Scrafty @ Psychium Z
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Zen Headbutt

This Scrafty set utilizes Psychium Z to break past would-be checks to its other sets like Garbodor, Weezing, and Golbat, which can otherwise set up entry hazards or wear it down with Rocky Helmet or attacks. Thanks to Shed Skin and good natural bulk, Scrafty often has safe setup opportunities against Weezing and passive Pokemon like Blastoise, and it can outpace fast Pokemon such as Heliolisk and non-Choice Scarf Delphox after a boost. Scrafty's STAB moves and Zen Headbutt give it the coverage to tackle defensive cores using Pokemon like Slowking, Steelix, Incineroar, and Golbat, giving it a defined niche as a threatening setup sweeper that's difficult to check once it obtains boosts. Scrafty can struggle to deal with Fighting- and Fairy-types like Passimian, Comfey, and Whimsicott; however, this makes Poison-types like Garbodor and Golbat ideal teammates, and they can also set up Toxic Spikes and bring in Scrafty against Pokemon like Steelix and Xatu with U-turn, respectively.

Thanks to Shed Skin and good natural bulk, Scrafty can often set up more than once against Weezing and other defensive Pokemon like Blastoise, giving it the power to dismantle most teams while edging out fast Pokemon like Sceptile, Aerodactyl, and Choice Scarf Passimian talked over Discord, let's change these to examples that Scrafty outpaces at +1. Scrafty's STAB moves and Zen Headbutt give it the coverage to tackle defensive cores using Pokemon like Slowking, Rhydon mention Steelix > Rhydon here just because KingLix + Golbat core, Incineroar, and Golbat, giving it a defined niche as a threatening setup sweeper that's difficult to check once it obtains boosts. Scrafty can struggle to deal with Fighting- and Fairy-types like Passimian and Comfey may as well give Whimsicott a mention here; it's one of the best offensive Scrafty checks in the tier, however, which makes Poison-types like Garbodor and Golbat ideal teammates, and they can also set up Toxic Spikes and provide momentum with U-turn, respectively maybe reword the golbat support part to address better how golbat draws in stuff that scrafty can set up versus (lix, xatu, etc).
qc 1/1 once done
