Hello everyone, and welcome to the first USM installment of Pseudo OU!
The premise of this tournament is to incorporate lower tiers as rounds progress, giving uncommon Pokemon the chance to shine in OU. Each participant will have to build with any Pokemon from the tiers listed for that round, given that the Pokemon are legal in that tier. To simplify things, this is what each round will look like (as of now) for this tour:
Round 1: 5 OU / 1 BL (completed)
Round 2: 4 OU / 1 BL / 1 UU
Round 3: 3 OU / 1 BL / 1 UU / 1 RU
Round 4: 3 OU / 1 UU / 1 RU / 1 NU
Round 5: 3 OU / 1 BL / 1 RU / 1 NU (subject to change)
Finals: TBD
Specific Rules
- Follow the tiering format displayed for that round; if you don't, you will be DQ'd
- Single elimination, best of one
- Matches are to be played on PS! in OU format
- Replays are highly encouraged in the case of settling a dispute, but not required

All standard clauses apply:
- Sleep Clause: If a player has already put an opposing Pokémon to sleep using a sleep inducing move and that Pokémon is still sleeping due to that sleep inducing move, the player cannot put another opposing Pokémon to sleep using a sleep inducing move.
- Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same species of Pokémon on their team, based on the National Pokedex Number. For example, a player cannot have two Koffing on his or her team.
- Evasion Clause: Players cannot use Double Team or Minimize in any of their Pokémon's movesets.
- OHKO Clause: Players cannot use Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, or Fissure in any of their Pokémon's movesets.
- Timer Clause: If a player exhausts the timer, he/she loses.
The goal of this tournament is to give players the chance to use lower-tiered Pokemon that usually don't see usage in OU. If you ever wondered how Staraptor would fare among the realms of OU, now is the chance to experiment. You are expected to not john for any reason after joining the tournament. Deadlines will be strictly enforced and extensions will seldom be given in order to not drag on the tour.
The format of this round will be 4 OU / 1 BL / 1 UU. Your team must have these Pokemon in their team to be valid. Using lower tiered Pokemon from the ones specified is acceptable.
Extended deadline for substitute matches is Friday, March 9th @ 10 PM EDT GMT -5. The deadline for Round 2 is Tuesday, March 13th @ 10 PM EDT GMT -5.
