Prolific Smogon Battlers - November 2008

1022 is a much more sobering figure once you realize that the uber ladder is considerably less active than the standard one. For those of you who don't already know, Vareth is my alt on shoddy. I spend allot of time laddering, and anything around 2xx is "above regular laddering". If I spent all my free time laddering, I could double that figure pretty easily. But 1000+, wow. Ramon, how did you do it?
 
I'm disappointed to be "only" at #29. I should point out that I'm a pastor, so I'm not home to be on Shoddy the VAST majority of the time. ;)
 
How do you do 1600 battles in a month? Thats just incomprehensible to me. these people need to learn there is more to life than Pokemon ;).

Very nice feature though Doug, says a lot who actually dedicates their time to the game.
 
0.o How am I not up there. Maybe if this was with ubers I would've been up there but I guess it isn't up to me. I do around 10 battles a day on standard.

heh most of these battles were on one day too :P btw people play ubers, just look at those pathetic statistics ;_;

Yeah, that would be me. The only thing more surprising than someone who spends so much time battling -- is the person who spends even more time writing programs to calc stats on those battles!

If you count the total time I spend programming this stuff (Shoddy fixes and upgrades included), I bet I spend more time than the top battlers on the server. Actually, I probably blow them away by far.

So, if anyone wants to throw out any "Get a life" comments -- you should direct it to me.

No, I just did this for fun. I may run the programs again in the future, but I'm not going to make this part of the standard monthly reports. These reports are a by-product of some new stats I gathered to help me administer the server. Despite my comments above, I actually have more free time than usual right now (I'm on vacation from work). So, I made this report for kicks. When my schedule goes back to normal, I doubt I'll have time to run this stuff.
 
Maybe thats why I never got too high even when I had some nice streaks...I had 10 battles tops. Usually much less because I had to go through the ordeal of finding how a guy played then breaking his stall...which usually annoyed me enough to leave.
 
Yeah lol, the guy played himself so many times it's not even funny...Well doug, is this going to be some sort of monthly thing since i really like these stats, imo they're better than usage stats ^_^.

I'm making a pact to break top 5 this month. I can do it easily since i use super offensive teams and battle 2-3 battles at a time :-D!

I dont know if i should be ashamed, but to make this sound like less of an excuse:

I have alot more accounts than the average person, most of them test accounts when i felt like fooling around.

Then you add on I do like 5 battles at once, sometimes 2 or 3 against the same person, and I play for about 2 Hrs a day while doing HW

I'll let someone with better math skills do the work
