Focus
This Pokemon has unshakable mental composure. It is immune to Intimidate. Also, Flinching does not prevent it from acting, but if it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability still activates.

Justified
This Pokemon's body reacts to dark energy, invigorating its passions. When hit by a Dark-type move, the Pokémon's Attack will increase one (1) stage (adjusting the natural stage).

Luc is an honorable and loyal Pokemon. While he rarely engages in small talk, he cares for his friends very much, and will risk his life to save those he loves. Thankfully, that has never happened yet.
He has a strange gold medallion in his keeping that he often fondles. Nobody knows where he got it from.

Exca [♂] Excadrill [Stage: 3]
Type: Ground / Steel
Hidden Power Type: Water

[Abilities]

Sand Rush
This Pokemon thrives in Sandstorm conditions, feeling more at home in them than all other Pokemon. This Pokemon's Base Speed is doubled (x2) in a Sandstorm. Pokemon with this ability are immune to Sandstorm damage.

Sand Force
This Pokemon thrives in Sandstorm conditions, using the power of the swirling sand to augment its Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-typed attacks. Each of this Pokemon's Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-typed attacks will have the Base Attack Power increased by two (2). Pokemon with this ability are immune to Sandstorm damage.

Mold Breaker
Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables defensive Abilities the opponent has. (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, etc.) Abilities affected by Mold Breaker are tagged as #Molded. Attacks are still redirected by Lightningrod/Storm Drain, but damage is dealt normally. Status-immunity abilities such as Limber will remove their relevant status at the start of the victim's next action.

Ender [-] Stratagem [Stage: 3]
Type: Rock
Hidden Power Type: Flying

[Abilities]

Levitate
This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, granting the Hovering status. Ground moves can still hit.

Sniper
This Pokemon has deadly accuracy and strikes sensitive points, increasing its critical hit bonus from +3 to +6 on single attacks, +2 to +3 on two-hit attacks, and +1 to +2 on multi-hit attacks.

Cold and calculaing, Stratagem appears more machine than organism. The robotic behaviour occasionally exhibited can be unnerving. Despite this, he does have feelings, and often feels sad at the fear he generates.

Devoir [♀] Gardevoir [Stage: 3]
Type: Psychic / Fairy
Hidden Power Type: Ice

[Abilities]

Synchronise
Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and when inflicted by the major status ailments Burn, Poison, or Paralysis, will share their status condition with the opponent. Pokemon will not be inflicted by status conditions to which they are immune by virtue of typing, ability, etc.

Trace
When entering into battle, this Pokemon can copy an ability on one of its opponents for 6 EN. This effect only triggers if the ability to be copied is specified when the Pokemon is sent out. When facing a pokemon with Trace, the Player sending out last must send out the pokemon without orders, in order to give the opponent the opportunity to trigger trace and any orders eventually given will be ignored until given the opportunity for trace to be triggered. The ability remains on the Pokemon for six (6) actions

Telepathy
This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple battles, which allows it to avoid taking damage from allied attacks that damage each foe or the entire field like Blizzard and Earthquake. They are still affected by an opponents spread damage attacks.

If there is one Pokemon who would be the leader of this group, it would be Devoir. A natural leader, Devoir has a knack for delegation, and can easily grasp the entire picture. Her cold, sequential methodology and attention to detail perfectly complements her skills. She has never been caught late, and her calculating mind and no discernible display of emotion most of the time has caused her to be described as emotionless and cold-hearted. Despite this, she cares deeply for her friends, which is everyone she has ever met.
Another nickname of hers is "Voir", the farsighted. She has a slight Kalosian accent, although why that may be is unknown.

Hidden Power Type: Fairy

[Abilities]

Overcoat
This Pokemon has a sturdy exterior that rebuffs the elements, making it immune to damage inflicted by bad weather. The Pokemon is also immune to moves tagged as #Powder. If the Pokemon is already immune to at least one (1) kind of weather, or powder attacks by typing or a different ability, Overcoat reduces the Base Attack Power of all oncoming attacks by one (1).

Magic Guard
The Pokemon is endowed with a magical barrier of protection. It takes no direct HP damage from Entry Hazards, Weather, Leech Seed, Poisoning, Burn, Curse, and the ongoing effect of Partial Trapping moves. The Pokemon does not take Recoil from its own attacks (except for Struggle). It can still attack itself in confusion, and will still take damage from it. Toxic still increases in damage each round, although if Magic Guard is in effect the Pokemon will not suffer any damage. Life Orb recoil is negated.

Regenerator
When this Pokemon is switched out during a switch battle, it reacts to the energy in the Pokeball and (ten) 10 HP is restored. When this Pokemon Chills, it restores six (6) HP in addition to its 12 Energy.

Kit [♀] Kitsunoh [Stage: 3]
Type: Ghost / Steel
Hidden Power Type: Water

[Abilities]

Frisk
The Pokemon has intimate knowledge of the opponent's held item and ignores any item-based increases or decreases in damage, BAP and STAB from the opponent's item. This will not block the increase in BAP moves like Acrobatics and Knock Off that incur when an item is or isn't held. Item-Based increase in ranks (Such as from Rare Candy) are not negated by Frisk. The Pokemon will not be affected by Fling or Natural Gift.

Limber
This Pokemon's body is well trained and immune to paralysis. If the Pokemon with this Ability is Electric-type, this Pokemon's Speed cannot be lowered by any method, including self-inflicted reductions.

Iron Fist
The Base Attack Power of this Pokemon's moves tagged as #Punch is increased by one (1).

Flighty and easily spooked, Kit prefers not to battle, always attempting to use diplomacy when possible.

Nite [♀] Dragonite [Stage: 3]
Type: Dragon / Flying
Hidden Power Type: Steel

[Abilities]

Inner Focus
This Pokemon has unshakable mental composure. It is immune to Intimidate. Also, Flinching does not prevent it from acting, but if it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability still activates.

Multiscale (*)
This Pokemon has sturdy scales to protect it from an opponent's attacks. If this Pokemon is at their maximum HP when a round starts, all damage done to this Pokemon by attacks with BAP during the round will be halved.

Shy and sweet, Nite makes an effort to be nice to everyone. This works fine for now, when most of the other pokemon on my team are nice enough.

Alta [♀] Altaria [Stage: 3]
Type: Dragon / Flying
Hidden Power Type: Steel

[Abilities]

Natural Cure
This Pokemon's body has the ability to heal itself of status afflictions over time, it goes into effect six (6) actions after being inflicted with a status. In switch battles, this Pokemon heals all status effects when switched out.

Cloud Nine
Pokemon with Cloud Nine will not suffer any negative effects of weather, but will benefit from all positive effects. Sunny Day and Rain Dance do not increase the damage of attacks against them, or decrease the damage of their attacks. They suffer no damage in Hail and Sandstorm. Their Solar Beam will retain its BAP in Hail, Rain Dance, and Sandstorm, while the charge is still removed under Sunny Day. Solar Beam always charges against them, Blizzard, Thunder and Hurricane will always check with their 70% accuracy (or 50% if a weather effect reduces it.)

Command: Activate Cloud Nine - 5 En - Negates ongoing weather effects instantly. This command does not prevent weather from being re-summoned.

Hugs [♀] Goodra [Stage: 3]
Type: Dragon
Hidden Power Type: Rock

[Abilities]

Sap Sipper
This Pokemon lives on a steady diet of plants and has developed defenses to every Grass-type attack. When attacked with a Grass-type move, damage and effects are negated and the Pokemon gains a one (1) stage boost to its Attack stage (adjusting the natural stage).

Hydration
This Pokemon absorbs water during the rain to heal any status effects afflicting this Pokemon.

Gooey
This Pokemon has a thick goo covering its body that sticks to any Pokemon that strikes it with a contact attack, slowing the attacking down and reducing its speed (and adjusting the natural stage) by one (1) stage.

Optimistic and sociable, Hugs always assumes the best will happen. She has an intuitive grasp of social situations, and knows when is appropriate to talk or keep quiet. This grasp of society does not extend to battling unfortunately, and she is quite clumsy in battle. Nevertheless, whenever she succeeds, the power of her strikes is overwhelming.

Steel-types:metagross:

Steven Metagross [Stage: 3]
Type: Steel / Psychic
Hidden Power Type: Water

[Abilities]

Clear Body
This Pokemon's body structure makes it immune to stat-lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)

Light Metal
The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Light Metal assumes the maximum possible hits from a multi-hit move for the purposes of priority (e.g. Double Kick gets priority as it reaches 6 BAP, Bullet Seed does not get priority as it reaches 15 BAP).

Cold and calculating, the robotic mind of Steven frightens some members of the team, as he emotionlessly analyses the best course of action. A computational error during his birth resulted in subpar computational skills compared to other Metagrosses, but even this weakened strategic mind fights excellently well.

Kiss [♀] Togekiss [Stage: 3]
Type: Fairy/Flying
Hidden Power Type: Ground

[Abilities]

Hustle
By default this Pokemon puts immense force and speed into its physical attacks, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2), but the haste used lowers their accuracy to 80% of normal. When toggled, no effect.

Serene Grace
This Pokemon has a blessing which doubles the success chance of its attack's secondary effects. (eg paralysis from Thunderbolt)

Super Luck
This Pokemon's natural skill increases its critical hit levels one stage above other Pokemon, making its normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and its high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 50% of the time.

One of the more talkative members of the team, Kiss is always in high spirits, regardless of the situation, and always assumes the best. Her contagious goodwill can even affect the most grouchy members of the team, and this strength can unite the team in the harshest circumstances. Most of the time though, the members have to put up with her chatty nature and juvenile antics.

Stage 1:
These Pokemon, for whatever reason, prefer not to evolve. That does not mean they are any less powerful though!

:castform::cherubi::azurill: and Monohm!
:Monohm:
Mono [♀] Monohm [Stage: 1]
Type: Electric / Dragon

[Abilities]

Shield Dust
This Pokemon has dust covering the outside of its body that reduces the Effect Chance of incoming attacks to 0%. This prevents such things as Burns from Flamethrower from occuring.

Static
This Pokemon's body is surrounded by an electric field that has a 30% chance of paralyzing opponents that use contact moves on this Pokemon.

Overcoat [HA locked]
This Pokemon has a sturdy exterior that rebuffs the elements, making it immune to damage inflicted by bad weather. The Pokemon is also immune to moves tagged as #Powder. If the Pokemon is already immune to at least one (1) kind of weather, or powder attacks by typing or a different ability, Overcoat reduces the Base Attack Power of all oncoming attacks by one (1).

Mono is normally very quiet, and prefers to keep to herself. Despite this, she has one of the best grasps of strategy in the entire team, but frequently keeps it to herself. Nobody asked for her advice after all!

Azu [♀] Azurill [Stage: 1]
Type: Normal / Fairy

[Abilities]

Thick Fat
This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)

Huge Power
This Pokemon's Attack Rank (e.g. before nature) is doubled. If this Pokemon does not naturally have this ability, its Attack Rank is instead increased by one (1).

Sap Sipper [HA locked]
This Pokemon lives on a steady diet of plants and has developed defenses to every Grass-type attack. When attacked with a Grass-type move, damage and effects are negated and the Pokemon gains a one (1) stage boost to its Attack stage (adjusting the natural stage).

Easily excitable and exceedingly garrulous, Azu has been remarked to be capable of talking the hind legs off a Mudbray. This chatter often irritates other temperamental members of the party, and she is frequently thrown away. Due to her small size, bouncability and excellent landing control however, she is never hurt by this and often comes back talking as furiously as ever. She loves coffee but never gets more than a cup, much to her disappointment.

Stage 4:
These Pokemon have trained much, and have unlocked a new litany of capabilities. They have not reached their full potential yet, however, they are close to doing so!

:raikou:

:ss/raikou:
Rawr [♂] Raikou [Stage: 4]
Type: Electric
Hidden Power Type: Ice

[Abilities]

Pressure
This Pokemon's presence fills the air with intense anxiety, and any damaging or status attack launched at this Pokemon costs the opposing Pokemon two (2) more energy to perform.

Inner Focus
This Pokemon has unshakable mental composure. It is immune to Intimidate. Also, Flinching does not prevent it from acting, but if it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability still activates.
