"I've come a long way since I started. Are you here to help me improve even further?"
Log Entry #1 (08/19/2018): So, you see, I was living a nice life with a group of cool Pokémon that I personally raised and was just enjoying myself, when one day, during a stroll on the beach, a giant tidal wave that had appeared out of nowhere simply swooped me off with the violence of a thousand storms. When I came to, I was on an unknown beach, on what appeared to be an island, with a Tangela looking curiously at me. You can imagine how shocked I was, but nevertheless I stood up, brushed the sand off my suit, grabbed my suitcase (it was still full of money yay) and began exploring. I rapidly recruited a team of young Pokémon talents to help me, and rapidly met off with familiar faces that apparently suffered the same fate...
Now I'm trying to contact Misha through telepathy so that she and the others can come here and bring me back home. I'll still enjoying my pseudo-vacation while I still can!
Log Entry #2 (08/24/2018): While training on the beach, I spotted something swimming towards me with great speed. As I was wondering whether to quickly retreat or go see what it was, I noticed a familiar crown-like appendage on the head of whatever was rushing in my direction. Turns out it was Kamina who spotted me from afar, as part of the Special Water-type Section dispatched by the rest of the team to look for me (I appreciate the lengths they went for me, but who chose such a name, really?). Anyway, I quickly sent my B team (who had grown strong by then!) back into their respective Ball, hopped aboard and was taken back to the exact beach where I was swept off by the tidal wave (with the journey lasting for around two hours. How did I even survive that?!). I introduced the gang to their new friends, and sure enough, new alliances quickly formed. We partied that night!
Log Entry #3 (08/30/2018): While passing by still the same beach, looking for clues as to where my missing friends went, I saw Un passant ordinaire on his Wishiwashi, seemingly also coming back from the island. I don't think he saw me, but I assumed he went back to his own headquarters. I bet he's gonna have a party tonight as well. Now if only I could find out where Granny Pie went…
Log Entry #4 (06/26/2019): After months of trying to get back to that strange island (and failing), turns out Granny Pie had found a way home by himself. Well, now I guess all of my friends are back from there, so worrying about the island is pointless now. The Island Trio (Okuma, Edea and Daraen) does love telling tales of their youth there, and whether it's met with furrowed brows or widened eyes, everybody still listens religiously to the story of this foreign land. I'll still shoot Misha his way to see if everything is in order. You can't spend almost a year by yourself there and still be completely the same...

Unlike most Budews that are rather meek and happy-go-lucky, Manon clearly wants to become the very best and won't let an opportunity slip from her non-existent hands. Her whole persona is tinted with pride: pride in her own beauty, pride in her own potential, and of course she expects to be able to take pride in her teammates and Trainer... which makes my job a bit harder since she doesn't really forgive failure. Nonetheless, I handpicked this little Budew myself for her capabilities, and I will put up with whatever she can throw at me until she blooms and reaches full power.
Strangely enough, she has become way more level-headed and calm since she evolved into Roselia, probably realizing her status of team leader (since she was the first to evolve) meant that she had to take care of her teammates if she wanted to progress as well, as there's no way she can be the only one to win battles.
Finally shining as a Roserade, she now aims to perfect her fighting style by taking down as many opponents as she can, all while acting like a coach for the team, welcoming new members and helping them in their training. While more strict than Kamina in this endeavor, she still tries to acknowledge everyone's strengths and weaknesses and provide adequate support. Watch out though, she gets mad whenever she doesn't get the respect she thinks she deserves.

Kévin's the textbook example of a shonen protagonist: a bit slow on the uptake, but extremely loyal. There's not much that can faze him and he remains placid in all circumstances, yet he still has a strong sense of responsibility towards the team, as he knows he has great potential. Everyone likes him, but the reason can vary -for example, Manon can order him around since he doesn't care much. His eternal calmness is probably for the best though, as whoever angers him will quickly learn that he has enormous reserves of fire to throw around...
Now a Camerupt, he has somehow become a very respected orator, as he ponders every word that comes out of his mouth. While his raw power is second to none, he sometimes complains about his lack of tricky strategies. He still likes to fall asleep and serve as a portative heat source though.

Reynald is a young Porygon full of hopes and dreams wanting nothing more than tackle life and get successful. Not particularly hard-working nor slacking either, his "middle ground"-type personality is appreciated by everyone. He knows how to command though, and will take the lead should nobody else arise. His favorite color is black, I wonder why?
As a Porygon2, he's much smoother, though not much else changed. Legend has it Agnès officially passed her Eviolite to him since they evolved at the same time and she couldn't use it anymore. Even if he does make good use of this item, he's still waiting for the day he'll be able to raze opponents down to the ground with a single Hyper Beam...
And finally, there it is! Trading bulk for extensive power, Reynald has all the tools he needs to overpower pretty much everything on his path, including the aforementioned Hyper Beam. While the evolution made him develop a stuttering habit, he's still as starry-eyed as ever and is always thrilled at the perspective of new opponents. Granted, Agnès wasn't too happy when she learned he didn't want to use Eviolite anymore (though, where he discarded it is a mystery to this day), but since she followed pretty much the same evolutionary path, she quickly reverted back to her usual attitude. Both of them can be seen hanging out together frequently.

Now here's an unusual one. Chris is a potent Pokémon, but is rather unwilling to work in a team. That means he'll be at his peak in Singles, not so much in Doubles or Triples. He'd rather not train with anyone (except Kamina, then again the guy trains with literally everyone) and work his way to the top alone. Whether this is a good strategy or not has yet to be determined...
Not many changes as a Servine, aside from being a bit more full of himself and dishing out a bit more damage. We'll see what gives when he evolves once more.
Okay, turns out Christophe wasn't all bark and no bite after all. Sacrificing defenses for better offenses is an unusual strategy, and maybe he's overly relying on Mirror Coat, but he's still pretty good at unleashing devastating Leaf Storms on the opponent! He's kind of a glas cannon: hitting hard-ish and super fast, but he can't take many hits. But hey, at least he still rocks the smug snake persona, trying to intimidate his opponents into submission before the match even starts.

Claude isn't the most talkative Pokémon out of the entire team, but he certainly is one of the wisest. He'll usually spend most of his time sitting at some high point, watching the horizon and thinking to himself. Quite the mysterious Pokémon, really. However, he's also frequently looking out for the team, acting both as counselor and guardian angel, protecting the more air-headed team members from themselves. Thanks to its incredible eye(?)sight and prediction skills, he can quickly swoop down on any fellow in need of rescuing and prevent calamities and disasters (and ouchies). He's a great help and gets along well with Lilly, as they play the Team Mom/Team Dad card together and protect the flock, and Daraen, with whom he likes to watch the sun rise as he never sleeps very much, rather going back to contemplation.
Now, he's not really the best at fighting with raw stats, but his Abilities certainly help in avoiding detrimental status effects, forcing the opponent into a damage race rather than letting them try funny stuff on him. He still has his fair share of tricks himself, but that comes with the Psychic typing.

Stubborn? Maybe. Sturdy? Definitely. ZhengTann (ZT for short) has had plenty of time to harden that hide and slowly build experience... though it's a wonder he's still a Rhyhorn if that's the case. On the chill side of the Chill v. Hyperactive Scale of the team, he likes to hang out around Kévin and the two are often seen having meaningful and profound conversations together. In battle, he's a rounded character, having average offenses and defenses, though there's still much potential to awaken...
ZT as a Rhydon is pretty much the same: stubborn and going straight in, though he now packs a serious punch. Going from quadrupede to bipede allows him to stand his ground much better, and he uses his arms to great effect in conjunction with his deadly horn. But, you know, there's still something lacking...
And BOOM! Here it is, ZhengTann, King of all Rhyhorns and Rhydons. While this evolution didn't really boost his stats, getting Solid Rock further cements his status as a rock-solid wall that will stop you in your tracks if you can't muscle past him. He brushed up his offense a bit, getting all sorts of coverage to take you down while you hopelessly try to scratch him. Outside of battle though, he's a nice fellow, kinda grumpy but still willing to take care of stuff should you ask him nicely enough. He and Kévin often train together and they are said to unleash incredible destructive power during their sparring sessions.

BBP Yamaku High:

Misha certainly is the team's funball. Despite being a Psychic-type, she doesn't usually make much use of her brain and prefers to go with the flow, sprinkling her appearances with her trademark "Wahaha~!", though I suspect her of exaggerating some of her reactions by pure theatrical instinct (who would attempt to pout after receiving only one round of damage?). However, she does have a bit of a competitive streak and will quickly revert to a calmer state should a dangerous opponent arise.
Evolving didn't make her more calm, instead exarcebating her competitive nature. Needless to say, this trait mixed with her happy and joyous nature produce a very strange result, as she will cheerily try to crush any opponent that crosses her line of sight.
When she finally became a Reuniclus, Misha's love became all-encompassing and her caring side represents most of her personality. She's as much of a showoff as before though, and is still incredibly keen on having fun. Misha has a soft spot for Granny Pie's Weavile, Shizune, because she was the first to discover her hidden in the woods, but also the first to overcome her natural wariness of strangers. She also acts as her translator, since that peculiar Weavile appears to be deaf-mute. They form an almost inseparable duo now, and it's not unusual for either Trainer to see one or the other hanging around despite not being part of their team.

Unlike other members of the team who like to tank hits and hit hard in return, Emi's all about speed. She was the team's fastest member for a while, and her unique fighting style revolves around dashing at blinding speeds to hit the opponent before retreating out of harm. She still has a bit of a road ahead of her before mastering that though, as she often trips and has difficult switching directions midway.
Evolving really improved her balance, which allowed her to reach impressive speeds. Since her fighting style uses kinetic energy, with speed came power, and even if she's a bit of a one-trick pony, her blows can be frighteningly powerful if she puts her soul to it. Don't go imagining she's satisfied though, as she always aims higher: to be the fastest thing alive is her dream. Emi found a new partner in Granny Pie's Drifloon, since High Jump Kicking won't work on the surprisingly tricky balloon Pokémon. She often comes over to spar and play, sometimes spreading mischief in the process.

Shizune immediately took a liking to Misha and to a lesser extent to Selphine upon arrival, and comes off as cold to everyone else, particularly Manon who doesn't like people talking back to her about her directions. She isn't very talkative and will often train alone, save for Kamina who detected great potential within the fish. And boy, does she put almost all her energy into training! She once said she wants to achieve her true form as soon as possible and that she'll be much friendlier then, though some write that off as an excuse...
Well it wasn't an excuse. Having bloomed into an astonishingly pretty Milotic, she's now proud to display her appearance and dazzle even her former detractors. Gentle yet a tad arrogant, she values Misha and Kamina the most, as they were the ones to stay at her side during her Feebas phase. She likes to help others too, but does so in a rather directive way, which is not to everyone's taste.

Rin is quite the stereotypical Spinda. For once, she never seems to know where she's going and it's a miracle she manages to go from point A to point B without falling. Alternatively, while she can hold a somewhat coherent conversation at times, the parts where she spouts incoherent semi-philosophical tirades are quite frequent, which leaves almost everyone in the dark as to what's going on inside her mind. In reality, Emi just brought Rin in her arms once, while we were out camping and training, and asked if we could recruit her because 'she is so cute and funny'. I'm one to say the more the merrier, but when asked it she was alright with it, this peculiar Spinda just began rambling about the sky. Since she didn't seem afraid or reluctant or anything, I just... rolled with it.
In fight, she just does, uh, Rin things, which seem to greatly disorient her opponents. Whatever works, I guess? With Rin, you just can't help but seriously wonder whether or not she's consciously doing the things she does...

While there are several possible Team Dads already, nobody assumes the role of Team Mom better than the gentle and feminine Lilly. Since fighting isn't really her thing, she spends her days trying to take care of other people's needs. Her milk is of excellent quality and nutrient-rich, which helps the newest members of the team since they often need to catch up to their more powerful elders. That being said, everyone enjoys a glass of milk from time to time, whether it be after intense training or before bed. As such, her popularity within the team is very high.
That being said, if she is forced to take action, she will not hold back in the slightest and thoroughly discipline her opponent -or faint trying. This glimpse of hot-bloodedness, barely apparent in regular interactions, is probably why she's so calm most of the time and why she's still training even though she only fights as a last resort: because said last resorts actually allows her to blow off all the steam she accumulates in her everyday life. Certainly not an opponent to underestimate.

This Swinub likes to take things slow and go at his own pace. He's less of a sprinter and more of an endurance runner, which can lead to indecisiveness, but ultimately he stands firm in his beliefs and perpetually moves forward, regardless of his speed. He tends to be quite naive and easily swayed though. He founded the ASB Yamaku High to find like-minded companions.
Becoming a Piloswine didn't improve his sight, far from it. Now he must rely on pure instinct to keep going and not trip up! However, he's a bit hardened by now and can take hits a tad better, which will without a doubt be useful. He does behave a bit more reckless, but knows when to stop before it's too late. And he has still room for improvement!
Now he's got what he needs to go on the offensive and actively chase his own dreams. Hisao may be a bit stubborn at times, refusing to go anywhere but straight ahead, but he will listen to reason eventually. While he may now seem scary and unreachable for some, he's still the same good-natured Swinub he once was on the inside. Except, this time, he can actually take you up of any of your challenges, and if it's brute force chances are he'll win.

Always chirpy yet dutiful in her training, Agnès knows how to cheer herself as well as others up to hone their skills. While she lacks power or diversity for now, she has set her mind on becoming better. She's often seen with Emi as she hopes to overcome her natural clumsiness by her side, though it doesn't really seem to work right now...
The first step of her training is now complete: she became a flying Fairy! Maybe seeing Emi evolve before her somewhat hurt her pride, because she redoubled her efforts, feeling that she can reach a much more powerful form. She focuses or her defenses for now, but soon...
And there she is! Agnès Oblige, Wind Rider (as she named herself) is now fully evolved and ready to soar the skies! While her defenses took a small hit due to the fact she can't use Eviolite anymore (she passed it to Reynald as a token of trust and friendship), her offense skyrocketed and she can finally take off to battle for those she cares for. She's a fearsome opponent due to her attacking potential, but will always take care of her foes after the battle is over. That's just the kind of girl she is.

As a Joltik, which means Bug-type, DeRosa isn't really liked by the rest of the cast, and he does have the tendency to speak big but to be lackluster in practice. However, he still sports a surpising amount of tricks and has diabolical precision. He has everything you can think of to annoy you to no end, and finish you off with a quick offensive move. He really needs to learn how to be humble and blend in a group though...
Okay, he didn't really learn that. Now that he's a Galvantula, which is, if you remember well, a 80cm long spider, he's even more feared by most of the group. However, evolving also granted him impressive power, and he still have his incredible accuracy to make use of it. He'll trap you, disarm you by every means possible, and then unleash the bulk of his power unto you. Quite the underhanded fighter if you ask me, but he stands by a firm "a win's a win" mentality. Hadès seems to have taken a liking to him, perhaps drawn to his grand speeches. On the other hand, he tried to zap Agnès once. She didn't like that.

Edea Lee | Mudsdale (Female)
It's a relief Edea has an additional layer of mud to protect her face, because when she wants to butt heads she really goes all-out. Granted, she's incredibly sturdy and can take physical hits like they're nothing, though she has trouble with special ones, and don't even get her started on Grass Knots... But her biggest flaw is her astonishing stubbornness: when she's set on something, good luck trying to tell her otherwise. She just won't listen to anyone. Fortunately, she's still a nice girl at heart, so her sights are often set on something used for the greater good.
Evolving not only made her far stronger and more resilient, but also somehow even thicker. She now claims she absolutely can't be broken through with physical moves, which may or may not be true depending on who she faces. She's really tough and difficult to take down, that's for sure, but she conveniently forgets that she's still vulnerable to special attacks... She's very headstrong though, to the point of recklessly charging in even though more tactical team members are telling her to stay put, but she just can't change her mind to save her life. Oh, and she's become quite self-conscious about her weight, too.
No I haven't! - Edea

Believe it or not, Suleiman was actually a human once. At least, that's what he claims. According to his story, he sailed the sea to find the rarest of treasures to bring back to the love of his life, never content with the pitiful gems and paltry wonders he was finding. He was looking for the ultimate present, you see? Well, one day, while he was looking for more treasure, a storm took his ship by surprise and sank it. His desire of completing his quest got mixed with the surrounding water and voilà! A fresh Frillish, wondering what was happening to him. Quite the strange and unbelievable story, but it is true he knows the seven seas like no one else.
Don't let his goofy looks fool you: Suleiman is now a real sea dweller like few can hope to be. He frantically trying to discover both his ultimate prize and how he came to be had him travel across the entire globe (I had Shizune keep an eye on the guy, wouldn't want him to get lost) and his photographic memory serves him well when it's time to battle. He tries to get the opponent on his home field to unleash a wide variety of tricks upon them, some being rather... weirdly cruel. Fitting for a ghost born of unsatisfied desires, I guess. Though, he still hasn't found why he is like this, nor did he come across a treasure worth bringing back, so he sticks around for now.

Alternis Dim brings the heat and is super dedicated towards training. Taking a literal spin on "blazing spirit", his energy surprised even Kamina, the team's supercharged drill sergeant. Being strong is only a means to an end for Alternis, as he wishes to one day become strong enough to withstand anything fate could throw at him, for his sake and his companions'. To that end, it's not unusual to see him enduring hellish training daily, whereas some other team members would simply go home and get a treat. Kamina swore to make him is second in command should he evolve and reach the level of strength he so desires.
His training finally paid off (or maybe it was when he found that Fire Stone while exploring a cave), and now he's all evolved and ready to burn down opposition. He has a habit of charging in, and any resistance he encounters only strenghtens his will and fire mastery. He did gain a few tools to better fight a wider variety of opponents, but he still relies on Overheat and Flare Blitz more than anything else, putting everything he has into the fight. Many in the team voiced their concerns, emphasizing his lack of consideration for his own well-being, but he still abides by his style. As promised, he is also Kamina's second-in-command, so new team members get two hypermotivated coaches instead of one.

Behold, Magnolia Arch, the... shy Ralts? That doesn't sound very intimidating. Magnolia is a very curious being, often dashing around in the camp to see all kinds of new tricks and oddities the others might have. For now, she's weak, very weak, but she's cute so everyone feels like protecting her -even Kazuma isn't immune to her pleading eyes! She likes to gaze at the moon late at night, feeling an almost hypnotic attraction to the celestial body.
Nothing changed much as a Kirlia, except now she's got a knack for dancing around and she's less shy.
Evolving into Gardevoir though... that's where the real change kicked in. She went from a weak damsel in distress to a force to be reckoned with. Through the power of the moon, she can unleash devastating attacks upon he foes, and if that doesn't work she has plenty of mystic powers to try and restrain you. In general, she's nice to have around, and retains a bit of her naive Ralts self. As such, she's still eager to discover the world, and now that she can fend for herself, she's much more free to go ahead and explore it. What's that? Think her power isn't that impressive? Just you wait until she gets her hand on a Mega Stone...

It is said that Gardevoirites are actually fragments of the Moon imbued with mystical powers. Whether that's true or not, when Magnolia gets one, her power surges and she suddenly becomes able to tear through any threat -otherworldy or not. The excess of moon power also changes her physical appearance, tinting her with colors of the night, instead of the bright white of the sun. She rather appreciates the change, as she always had preferred blue.

Even though he isn't part of the Starting Trio, this Piplup didn't have any difficulty to blend into the team. His fierce yet cheery attitude is a very good (and very needed) middle ground between the girls, and he likes to relax near Kévin's heat source after a good workout. Kamina values the journey more than the destination, and will shrug at a defeat if he believes he improved his own capabilities in the match. On the contrary, he despises complacence and will get do anything to get the others (or even me) to train with him. He wants to reach the stars, and will go through anything it takes for that.
Evolving into a Prinplup didn't really change anyhting to be honest, as he's still striving to learn more and be better. He's more impatient to reach his peak, that's all.
A few ECs later, Kamina reached his final stage, finally becoming as imposing and as powerful as he desired. Now that he has more experience and literal nerves of steel, he can focus on beating his own life lessons into pretty much everyone else (including sparring partners) to awaken their potential. His training has become more specific and shifted from brute strength to technique and finesse.

Kazuma is rather clashing with the rest of the team. Often yelled at by Kamina for slacking off (though he doesn't know Slack Off), he finds solace in Misha's carefree nature and tries his best to avoid trouble. Even though his attacking prowess isn't the best around, when the situation calls for it Kazuma can deploy an impressive variety of tricks to make the opponent trip up. He's an opportunist to the core.
You thought he'd change upon evolving? Nope! While he now has decent attacking power, Kazuma still likes to rely on his arsenal of tricks to throw the opponent off. Being stronger has its perks though, as now he's a somewhat respected member of the team. Still trash though.

Yuuki has kinda been forced upon me, yet I still find him kinda sympathetic and, all in all, he pulls his weight rather well. First member that's not part of the Original 10, this Slowpoke is, true to his kin, very slow on the uptake. It's not unusual to see him nap in battle or be one or even two rounds late! He's still kind-hearted though, and can do wonders if he's not around girls.
The boy has grown from his derpy days. He's now gained much needed brain power, allowing him to actually be a functioning member of the team now. While still capable of dishing out hits, his strong point is his variety of defensive support moves, meaning he's at his best on the rear line, boosting his allies and attacking at a distance. Ironically, he makes a rather good duo with Kazuma. Too bad the latter doesn't really like him.

Elma is another blob of goofy and laid-back adorableness. She absolutely loves rainy weather, and when everyone's in the house trying to cuddle for warmth she's outside sliding and jumping in puddles like she's having the time of her life. That's why she'd logically hang out with Water-types rather than Fire-types, such as Kamina (well the guy somehow hangs out with everyone) and, oddly enough given their opposite mindset, Shizune. Perhaps she's similar enough to Misha that the sea serpent accepts her.
Evolving only gave her more body mass to slide around in the rain. Shizune kind of forced her to regularly train with her and Misha (arguing that 'now that she's evolved she shouldn't be slacking anymore') and she took after them in terms of battle style: a defensively-focused stance followed by brutal tail swings. Not the most refined thing ever, but when your masters are a sea serpent and a blob with arms, what can you expect?
You thought Shizune was huge? Here comes Elma, a Goodra full of draconic glee! While she can't really slide around as much, she still enjoys the rain and won't hesitate to take a night shower if it's rainy outside. Her titanic stature and slimy exterior allows her to fight in close quarters, given that she now actually has usable fists. However, her most devastating weapon is probably her tail, that she can swing with a force enough to blow even the sturdiest members away. Actually, she's now the subject of a contest within the team: who can withstand Elma's tail whips? She's quite happy with the attention, as she can train and have fun at the same time.

Despite what his somewhat creepy appearance would suggest, Meliodas is actually a rather chill guy with no intention to spread evil around him or anything. While he likes to pull pranks from time to time (a consequence of his Dark typing, perhaps?), they're usually harmless and all for the laughs. While some in the team don't really appreciate these pranks, such as Shizune, he always manages to get at least one or two team members to commit mischief. His favorite target is Richard as the latter is really jumpy and often reacts in a way that only makes Meliodas want to tease him more.
He's pretty charismatic and knows how to rally people should he need to, though he rarely needs to as he's just happy to wander around. However, just like Selphine, he becomes absolutely feral once angered and gives up any semblance of compassion. In fact, both of them should never be fighting the same opponent because of the risk of said opponent being torn to shred by both of them.

Interestingly enough, while Mako is as careless as others, she's also much more focused on battling and becoming stronger. Not really for herself, but she believes she'll earn her rightful place if she manages to be strong. That doesn't prevent her from enjoying life as it comes, though, and she's more than happy to make friends -or sparring partners. Her dream is to lead the way for team to reach the highest peak.
Evolution made her deadlier, but she doesn't seem to realize it as she's pretty much the same she always was (or maybe she doesn't care). Her light is stronger now, which means she can actually lead people to their goal should her team fall into a dark place. While she has a limited arsenal to her disposition, she'll always say that "Soak and Volt Switch are the only tools I need anyway". Also she now likes flowers despite being a fish-like Pokémon.

Tanukichi Okuma | Tangrowth (Male)
This little Tangela was the first Pokémon to come to my aid when I washed ashore on an unknown island after a tidal wave separated me from my main team. Guess I am fated to start with Grass-types, huh. Anyway, this guy is kind to a fault, but rather secretive and quiet. He'd rather not get into trouble, yet he'll help if someone else is in danger -in his own, not-really-confident way. He's still surprisingly resilient for his size and while he has a bit of trouble dishing hits out just yet, he takes them like a champ. Not as good as Edea, granted, but he's also much less of a headache to deal with...
I can't really tell whether evolving helped him gain self-confidence. Sure, he's a bit more outspoken now, but isn't it just because he has more vines to hide under...? While he's still as formidable of a tank as ever, he really worked on improving his offensive capabilities, and can now fire a large array of moves, some of them kind of puzzling to be honest (how the hell can a walking bag of vines use Ancient Power?). I suspect he's been fueling his pride with his vast range of offensive attacks, and he seems to enjoy competing against Elma for "who can use the most types of attacks". Weird, but at least that keeps him sharp.

Now if you like Pokémon that fight dirty, Stocking's your best bet. That little Croagunk isn't above instilling poison in each and every one of her attacks, just to be extra sure to secure that win, you know? She loves to taunt her opponent before and during the match, so teaching her new moves isn't actually the challenging part -teaching her to be fair-play is! While she isn't the strongest, she's still very annoying to face due to her poisonous attacks and her natural agility, lending her a good hit-and-run profile. She also likes to eat a lot, preferably sweets.
And now she's all evolved. She certainly doesn't mind the extra power but still relies mostly on quick attacks full of poison before retreating and letting the toxins do their work. However, she also became quite skilled at overcoming a poison-resistant opponent if need be with precise strikes, or overwhelm them with powerful hits that trade finesse for power, something she couldn't do as a Croagunk. She now also spits mad roasts (guess the venom isn't only in the barbs, huh) and eats even more, for some reason.

Nanachi is a cute little thing that wants nothing more than living a soothing life, far from the agitation of the city. However, things weren't all smooth for the Eevee. Forced away from her family, she had to fight daily for food and often had to sleep on an empty stomach. Given her rather weak constitution as an Eevee, she also was sometimes attacked by stronger Pokémon and forced to flee. All of these combined easily explain why she was so wary of us, but the smell of dinner and a few attentionate team members (mostly Lilly and Agnès, Misha would've been too obnoxious and scared her away) and she was firmly decided to join us. Better than roaming the world alone, I guess. I wonder what she'll evolve into?
As a Leafeon, Nanachi is much more deadly. Her natural affinity with nature made her a remarkable master of plant-based mixtures, be they the poison or the cure. Her troubled youth granted her above average toughness, and she outclasses fellow Eeveelution Daraen by having more interesting moves at her disposal. Ultimately she's still much of the same character though, and likes sunbathing and a quiet environment. She's still a curious being and will often try to peek at whatever unusual event happens in the camp, even if she will fiercely deny she was curious. She very well intends to stand her own ground from now on!

Jibril is all about that air control, you know? You won't find a bird more at ease in the air and more proud about their prowess while riding the wind. Honestly though, these wings aren't just for show, as she is the fastest team member in the air and the only one to fully take advantage of her air speed. She can be very obstinate (as all Starlys are if the Sinnoh Pokédex is to be trusted) and won't stop chasing after her designated opponent until one of the two is down for the count. Though, due to her small size, she sometimes comes off as more adorable than threatening...
Staravia feels like an adolescent phase for her: she became a bit clumsy, as if she couldn't adapt to her new weight and wingspan. Her turns aren't as sharp, she can fall midair because she didn't flap correctly, and she still needs to better detect air currents. Doesn't stop her from trying to beat her own air speed record though, and she's becoming quite good at divebombing! Also, she's less cute now.
Staraptor is one of the deadliest foes to go against in the sky, and boy did Jibril manage to overcome her previous clumsiness to become every bit of a predator. Her divebombing abilities are incredible, complimenting her main method of engaging a battle: betting everything on raw strength, no matter the damage she takes. While she doesn't have a lot of friends, she spends the most time with Alternis Dim, given they joined the team at the same moment and share more or less the same battle philosophy. She also likes Emi for her spirit, but is a bit wary of everyone else.

Ah, Comfey. What a strange species. They are mostly pacifistic, perfecty content with lying around flowers and happy to meet strangers and wrap around some part of their bodies, preferably the neck. And, well, that's what Nadeshiko does as well! She's just happy to be there, warming up the atmosphere, happily chattering and just putting others at ease. She just has that soothing presence (or maybe it's her flowers? Could be it...) that makes you crave hot chocolate and a bedtime story.
Not to say she's not feeling good on the battlefield though! Well, she still tries to warmly welcome and and all opponents, which can be confusing at times. She always enjoys battles, as it's the easiest way for her to meet new people, and will cheerfully try to win only to offer her opponent a nice, relaxing session of aromatherapy afterwards. If she lost she'll just use it as an excuse to stay comfortably at home for a while. What a cute lazy bun!

Aaaaah, look at how cute that little Azurill is! Well, okay, she's not the strongest yet, but that's because she still has to learn how to correctly use her strength! And she's trying her best, I'll have you know! As a rather outgoing fellow, Sayaka is content with hanging out with basically everyone and has a very adaptable temperament, allowing her to be at ease with everyone.
Little changed with her becoming a Marill, except now she joined the Water-team club, which means both Kamina and Shizune have her under their wing. She's happy to train with them though, knowing it's the only way to access her hidden potential, which may very well blow her current, rather weak self out of the water...
Finally blossoming into the sea maiden she always wanted to be, Sayaka's final evolution granted her incredible strength. Training as hard as she did improved her physical capabilities beyond average, so much she can strongarm pretty much 70% of the team now, as well as making her overcome her weaknesses to Grass-types. She's an all-rounded fighter, but her biggest strength is also her biggest weakness: she's much too reliant on Huge Power. Should that be stripped away from her, she's back at a pitiful power level, and that would trigger Azurill/Marill PTSD.

Did you know? Omanytes are thought to be extinct because their shells grew too heavy for them, rendering them incapable of catching prey. And guess what? This Omanyte right there must be one of this kind, because damn it doesn't move much. It spends time in the water, doing Arceus knows what, and when someone comes too close it either retreats within its shell or straight up shoots water at the intruder. Like, come on, you're part of a team, you know?!
*sigh* Well, on the one hand, Aqua is much more willing to cooperate now. On the other hand... the best thing she can do is dance and show off. Not even as a strategy or something, mind you, because she's too dumb to create strategies. No, just because she wants to. I guess she's stronger now, so her Water attacks hit harder, but having strong attacks is only half the win! You gotta know how to use them! Oh, and she's keen on trying to get Kazuma to dance as well. He's not happy about that.

Yes, that was an easy reference to make. Now, Simon is an all-out attacker at its core: throwing Earthquakes around and generally trying to overpower his opponent with strong attacks. However, he cas also be tricky from time to time, most notably trying to abuse Sandstorm for itself to get ever more powerful attacks! Though, he's still stuck to the ground for now, but Kamina took him in to teach him the ways of a true Steel-type Pokémon... His joyous personality and hardworking spirit make him fit right at home with the rest of the cast.
Drilling may be the only thing he's good at as an Excadrill, but you better believe he damn excels at it. Tricks? Eh. Defensive options? Aside from his typing, not much? Pure, unadultered, willpower-fueled raw offense? That's the good stuff. He'll attack and attack and attack until his opponent is left powerless on the ground or he is. Plain, simple, yet effective.

Nova is polite and docile. A bit too polite and docile, actually. There's something off about someone that always nods and smiles, whatever you say to their face. But Nova is just like that: he'll gladly do anything he's tasked with and happily help around… but he never talks about himself, and actually will never talk unless talked to. A bit creepy, but he does pull off his own weight here so no complains.
He's all grown-up now… and nothing changed much. He's still diligent, still mysterious and still powerful. It's honestly a wonder this Pokémon even knows how to work in a team. When he's off-duty, he's actually on-duty, fixing what needs to be fixed, cleaning what needs to be cleaned. He never takes a rest, even if he's alone at work. Especially if he's alone at work. Trying sneaky mind reading (not that I endorse it, btw, mind reading someone without their consent is morally wrong) only yielded pure static, something that's worrying on its own. Mawiles are often depicted as deceiving and vicious. Apparently Selphine isn't a Mawile then, because she's as sweet as the food she craves. She's very close to Misha because of their similar personalities, and it's not rare to see them together, happily chatting about pretty much everything. Weirdly enough, Selphine told me once she held great power even among other Mawiles, therefore she was treated with utter respect. It was hard to believe until one of her (fortunately) extremely rare bursts of anger, where she mercilessly and completely annihilated her foe and almost went for the Trainer, though I came in time to stop the disaster. Just... don't make her angry, okay? Out of everyone, she is the one you don't want to anger. The best way to gain her affection is to actually feed her.

In this form, she drops a good chunk of her carelessness and becomes a fierce fighter, capable of crushing entire teams all by herself. The main drawback is that she's angered more easily, as she will not accept any insult to her (kinda newborn) pride.

Plutia is a nice, easygoing, happy-go-lucky adorable plant that's just kinda living in her own world. Even when she fights, she'll just go at it shouting "Wooooo!" and attempt to headbutt the foe in cute fashion, only to stop two minutes after and complain she's hungry and don't want to fight anymore. Not the easiest team member to handle but hardly the weirdest ever, and seeing her joyously skipping across the camp is enough to bring a smile to most.
She's even more charming as a Steenee, because now she actually fights, but still with a bit of childishness, which is actually sweet to watch. She tries to take fighting a bit seriously though, perhaps sensing she may have challenges lying ahead of her. Girl's got legs too! In fact, they're her main weapon in battle; she values her hard sepals and rarely uses them to hit an opponent. She still worries me a bit because she sometimes sports quite the demonic expression...
Okay. Help. She turned into a sadistic freak that loves to kick people in the face. Uh, nothing more to say, though she did amp up the offenses and the defenses quite a bit. But still...

Daraen | Espeon (Male)
Interestingly enough, while this Eevee is your average Eevee in terms of cuteness, he's also extremely acute and perceptive. Aimlessly wandering around isn't his thing: he has everything planned out and carefully tailored towards optimization. That serves him well in battle: he always seems to be three steps ahead of his opponent, which is not only fascinating to watch, but also infuriating for the poor Pokémon trying to fight him. I noticed he's been looking at the sun with glimmering eyes, so I guess I know what to evolve him into...
And now he's an Espeon, the Sun Pokémon. Yup, as expected. His psychic powers are stronger than ever, giving him a serious tactical advantage on the battlefield when he tries to get in his opponent's head. While being an Espeon grants him a kjghpillion tricks and ways to trip the opponent up, his pure offense sadly needs to be brushed up a bit. But he doesn't let that kind of details get to him. he'll still fight his way to the end, and see the sun rise on another day.

Boy is Grima quite the weird one. While he says he enjoys destruction above everything else, "destruction" mostly means running around and headbutting whatever comes into his line of sight. For this reason, he's treated like a difficult child by most of the team (he often gets punished by Lilly, Manon, Kamina and/or Richard) and he's kind of difficult to approach without getting injured, though he usually have interesting bits of story to tell, meaning it could be just a phase or something?
Zweilous has two heads and this one has a bipolar disorder. Let's see: one of the heads is able to hold a conversation perfectly well (still a bit haughty though), the other just bites and headbutts friend and foe alike. And obviously, both look the exact same so it's a gamble when you want to approach it. The talking head tells tales of civilizations rising and falling, kings and peasants, geological eras and so on, making you wonder what exactly is in that brain of his...
Three heads and one goal: to spread destruction alongside the word of its power around. Yes, "destruction" is back, though this time it's an actual thing due to the incredible power of Grima's draconic blows. He'll hit hard with everything he has, hoping that's enough to raze his opponent to the ground, and if that's not the case he'll still try again, for this is his only battling method. When he's not busy firing laser beams at everything, he's often sleeping or eating, away from most of the cast because of his very particular attitude. A real war machine, this one, I'm telling ya.

Well, most of my team is composed of mostly good-natured fellows. Some are quirky, or haughty, or airheaded, but they're all rather nice. Dahlia is not nice in the slightest. And I didn't even want to capture her, either, she just snatched a Poké Ball from me and forcefully entered it! She'll delight in your desperation and agony, hoping to squeeze out a few more screams out of you, trying to savor the taste of your struggles. She's got a really, really twisted mindset, but tries to hide it under a rather cute appearance. Well, at least she's efficient in battle, but I can't say I'm particularly thrilled…
Yeah, there definitely are two creepy Grass-types in the team. I thought I had enough work at hand wit Iris Heart, what with keeping her from abusing people and Pokémon for their pleasure, but Dahlia outclasses her by leagues. Some people like being abused, and Iris Heart targets those the most, so at least everyone wins (sorta). Nobody likes to have their life energy sucked out of them as the perpetrator slowly crushes them with her deceptively strong hair-arms thingies while singing a peaceful lullaby. Worst thing of all? The two mentally unstable psychopaths are actually friends! The whole team keeps turn at keeping an eye on them, we wouldn't want to wake up one day to death, desolation and mad laughs...

A Dragon never yields! This is Dhurke's motto, and you can bet he'll fight for it. He is always ready to show his faith in what he believes by delivering a serious fight. I found him at the end of a deep cave, withdrawn from the world and certainly not willing to go back to the light of day. However, since I had heard of its incredible prowess and spirit, I (and the team) gave it my all and finally managed to beat him, witnessing firsthand his terrifying power.
Now, don't get me wrong. He's actually a rather mellow fellow, and in his time not spent in battle he likes to leisurely stroll around, rediscovering the surface. He tells jokes, spars a bit with people that want to, goes around to find Berries or any interesting item, helps with camp life, tries to lend a hand if needed, etc. A cool dude, through and through.
But in battle... It's like a switch of his is turned on. He may be down to the last silver of HP or drop of energy, and he'll still stand fierce, roar in defiance and give you everything he's got. "A Dragon never yields" is his motto, and he'll carve it within your skin if you drop your guard even a little, thinking he's done for. He's not. Even when wounded, a dragon bites down hard, and never lets go till its dying breath. It glares, it roars, and it latches its jaws firmly onto its prey till the bitter end!

Bahamut is very peculiar in the team, as as of the time I'm writing this he's the only one that can't talk at all. It's not like he doesn't want to, he seems to not know the basics of language. As such, he only speaks in some variation of "Baha". He also has a tendency to fire up more than his body can withstand, and extinguish his flames quickly.
Nope, still doesn't talk. Although he's stronger now and can maintain his flames for longer, he still has trouble with big bursts of energy, leaving him exhausted and needing to rest in the sun for around a day. Even when he's not in that state, he still loves to sleep in the sun. Helping around with tasks requiring fire (such as cooking or camping) is one of his greatest pleasures, and you'll see him happily baha'ing while doing it.

Cirno is an adept of cold climates. Surprisingly, this one was found in Sinnoh and not in Alola, where it should be located. Very sure of herself, she won't hesitate to charge in head first in battle. The thing is, when she realizes she bit off more than she can chew (which is rather often), she'll try to retreat... but that's not how it works. As such, she often gets KOed because of her own reckless temperament. She also dislikes Fire-types, claiming they give her terrible migraines due to the heat they exsude.
Since her first real battle had her beating a literal god, her ego inflated like a Drifblim and she struts around proudly everytime she can. Which would be fine if she could keep that record up consistently, but there's just a small problem: she's incredibly dumb. Tactics? Plans? That's for people that can actually use their brain. Fire Blizzards as fast as you can, that's what she'd do if I weren't there to help her not faint from her own stupidity. It's honestly a wonder she managed to survive this long in the wild...

Despite scientific claims that Staryus have no brain to speak of, Rachel is a commander to the bone. Eh, Staryus don't have bones either, but you get my point. While she doesn't talk because Staryus have no mouth either (what DO they have?), the way she uses her moves is a clear indicator that everything's planned. It's like she innately knows what to do and when to do it. Also, don't worry: if she ever loses a limb, it'll grow back no problem!
Evolving into a Psychic-type is neat, because it automatically grants you telekinesis. What do you mean that's not how it works? Now able to, er, "talk", Rachel can offer us a glimpse of her incredibly analytic (no pun intended) mind. She will usually plan out her main method of attack, then one or two backup plans to fall back on if her main strategy goes down the drain. Said main strategy is usually focused on gunning harder than the opposant, leaving tricks to the backup plans. She won't hesitate to use them should the need arise, and will only feel mercy for her opponent after the battle is over (which is kind of against the point, but whatever). Proving impervious to any of her planned strategies will have her thrown off enough she'll be inefficient. That just goes to show how much she relies on strategy! She's good friends with Daraen due to their similar mindsets.

This naive little Horsea is trusting to a fault. He immediately took a liking to me due to my abundance of Water-types, and came along without ever questioning that decision. For now, his fighting style revolves around shooting water at a safe distance, not doing so good at close quarters for now. He's also rather frail, so I'll just train him against practice targets and wait until he evolves.
Okay so Seadra is better than Horsea, that's for sure. Sturdier, faster, with cool spikes. It still leaves a bit to be desired, though, with its offense kinda lacking. Now, Corrin has just started experimenting with his draconic power, so he will still need time, but it's showing promising results already. He also kinda likes the spikes, though the poison dripping from them deters pretty much everyone else from approaching too closely.
Well, no spikes anymore for you. Having almost complete power over his dragon blood, Corrin achieved a more streamlined state, allowing him to use much more powerful moves. And that's good, because he's still more or less the same otherwise! He's still friendly to almost everyone and goes out of his way to make sure he knows everyone and can tend to their needs if he can. He's sweet, but can be overbearing at times, which is why the more solitary members usually try to avoid him. He doesn't mind.

This little Litwick has a little problem: he's kinda afflicted with chuunibyou. He's convinced to be destined to rule over everything ghostly in this world and in the next. I tried several times to reason him, but he just won't listen. I mean, he still has a lot of potential, but I don't see him as the true ruler of the afterlife. He doesn't hold a candle to anyone in the damage department though, except maybe Kévin, whose advice he likes to listen to.
Evolution didn't do anything to calm his fantasies despite me hoping otherwise. It worsened the case! Now he's talking about reaching his ultimate form and drowning the Earth under a sea of dark flames or something. Help.
ALRIGHT I WAS WRONG OKAY? He really became powerful, but he's still as cheesy and delusional and that's unbearable! I mean, okay, Ghost/Fire is a pretty cool offensive typing and it's got nice power to boot, but that's nowhere near being able to engulf the planet in flames or endlessly torturing the soul of its enemies. It. Is. Not. At least he's willing to listen to me...

Being a Trainer on the run means you gotta get food from somewhere, especially with a little army like mine. However, despite having a lot of Grass-types, none of them was really into farming work. Thus came the new recruit: Demeter. She's got a green thumb, and plowing the land is easy cake for her. Under her rule, the more enthusiastic members of the group (namely, Elma and, strangely enough, Selphine) began growing berries and other vegetables for everyone to enjoy. What a cutie!
Now that she evolved, Demeter is as skilled as battling as she is as farming. Seamlessly using the strength and nature affinity her countless her of working the fields gave her, she charges into battle and overwhelms the opponent with fearsome offense. Off the battlefield, she's good friends with Nanachi, who asks her to grow specific plants, and Simon, who gladly helps tilling the crops. Don't ask her for milk though, else you're in for a good smack!

Bookstore Basement:

Richard lives, fights and breathes for one ideal and one only: justice. The very thought of injustice makes him shiver and he won't hesistate to rush to the side of Pokémon under attack... which is a problem since he's not really that strong himself (yet). As such, he's viewed as more brawns than brains, and even if his heart is pure, he often only sees the world in black and white, which is not something commonly shared within the team...
His evolution changed things to the core. He upholds the same ideals, but now he has the necessary power to enforce them if needed. While he's not the strictest of minds, he still like to act as a policeman within the team, trying to redress the members' wrongdoings, which doesn't really please the more lax of them, such as Kazuma and especially Meliodas. There is also frequent friction with Manon and Shizune because giving them orders isn't really to their liking. Nevertheless, everyone now respects his power.

Only when an ally is in danger is Richard able to reach this form, in order to protect them with his newfound power. While not gaining anything in terms of defense would seem counterproductive, the major buff in offenses allows him to plow through opposition with unrivaled power. He truly becomes the guardian of justice.

We've got our share of silent buddies here, what with most quiet or meditating team members, but this one might take the cake. Butler doesn't talk if not absolutely necessary. He lets his actions speak for themselves, ruthlessly trying to ensure victory by all means. He packs quite a punch for such a small Pokémon, and gets a few tricks as well, just so he isn't one-dimensional. He's got a really promising future ahead, I think.
Evolving improved his defensives capabilities a lot, because now he's all covered in metal that offers excellent protection against anything that's not Fire Blast. While it would seem he'd be a bit lacking in the offensive department, his Heavy Slams and Gyro Balls can dish out the pain just right, and he's got plenty of neat field tools to pressure opponents. It's a shame his metal shell made him even more secretive, leaving everyone at an arm's length and rarely, if ever, talking. Some of the most quirky and/or stubborn team members often follow him around and try to get something out of him, but to no avail. Rin in particular seems to have taken a liking to him, and can babble to her heart's content.

Legendary Lane:

This one has a bit of a backstory. You see, after the events in Alola, the Aether Foundation was undergoing a massive restructuration to clean up every corrupt member. Well, while that turned out well, some of these members managed to retreat back to a secondary base in Akala and overtake it, laying their hands on some of the research material and equipment there was there. Secretly, they managed to create another Ultra Wormhole and lured a Nihilego out before catching it to experiment on.
They slipped up though, and got noticed. Guess who was sent there to burst through the base and save the day? Yup, the dream team and I. After a bit of spring cleaning, we finally managed to rescue the Pokémon. However, that was only the beginning. Every Psychic-type in the band tried to establish telepathic contact, and every one got left shaking in absolute terror. They still refuse to tell me what they saw to this day. Nevertheless, they were very clear in that we needed to take Nihilego away from this place, and since carrying it around in Alola wasn't the best idea, I just caught it, swearing to protect it from harm. It's slowly recovering from its trauma as of now. Without a defined name, we just called it "Subject N".
Subject N's behavior is kind of a mystery since it can't talk, can telepatically communicate but does it only exceptionally, and I don't want to make Misha et al. try again at telepathy. It's pretty docile by itself, but its lack of control with its neurotoxin means you'll get aggressive if you stay close to it for a long time. Rin doesn't seem to be affected though, and Subject N is often seen following her around, expressing what may be curiosity.
